When I had my choice of pharmacies, Reliable was always where I went. Unfortunately, since my insurance now limits all my meds to one large chain, I've had no choice by to go there. Today, my chain called to tell me they could not get my meds and didn't know when they'd be in stock in the foreseeable future. They told me to find the meds elsewhere and they would transfer the prescription temporarily. Well, even on this one-shot arrangement, the pharmacy staff went out of their way to make this happen. They had to take special steps and work things out with my current facility. Then, when I couldn't figure out my insurance ID information (I had not needed it for several years) - they tracked that information down, too. To top it all off, they produced a special coupon - and, after all the time the Reliable staff put in on this one prescription, they ended up charging me only $4. Excellent customer service and rapid refills. Never waited longer than 20 minutes for a script. They even have great app that helps you easily fill medications. Availability of medications is never a problem. However, I believe that many people who have posted negative reviews about Reliable Pharmacy are absolutely wrong. I've used them more than 5 years and not once have I had an issue obtaining my legitimately prescribed medication. Great pharmacy! Forget the negative reviews. read more

Reliable? Hardly! I'd say.... anything but!!! A month ago, I believed differently, until I was rudely introduced to their true judgmental attitude & policy of indifference. Recently, after 34 years of pain mgmt, I had to make some healthcare changes, due to restructuring by both UCLA & my insurance company. After 15 years of continuous care, my primary doctor was out much of the year, tending to his wife's cancer & had his associates, within his same office, write my monthly scripts. Additionally, as he prepares for retirement & I plan to continue with UCLA healthcare, we decided & found a private pain mgmt doctor to handle my complicated case, & they're working in concert with each other. In November, after 22 years with CVS, Reliable Pharmacy filled my scripts (from my physician of 15+ years) without a question, letter or even a phone call. Wow! They're impressive...... I thought! Then, came...... December & the truth! I brought in my scripts, from my new private doctor in Sherman Oaks. They were identical in every way, except for the color of the paper, name of the doctor & facility. William, the pharmacist, immediately rejected all of them. Due to insurance? No! He referenced several doctor's names, but refused to even consider the truth, when it was pointed out that every doctor referenced, works at UCLA, with my primary care physician, and substituted for him during his medical leave. What appeared to be 'doctor shopping', was anything but. The December scripts were from my new doctor, & I requested he simply call both doctors, so they can confirm the transition in my treatment. He refused. When asked, why it was acceptable the previous month, when my script history remained the same, he refused to answer. The only thing William said, over & over, was he'd never, ever fill my scripts again! He did not care that the insurance was acceptable, there was a valid reason for the change in doctors & that they were both on board with treatment, nor that everything was legal & valid. And, neither did he explain what needed to be corrected or changed, to meet their guidelines. Rather, his statement that "he'd never, ever fill my scripts again!" really sounds a bit discriminatory, considering his lack of corrective suggestions & his refusal to even contact the prescribers. He was not at all interested in the slightest, of helping me, the customer & I never did get an explanation. There's plenty of pharmacies available, & once January rolls in, I'll return to CVS. My advice to the owners of Reliable Pharmacy is to explain to William that things are not always as they appear to be, and to future patrons, good luck & don't assume insurance & inventory are the only qualifiers. Apparently, William is swayed by having the mere name of UCLA on the script. Amazing! read more

