Upon walking into this store two things will immediately hit you. First is the boiling heat, had to be at least 90 in this store which I think is the cause of the second thing. A horrible reeking stench that I can only describe as Buhdussy. If you're not sure what buhdussy is watch the 1997 movie "How to be a Player" but I'm sure you have an idea. I actually dry heaved it was so bad. Luckily after a few minutes once my brain realized I wasn't leaving any time soon it shut down my olfactory nerves making me used to stench. If you can pass these first two trials of endurance you'll be in for a nice surprise. More trials will follow though such as the Gauntlet of Elbowing A-holes and the Barricade to Check-Out. What is ReMART? It's a giant stinky hot warehouse filled to the brim with Costco returns and Costco seasonal items. As long as you have a rough idea on what the original prices are you can find some really awesome stuff here and in my opinion it's worth dealing with the previous mentioned issues. If you're the guy who spent $25 on LED light bulbs and then changed their mind and returned them.... I then got to buy them here for $15. Hated that paper shredder? Well, it's now here for almost 50% off. What happens to all that Xmas stuff you see at Costco?? Ends up here for almost 50 to 75% off. Those fancy gift bags, the xmas cards, the wrapping paper, the xmas lights, etc. etc. All those items they have displayed at the store for you to look at such as vacuums, pots & pans, etc... here too. As others mention there was some things in here not priced well, but as long as you go in with some idea of what things cost you can find some really good deals. They have a 90 day return policy so you have no worries just in case one of those returned items was returned for not working. 5/9/14 update: Store was both cool in temperature and fresh smelling. We were grabbing coffee nearby when we noticed a man on the street waving a sign promoting discounted Costco stuff. Was it food? We hoped not, but since we were there, our interest was piqued and we decided to check it out. No food, thank goodness. If I had to describe this place... it would be a hodgepodge between a hoarder's yard sale, and something that couldn't be sold at ROSS. I think this is where things go right before they hit Goodwill, because they're on their last leg. I'm sure if you had the time or patience to dig through some of the areas, you might find a good bargain, but I'm not one of those people. The store is super disorganized and there are random bins placed throughout with things they just gave up on trying to find a home for. They have everything from furniture to a ton of toasters, microwaves, vacuums, clothing and more. Is it nice stuff? Not really - but it's cheap and I think that's the appeal to people. Most of the electronics and appliances that are there are because they've been returned or they are on the older side and outdated. Parking is ample as it's in the old Design District off of the 91 and Imperial, but the ventilation isn't all that great in the store... so if it's hot, you'll feel/smell it immediately. Would I be back? Probably not - but if you have time to kill or just looking for discounts on banged up and slightly used merch... then this is the place for you. read more

Recently purchased a couch from here and there was a bit of a mix up when I went to pick it up a little over a week later. The manager who wasn't in at that time called me the next day and made it right! Everyone in the store is very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely shop here again! Prices are great! Was in store on Sunday bought many items, told cashier i bought a brig skirt but threw away receipt. Cashier said does it have all tags??? I said yes, he stated you can bring it back and exchange . He was fairly nice. On Monday brought back told gentleman at register i was returning he asked for a receipt, I said No but manager other day said i can exchange, he said Me and him are the Managers that was just an employee, they proceeded to check item on register Alex tells other Mgr. it's marked sold. Short Hispanic mgr. said I will return just this one time but what ever you buy can not be returned, that will b a final sale item. I felt so mistreated with the way I was treated. I couldn't even shop. I returned to Alex and told him they treated me as if I stole the item, he said I treated you according to protocol. This place was pretty good when it first opened, but recently it's gone down hill. Even though it's full of random overstock items (some from Costco), it was usually organized well. Now it feels like a pricey garage sale. I might still considering going there for furniture if you're on a budget. You might find something nice, but honestly, you have the same shot at finding something similar or better at Big Lots. Last time I was there in the summer, they didn't have any A/C which sucked. Now that Jerome's is open next door, maybe ReMART will benefit from them, but it wasn't fun to shop in. Still, if you're looking for a expensive garage sale - this is your place! read more

RE: Couch cost the exact same in Costco. Should've bought it brand new there to begin with. You say "you are always willing to work with me" If that was truly the case, you would not have said "well though luck" when I called and inquired about what can be done about the situation. You say I can bring the couch back, but it already cost me a bunch of extra money to use your delivery, I am not going to waste more money on getting it back to the store, especially when I do not trust you will take it back because I don't trust your attitudes. So I bought a pair of matching lamps, $27 each. One worked, but the other did not. A straightforward exchange one might think. But as soon as I tried to exchange, there was immediately a HUGE problem according to the manager, because the item number was different on the receipt. This is because there were two item numbers on the defective item, but they only scanned one of the numbers at checkout. (The working item had one tag only.) Immediately the manager started talking as if 1) an exchange or return was going to be a BIG problem, 2) he insinuated that I switched the shades, which I absolutely did not 3) he brought to the counter a lamp with a different shade that did not match the other lamp. It was getting so drawn out at this point that I raised my voice and said "it doesn't f***in' match!". In the past I have bought two chairs, three rugs, one shower head, a dutch oven, and multiple other items, but never tried to return anything. I have nothing personal against the store, but I am never going back because of this one bad experience. Return policy is not what they say it is. They have a bunch of random crap that is hard to get rid of, because it is a bunch of random scratch and dent stuff, so they are NATURALLY not going to want to return/exchange things NO MATTER WHAT. I purchased some rugs because they were marked 50% off only to realize I was charged the regular price. I also inquired about the size of a large rug (rolled up). As the cashier asked the manager working near his tone and response was very rude. I said screw the rug and left the store. As much as I would have liked the rug his attitude discouraged me from spending anymore money with them. read more

