Making everyone wait outside when there is plenty of room to stand and wait in a line inside the store is completely ridiculous. The service used to be top notch as far as coverage but now they've dropped the ball. I've had way too many issues with them ever since moving to the Lehigh Valley. My friends have also had the same issues in other cities and we're all just tired of the high prices and degrading service. I had enough and switched to a new carrier yesterday and I can tell you the bloatware they dump in the phones is a LOT.... I would recommend you all to shop around and compare plans, not just from the main carriers but also check out new carriers like Mintmobile. In Europe my friends all laugh at us because they're paying $20-$30 for service while we all get gouged in the US from these big carriers. read more

I went to Verizon Wireless in Bethlehem last night to get a new cell phone. I have been in customer service for many years. I worked for Verizon Land Lines (not Wireless) in Sales/Service for over 26 years. The manager, James was horribly rude. When I told him I had a discount because I worked for Verizon he kept arguing with me and insisting I didn't no matter how I tried to explain it to him. When I told him my nephew worked for Apple and he'd get me a discount from them he said maybe I should buy the phone from Apple! Unbelievabl!!! Absolute horrible customer service-a great way to lose customers!! Later another employee Julio helped me. He was wonderful!! Complete opposite of James. Julio saw that I had a discount of 10 percent because of my former Verizon employment. Julio is a great person who answered all my questions and gave great explanation. He does a wonderful job! Couldn't be nicer-the way customers should be treated. I'd give Julio 10 stars!! If you have any questions contact me. I almost walked out after my extremely negative experience with James. Verizon- Poor customer service- Carlos our sales person lied and tacked on additional fees we didn't need. He said Phone with package was free, to later find out the phone was not actually free. Said we qualified for a $200 gift card which we never received, and found out later the plan we had didn't qualify for the card. He lied again and said he never said that, even though his co works said he did tell us about the gift card. Phone also looses its charge faster than my iphone 3. Thought i was getting an upgrade to find out very quickly that it would become an expensive brick, had to go back to my old phone for service as the software update io16 fried the phone. My partner and I both went through reasonably painless upgrade processes for our phones over the past few weeks. They rarely have a long wait, and my only real complaint was the super aggressive sales pitches I got for a bunch of overpriced accessories I definitely didn't need, and the fact that the sales associate tried to talk me out of the phone I was certain I wanted (fascinatingly, into a lower-priced option). But I definitely don't dread coming here, as I have to other phone stores or as I do calling Verizon customer service. That's worth a four-star rating. read more

The Verizon Wireless Stores are the worst in customer service, they don't help anyone, they lie on the phone from the Corporate Store and they never issue refunds back to a customer's credit card. I hate this company and can't wait to return all my phones and go elsewhere for better and more friendly service. This company is terrible and you should look elsehwere. The store is environment is nice, but that doesn't make up for a sales staff that is either uninformed or convincingly deceptive. I went in to discuss options regarding my family plan, which I had had for 5 years at that point. My 2-year contract was expiring, and I had expressed an interest to the staff members in keeping my options open rather than getting locked in to another contract. I also wanted to reduce my bill a little bit. The staff seemed to have no problem addressing my concerns. I walked out of the store content... ...which lasted only until I saw my bill. Not only had it increased, but it was evident that I had been placed into a new 2 - year contract. I went to the store and complained, but was informed that there was nothing they could do to remedy the situation. The only way out of the contract was to pay hundreds of dollars in cancellation fees. Needless to say, I am not pleased with the service I received from this location. read more

As soon as I upgraded to a new phone..... (first time in 6 Years) they asked me if I wanted to save on an upgrade. What the?

I bought a new phone today. Paid $300 for it. Turns out it is very difficult to use. The only thing that came in the box was a usb cord. So I plugged it into my computer and it tells me "charging slowly for faster use the charger that came with the phone". There was no charger with the phone. So I looked up the phone number for the store where I purchased it and the automated system won't let me get through to an actual human. It just keeps playing my plan information. This is stupid. Why do they even have a phone number if it won't let you talk to anyone? read more

