Customer service plays a major part in how good the company is .I have experience The poorest customer service with REM on a purchase of sheets . I unknowingly ordered the wrong sheets for my bed at a cost of 200.00, when trying to exchange them they informed me that they do not take sheets back and I should've ordered the more expensive sheet it's my fault, information that they should put on their order form and webpage. Randy it's nice to know that $200 is more important than your customer satisfaction all I wanted to do was a simple exchange ,and your front desk was rude and Randy would not return my calls ,enjoy my $200 . I bought my REM Martinique 8 years ago for lower back pain from the equipment I carry on me at work. It is the most comfortable bed in our house. I always go to this bed if I have back pain and now it is helping me sleep with my shoulder pain. This is the only bed in our house that my husband does not snore on while sleeping. Just a warning to future customers of this company. Research first, comparison shop prices, see who has a local office & warehouse, learn names of owners, managers, etc. I made a mistake a bought my bed at a home show, or products show. It's been a while since I purchased it. I've not been happy with the "customer service." The people who I talked to were defensive and unfriendly and not very interested in my problems. So I stopped calling. Then I saw them again at another show and talked to one man directly about my problems with the bed and lack of customer service. He told me that he'd get someone out to help me with my problem. My remote control doesn't work, so he would check to see if it's the remote control or the bed that is defective. He never called, ever. So the customer service is what's really poor with this company. I paid an awful lot of money for my bed and I made a mistake buying from REM Sleep Solutions. I will never say anything nice about this company to my friends, but I highly doubt that I would have to. We were in the market for a new mattress, and just happened upon the REM booth at the Marin County Fair. Chris, the sales guy was great. Never pressured, took plenty of time to answer questions, show us the positive bed reviews, and test out the bed. I was a bit leery, as I had gotten screwed on my last mattress purchase. (Lady Englander brand, which I was told used a thicker guage of steel coils, and the brand high end hotels use. Total BS, and I suffered with that damn mattress for the years.) We purchased the Martinique style split king with the adjustable base. It was delivered the EXACT day and time as promised. The delivery dudes called on the day of delivery to confirm, and they set up the bed promptly. Good work! We've been sleeping on the bed for a month, and so far love it. Being able to raise the feet and/or head is totally worth the cost of the bed. To be able to take the pressure off your back with a few adjustments of the head and feet is a godsend. There's nothing like it, and I wholeheartedly recommend purchasing an adjustable bed. You won't regret it! I also recommend purchasing an REM bed at a fair, as they throw in "promotional" items: mattress pads, memory foam pillows, and two sets of sheets. One set of sheets was the Malouf brand which ROCK! They are so nice and smooth and comfortable. The other set of sheets was "Gotcha Covered," brand, which are horrible, scratchy and painful. I called REM to ask if I could switch those out, and was told twice they wanted to "make me happy," and would let customer service know. Still no call back from customer service, so I guess they don't really want to make me that happy! All in all, a good mattress purchasing experience, and again, spend the extra money on the split king adjustable feature! read more

You don't realize how much your mattress affects your life until you make a major upgrade and are suddenly so much better off. That's what I experienced when I got my REM bed. It took a few nights for my back to get used to the new surface, but the payoff has been well worth it. Muscle aches and numbness that I always took for granted are now lessened or eliminated. I'm not awakened in the middle of the night every time my husband shifts. I no longer wake up to a tangled pile of sheets from tossing and turning in my sleep. Obviously, REM isn't cheap compared to a traditional mattress, but it is a great value compared to the other memory-foam options I tried. We purchased our first REM mattress 9 years ago, and it's been the best mattress we've ever had, so when it was time to get a new mattress, we didn't think twice about getting another REM mattress. When I called to inquire about their store hours, the owner picked up the phone and scheduled an appointment in their show room for the next day. When we got there, the owner was already waiting for us and then proceeded to show us the various mattresses they made. We picked the mattress we liked, and the owner not only gave us a very generous discount on the mattress, he also threw in free pillows, a mattress protector and a sheets set. He also assured us that if we don't like the mattress, he would swap it for free with a different one, and he would continue doing that until we were completely satisfied with our new mattress. It was great to have that peace of mind. However, the mattress we got was so amazing, it exceeded all our expectations. Our sleep quality has never been better, and my wife is very happy that I don't snore as much, as I used to. I highly recommend this company to everyone looking for a new mattress. I purchased a One-piece Queen bed from REM Sleep Solutions Booth at the Craft Expo at the Blaisdell Center in Honolulu 10/13/19. My credit card was charged $2,800, and delivery was to be made in 4 weeks. Randy from REM called me the following week giving me an ETA for the bed sometime after Thanksgiving. On 12/3/19, I still had received no communication of the status of the delivery so I called the company no. (714)223-2830. I was told this was an answering service and a manager will be told to contact me. I received no call in December, and called again on 1/2/20. This time, Randy did return my call and told me of backorder problems, that the adjustable bases were here in Hawaii, but the mattresses were shipping separately. The ETA was 