Those who live in Southern California have probably all seen the Sit 'n Sleep commercial with the famous tagline, "You're killing me Larry!" We had a spectacular experience at Sit 'n Sleep, Brea, with Sharon's assistance in the purchase of our beds. We wanted two split twin xls on an adjustable electric base, so we could position our individual mattresses to our comfort without having our spouse being affected. We needed fairly firm mattresses, due to our neck and back pains, along with a superb pillow. We have learned how much a good night's sleep can make the difference in aches and pains in the morning and how interrupted sleep makes for a sluggish and low energy day. This is a huge purchase. Almost as important as buying a house or a vehicle but on a smaller scale, because a bed is something we're in at least 8 hours everyday. It is not something replaced every few years. They are very costly, so we wanted to be sure we were at the right place and had someone who cared about helping us choose the mattress that was right for us. Sharon gave us an enlightening education on what types of mattresses we should look for. I bought a fantastic pillow, as well, that has changed how I sleep and wake up in the morning. The right pillow has always been a difficult find for me. They use this particular pillow on every mattress for their customers to lay on each bed to try out. Every associate, Josh, Tyler and Charles, who helped us at Sit 'n Sleep Brea was fantastic. They were all so kind and helpful and easy to work with. The bed arrived when scheduled and the guys set it up with care and precision and told us how to operate the remote with the various adjustable features. We went to multiple mattress stores over the last few years looking for our personal fit, and we can honestly say, that Sit 'n Sleep is our new go-to. They carry multiple bed manufacturers to choose from, as truly one size does not fit all. The 120 day guarantee for our mattress eased our minds considerably with our purchase. Knowing that we could return to exchange, if need be. At first we thought we might have made the wrong choice, as brand new mattresses start out more firm, but it took about two months to break it in to where we felt like this was indeed the one. It gave us peace of mind knowing that through the interim we were not stuck with a mattress that was not for us. In the end, our purchase was one we are extremely pleased with and are very thankful for both it and the warranty, should we need it for the electric base and the mattresses. We purchased a new adjustable king bed yesterday. We had visited one other store before shopping here. We were glad we stopped in we arrived pretty early which made it nice because the store was not busy. Josh was the guy we met as we walked in. He was very friendly, calm, helpful and well versed in sit n sleep line of mattresses and what we probably need for a better sleep. Charlie (Charles) helped us when we were in need of a new mattress. Despite having several customers in and out, we never felt rushed and he gave us great recommendations based on our needs. Sit 'n Sleep has a cool service where you lay down and their program adjusts to your body and tells you want would work best for your body type and weight. Despite what the program said (that we should have a firm mattress) we knew we wanted a softer one as our current firm one is killing our backs. Charles shared several options for us and he was knowledgeable about the ins and outs of each mattress. Sit 'n sleep also has their own branded bed that adjusts to you all night with varying levels of heating/cooling, height adjustments and more! We ended up not wanting that much technology on our bed, and went with a Stearns and Foster mattress that seemed perfect for us. Because we really wanted to go with a salesperson at another school, Charlie insisted on keeping Sit 'N Sleep competitive and gave us a discount on accessories. We were also able to get a quick delivery date which was great! As far as the brands we were interested in, they had no wiggle room for a price adjustment but I'm hoping the 120 (I think) day trial period will prove that the price was well worth it. Excellent experience. After 15 years, the wife and I needed a new mattress. We went to this Sit 'n Sleep, Brea location because it was close by and they price matched if we found the mattress cheaper elsewhere. So a win/win to start off with. We arrived and were greeted by Tyson there. What a good guy. He asked what size we needed and if we knew the firmness we wanted. He recommended we try their computerized bed finding system, which we did. He then directed us to the beds that matched what the computer said. I have to say, that computer was spot-on. We found a Sealy mattress that was just perfect and within our budget. We purchased it and Tyson said he could have it delivered the next morning. The next morning, the mattress was delivered, set up in the bedroom and the old one hauled away. It really doesn't get much easier than Sit 'n Sleep. My husband and I arrived approximately 45 minutes before closing. We already had the desired mattress and frame in mind since we've been researching and visiting other stores. However, we decided to check out the Brea location since not all stores carry the same merchandise. 1. Tyson was great, at first. 2. We found an alternate option we didn't see at other locations. 