From one moment I spoke to them on the phone to the moment that James (employee of RPM) came to my home I was amazed on how well this company is running, James took extra time to throughly go through my home and check out the Knicks and crannies making sure he got everything. He went above and beyond with explaining what he was using, and how I can prevent future infestation in my home. This employee rang and knocked, and when I asked if he saw the "No Soliciting" sign next to the door bell, he replied that he did see it and doesn't care, that "he knows what he is allowed to do". We've seen increase of bugs immediately and not because that's "normal" but because they won't service our home. I highly doubt they come even the first time, as when I have been schedule and am home they do not come. We've asked that come out and re-service, then received a text message that the technician couldn't service because we're in a "gated community" and they were unable to access the property which is a complete lie, we don't live in a gated community and there was no reason they could not service our home as I was physically there. You'll receive a text that they're 15 min to an hour away and they don't show up. They're about $20 cheaper each quarter and it is not worth the price!!! We'll be switching back to Lynx as soon as we can get out of this contract. read more

push door-to-door salesman was very misleading about contract pricing, citing a discount price without making it clear that the price will be double for the remaining treatments in the subscription package. When calling to cancel subscription package the (very courteous) call center guy tells me there is a cancellation fee for the subscription which costs *the same price as a treatment*. Reliant than sent me a bill for 2 months for "early termination ". I have requested twice to be provided the documents I signed agreeing to that any type of early termination fee , and if provided I would pay. You can NOT rely on Reliant Peat Control. I finally gave in to a door knocker and it ended up being a bad decision. The salesman was super high pressure but promised a smooth experience and said he'd get me "the very best deal" for everything at $40 a month. I decided to give it a shot... big mistake. He told me a technician would come by the next day at 4 p.m. to treat both the inside and outside. I told him that time worked perfectly. Well, 4 p.m. came and went. Then 5 p.m. Still no one. No call, no text, nothing. My wife had to leave for a grocery pickup around 5:55, and, of course, the guy shows up at 6:05 without any warning. He sprays the outside and leaves by 6:20. No courtesy call, no warning, just showed up late, completed half the job, and bounced. I talked to the Reliant and explained what happened. They apologized and said they'd come back to do the inside, but for over a week later. I asked if they had anything sooner and was told I could call back every day to check for cancellations. I'm sorry, but I shouldn't have to chase them down to fix a mistake they made. To top it all off, two days after the spray, my front porch was full of new wasps. So clearly, it didn't do much. At that point, I was done. I paid the early termination fee ($120) and the first service fee ($80). I did sign the contract, so that's on me, but the way the rep pressured me into signing on the spot felt shady. It was a hard sell with zero follow-through and unhelpful support. I wouldn't recommend Reliant Pest Control to anyone. Door knockers don't give you the time or space to properly research, and this ended up being a frustrating and disappointing experience. Called for service. Asked for one hour notice. My issue was possibility of rats or mice in attic. Never heard from the company that day. Weeks later received a bill. They claimed they arrived and nobody was home, they walked the perimeter of the home and found no issues with rodents. I called and informed them I have a nest camera and nobody showed up all day. My camera can see the front door, driveway, and street. I had nothing. My camera records 24/7. Don't use this company. No services rendered and they still bill. read more

Someone came to our door, ignoring the no soliciting sign. Regardless, we needed help and signed a contract. They have come out 3 times and we have plenty of ants, spiders and other insects. We finally gave in to someone knocking on our door for pest control. Of course we were told that if we were experiencing any type of bug to give them a call and they would return. The last time someone came out, there were 2 people to come "provide pest services" and they were here a total of 5 mins. Most of the 5 mins, the female technician proceeded to tell my husband about her 5 kids and 10 dogs, instead of checking to make sure her job was done. Well it's been about 2 weeks, and I've found 3 wasps nests in my backyard. I have 1 photo, I failed to take a photo of the 2 other nests I found while my children were out swimming in the pool. We had 3 mosquito fogging treatments in 8 weeks at our home in Dripping Springs Texas. There was zero impact on the very bad breeding population and it even got worse within that period. So bad that I needed to hire another company. After the first treatment with the new company there were almost no mosquitoes within 24 hours. The product and service is very obviously inferior to other mosquito treatments available. I cannot recommend them for mosquitoes. read more

Reliant has proven themselves to have very poor communication and customer service. I am a realtor and have used them before. Today, while travelling out of state, Reliant promised a service time between 9-11am with a 45 min call ahead, for a rodent inspection in Spicewood. The listing agent had to drive 40 minutes to get to the property to open the door and give the inspector access to the attic. The inspector was MIA until 12:30pm. He then said he went to the property and did not call a single person. When I spoke to the inspector he said he was in Steiner ranch but could be back to Spicewood at 2:30pm. At 2:35pm I called the inspector. No answer. I called Tristan at the call center with Reliant who I had now spoken to 6 times in the last 2 days, and he put me on hold for 12 minutes. He then said that they would have to re-schedule for tomorrow as they could not find their inspector. When I ask to speak to a manager Tristan said they were all in a meeting. I ask that a manager call me back, they never did. They have now wasted 3 people's entire Tuesday trying to schedule a rodent inspection, with no apology, and no follow through. read more