1/13/20. On 1/16/20, Ray from REM called to tell me the beds should be in the next week and that they had a lot of beds to deliver. I had no other calls from REM so called again 2/14/20. Randy returned my call saying a team would be in the next Friday to start deliveries, and that they plan to be making deliveries through March 1, 2020. I got no calls to schedule deliveries so called REM again on 3/4/20. My call was not returned, so I called again 3/7/20 and told them no one called me back. Randy called me back saying some beds were delayed, and they were to come in on Monday, 3/9/20 and start deliveries. On 3/11, Randy called and asked if it was okay to deliver the bed on Friday, 3/13 between 1-3 PM. I told him yes. I stayed home all day, expecting to receive the bed but no one showed up. At 6:30 PM, I called REM and told them I did not get the bed as promised. Randy called at 7:30 PM, very apologetic, saying things were going crazy with the deliveries. He would call me back on Monday, 3/16 to reschedule delivery and would issue a credit to my charge card for $200 because of the problems. I got no call on Monday, 3/16, so called REM again on 3/17. Randy did return my call, saying he would call to reschedule the next day, 3/18/20. He did not call. I checked my charge account and have not received a $200 credit that was promised. When the Economy shut down due to the COVID crisis I decided to hold off pursuing this because everything was shut down. Everything seems to be restarting, so I called the REM number on 5/27/20 (10 AM, I spoke with India) and left my name & number to contact. They have not returned my call. This has gone on long enough. I've tried to work with this company and believe I've shown way more patience than can be reasonably expected. As I've been ignored, and given the runaround on the delivery of a bed I paid for 7 months ago, I think it's time they gave me a full refund of my payment. It has become obvious to me, they have no intention of delivering the bed I paid for. I submitted this complaint to BBB. On checking on their site, the company now reads "Out of Business." Their website is still live. I'm also going to take this to Small Claims Court. I hope it's not too late for me. For anyone else who may be contemplating purchasing from this company --Beware!! Worst company ever!! Waste of time and money!! No customer service!! Very disappointed with their product and service. I bought my bed four years ago. I asked to replace ONE of my split king mattress because it is: 1. Uncomfortable and 2. Lost firmness, now sagging. When I explained my defective mattress to Randy, he said, "Nothing is wrong with your mattress." I spent $5000 on this bed at REM Sleep Solutions. What happened to customer service? This experience is a nightmare. He ignored my other problems: 1. Restless and sleepless nights and 2. Back pain when I get up in the morning. He been giving me the run around. He said he was going to send a representative to look at my mattress. He doesn't believe the pictures I've been texting him. I know the Covid-19 situation is happening right now, but before the pandemic, he couldn't give me a date of when my service call for the installer will be. Wow! This company is AMAZING! . We have bought from REM at a Home Show at the State Fair here in Sacramento, CA in 2013. My husbands and I were looking for a good quality bed and we found it with them. We bought the king split bed. Last year one of my sons started to have some back pain so we split our bed and gave each of our boys our bed. This year we started looking for a bed for my husband since he was in a big accident at work and his back is not doing so good. Since there aren't any shows rooms open right now because of COVID, We decided to buy a Costco brand. BIG MISTAKE. I still had my receipt for REM Solutions and I decided to call them. I spoke with Randy and he was able to deliver us a split king bed within a week. Yes, it's a bit more expensive then Costco but the quality of the bed is sooooo much better. It's so worth the money. We bought our bed in 2008; 9.5 years ago; mattresses are still firm and no need to change them yet; however, the remote stopped working. So, I called the company and Randy/Kathy team responded by directing me to the manufacturer. They also offered a discounted upgrade in technology. And, they even sent me a copy of the invoice. As it turned out, the remote from Ergomotion was still under warranty and they will replace the box and I will get new remotes....couldn't be happier! I will buy my next bed with REM. I would not recommend this bed to anyone. We bought it at a home show in April. We haven't had a new mattress in 16 years and we were so excited to get this in hopes it would help us sleep better. There is nothing special about this mattress, it wasn't comfortable, it didn't help my back pain, we slept even worse than on our old mattress. So we contacted Randy and after bugging him for a month, he finally sent us a new one. It is even worse! The first few inches are somewhat soft, but then you sink to what feels like a board (it is not, but not sure what that layer is made of, but it is hard as a rock). Worse night sleep ever. I do not usually write reviews, but I wish someone would have warned me before I spent so much money on this. I will say I love the adjustable, electric bed frame, it works very well ( I would give that 5 stars). I recommend that, just not the mattress. I just bought a mattress topper to go on top of the mattress to see if that helps. If not, I will probably look into a Puffy or Purple to go on my bed frame. Most mattresses will guarantee you will love it in 30 days or you can return it, not the case here. No return, just exchange... and there is not a good one to exchange it to. Also, we bought two sets of sheets in April at the home show and never got them. He keeps telling us we get them, but we never have, and it is July 1 now, 3 months later. I just called to ask a few questions but the owner was really informative and helpful and it happened to be thanksgiving weekend so they were having crazy sales and I convinced the bf to go see it right after work. well long story short, ended up going directly to the warehouse where the owner was, lied(sp?) down on their beds, and fell in LOVVVVEEEEE. they have memory foam beds, but its better than temperpedic because it wont get hot which is a common complaint for temperpedics. this is because they have a half inch layer of air cushion in the middle of the mattress that lets the heat out. and I totallly dont work for them. lol people always say that when I like soemthing I tell everyone about it and act like I work there.. I guess that's why I love yelp right right??! ps here's a little tip: if you can afford to pay cash, do it because prices are always negotiable with a little cash in the picture. anyway if you are looking for a bed, go there and try it out. it isnt the cheapest investment you make, but its a great one.. lifetime warranty! okay I totally sounds like a sales person now.. im going to go now. peace out! read more