3. While trying several different mattress's and some we've already tried, Tyson was burping up his lunch directly at us. Smelled like Thai food!! 4. We informed Tyson that we were given a great quote online by Nectar and another S&S location was price matching with any mattress selection. 5. He seemed very indifferent and uninterested soon after telling him where we reside; his demeanor quickly changed. 6. He ran numbers and was not at all flexible on the bundle items assuming we had a low budget. 7. Clearly, he did not want to make a deal as it was already minutes after closing; at one point, he got snarky and his store manager (female) very rudely interrupted by stating out loud that she'd have to call corporate to adjust his time card because it was after closing time. Not once did she acknowledge us directly!! 8. We were beside ourselves as we felt the negative vibes and were being rushed out and pressured to make a purchase as Tyson stated he'd only crunch numbers if we were closing a deal since it was passed 6:00pm. 9. At that point, we politely thanked him for his time as he already had his business card in hand. As a project manager for a government agency, I recommend that corporate send in secret shoppers [specifically] of Hispanic ethnicity to see for themselves!! In addition, train store managers on professionalism. Also, train line/sales staff to improve their customer service and sales performance skills. Our existing Beauty Rest mattress was purchased 15 years ago, and we had an excellent overall experience at the former S&S Montebello store. We're now investing on a new adjustable mattress and do not want to make a hasty nor uninformed decision. By the same token, we want the best deal possible. We preferred to stay loyal customers to S&S; sadly, we are now looking elsewhere. Sufficed to say, we will never go back to the Brea location nor recommend it to anyone!! My visit here was my first brick and mortar mattress shopping experience. The team here, namely Sharon and Tyson made it such a great experience that I plan to shop here for any mattress related purchases in the future! Tyson was great over the phone to answer all the questions I had initially when I called the store prior to my visit. The service provided at the store was fine and I had no problems with the sales person I dealt with. My problem was with the delivery service they used. My new mattress was delivered at my house on Thursday December 05, 2024. Within 15 minutes after the delivery of the mattress and my old mattress was removed and taken, I called the driver and asked him to return my old mattress that they took. He promised me he will return it the following day, which was Friday. Friday morning, I texted him to please return the mattress and got no reply. I went to Sit'n Sleep in Brea and was given the Phone # of the delivery service. I called the delivery customer's service on Saturday morning and was told they were unable to get hold of the group and will keep trying to get hold of them and will call me back. I never got a call back so I called the delivery customer's service back later on in the day and was told that the group was not working on Saturday and that they will be contacted on Monday. I got no call on Monday so I called the delivery customer service back and asked for the lady I spoke with on Saturday. I was told she will not be working until the following day(Tuesday) I told the person that answered the phone about what I needed. She put me on hold to contact the delivery group. Came back on the phone and say she was not able to get hold of them but will keep trying and call me back. Never heard back from her so I called back and the lady that was supposed to off until Tuesday day answered the phone. She then informed me that my mattress has been disposed off and they don't have the screws that were taken from the bed platform that they took with them and was not given back to me. The most interesting thing about the whole situation was that I was sent a survey to evaluate the delivery service that was taken down once I requested to have my mattress returned. So I decided to go on this application to warn future buyers of the Sit'n Sleep delivery service! We went on Memorial Day, hoping to get a set of new mattress, at either Macy's or Sit'nSleep sale event. We tested out the mattresses at both vendors. Only at Sit'nSleep did they offered the disposal lining to try on their mattresses. Masks were also enforced, both important features to feel safer shopping during the pandemic. We were greeted by Jordan Ngo, who helped us find the right medium firm mattress, made by Sit'nSleep Sealy Mill Lake. No motion transferred was huge on our list, next to comfort of a medium firm. Even though the prices were higher, the quality of the mattress by Sealy Mill Lake, outdid the Beautyrest Plushtop at Macy's, for us. Jordan was friendly, patience and professional. Asked about the $100 online coupon, but it only applied to non-sale item. However, Jordan ended up given us the "teacher's discount" instead. So, to our teachers, it paid to ask for an educator's discount. So, thank you, Jordan! Delivery was very prompt and professional with Isaiah and Fernando T27. The gentlemen were friendly and timely. They arrived within the first 3 hours window. They texted the day before to confirm. Then called again 10 minutes away. We cleared out the pathway, so the delivery is more accessible. We decided to keep our old mattresses, and not to haul away. So, we asked both men to move them to another room, they were very cooperative and helpful. Overall, excellent job!
