REM Sleep Solutions (named after the most essential Rem sleep cycle for the healthiest, quality sleeping) does much of its sales through demos at Home Shows all across the country, including Hawaii. Home Shows are a great way to see, touch, and test their beds. This was how we were first introduced in 2011. We bought two at that time. This Placentia location is a warehouse and a showroom. You will need to make an appointment with them before dropping by. This particular location only has stair access due to its warehouse function. So be aware this is not at all handicap friendly. But Randy Maddix, the owner, is very hands-on. You will most likely deal with him directly. He had a great answer when I asked about access to the showroom for customers with disabilities. He will personally go out to the customer in the comfort of their home instead. I knew they were special. Our first purchase was two XL twins with remote controlled adjustable frames with a three speed massage feature and timer. They were, and still are, very impressive. But after the first few months, I decided I needed to swap out my first mattress for a different firmness of mattress. They did, no charge. The rep at that time assured us they would have continued to do so until I was happy. Three years later, we purchased a queen for my son. The frames are extremely sturdy and still function perfectly. They, too, are covered under a great warranty. But there is another good reason why my husband and I are repeat customers today. They are not only wonderful to sleep on, they are covered by a lifetime warranty. And for those of us with needs that have changed, or whose families have grown and expanded, this is one of the best investments we could have made. Repeat customers are offered deep discounts. For these reasons, this business has thrived in spite of the Covid pandemic and other serious economic downturns when other bigger, better-known bed makers went under. Martinique is a fairly firm but not the firmest of their mattress line. My adult son's queen (bought in 2014) is the Martinique which he loves because he is a tummy sleeper. Now that he is married, he is ready to buy a king. The twin sized Paradise, the one we purchased in 2011, is slightly softer. We have our twins on adjustable frames, shoved together to emulate a king but still independent of each other. They also do a split-head king. For people who sleep hot, they also have mattresses and pillows for a cooling sleep. You can put any of their mattresses on a regular bed frame, but why? The real treat is having an adjustable frame that is remote-controlled. Ours included a variable massage feature that buzzes you to sleep, but they also have even higher tech frames. Their top-of-the-line frames have Bluetooth and USB charging ports. Yep, you can plug into your bed and charge your phone while messing with mattress positioning to your heart's desire. What better way to drive your partner nuts? Randy had more good news. Taxwise, there are advantages to buying the frame through REM. The adjustable frames are certified as medical devices. Purchasing the brand of frame they offer can be written off on your taxes as a medical device expense. This is truly a quality, family-run business, highly responsive, and run with integrity and pride. They keep their promises. They have been around for a very long time. Before I post this review... I want to be clear that I had zero intentions of replacing our Tempur-Pedic bed. Our polite conversation with Randy and the REM team was so care-free and pleasant, I felt at ease to settle my curiosity. There were no obligations to simply give it a test run. However I do admit that it was hard to resist the floor models' comfort. There was still no pressure. If I can appreciate one thing, I give full respect for letting me reach my own conclusions... No harm, no foul... In return, I gave it 3-4 months to form my review. No exaggeration, my first night sleep after the set-up was so peaceful. I didn't realize the true missing factor in my comfort was the cool temperature in the mattress. It was certainly a pleasant surprise and a game changer. Now that our mattress matches the climate here in Hawaii, I rest longer and healthier. That fact alone is out of bounds! For the value in price, it was by far the best money spent! I only wish I had found REM before I moved to Hawaii, I would have saved so much more. I knew I had to get an adjustable bed as we are aging and I didn't want to be doing this when I couldn't move. My research led me to Malouf which was one of the few that checked all the boxes but did not ship or service Hawaii. Malouf is one of the few manufacturers that make SPLIT QUEEN adjustable beds which we needed in order for it to fit our solid wood storage headboard and matching nightstand unit that is impossible to replace and fit in our tiny Hawaii master bedroom. I was happy I found REM at a wholesale show and was very happy to find that REM solutions sells Malouf! Randy and team have been wonderful! Randy worked with me in my situation and got me everything I wanted, needed, and more! We had a mixup in the delivery; and Randy and team fixed it immediately! Hubby's arthritic knee has been giving him problems. Sleeping with his leg straight would wake him in the night in immense pain! After several nights now, the knee is better and at least he can sleep through the night thanks to the REM Sleep Solutions - Paradise Mattress and Malouf Split Queen. ps. This is second REM review is very overdue. Randy and all of REM Sleep Solutions team have always been so good to me and their products have proven to be incredible a second time. It was time for something bigger and I went back to REM for my first King-sized mattress and WOW! It was impressive to see how the new technologies and materials have improved so