After the recent rain in Palm Springs we discovered a leak in our foam roof that needed fixing. After searching for roofers in the area we found Reliable Roofing. What a blessing. i had called Todd on a Sunday thinking I would just leave a message for him to call on Monday. Well, he called me back that day. I explained what I needed and he asked me to text him my address and he would speak to me the next day. What a wonderful surprise when I received a THANK YOU text, how nice was that. He came to the house Monday morning and surveyed the problem. He explained what was needed and gave us a complete description of the process that would work best in our situation and that his work is fully guaranteed. We were very impressed with him as a genuine person, very sincere and honest!! He's been doing this for 30 years and really knows the business. We were able to schedule the work to be done the very next day. They arrived at 7:30 AM, as scheduled and completed the first phase of the process. His crew of workers were very polite and efficient. They returned the next morning and finished the job plus washed down the whole patio for us We visited with them and they showed us pictures of the completed roof, outstanding. We will not ever have to worry about a leaking roof for at least 10 years, that's the guarantee. This company, the owner Todd, and everyone we met were outstanding. You pay for what you get and we were so glad we found him. He is the REAL DEAL and we are so glad we found him. He also referred us to an contractor to paint our house. Todd called the painter while we were together to see if he was available this week. He called us this afternoon to set up an appointment, wow! Think about it, how many times have you called a contractor and never got a return call, lots and lots! I needed a new roof, so I called Reliable Roofing in Palm Desert, Ca. I got a recording which said they were either out of the office or on another line and would get back to me shortly. This was 9am. 5 1/2hours later, they still had not called me back, so I called letting them know that I had called earlier and was soon going to work. A half hour later I got a call with Todd saying, "my aren't we grumpy today,". After telling him what I needed, he said call him next Thursday as he is taking his family out of town. I asked if we just couldn't make an appt. now for him to come out when he got back? He said no, just call Thursday. This was Friday. Today, Thursday, I called back. My mistake. He asked how far along I had gotten with roofers. I asked what he meant and he asked how many I had spoken to. I said a couple of people earlier in the year. He told me it sounded like I was price shopping and I wouldn't want him because he was the most expensive roofer in the valley. Really?! I want a reputable company that I could depend on doing a good job! I also didn't want men working on the roof that would radiate 150 or hotter degrees. Obviously, it is not this company! Reliable..........NOT! Rude.....yes, beyond belief! Also, I wrote about my conversations on his website, so others wouldn't have to put up with the insulant nonsense I did. A few minutes later, I got a phone call from him saying he was in Palm Springs and was ready to inspect my roof! I don't live in Palm Springs, but at the other end of the valley and he said my number came up in Palm Springs! Strange never did in 20 years,but whatever. I told him I was not interested in his company any longer. I wondered why he had called back, so I looked on his website to see if my review had posted! He took it down, so that the only one that is left is a glowing recommendation was left. Therefore, I am posting it here so more people can read it than just his site. Amazing! read more

During the last little rain we had here in the desert, I noticed a leak in our family room. It appeared it was coming from our solar panels. We called the solar company that installed our solar and they sent out a technician who went onto our roof to check for the leak. He stated it was not leaking from the solar panels and that I should call a roofer. I called numerous roofing companies and never even got a return call. I then called Reliable Roofing after seeing they were rated five stars. Within one hour Todd Young ( the owner of Reliable Roofing) called me. He told me that he was swamped with work because of the rain but he would be at my house in 2 hours. He was right on time. He checked my roof and gave me a very fair bid which I accepted. The very next morning he and his crew were at my house at 7 a.m. While repairing my roof his crew noticed my roof had numerous broken tiles. The exact count was 40. They had to be replaced and the roof repaired where they were removed. I told Todd that the only people that had been on my roof were the solar installers. He concluded that the solar installers broke all the tiles when they installed the solar. He advised me to notify the solar company and to demand that they pay for the damaged tiles and repair work. He took the time to write a letter to the solar company stating he believed they broke the tiles. He later talked to a manager with the solar company. Due to his letter and telephone conversation, I was just notified today that the solar company is going to reimburse me the full amount of the repairs based on the conversation with Todd. I'll guarantee you that without Todd's help I would still be fighting with them. Not only is Todd and his entire crew fantastic people, they do outstanding work. It is very unfortunate that we have people that take advantage of others in the world. Especially senior citizens, but that is what Reliable Roofing does. 1. I thought I had a leak in my roof after recent rains. The corner of my wall in my bathroom looked dark from a possible leak. I called Reliable Roofing and Todd came out and he thought so too. He went up on the roof and said he found where the problem is. I personally did not go on the roof due to my age. He claimed it was in the valley. He also recommended a roof maintenance on the rest of the roof to include resealing the flashings and roof jacks, 5 in all. All of this for a very high price of $7500. I felt I was in need of this repair due to the leak and unfortunately agreed. I should have gotten other bids. I asked him about my homeowners insurance covering it and he said it would not! The work was done. 2. All of the above would not be so bitter to swallow if I really had a roof leak. I did not. After examination further by my son 1 month later showed the dark spot on the wall in the bathroom was a shadow from the window nothing else. I felt very foolish for this revelation, but really upset at Reliable Roofing for scamming me. Plus the valley area that was reported to be the problem was 8ft away from the area in the bathroom that I thought was the leak. Plus the area in the bathroom was 8 feet away AND uphill from the valley that was supposedly the problem. Additionally after this scam, I did call my homeowners insurance