My husband, Daughter-in-law and granddaughter went to this store yesterday (Sunday 10/11). We had bought the phones via the web for the family. AT&T was supposed to port the 3 new numbers over. Well, of course, they didn't and gave them a hard time. I was in NJ working so as the account holder for Verizon I wasn't there. Joshua spent 2 hrs working and getting everything fixed and working. My husband was amazed and I am grateful because he was NOT the salesman on this and could have just blown them off. We needed a new phone ASAP as it is for my elder father whose phone was no longer holding a charge and with some upcoming medical procedures we did not want him to be without one. So I went online to verizonwireless.com , found the phone we wanted, ordered and and paid for everything online for in store pick up on Thursday at Reliance Wireless aka Victra Wireless an Authorized Verizon Dealer. I had no choice in which store as this was the only local store with the phone in stock. I decided to go during my lunch break for what I assumed would be a quick pick up, which could easily be done in 30 mins. When I arrived at the store, the gentleman went in the back room to retrieve the phone. He came back and entered some information in the computer and told me I owe $250 dollars(approx)...I disputed because I am paying for the phone monthly and I had already paid off his old phone + the activation fee + sales tax online. He looked again...oh the system updated, you owe $51.50..I proceeded to ask why he said that the consumer ALWAYS has to pay sales tax and activation fee IN the store...I asked why would I pay them twice. Meanwhile I confirmed with my emails AND bank account that Verizon had deducted the full amount. He preceded to tell me that I CAN NOT leave the store without paying for these items and I should just call Verizon customer service and cancel my order with them and he will sell me the phone and have me out in 5 mins...Well, 45 mins later and I was holding for Verizon wireless NOT to cancel my order but figure out WHY I was asked to pay twice for sales tax and activation fee. I realized this wasn't going to be satisfied quickly and was on hold as I drove back to work. I spoke with Verizon wireless customer service and conferenced in the gentleman from Reliance Wireless an Authorized Verizon Dealer, within moments the gentleman at Reliance said "you can come in and pick up the phone". I went to pick it up on my way home from work and was in and out of the store in 2 mins.. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS STORE AGAIN....He tried to take advantage of what he assumed was a stupid woman...man was he a fool! How many other verizonwireless customers have been scammed out of extra money by Reliance Wireless. From now on I will wait for 3-5 day delivery should a local Verizon store not have the phone in stock! read more

I walked in and Lauren offered to help us. We sat down and went over how much we would get for trade-ins, how much the bill would be, and also what phones and promotions were currently going on. This was back on December 28th, 2019. So far I have had to return to this store multiple times due to mistakes and flat out lies that she told us when we were signing up. 1. She tried to install a glass screen protector that the box says iPhone XR/11 on it on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. When I pointed out that it doesn't even cover the entire screen she insisted it was the correct one. I told her I didn't want it and I went immediately to Best Buy afterwards and purchased the glass screen protector for the iPhone pro Max and it fit perfectly. 2. Our phones were unable to make calls on the first day. We pointed this out to her while we were at the store she said that it is normal, and that it will fix itself in about n hour. Hours later I went on Verizon support, and they told me that porting of the numbers was not completed properly. they shouldn't have left us leave the store without being able to even make a phone call. I had to go back the next and go over this and to get it resolved, I had to explain to her what the problem was. 3. I noticed from looking at the MyVerizon app that my first bill was a lot higher than expected. I looked into it and noticed that she set up all 4 lines on my account with the wrong plan. We agreed upon the 45 dollar one, she set it for the 55 dollar plan. So we went back again to get this situated. She insisted that the plan was already set to the 45 dollar one because for 4 lines because I was being charged 220 dollars. I had to point out to her that 55 times 4 equals 220. Which shows that she selected the wrong one. She then went and changed it from the 55 dollar plan to the one we originally agreed upon. 4. When I went to trade in my 4 phones she verbally told us how much we would be getting for each phone 2 separate times. This number totaled out to be over 800 dollars. Just the 1 phone alone she said over 500 dollars (Samsung S10). She told me this will be paid out in the form of credits. She said in about a month I should see them on my Verizon account. After purchasing 2 screen protectors (for the other iPhones on my account) she had me sign something like when you pay with a credit card. I paid cash for both those screen protectors. I should have realized something was wrong but didn't think anything of it at the time. A long page prints out and I put it in the bag. I ask her again when I can expect the credits so I can pay back tmobile for my devices and she confirms in about a month on verizon Account. It has now been a month and I reach out to Verizon and They explain to me that the credits were spent on the date I setup the account. I asked them what it was spent on and one time they said taxes, when I pointed out that doesn't add up, they said a deposit, when I explained that number doesn't add up, they said it must have been credited to my account. When we both looked at my bill together they agreed that also doesn't add up. I asked them how many credits it shows I am supposed to get. They said 495 dollars. That number is almost half of what she told us 2 separate times on the date we signed up. If you process a trade in today for the same devices on Verizon's website it will even be a higher number than that. Take into consideration the value of a phone is always getting lower with time and you will see how messed up this situation is. At this point Verizon is claiming they can't do anything about it because this isn't even a "real" Verizon store. They are 3rd party. And apparently the receipt that printed when I signed FOR THE SCREEN PROTECTORS does have 495 dollars listed for the device credits. Verizon still cannot give me a straight answer as to where the money went though, and they refuse to refund it because the transaction wasn't done at a Verizon store. My advice to you, avoid Verizon and this store in particular like the plague. A business built on lies. read more
