This could have easily turned into a frustrating, drawn-out situation, but Logan, from Remi Roofing, stepped up in a way that truly exceeded our expectations. Even though the issue involved post-construction solar performance, their team took ownership of the situation and worked diligently to make sure everything was made right. They coordinated and ensured that another technician came out to properly diagnose and repair the solar system so it could be returned to full service. Their dedication, follow-through, and commitment to customer satisfaction were exceptional. Without their assistance and determination to see the job through, we would still be dealing with a non-productive solar system. Instead, everything is now working exactly as it should. It's rare these days to find a company that genuinely goes above and beyond for their customers--but Remi Roofing absolutely does. Our experience during the sale of our home in Reno, NV involved Sunrun and Remi Roofing -- and it has been costly and extremely stressful. When we had solar panels installed nearly five years ago, it was implied that if roof work was ever needed, Sunrun would handle the panel removal process. What we later learned is that you are referred to one of their contracted roofing companies and cannot freely hire your own roofer due to the solar equipment. During our home sale, an inspection revealed our roof needed replacement. We were referred to Remi Roofing (based in Utah), despite our home being in Nevada. We clearly communicated that the roof had to be completed by February 10 in order to close and avoid another mortgage payment. For weeks, we requested written confirmation of scheduling and received none. On February 3 -- one week before closing -- we were informed that the project could not begin until the company obtained proper Nevada licensing. This was never disclosed earlier, despite repeated conversations about deadlines. After licensing and permitting delays, the project was handled under Xperience Roofing. The roof was completed on February 15, after our required deadline. During our final buyer inspection, we learned (through the inspector's photos) that the roofers damaged our interior ceiling and knocked the vent off our water heater. We were never informed of this damage by the roofing companies. The delays have resulted in additional mortgage payments and potential rate lock extension fees. While the phone representatives were polite, the overall experience was marked by lack of transparency, licensing issues, missed deadlines, and failure to disclose damage. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend these companies to homeowners who need clear communication and reliable timelines -- especially when a home sale is involved. read more

Not only did this company charge us double, they subcontracted us to another company who did substandard work. They just finished removing the panels and they left ALL of the brackets. Their rationale, they don't want my roof to leak. It's August in Northern California. The rain is still at least two months away AND they know my roofers are starting tomorrow. I doubt we'll have a leak in 16 hours without any actual precipitation. But...the agreement I have said everything would be removed and they would temporarily sealed my roof. Just one more reason to avoid this company if you can. read more

STAY AWAY!! This company is a joke and everything about the process was terrible. The job was way overpriced and a rip off for the 5 hours they were actually here to move the panels. They bounced us around different customer service reps and reps would constantly not follow up or give incorrect information. About a month in they just stopped working on the project entirely and finally got things moving after reaching out to the CEO. Even after all approvals, more delays in moving the panels. Cancelled final inspection three times and they didn't tell us or the city inspector who showed up confused and frustrated. I probably spent 40 hours on the phone and email trying to get this project completed. Took over 6 months to get panels moved 10 feet to the other side of the roof. Do not use this company!!! read more

This company says that they will not take money out of the established escrow account until each phase of the work is done. They took the money before the last phase was completed even though I told them several times that the job was not done. I had serval texts letting them know this. It took them 6 weeks to come and complete the small item that needed to be done. I would think hard about using this company. I wish I could give them no stars. Let me also state that the roofing company was great. My problem was with the reinstall of my solar panels. read more

The rating of 3 stars is mixed. Would be 5 (or 10 if I could) for the roofing crew (Rajelio), and 2 for early communication and solar installation. We went with Remi, and their subcontractor Roof Masters, because our Solar company, SUNRUN, either has to approve who we choose (and we lose warranty, plus cost would be $12000 more to remove/replace the panels) OR we go with their selection (Remi, who subcontracts out based on the area). The beginning communications were absolutely terrible and we were so frustrated we were concerned about the decision. Once the roofing crew showed up though, they were amazing. They worked hard, and fast. Cleaned up everyday, were pleasant to deal with, and they did a quality job. No complaints about the roofing crew (thanks to Rajelio). Unfortunately, the solar installation crew was not impressive. They showed up without notice, were slow as could be, difficult to communicate with them, left trash on the roof and gutters, and left a couple things unattached. Reached out to Remi, who reached out to Roof Masters, to see about getting someone out to check the final job and correct the unattached items. After 2 weeks, the job is finally completed. The initial roof and solar replacement only took 4 days, but it was 2 weeks later to finally get things fixed. And of course more confusing and conflicting texts in the process. So, ultimately going with Remi was fine, albeit with a great deal of frustration from conflicting/confusing messages. The roof looks great and the solar panels are working. read more
