I give this company 2 stars because it cost $205 for their "emergency" locksmith visit. I had just moved into a new house over the weekend and I guess wasn't use to all the new locks. Long story short I locked myself out of my house on Monday at 7:15 in the morning, it was -1 out and I had my dog with me. No phone, no wallet - new neighborhood. I actually flagged down a garbage man near by to let me use his phone to bail me out. So yeah, I get it - I was in a bind and I didn't have many options but goddamn it took the dude 3 seconds to bust open my lock by bangning a universal key with a hammer in the door and he's like: "ok that will be $200". I will say this - the guy was nice, they arrived somewhat quickly (about 30-45 minutes after I called) and got the door open right away (not that it's hard with a lock picking set). So overall I wouldn't say the service itself was bad, I'm still just in shock it was $200. read more

I Lost my Key to a 2007 Jeep Commander, I sent a message on Yelp to Reliable Locksmith at around 8:30 pm on Sunday evening 11/25/18. They emailed back very quickly and said they could meet me at my house in Prior Lake the next morning at 9:45 am and gave me a quote. He was here on time, very friendly, took all of 10-15 min to complete his work. Key works great, I called around to 4 other places before he got here and they were tied for the lowest price. Got our car key locked in the trunk while arranging stuffs. Luis was able to help us in just minutes when he arrived. Only thing was we were told by the person We talked to that they are able to come in 25 minutes. We waited an hour and had to call back for follow up at the 35 minutes mark. We found the tech guy was stuck in another client which is understandable. Would have been nice if they could inform back the customer if the promised time will not be met. WORST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP OFFS!!!!!!!!!!! These guys are scammers. They tried to charge us $400 for a $80 work. When we refused they told us we will have to pay 'travel charge' $40. When we protested that we were not told, this guy says 'You never asked'. They tried to threaten us that they would just sit there and not leave if we did not pay. When my purse was stolen, my house keys and ID went with it, so the thief could have come right to our house. We called Reliable Locksmith and they were out within the hour, fitting us in between appointments. They were done with 3 main door locks in less than an hour, and were extremely nice. Ely was out to my house in 30 minutes, and then quickly created me a new remote key for our car (I had been told you had to go to a dealership for this).