to see if they would have covered the repair and they said they would have. I felt Scammed from all of this and the dishonesty of Reliable Roofing. I hope this review can assist others when choosing an honest and ethical roofer. We had a roof leak last spring after a heavy rain which had created some damage to the ceiling inside our home. Come to find out we had an area on our roof with at least 14 to 15 broken tiles that we had no idea about. We had put a tarp up temporarily to get us through to summer and so that everything could dry out. We have been stressing about getting it fixed, the cost and the damage that could happen if we had more rain. We are new to the Coachella Valley area and as you can imagine it's always going to be a daunting task finding an excellent contractor. I recently had polyurethane foam sprayed (over existing shingles) on my roof by Reliable Roofing, and I am thoroughly satisfied with their service. The workmen were not only polite but impressively efficient. There was a minor concern when they applied a metal roof rake (drip edge) at the edge of the gable, and it didn't match my house's color. However, the owner went the extra mile by promptly purchasing some paint so that it would color-match my house, ensuring a nice appearance. Another thing I was initially concerned about was how they would cover the gap between the edge of the roof and the beginning of the metal awning over my carport (see attached photo). I had reservations because I'd seen it done poorly on a neighbor's house. However, Reliable Roofing truly surprised me with their craftsmanship. They transformed what could have been an eyesore into a work of art. It now seamlessly blends in with the rest of the structure. I was also pleased at how quickly they completed the job. Todd was awesome. He replied to my phone call on a Sunday then came by came by on Monday to check out my roof. I had some damage from that really strong wind storm on Saturday night but not so bad that I could see the sky through my roof. He gave be an estimate and explain the situation of my roof n terms a lay person would understand. He was willing to work with my insurance company and after the insurance adjuster looked at my roof on Thursday we were able to get things rolling. By the next Friday, I had an new roof that was up to today's codes. A pretty new white roof that has a cooling feature to it. Rated for up to 130 miles per hour wind and guaranteed for 30 years. Awesome. Todd's crew was awesome and very respectful. They were working in 110 degrees. I felt very comfortable being at work while they were doing the roof replacement. What a blessing to have found Reliable Roofing by TGY. Todd came to our rescue immediately. On 9/26/18 we discovered a hole in the ceiling inside the living room from a rain leak and found Todd on Yelp. His five star reviews caused us to look no further. We set an appointment for,the next day, Todd arrived, checked out what turned out to be a mess of a flat roof which needed replacing. Todd wrote the 30 day contract and the crew was out there on Monday 10/1 preparing for rain so we would have no further leaks inside the house in the damaged area. Before schedule the roof was completed. The inspector signed off on 10/10/18. The roof is perfect The workmanship excellent and the storm that came a couple of nights ago was fierce (inch of rain) BUT, thanx to Todd, we are leak and roof worry free. Last week we needed to have our roof repaired after a heavy rain. We experienced multiple leaks in the roof. We decided to call Reliable Roofing simply based on reading reviews of their service. We could not have been more pleased with that decision. Todd met with us the Thursday to contract the repair and told us exactly what they were going to do. Just as important, he also told us what they were not going to do and answered all our questions. He told us they would probably start the next week. On the weekend Todd called and said they would start work Mon at 7:15. Monday at 7:15 they showed up and commenced work. They completed the work the next day and completely cleaned everything that needed to be cleaned and left. The workers were punctual. extremely polite, knowledgeable about their job, and when they started were efficient in performing that work. What a great find. We called for an estimate on our vacation condo and Todd came out the same day and emailed us photos of the roof condition. We had a rainstorm in the desert two days ago when my roof started leaking over our living room. I waited until today to request service, since we had a short break before the next storm was due in this evening. In less than an hour, Todd from Reliable Roofing was the first to reply to my online requests for service. Since it appeared to be a small job and another storm was on the way, he said that he would send someone over within the hour. Pedro showed up as promised and completed the repair within three hours of my initial request for service. Before starting the work, Pedro took a picture of the cause of the leak. A roof tile had slid down to the next row, exposing the waterproof layer which had totally rotted away exposing the wood underneath. I live in Orange County and have a home in Palm Springs. Reliable put a new roof on about 2 and half years ago. After a brief, but torrential downpour, I later had a leak in the evening dripping into the master bedroom. The next week, I had an appointment with Todd, the owner on Thursday. When I was delayed getting on the road from OC, Todd waited an hour for me to get there. In the meantime, he had assessed the roof, which was still in excellent shape, but had a small area which looked like some wind damage from some palm trees that had pierced the roof. We both went up on the roof so he could show me in detail. Wanting to fix it right away, Carlos was dispatched Saturday morning to take care of the damaged area, and put two coats of surface material to make sure it was once again in fine shape. I want to communicate the excellent experience I had with Todd Young. Right after a recent, huge, and rare rainfall here in the desert I contacted Todd to help assess what we should do with our leaky roof on our home in Palm Springs. Our roof was not done by Todd, but he took time out to give me his advice on two alternatives that were being provided by the original roofer. I really appreciate how quickly he came and did an evaluation because I know he was completely slammed with 50+ calls due to the storm. He was knowledgeable and took the time to throughly assess the situation and answer my MANY questions. He clearly pointed out what should be done to correct the situation. We did not know that tile roofs (although supposedly last a lifetime) need maintenance (every 15 years or so) in order to protect the paper underneath. When we noticed that some tiles on our Palm Desert Sun City home had slipped as well as debris in a valley, we texted pictures to Todd. He immediately saw issues that we were unaware of.
