I wish I'd gone in sooner. I was hunching to nurse (baby is 20 lbs now!) and my back, neck, and shoulders were nearly numb from being so tight. Dominique is a miracle worker. She found knots in my spine and ribcage that I had no clue existed. She gave me the perfect amount of pressure - not so much that I was writhing, but enough that you could almost feel the frozen tissues starting to breathe again. Deanna listens to my needs, addresses each area of concern, and executes to a T. None of that just lay on the table and get what you get nonsense. I've struggled with chronic low back pain after a MVA as well as "office syndrome"-muscle strain and poor posture from repetitive desk work, and Deanna has done an amazing job releasing that muscle tension through massage, trigger point therapy, cupping, hot stone and other modalities. Somehow she finds areas I wasn't even aware were tight, or carried tension/pain yet continues to amaze me. Not only is Deanna gifted with touch, but is also very knowledgeable in her craft. Deanna is an experienced massage therapist (7years) and really has a feel for the knots that have been torturing me and a talent for working them out. I contacted Diane and she was extremely accommodating and flexible with her time. As other reviewers have noted, her studio is in the basement of her house and has a very warm, welcoming vibe. It is also very quiet and the privacy factor allowed me to relax much faster than in a busy spa. The massage felt like a blend of many techniques. The intensity of the pressure fluctuated to match the needs of different areas of my body and she performed stretches on my legs, which would have been worth the money alone. It's a cliché, but I feel like a new man after leaving there. She offered me some helpful feedback after the massage and suggested some exercises and stretches to incorporate into my daily life.