Called them, to confirm they had the drugs I needed in-stock. Drove there. They said 20 minutes to fill it. I said no worries, I'll come back to get it in 30 min to 60 min. Which I did. I arrived an hour later, and they hadn't even started to fill my prescription. They said, "We serve the people who wait here first." Hmmm. Really? Then don't tell me 30 to 60 minutes. My wife and I have a couple of hard to find med's and we have a choice of about 4 or 5 pharmacies within 10 miles from our home that seemed to be a flip of a coin if they will have all med's in stock or not, or even carry all that we need. Reliable is a one stop shop where we get all of our med's now and is worth the 10-15 minute drive. Fred is very fair and the wait time is always under 15 minutes. If they do run out of something they even have a delivery service. The staff is all very friendly. A great pharmacy, goodbye *VS n *ITE-AID! I went in on Monday after getting a prescription from Northridge Hospital and have been going into Reliable for over 15 yrs and they are great to work with and understanding customers situations and have empathy to what customers go through. 2 of my prescriptions were covered by insurance but the dr at the hospital didn't call the 3rd one in to get prior approval for the prescription or it wouldn't have cost me any $ and when I went to go pick the 3 presciptions again 2 were n/c and the 3rd was $80. I asked Bryan if they could help me with the cost because I am on DSI and a fixed income and he said he couldn't make that decision and I had to talk to the pharmacist and would be back on Tuesday AM. I dislike writing bad reviews especially because i didn't get the lady pharmacist's name and i probably should have talked to Fred. As I previously mentioned, I have been using Reliable for over 15 yrs and they have been very happy with their service during those 15 yrs and the employees through the years have been awesome. I went in Tuesday morning, after taking Bryan's suggestion, and asked the girl behind the counter in regards to helping to discount the amount due and she talked to the pharmacist and she said that was the lowest price she could do and I said I talked to Bryan the night before and he suggested that I come back the next day (that morning) to ask and the pharmacists about helping me with the cos said she said,if would have called 1st I could have saved myself a trip and I again mentioned what Bryan said and she was rude and said "I will have a talk to Bryan" and I Bryan didn't do anything wrong and said it wasn't his place to make that call. I did get upset and frustrated with her attitude and she said "don't yell at me and why should she do me a favor" but her decision was already made and she wasn't going to change her mind and to add salt to the wound she was rude to the customer before me and as soon as that customer left she was talking to one of her co-workers in Spanish not knowing that I understand Spanish but I do and it wasn't exactly very professional what she said I was frustrated when I left but I have learned not to take it personal and people like should not be in a customer service job or if so trained to do so, especially when people are coming in there with ailments and don't need to be treated that way or stressed out any more than they already are. If she or for that matter anyone having a bad day should just STAY HOME !!! My experience with these types or people is I am sure I am not the 1st one to run into this with her and probably won't be the last to deal with her attitude but in finishing up this review... Visited this place three times this week. For the amount of employees that they have in this small place, you wonder why the shelves are not filled with product and the girls at registers do not make eye contact or greet their customers with a smile. They are very robotic and the prices for their limited selection is too high. There are other places that will treat their customers better read more

Reliable they never have my medication ready, and when it is they are always missing 2 or 3 medications yes I have to wait or come back for the rest. Also i f I don't have refills they tell me to call my doctor....which they should do it. I am taking my prescriptions to another pharmacy since they don't care. read more

If there was a way to give them no stars i would they are the worst pharmacy ever. my insurance as well as my kids and husbands is all ok and active but they kept on claiming that it wasn't even tho i was on the phone with my insurance stating that we were in deed covered now my daughter and son are here at home in pain really needing there medicine all because they were to lazy to get on the phone with insurance pharmacy after hours that would give them the information that they need. Update from my last very frustrating experience. So this morning after arriving home from USC and having a major orthopedic surgery we opened our prescription bag to find 2 out the 3 prescriptions. I called and spoke to Fred the owner. I began the conversation by saying that I have already had a difficult time working with his front office staff in addition to being privey to the staff including the pharmacy discussing a patient who had just left complaining about her. Not only do I not want to hear about his loud strategies about anyone I certainly don't think it appropriate for them to have been discussing it in public in the first place. Now on to me.i picked up my prescription and made the mistake of not looking at what was inside my bag. When I got ho.r for. The hospital 4.5 days later we open the bag to discover only 2 out of 3 prescriptions were there. I contacted them right away with my insurance on the line as well. Needless to say tjhe conversation went south from the get go. They were defensive and argumentative. What happen to the older days where pharmacist were you local neighbor and authentically cared about it's customers?? You won't get that here. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS pharmacy in any way. read more

They overcharged me twice. The receit was placed in the bag with the medication, I checked it at home finding that .On the next day, I had to come back demanding my money back. Immediately the money was returned, but they were giggling, it was very funny for them that a customer wanted his money, $18 back. Very rude and disrespectful staff. Reliable Pharmacy is definitely my first choice when filling my prescriptions. The employees are very polite (which is a huge deal for me) and helpful. My prescriptions are always filled in a timely manner, i have yet to have any issues with Reliable Pharmacy unlike the several times I have had issues with places like CVS.