much from something that was already great. The edge crush-prevention, the lights on the frame, bluetooth ready, the built in chargers... they have really thought of all potential needs! My favorite part of the purchase was something that I added to my order on a whim... The REM pillows. It has been many months since my purchase and the scented pillows are as comfortable as the day I got them and the scent is still there (not overpowering). I had a similar experience that some of the other 1 star reviews had. Once Randy gets your check, forget about any service or follow up. Constant delays, empty promises, and just straight up lies is what we had to deal with. Hard to believe this company is still in business- but they are very good at sucking you in and getting you to sign the contract. Forget about any service after the drop- they will delay and delay and delay until you get so frustrated you just give up. The motor on my bed had a defective cord. I couldn't even get something as simple as a cord replaced. Then a couple of months later the motor died. so now I have a 2500 bed that does not work. to top it all off I saw the same bed at Costco for about half the cost. read more

I bought my fully adjustable Split Cal King from Randy at a home show, he was very helpful in helping us pick out our bed and he threw in some very nice pillows and sheets. Randy told us our bed would be delivered within 7 to 10 days and that was right on the money. His delivery people were polite and friendly and Randy called after and asked how everything went. About 2 weeks later Randy called to asked how we liked the new bed and I said my wife's side of the bed was a little firm for her and he said he could send out the softer side like mine within 7 days and it came in 3 days. He also helped me select a beautiful headboard/frame from his manufacturer that also supplies REM with the magnificent sheets sets that we were given with the purchase of our bed. R.E.M. is by far the best personal touch furniture places I've ever encountered. We attended a Riverside Showroom were R.E.M. was showcasing their beds. My husband and I were not looking for a bed but had talked about buying one down the line at some point. We saw Rick, salesman covering during the time of our visit. It was nice because unlike other salesmen he not once pressured us into buying anything, just test the bed it sells itself. Unlike many sales claims I had little hope of that but Mr feet did need a break. He wasn't kidding! We laid down and literally we couldn't believe the level of comfort. We thought maybe we were just tired and getting off our feet was all we needed. Nope nope nope! It was the bed for us. We of course had to buy the bed. Rick helped us fill out the papers to just put a hold down. We were soon in contact with the owner, Richard. Richard is by far the nicest guy you will ever meet. I wish there was more like him. He's a man of his word, integrity and character. Questions were answered within a timely manner. And nothing was to great for his customers. He hooked us up with sheets, pillows and a head board for our new amazing bed. Arrangements were made, and we were soon to be proud parents of this amazing bed. It finally arrived, a few days later than we expected. The delivery team gave a white glove service. Mind you, we purchased items from Lazyboy and paid for the "white glove" and this delivery team superseded Lazyboy. They set up our bed, made sure everything was working and that we were happy. Our first night was by far the greatest sleep we had had in a long time. Still to this day, I couldn't have been more happier with this purchase. If anyone says negative comments about this company or man, don't believe them. Richard prides himself in customer service and making sure his customers are happy. Thank you so much for the pillow! I got this pillow about two weeks ago, and it has officially replaced my Purple pillow. I have to say, I am absolutely in love with my new pillow from REM Sleep solutions! From the moment I laid my head down on it for the first time, I knew it was going to be a game changer for my sleep. The softness is just perfect - it feels like I'm being hugged by a cloud every night. But what really sets this pillow apart is the level of support it provides. REM Sleep Solutions mattress company gave us a great experience! We bought our Wellesville Mattress, pillows and sheets from REM and could not be happier. The pillows are the best and remind us of when we stayed at a fancy hotel in Chicago, they're soft yet sturdy and have held up firm. The sheets too, when we crawl into bed our sheets are so soft and comfortable. Most other bed company's sheets are cheap and lose their consistency after you wash them, with REM's pillow cases and sheets they feel great even after dozens of times washing them! We have been a fan of REM Sleep Solutions beds for 12 Years after our friends recommended this bed. I chose the softer mattress and my husband chose the firmer in our adjustable California King size bed. A couple of weeks ago, I had major abdominal surgery. Rather than go to a nursing home leaving the hospital, I was able to come home due to our REM Sleep Solutions bed. I could easily get in and out of bed. Much like the review I just read, we love our bed but the lack of responsiveness and many many promises left unkept, we have to give Randy and REM 3 stars unless we see this last ditch effort successful. The bed would have been 5 stars but after spending over $5,000 and being promised that it included some great pillows, we still don't have the pillows. No less than 4 times we were assured by Randy that it was just an oversight and he would not only have the pillows he promised delivered, but he would get us 2 more. Because of the situation, instead of going out and buying some new