My then-current phone was giving signs that it was not going to last much longer, so I originally went to a different Verizon store and got mediocre service. Then I came over to the Airport Road location and had a WONDERFUL experience. Raul patiently took the time to listen to my situation and recommend a brand of phone the previous Verizon associate didn't even inform me about. It turned out that particular phone was a great fit for my needs and I bought it that afternoon. Raul was also able to review my current Verizon data plan and recommend a way to get substantially more data - at little additional cost. It didn't take long before I could walk out with a nice Pixel 2 XL phone and get it set up and working soon after. I would highly recommend this business. Be sure to ask for Raul. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT GO WITH VERIZON! I don't have much Good to say about verizon. They're expensive (almost twice as much as at&t and at least at&t has service and customer service), they're aggressive in trying to sell you anything, they won't help you if your battery explodes because there is "physical damage" to the phone. They won't work with you. I discontinued my line with Verizon and have been on hold with them for over a half an hour trying to get ahold of someone to pay the bill. I'm going to have to drive to a physical store where I'm not going to have an account anymore. Guess verizon just wants to screw my life up? I'm lost. Do you guys want my money or not???? Why do you make it so damn difficult to get ahold of someone if you need help? Get your shit together, verizon. I switched back to at&t because of how terrible you guys truly are. IDC about your "rewards" you can't really use.. IDC if you "have the best coverage, you really don't.. I never even had service IN MY HOUSE. I went to this store near the holiday season to upgrade my phone and was quickly approached by one of the staff members. To be fair, he wasn't overbearing and let my boyfriend and I browse the different phones. We asked him a few questions and he steered us in the direction of switching to a monthly payment plan so that I could upgrade my device and not pay an up front charge or increase my monthly bill -which I guess is the trend nowadys... He presented us with a few numbers and figures on a notepad and my boyfriend and I ran through my options. Unfortunately, the numbers he scratched on paper turned out to be entirely deceptive. I am a minimalist and quite frugal so flashy new devices don't really tickle my fancy, but... The sales rep somehow convinced both my boyfriend and me that purchasing an Ipad Mini along with my phone would lead to a decrease in my overall monthly bill -essentially explaining that Verizon's "changed planned" had allowed for this, and that, I would just need pay a discounted price up front for the ipad and a small monthly charge (which, if added into the bill, would still be less than what I was currently paying). In going through with the information that HE provided and WE trusted (and also appeared sound by the prices and numbers displayed in the store) I went with this suggestion. I even recall him saying, after my boyfriend tried to run through the bill and numbers again, "trust me, I've worked it out and there isn't a better deal." All of it seemed great, and when I paid my first bill I felt pretty good about the transaction. However, today I received a text from Verizon indicating that my new monthly bill was available and it was roughly $80.00 more than my previous one. Not only had they slapped an "activation fee" onto the iPad, which was never mentioned to my boyfriend or me, the sales rep also failed to mention that my phone line would go up more than he originally wrote out AND because Verizon no longer has the option of a 6GB plan, so my family and I are constantly stuck paying for data that we will probably never use....and will, apparently just keep rolling over UNUSED. Oh yeah, and I have an iPad Mini that is going to get very little use, because, I really didn't care for it in the first place.... This guy I dealt with was exactly like a sleazy used car salesmen. I really don't understand how anyone could feel satisfied by deceiving customers in this way. Best Verizon to go to in the Lehigh valley! They take you seriously and listen to what you have to say. They offer you water if your waiting. They have great problem solving skills and they don't pressure you into buying anything. Very very good store, I only go to this store whenever i have a problem or any questions about Verizon or my phone. read more

I have been a loyal customer with Verizon Wireless for close to 30 years going back to the "Bag Phone" Before going into the store tonight I was on the phone with customer service with questions about upgrading my phone to the IPhone 7plus. The woman I spoke to on the phone from the call center was very nice. I was offered $300 as trade in value on my 5s phone. She was very helpful and had no issue with me completing my upgrade in the store since I wanted to look at the phone in person. I asked if the offer of $300 would be honored in the Airport Rd. location as well, she replied yes. When we walked into this location we were greeted with "What can we do for you Bud"? not very professional. The sales man was very nice other then his greeting, When the sales man did his thing on Computer he was only offering me $75 not $300. I asked well what if I called the call center so they could confirm. I then called customer service while standing in the store. In this time the store closed. There was other customers in the store other then us. After about 15 minutes after they locked the front doors with us in the store, the Solutions Manager James came over to us and asked "What's the Plan?" The Customer Service Agent could hear this conversation I am having with the Manager James. The Customer Service Agent said she would call the location I was in and speak to this manager directly. I told the Manager this and he said "the phones have been changed over and that he will not talk to her" I could not believe how ignorant and unprofessional James was towards us. As I was walking out the door while still on the phone with Customer Service Agent Apologizing to me I told James that I was driving to a different carrier. James never apologized he just turned his back and walked away. I am now a new customer to AT&T. read more