Buyer beware! Check items before you leave the store. They do not stand by the merchandise they are selling, despite saying it's guaranteed. Tried to return something that didn't work properly. Was told it worked when I bought it, they basically implied I was lying. I had to way of proving otherwise since I didn't open it until I was home. Prices aren't that great either!! This store has Costco's clearance. Great deals , great selection. I called the store and spoke with Alfredo. I wanted to make sure they had the item I was specifically looking for, before I made the trip. He was very professional and checked to see if they had the item. Unfortunately they didn't but I was still happy that he made the effort to check for it. How often do you get a live person on the phone let alone to do the courtesy of checking for it. As I look up the prices at other stores, Target, Costco (Thats where a lot of this junk comes from - the returns) and other places, BRAND NEW is the same price or cheaper. I got a sweet deal on a couple of really nice Samsonite luggage set pieces (both the extra large and med sizes...I mean what's the point of the little ones anyway..?) and I love them! I get compliments on them all the time and the it was only $30! Also, I found a really interesting pair of JEEP brand hiking sandals for like $15, and they are now my go-to hiking/climbing shoe. I saw a lot of other stuff that was cool but just kept wondering what was wrong with the items for there in the first place and priced so low...I totally caught myself playing the "what's the defect" game after I spent 20 minutes with an expensive looking stainless steel garbage can with the foot/lid opening feature. I really needed one but upon further examination I kept finding cracks in the hard plastic on the inside container or small dents on the stainless steel outside...there was a few so I even tried mixing and matching but my OCD just wouldn' let me go through with it. The inventory is super random and I'm guessing it changes pretty often but they had a ton of DVDs, electronics, clothes, furniture, hardware, kitchen appliances...even food! Actually, I ended up having a lot of fun just walking around looking at all the crazy stuff...it's kind of like the swap meet minus all the super low quality crap. Anyway, quality CAN be found here if you don't mind minor imperfections (depends on your limits hahaha). So, if you love a good deal and wouldn't think twice about taking in a homeless dog with one eye...this place might be right up your alley! :) read more

I came here searching for a vacuum because I heard they get most of their stuff from Costco. They have home appliances, tools, exercise machines, furniture, clothes, light fixtures, among other things, and everything is marked down because it has either been used and returned, or it is broken, scratched, or missing parts. They had a few good things that I saw....I didn't buy a vacuum because I still wanted to shop around, but .on their vacuums they offer a 2 year warranty which is cool because when you buy used you never know what you are getting. It was super duper hot and uncomfortable inside the store! If you want brand new, unopened, perfect products, you may be disappointed, but if you're a bargain hunter you may find a diamond in the rough. read more

This is where returns go to try and live another day saving you a buck or two but ultimately die when they're a defective POS and should be thrown away. So this place just opened on the 14th. Basically, its like a second hand store for Costco items. All of the products looked like returned items, the majority of the items don't even have the original boxes. The huge warehouse is very well organized but there are only a few items there. This is like a TJ MAXX, but all the merchandise appears to come from Costco. So lots of Kirkland stuff, but other brands as well. We found some great deals on clothes here. Lucky jeans for $20, CK men's dress shirt $15. Saw lots of treadmills, kitchen appliances, vacuums. It looks like they are returns, but the cashier said they all have a 2 year warranty. Visited for the first time. Probably won't be back. Good selection of clothing and random junk. Food section was full of open stock instead of cases. A lot of broken items. Not to mention the store looks like a temporary set up with busted up floor tiles and rickety looking shelving. Even a discount store should make an effort to look intentional. read more

another outlet used to sell primarily Costco returns, but now they carry stuff from Macy's, Amazon and Kohls since they buy pallets of returned merchandise, it is always a hit and miss here. Sometimes you can find some good deals, other times just junk store is a bit more organized now, they were looking pretty bad a couple months ago, but have added shelving and stock a bit better usually stop off to see if they have any dog food, when they do, pretty good deal .....boo, just a bunch of cat food this time! got a couple Aveno gift sets on way out, pretty good to keep around for floater gifts as Christmas is fast upon us! read more