I asked 2 simple questions 1. are you connected with DR Horton (builder) 2. may I cancelled service any time without a penalty Both answers were yes after receiving services on Memorial Day. I called Reliant Pest to clarify spoke with supervisor and was told that there was nothing they could do regarding cancellation fee of $150.00. I fell for the pitch and wanted to support them by using both their mosquito service and exterior pest service. Their mosquito service was completely useless, almost like it didn't have any effect at all. I called today to cancel the services and they said it would be $254 to cancel because I had signed a two year contract. I would not recommend. Reliant charged me for a yearly ant prevention called "Top Choice." I would call saying I saw ants and needed service, but their people would come without the product. One day recently I was told they do not carry top choice and have never carried that product- that they use a lesser product. They also explained that their technicians are not certified to use Top Choice or the second product. Reliant Pest control had no problems when it came to billing me and taking my payments, but they did not provide the service that they charged for. They go through technicians and I can only guess that if they treat their employees like they do their customers, it would explain the poor service and the turn around of employees. read more

They were good for a while. Last service the tech walked around the property for maybe 2 minutes then left. Didn't address the ant hills, the wasp nest, and did not spray. Sent multiple emails concerning this and was eventually told it was taken care of. Received an email telling me they were going to send me to collections. During the summer, a college student came knocking on the door and I signed up to the service. So far I have been happy. With the first service, the cockroaches didn't disappear so I called them and they came back (for free) after I sent them picture of the cockroach. They said different cockroach requires different treatments. They have been coming regularly and it has been effective. I had horrible experience with white knights pest control, but I have been happy with Reliant. read more

Sent a request for service to reliant on their portal and in person. We had several ain't mounds in our yard as well as wasp nests in the backyard and patio. They came out and I realized after they left that they didn't take care of the wasps and a couple weeks later still have major ant problem. Not worth it. In trying to cancel our account we were met with requirements to show proof that we are moving. We just received notification that we can't renew our lease because the owners are selling the house. We had a 1 year contract and are in year 2 of service, so we are well beyond any extra fees they think they can charge us. A pest control company requiring proof of us moving when we are not under contract is insane. I also notified them over 30 days from our next service, but they were still trying to trick us into a January service by saying we have to notify 30 days out. Our last service was 11/30. I emailed to cancel on 12/22, therefore well before the next service that would be at the end on January. In order to "verify request to cancel" they now need to call me. I am not interested in a sales call. This is one way to get us to never use your company again. We no longer need service. It shouldn't be this difficult to cancel. After calling, they again tried to say we aren't within 30 days because they noted my email on 12/27, not 12/22 when it was sent. The woman said the account would be canceled but hung up on me in the middle of asking for email confirmation. These people are not honest and I could never recommend them to anyone. The contract also doesn't say you need to give 30 days notice, but regardless, we were over 30 days in giving notice. This is horrible customer service and I'm struggling to understand how they think it's appropriate. read more

This company taught me to not trust any words when someone is trying to sell you something, unless it's written in contract. Before I signed the contract, I specifically asked the flexibility of rescheduling because we are usually away during holiday seasons and was told I should be able to push the services back as I wish. However, when I call to skip the service, I was told it's not in the agreement and therefore I can either pay the early termination fee + the fee for the service that's not even conducted, or stick to the schedule. They even mentioned the re-service they did, like I'm trying to take advantage of them - I'd love to show photos of cockroaches, scorpions and spiders in the house after their previous service if they need proof. Not going to stay with them after the contract period, and you should be careful too. read more

He was able to provide a great discount upfront on their service, and I appreciated his ability to explain and show exactly what their service included. 3 days later we had a visit from technician Alexis who was AWESOME! She was super punctal and communicative, and once she was here working it was much of the same...super friendly, great communication regarding what she'd done, what she noticed around the property, etc. She's been a tech for 8 years and really knows her stuff! We also tried to get in contact with them to request extra attention, with no success. When we decided to cancel their service, still had to pay a early cancellation fee of $100. I'm not one to write reviews, but sometimes a service is so poor that others should be made aware. Seeing other reviews on Reliant before writing this, it was apparent that the many poor reviews made me wish I had initially been more aware. Like many companies, they are your best friend until you actually have an issue that needs their attention. Not only were their technicians poorly trained, but there is a revolving door of people, making their customer communication very poor. If that weren't enough, there is an extra charge for items that actually need attention despite having a warranty, work scopes for proposed work are not provided, and the cost is like a moving target, increasing with each new technician involved. Unfortunately, this poor customer service starts with their office manager, Danielle, who is totally uninterested in providing customer support unless it meets her particular needs. Warranty coverage is like insurance, a good program until you actually need it. I would say "be careful", but it really is better to simply look elsewhere if you need a pest management company that actually practices customer service. read more

Reliant was able to squeeze me in on short notice, as we have guests arriving for Christmas and the last thing I needed was to have ants crawling around. Their Tech arrived and sprayed outside and dropped baited traps. He took his time to explain each process and the expected results. I am so upset with the service we received from Reliant Pest Management. I started to see more spiders, tarantulas, scorpions, and silverfish then we ever had before with the previous company we had. I called to cancel the service because I was so upset with the quality and I was charged a cancellation fee. When I called back to say that their fee was unacceptable because their product did not do what it said it would do. I was told that a manager would reach out to rectify the situation but their is nothing they can do except refund my money for the cancellation fee. I was told that I should have called to have them come out to spray again. If their product didn't work the first time, how is it going to work by coming out and spraying again?