pillows, we have waited a year and been dealing with some old uncomfortable pillows. I am so pleased to say that ever since receiving our Martinique mattress my husband wakes feeling revived and refreshed. He's a union carpenter and has struggled with back pain for many years. This mattress has, no doubt, helped alleviate the aches and pains presented after a long days work. I will say that the other reviews don't lie... delivery did take longer than expected, but the sound sleep we both experience now makes the wait well worth it. We bought our bed at a home show in 2017. It is a spilt XL Twin. We had never made a purchase like this at a home show, and were hesitant. We went home and thought about it and then went back the following day and purchased the bed with pillows, and sheets. We LOVE our bed and are so pleased with our purchase. I read in bed almost every night and it is just wonderful to have the top end and lower end of bed raise to where I want it. This bed is still going strong after 4 years of daily and nightly use. We purchased a REM sleep solutions Martinique 9 years ago. At the time of purchase we were told we had a lifetime warranty. Our adjustable base stopped working due to a failure of the control module. After reviewing the lifetime warranty information, we understood that after the third year, REM would replace the defective part and we would be responsible for installing it. We contacted REM to order the part and they refused to honor the warranty. They told us we would have to pay for the replacement part, even though our warranty card clearly states that they will replace defective parts. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BED EXPECTING A LIFETIME WARRANTY. IT IS USELESS - if a part fails, they will try to sell you a new part instead of replacing as stated in the warranty. read more

An uncomfortable situation turned fabulous! After a gap in communication with REM for the inquiry re: the delivery of our bed, and lack of response from our sales representative not returning our multiple phone calls made, only to have the answering service continue to answer. We even emailed to have our order cancelled. So Randy called and advised us that the delivery was scheduled between 12-3. Fabricio knocked and rang the doorbell anxiously waiting for me to answer the door. I was a sourpuss at 1st, but within seconds, it all turned around. Fabricio and Carolina introduced themselves. Words cannot express how grateful I am to Randy and Eddie for helping my 84 year old mother and 81 year old father in their time of need. Now my mother can sleep in a real bed and no longer has to sleep in her recliner as she recovers from pneumonia! More companies should follow REM bed's exemplary example of customer service! When I discovered that my mother, recently recovering from pneumonia, had been sleeping in her recliner for the past week after her hospital discharge, I immediately contacted my siblings and we pitched in to purchase her a REM bed. Having owned a REM bed for the last two years, I was certain that both of my parents would love it as much as my husband and I do. Upon contacting REM, the owner, Randy Maddix, actually picked up the phone. Impressive! Randy offered to send both the Paradise (medium firm) and the Martinique (medium soft) models to my parents so they could try both and make an informed decision as to which model each of them preferred. Randy stepped up and expedited the delivery due to my mother's health situation. Awesome customer service! Eddie Karban was the delivery person. He did an excellent job going above and beyond to deliver the bed in a timely manner! He set up the beds very efficiently and quickly, explaining how the bed and the remote controls worked to my parents. When Eddie left, my parents felt confident they knew everything they needed to know about the bed. He and my father got along really well, too. This is amazing because my father is really wary about letting strangers into his home. Well done, Eddie! After the REM bed is delivered, my father shared, "This bed is very comfortable. I woke up after the first night sleeping on it and my back didn't hurt! I love this bed!" He is very adverse to change, so this is amazing! Unfortunately, my mother felt that her side of the bed was too soft. My mother tried the firmer side and really liked it! Once again, I called Randy and let him know that my mother preferred the same model as my father. Randy didn't hesitate and offered immediately to replace my mother's side with the new model that she preferred. RESULTS: My parents love their new REM bed! My mother likes the zero gravity position with her head raised more and my father likes the snore position. WARNING! BUYER BEWARE. I purchased my bed set from a home show in Hawaii. Bed included 2 sheet sets, mattress protection, and a chilli system. Total cost $7200.00. Invoice states: Allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. After waiting 3 weeks and 6 days, I emailed company to check on delivery date. Mr. M did reply to my email stating production is finishing and expect delivery to Hawaii around 2 weeks later. That was fine with me, it was now 6 weeks. On the 7th week, I sent another email asking about delivery. Now Mr. M sends me an email stating that I have a custom order and there was delays with my bed base and it will be shipped out soon. He also said sorry for delay and offered me upgraded bed sheets. That was still okay. Four days later Mr. M sends me a email asking if I received my pillows & sheet? What? I didn't even get my bed yet? I did not respond to that email. It is now 9 weeks and now I'm frustrated. I sent an email asking how to cancel my order. Now I get and email and phone call Mr. M wanting to speak with me. Mr M apologizes over the phone and says he will give me $300 credit and will