Used to shop at Remart when it was in Upland. My wife and I were in the area so stopped in here to see what they had. What a huge disappointment. My wife wanted a treadmill or elliptical trainer. What a joke. They had a good selection, of junk. And the prices were ridiculous. $400 for equipment that was falling apart and had broken pieces on them. I would not take a chance on buying this garbage unless the price was deeply discounted. I'm pretty sure I would be returning it. We ended up buying some Resolve carpet cleaner and Finish dishwasher detergent so it wasn't a complete waste of time but we will not be back, even if we are in the neighborhood. If I could give them a -5 I would because this business is as shady as a 3 dollar bill. I purchased two canopies and one was ripped. When I tried to return the ripped one the manager tried insinuating I ripped it and when that didn't work he insinuated I stole them even though I had a Peugeot for two of them. Then he says oh it has two barcodes and neither of them match the receipt. So there for saying I stole them and found some random receipt. I went and got second canopy that had no sticker when he said that it had to have been that stickers barcode and then scanned twice. So when it had no sticker with a barcode he's saying nothing they. An do I said okay I'll take both of my canopies then and I'll just dispute it with my bank and get my money and he pulls it back and nearly pulls my arm out of the socket and at this point I am irate yelling and cussing him out and he says for other employees to call the police I said yeah call the cops they can figure it out and he then lets me have the canopy and I leave like why would he just give up so easily. This business is scamming people left and right and has been for more then 7 years and it's wrong. To the manager you f*t tub or s**t I hope you ch*** on your girlfriends di**. Karma sucks and it's in its way bud. I wouldn't go back to this business even if I was told my life depended on that place or I would die I would die with a smile on my face! read more

I guess you have to know the prices to compare prices. My first time to come here I was able to buy a few stuff that were at least 50% less. Some are priced almost the same at the stores like garments and kitchen appliance. The place is really warm like there is no AC running. The place is not too neat or organize. Some of the staff were not too helpful as far as answering questions. But overall, it was a good visit for me. I was able to find what I was shopping for and more! I would come back here for more discounted stuff. read more

We are huge costco fans, so when we heard of this it was a jackpot for us! Staff super friendly. It is a hit or miss but it is a liquidation, so I expected that. Everything is scattered, but I can tell they try to keep it organized as best as possible. One plus is they have (one) dressing room. I was disappointed that the costco stuff they do carry is only marked 20-30% off of what it would cost to buy at Costco. For that I would buy it at Costco and trust me, I know Costco's prices. Worth a try, especially if you need baby stuff and vacuums! Oh yeah and NO AC and it gets stuffy amd smelly, lasted about 30min in there lol. read more

Prices are rigged. They say the original price is a certain amount to make the discount look amazing, but it's not correct. I had physically bought a swim suit for my daughter at Costco the same day I visited the store and saw the same one. At Costco it was originally $12 and on sale for $10. At Remart it said it is originally $17 on sale for $9. Same thing for a piano I bought from Costco last year. Saw the same one and the "sale" price here at Remark is what I paid for it. My husband and I have shopped Remart for years. We've remodeled three homes and he finds great prices on led lighting fixtures, tools, etc. saving us hundreds. Personally, I stock up on vitamins, soap, clothing (for myself and grandkids), kitchen items, sheets, and misc items that I usually purchase from Costco, but discounted from 0 to 80%; so know your prices before you go. We brave the 91 to make to make the trip from North Riverside, which attests to our loyalty. They offer, and honor, a 90 day return policy. Overall, a hit or miss, but we both highly recommend visiting Remart, especially after Christmas. Note: They no longer offer "zero sales tax for cash". read more

Dude, it's an outlet store with returned or discontinued items from Costco. WITH a Warenty! I don't know why everyone is complaining, especially since Costco doesn't even have regular items stocked. It's just the nature of the beast. Every time I've come here, I've found some killer deals: $45 for an Ergo baby carrier, $1.50 for Finish dishwasher soap, $3.99 for costco sized laundry detergent, $10 for dog food. And they have tons of TV's, washer/dryers, and vacuums. I'll check here before I go elsewhere for appliances. read more

As the other reviewer stated, pretty much all this stuff comes from Costco. It's not all returned items. Some of it is overstock, damaged, or floor models. The main items in the store are furniture, vacuums, appliances, and clothing. You can find small electronics, outdoor/home, office supplies, toys, linens, food, etc. items, but a very limited supply. If you want to score a deal, it takes time and smarts on your part. If you're somewhat familiar with prices at Costco, you'd be able to tell that some of the items sold are absolutely NOT a fair price, even though the tag will indicate it's been marked down a lot. I'm not sure how they get their "original" prices, but there are some items exclusively sold at Costco (Kirkland products), and knowing the prices of these items (that I buy regularly), Remart's prices are actually sometimes more than the original price new at Costco. Do your homework before making big purchases there. Sometimes Amazon's prices are close to, if not better for some of these items. The clothes are all brand new with tags, so I doubt most of them are returns...just overstock or stuff that didn't sell off. Jeans and slacks are a really good deal here. A lot of furniture like couches are not in new condition, so it's not much better (and definitely not cheaper) than buying used from someone who keeps their stuff in good shape. Sometimes the best deals are on grocery items, but again, you need to have an idea of what Costco charges before looking at the price tag and assuming you're getting an amazing deal. It's a store I swing by somewhat regularly only because I live nearby. The inventory changes frequently, so you never know what to expect. My family has gotten a few good deals here for sure, so it's worth checking out if you are a smart shopper and happen to be in the area. read more