I purchased the split king size bed from the Santa Clarita Home Show. The salesman was good and the bed was delivered. The delivery was ok, the delivery man broke a part and I saw him put the part in his pocket. When I asked about what happened, she said "That happens all the time." I asked him to replace the part, if the manufacture made it that way, I wanted it on the bed. He told me he would have one mailed to me. He continued the install. The two sides have an attachment so they do not pull apart. I asked the installer about that piece and he said they rarely put that in. I told him I wanted the beds to stay together, without the part they would pull apart. He told me they usually do not install that part. I asked him to install it on my bed. The installers did not know how to install that part, they pulled out the instructions, laying them on the floor like I do when assembling an Ikea dresser. They put it together and said they were done. I still saw a large box they hadn't opened. I asked them about the box. He told me that was the cool pad. I asked, why they had not opened the box. They said they usually let the home owner install that, but they could if I wanted them to. I had them install the cool pad. The deal was two sets of sheets. When they came I realized no one ever asked me about a color of sheet. The installer brought two sets of brown (tan) sheets. I wasn't really happy with the color and the installer said I could call the office and choose a different one. I called the office and spoke to a woman. She took all my information and we chose a different color. She told me I told a color they did not have in stock and would have to order them. She told me it would take five weeks. I spoke to the owner regarding the installation problems. The owner told me how long the installers had been with them and said he could not believe what I was saying. He basically did not believe me. I didn't receive the broken part until I called and talked to the delivery manager and he told me he never heard that there was a problem with my installation. I received the part in the mail. I still have not received the sheets. I ordered the sheets in April 2015 and it is now Aug 31, 2015. Today, I called again and the guy who answered the phone told me there was no notation in "the system" regarding my sheets. He told me the woman I spoke of is no longer with the company.? and I would have to again talk with the owner. Customer Service is a foreign topic with this company. James A. read more

We bought our new bed at a Sacramanto home show. It's something I wouldn't normally do but the adjustable bed and memory foam concept intrigued me. We looked at the other nationally advertised beds offering the same configuration for two to three times the price. I walked away with sticker shock realizing a significant component of the price was paying for their advertising. The REM bed was logically designed, comfortable and frankly a joy to lie in and manipulate the different sleeping and reading positions. Additionally, it was priced reasonably and offered a level of customer support not found in large national companies. During the buying process, I talked a couple of times with Randy Maddix, the company president. I found him to be sincere in his focus to to please the customer. In his view, a satisfied customer is the best way to showcase his product. That's a business model that's self sustaining, offering a level of organic growth that will contribute to the long term success and growth of REM beds. In our case, the buying process, delivery, take away and set up was timely, organized and professional. I couldn't ask or expect more. Do yourself a favor, before considering the high priced alternatitives, find a REM demonstration and try the bed for yourself. We LOVED our REM mattress that we purchased 8 years ago. Until last year, when it started to degrade. We both are sleeping downhill on both our sides. The middle is the only part that's still flat and firm. I spoke with Randy at REM and they'll replace my mattress, no problem. I'm extremely happy and satisfied with their level of customer service. Having worked in the Customer Service field for over 20 years, I know what's good and what isn't. I know when a company is trying to BS the customers, and when they're true to their word. We purchased the split queen adjustable REM bed and we love it. My wife had surgery on her foot and needed to keep it raised above her heart to reduce the swelling and pain. The adjustable split bed worked great and she did not have to hassle with a dozen pillows while my side of the bed was adjusted for my comfort. The massage feature is good for aches & pains and is very relaxing. When one person gets up at night the split feature has 2 mattresses so the other person's sleep is not disturbed. I'll admit, I was in complete panic mode when I first bought my REM Paradise mattress almost 2 years ago. I spent more than I had intended to on a mattress, bought it at a county fair, had never heard of this brand and the receipt said that all sales were final. Yet here I am, waiting for delivery on a second mattress for my guest room. I sometimes sleep there myself, to escape snoring, and really didn't like being away from my REM mattress. From start to finish our experience was flawless. Kathy in the showroom was friendly and efficient. Juan who delivered our new bed to Nevada was great. He set it up and explained how the system works. Randy coordinated everything and was very responsive and flexible.
