Remo showed up when he said he would. Our range stopped working Thanksgiving day. We explained the issue we were having. In short after a kitchen remodel it turned out to be an electrical problem. Our dryer was also making a rumble when drying. Remo looked at it and explained the problem and fixed it. Remo was at our house about an hour and 15 minutes. So from the time Remo called to say he was on his way to the time he left about an hour 45 minutes. Having other appliance repairs from other repairmen I was Expecting big bill, service call, travel time, time spent etc, but the bill was very affordable! As I've mention in past reviews on my profile, due to having negative experiences with random home contractors in the past, my mom no longer gets to choose her contractors...lol. She now lets me do the legwork to be sure she is getting a quality vendor. She recently called me freaking out because her washer was malfunctioning and it had wet work clothes in it. She was worried about cost for a new washer or even just a repair. I found Remo on Yelp and did a bit more digging, discovering that he had great reviews on multiple places online. Remo and I chatted briefly by phone before he spoke to my mom directly. Not only did he get out super fast to take care of her, he found and fixed the problem in record time, all the while being very affordable. That being said, she recently had an issue come up with her sink disposal and I told her to call Remo. He was able to get out quickly, he was so kind to her, and he repaired the issue on the spot. I'm so pleased we called! He took a look at our dishwasher, gave us his professional opinion which at first, seemed like we would have to buy a new dishwasher. Once he pulled it out and got a closer look, he saw that he would be able to repair it. He worked hard at finding the parts needed (discontinued parts by the manufacturer), and was back and had our dishwasher repaired in no time! I cannot thank him enough for his honesty and hard-work. Very nice, on time, super honest repairman. He came to our house around 5 which was really nice because I didn't have to take much time off work. He gave me an honest assessment of my machine and then (unlike some repair people) told me that I would be better off just getting a new machine. He then gave me some really good advice about what to look for in a new machine, and in his experience which brands to avoid. He cleaned up where my machine's transmission was leaking. And because he didn't repair my machine he didn't charge me for the service call! I just feel bad that I didn't have cash on hand to be able to slip him a tip. Unbelievably nice and professional guy. Was probably one of the best interactions I've ever had with any kind of technician. We had some nice conversations about his culture and background while we diagnosed the issue with my washer. A gentleman answered the phone, and stated that he was finishing up his day, but would fit me in. He could have easily charged me for the expensive motherboard replacement along with everything else but took some time to identify the real problem (the thermostat) and saved me $300 or $400. Returned my call within 10 minutes & when I described the problem with my oven, he wanted to see if the part was available before coming out. As it turns out, the part is mo longer available & I believe a lot of companies wouldn't have gone the extra mile as he did.
