A good a/c company is surprisingly difficult to find in Miami (at least for me) -- and EXTREMELY important, because ... it tends to be hot out. Like everyone else who wrote a review for Reliable Air Conditioning, I had a great experience with this company. The man (I believe his name was Henry) came out on time, pretty early in the morning, and fixed the problem I was having with my a/c quickly, easily and, as far as I know, very reasonably; it could just be that I expect a really high price quote for anything a/c related. They tried telling me that I needed to replace a whole electrical system on the outside part of my air conditioning unit it . Which they installed my unit two years ago it's brand new. And it only turned out to be the thermostat that was replaced in less than 30 seconds by someone else even after I suggested it to them because I saw it a little loose they said oh no that's not it and yes that was it!! I can't believe they would treat me this way after I've used them for years and they were the ones that installed myUnit unless they changed owners, May be the problem! So the workers seem like a bunch of scammers, trying to get me to spend more money unnecessarily on a brand new unit and it's only a thermostat are you kidding me?!? And if you know you need a ladder to work at my house why would you show up here without one Not once, but twice !! Even after I reminded him the date of the appointment! SMH!! They left me three days in "July in Miami "in sweltering heat.... So Call and research someone else!! Said that they would do that to a repeat client not anymore though!!! I meant to write this review months ago when Reliable came fore house visit in April. My AC was acting up, I had a feeling I had to just change the filter but live in an apartment building where I wasn't sure how to access the filter. They told me the could come within and hour and a half but I was hungry so they were flexible with me and came a little later after I had a chance to get some lunch... The tech was at my property within the hour and diagnosed a faulty fan motor thank god they had a replacement part available in their truck. On the first trip they came out to service the AC at my new home. All went well and he also pointed out that my drainage line was going right into the main sewer line without a trap. I didn't have him fix anything at the time, but at night we started smelling this musty smell which we thought was sewage odor coming back up through the pipe. So I had them came out a second time to install the trap right before we went on vacation. About an hour after he left the AC was leaking water everywhere! I shut it off immediately and dried everything up then ran out the door to catch a flight. Once we came back from vacation, I couldn't get them to come back out during the week after 6pm (and we couldn't wait a week for AC) so I had my father wait at the house. The guy then removed the trap and put the pipe back the original way it started (waste of money getting the original trap - wouldn't give a refund). In the end I ended up routing the pipes myself through the garage wall into the bushes outside and capping off the sewer line (which is what should have been done originally). read more

These guys are the best. I own a unit in South Beach and am rarely there. The AC wasn't working right, so I called first thing in the morning and they sent someone 2 hours later. I described my observations to them and they were able to figure it out right away. 30 minutes later my unit was working again. Will surely use them again in the future. Thank goodness. My other go to AC guy has been flakey and it has caused me so many problems in the last 2 years. These guys are really the best. COOL AIR USA told me how bad my ac was mold, old, the worse thing they had seen in their careers!! i was like really it was perfect yesterday and no one had ever mentioned that it was that bad before. ?? As soon as they walked through the door they wanted me to fill out their form and sign it. i filled it out but didnt sign. i was waiting for the job to be complete.so they go on the roof and claim that everything had to be changed. Long story short they tried to get me for $468. A new contactor and capacitor.. I wasn't going for it. so we ended up agreeing that we could change the contactor for $235. i signed and they left. 5 min goes by its still blowing hot air, 2 hours go by still hot air. now its 10pm no one to call still hot air.... sweat all night. I woke up called RELIABLE AIR CONDITIONING so they can to give me a second opinion and let me know if i was fooled. Nick came didn't want me to sign my rights away in the first 5 min. he looked at the unit said it was in good condition and that it was clean! showed me pics of a moldy ac and i was in shock that i was lead to believe that my unit was from 1800's and needed everything done to it! ok he goes upstairs to the roof i told him that Cool Air USA changed the contactor he took one look at it and said no they didn't it still has dust on it and its the original that comes with the unit. So the crooks at COOL AIR USA pretended to change a part did nothing and took payment! wow. Nick my new friend from RELIABLE AIR CONDITIONING troubleshooted the unit and changed the Capacitor and the unit is running beautifully. 5 min later im cool!!!! Nick your the best and thank you RELIABLE AIR CONDITIONING for sending him. I will deal with that other company on monday! P.S. One other thing that creeped me out ladies is the tech from Cool Air Usa kept saying so do you have a boyfriend, i see the pictures around your apartment are you alone. I didn't sleep soundly last night for fear the somehow he would come back. I have since notified my building security to not let them in the building on my behalf. You hear horror stories about A/C Companies gouging home owners because they know how desperate we become when our A/C goes down. Well, we had such an experience with an A/C Company called Cool Air USA. Their technicians came in, spent less than 3 minutes inspecting our Compressor and then proceeded to quote us $600 to replace 2 capacitors. They also told us that the entire unit needed to be replaced ($1,800 - $2,400) because in the technician's opinion, he said "if this was my house, I would replace the unit". Thank goodness for Mr. Henry Munoz, the owner/operator of RELIABLE AIR CONDITIONING. We contacted him for a 2nd. opinion and are so thankful we found him via Yelp. He came over, spent the appropriate time to inspect our Compressor and then even took the time to replace the Capacitor to check/make sure that this was the actual problem. Turns out he was spot on and that we only needed 1 Capacitor replaced. He then also cleaned our Compressor, which greatly improved the cooling of our house. His Cost was $180. Unlike the other company that was totally trying to gouge us, Mr. Munoz demonstrated integrity, honesty and decency and provided a great service for the right price. After reading good reviews on here....I decided to use "UN-Reliable..." Bad choice... Had them out to repair our unit. Upon inspection - they ASSURED me I needed to replace my entire (5 year old) unit. Thought it would be a good idea to get a second opinion. Reached out to Debon Air...they sent a nice professional repairman out the same day. Advised me the problem was the unit needed to have the coils cleaned out, which they did....at a fraction of the price of a new unit....and now it is running like new again. Companies like "Reliable Air Conditioning" give good ethical companies a bad name. Sorry I can't give them a 0 star. read more

My regular A/C company went out of business. My friends had no one to recommend so after reading several reviews I called Reliable...and they were. They offered me same day service, after 5pm. They arrived an hour and a half later than they said they would, but they arrived. It took them about 20 minutes to determine and repair the problem. The grand total was $125 which I was able to pay with a credit card. I am more than satisfied. read more

Typical S Fla power surge broke a/c. Read Yelp reviews and called. Less than 1 hr later they were up on the roof and diagnosed a problem... blown capacitor and booster. Hello south beach.once again my A/C leaked freon.Ive been dealing with problem for at least two years off and on.so I called Reliable A/C and they got the job done in about 3 hours..i always would use Snow White but they wanted me to buy a whole roof unit.Reliable techs put pressure in all of my lines and found a leak in the pipes between my unit and the roof in the crawl space.I asked for Henry and he brought to of his techs,Angle and Alex and they fixed the problem.Snow White?