upgrade my pillows & sheets. His phone call gives me hope and I continue to wait. It is now 10 weeks and Mr. M email says I will get delivery this week. I send an email that I want everything delivered with bed. At 10 1/2 weeks bed and pillows arrive. Great. I am happy to have that, but other items are not with shipment. I again have to email Mr. M and he says these items will be shipped separately. On 11/15/18 it is now 13 1/2 weeks and no $300 credit on my billing, no sheet sets, no mattress cover, no chili system. I put in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. The next day I find the credit sent to my email and phone. Mr M response to BBB is that my statements are untrue. He's calling me a liar. What kind of customer service is that. Look at the facts. Look at what I had to go thru just to get the bed. I am still awaiting my sheet sets, mattress cover & chilli set. This company promises you something, but he blames other companies for what he promised. I guess his promise of upgraded sheet sheets, mattress cover and chili set were just a ploy to get customers to purchase his item and then he doesn't take blame for the items not getting to the customer. What a sham. Hooray, at 15 weeks all other items purchased or promised were received. This company gives you excuse after excuse. If he would just be honest and inform customers about the real delivery expectations and inform customers that other items will take over 3 months to receive that would help. I think he is afraid customers will cancel orders. I wish I cancelled the order. The bed is okay, its comfortable, but you have to wait so long and the company should communicate with customers and be honest. Follow up on the additional items received with bed set. Pillows - good quality but I have a Cal King, and standard pillows were sent. Mattress protector - loose and doesn't fit well Upgraded sheet set - Egyptian - loose and bigger than mattress Chilli System - Doesn't really cool down bed. Typically when one goes to a Home and Garden show and sees a booth displaying what looks to be an expensive adjustable bed, one tends to walk by at lightning speed with their head down so as not to make eye contact or elicit a sales pitch. However, a good night's sleep is never overrated, and since we had lots of time and lots of questions, we thought we'd give it a shot. We were sure we'd walk away relieved that we didn't care for the beds and saved ourselves a bunch of money and we'd have good joke fodder for the rest of the day about the sales pitch we endured. What we got, however, was an incredibly knowledgeable, patient and kind man named Randy. Turns out he is the owner of REM Sleep Solutions. He was humble but confident, and answered every. single. question. we had with ease. As I said, we had A LOT. He happily explained why someone would pay more than expected for his mattress. He gave us the demo of the adjustable positions and continued to explain why his mattresses are the best out there. We were sold and bought a split Cal-King before we left the home show. This is notable because my husband NEVER buys anything that expensive without doing an amazing amount of due diligence before pulling the trigger. We were both confident in the mattress we were buying and in Randy's ability to make it all come together. Randy took incredible care of us from the beginning to the delivery of our mattress 3 1/2 weeks later. He added upgrades, threw in extras and even worked with us to get our old, yet fairly new mattress delivered to my daughter who lives an hour and 1/2 away from us. Randy, Nico and the delivery team (Greg and his son) went way above and beyond to make sure we were 100% satisfied with our purchase. Yes, indeed we are. Granted, we've only slept on the bed two nights, but already we are waking up less sore, more rested and definitely impressed/pleased with our new bed. There is a learning curve to setting the bed up in the best position for each person, as was expected, but the silver lining to that is that there ARE so many settings available, as opposed to a regular bed that has only one - plain ol' flat. ;) The massage feature is nice, as is the night light feature that lights up the bed from below during the night. The split Cal King enables my husband to come to bed after me and not wake me up by the tossing and turning he usually does, which felt like belly flops from the high dive to me on my old bed. The zero gravity position is great for side sleeping and back sleeping. I've not heard my husband snore for 2 days and that is a feat in of itself. :) If you feel like you need a good night's sleep and are willing to plop down some extra cash, this is the bed to plop it on. Jason & Chantelle Happy Sleepers Conforms to body offering comfort and support also stays cooler than other memfoam mattresses, the edges of the bed does not give you a feeling you will roll off like the sleep# I owned before this. Oder from foam needs time to air out before use but, doesn't take long. My wife and I bought this bed at the OC fair. We were in the market for a new bed but, did not expect to run into Mike Grimes and Johnny Walker, two of the best salesmen I have run into in my years... Honest, not pushy and willing to work to sell a product that needs no help -Great Bed!!! Both The manufacturer REM and the distributor WestBay are very service oriented, they were wonderful to deal with. The salesman worked to match our budget to the product we wanted at a great price.. the delivery people were wonderful , I can not say enough we just love the bed, it is so comfortable! This comany and it products are terrible, I have the Martinque for less than 3 years already starting to sag in the middle. I would not buy another one to say the least. Buy a real brand name product, as this company is fly by night. read more
