Just want to say a few things and our job is not done yet! Bill, Ruben and Adrian are first class in our book. They have been on our job since the 19th of September and they have been great! They are very accommodating and fix everything we spot. Everytime we have a list of concerns they are more than willing to go down the list and show you what they are going to do to correct or enhance the issue. We went away for our anniversary while the work was being done and Ruben sent pictures every evening before he left, what contracter does that!! Only good ones!!!!! We just started our project, a sun room addition, today. The Remodel site/project managers came by a couple of days before to finalize some of our details and coordinate material deliveries. One also came by this morning to meet with me and the work crew, they were all professional. However, the work started today was for a contract with them that had an estimated timeline of being completed before November 2018. The lack of communication was very frustrating during this delay and only after numerous emails to the different points of contact we have been working with, did we finally get on the same page. We had some hold up with our county for permits (once they were filed, they weren't filed until mid-November), however at this time Remodel USA has made it right in our opinion. I am giving 3 stars based on this alone. I will update my review as work progresses. We do have security cameras up so we are able to "drop" in virtually at anytime to see what is happening. I too am glad we didn't read the reviews prior to signing with this company, they were the 3rd company that came out but Ted won us over. read more

Two weeks ago I had a salesrep over to discuss a sunroom addition. I thought he was pretty knowledgeable and understood what I wanted. Discussed various options and he left with an understanding and would be back today with a proposal. Prior to that, when I made the appointment, I was asked if my wife would be present, no she will not. The salesrep asked me the same question prior to leaving to have my wife present the next time he returns. No she will not, she is self employed and won't be able to make it. I am perfectly capable explaining to her what was discussed and the design. Two days later I get a call from someone in that office. Remodel USA: You have an appointment on Monday, will your wife be present? ME: Ahhhh, noooooo she will not. Remodel USA: Why not? Me: None of your business. My wife and I will make a decision once the proposal is reviewed and compared to others. Remodel USA: .....but your wife needs to be there Me:.....You did not hear me...she will not and if that is a problem lets cancel the whole deal...I hung up after several back and forth about whether my wife will be there or not.. Two hour later, a guy from the company called Remodel USA: ....your wife needs to be present.... Me: hmmmmm... I explained this already previously. If that is a problem for you let's forget it Again, there was some back and forth before I hung up Today, Monday. Call from some guy in that office Remodel USA: ....Hi, you have an appointment today, can we change it to tomorrow? Me: hmmmm, OK let;s change it Remodel USA: .......Will your wife be present?...... Me: Ahhhhh...noooooo she will not, is that a problem?...... Remodel USA: Yes, we need her to be there..... Me: Why?..... Remodel USA: because....it is company policy Me: ...maybe you should change that policy if you wish to do business with me. I told you and your reps a hundred times you have to deal with me and if that is a problem let's cancel the deal Remodel USA: ...but we need your wife... Me: Please do not call me back ever. The deal is off and I do not wish to do business with your company....I hung up I hope this is the last time I hear from that company. It is unfortunate that their business model is not designed for the satisfaction of their customers, but a model of pressuring couples into signing a contract. They had a well presentation, I was happy with what was discussed and prepared to take a proposal serious. They lost me as a customer because of their ignorance. By the way. Absolutely terrible company. DO NOT USE. My wife and I had a sales rep (Gregory) come out to give us a quote and show us the product. Through the process he kept calling the "president" to see if he could authorize special discounts for us. When my wife and I decided that we wanted to use this company we signed the contract and were told we would have a product manager call us in the next couple of days to come out and remeasure just to ensure there wasn't any mistakes. They emailed us the contract a week later with the wrong color and it took 6 times of sending it back for them to confirm the color change. After a few days they called us and told us that color was discontinued and they had a completely different product. Gregory was supposed to bring the new color samples to our home so we could pick a new one, failed to show up, and sent us a photo instead. With out even getting to see the new product they asked us to pick a new color, which we did. The sales associate was unaware of the color change for over a week. After another week 3 men showed up at my home while my wife and I were at work and measured with out us there, no warning and completely unannounced in an unmarked vehicle and entered our back yard with out permission (we have a dog with a dog door as well). When we called to ask if it was their company they had no idea. Finally a woman called us to let us know they had scheduled without our knowledge to have the contractor come out 4 days later and didn't know why they showed up that day. Then the company does not get back to us about any start date or plans for a month. The salesman told us it would be completed in 4-6 weeks from the day he was there. It has now been almost two months and I checked my email and a refund had been issued. With no call and no reason why, they canceled our order and when we called Dillion Temples he had no idea what was going on. We have preceded to play phone tag with the president, Mr. Khader for several days. Finally when we got in contact with Dillion again he ultimately recommended using a different company that he used to side his house! He blamed the contractors for all of the mistakes with this process and said they separated ties with that company for their unreliability. Their own employees don't even get their work done there! We told him we'd still like to try to use them if there's anyway we could push it out because we are both leaving for a couple of months and thought it would be done by now and we didn't want to have to start all over, so Dillion promised he would show up today at 4:30 to do the remeasure himself and sign a new contract. At 7 we called him because we haven't heard anything and he asked to reschedule. If you want to be strung along and end up disappointed this is the company for you! read more

Remodel USA is the worst! DO NOT use this company. We used them to remodel our kitchen and had the worst experience. We should have fired them from the onset when the installer came to demo our kitchen, which involved removing a wall, and didn't put up any barriers to seal off kitchen entry ways from the rest of the house. Cabinets were not hung properly, back splash was crooked and our floor was laid wrong. Electrical sockets were not grounded properly (a real fire hazard). I could go on and on. We had them come back to our home over and over again to redo their subpar work. We finally reported them to the Better Business Bureau who guided us on how to report them to the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Only after mediation with this agency did the Owner and VP of the company get involved although we complained to them many times. Even after this, we did not get the kitchen we paid for. This company has no integrity, communicates with the customer as if they are novices who should accept and pay for shoddy, sloppy, unprofessional work, and seem to employee very few craftsmen who take pride in their work. March 9, 2015 - Although the finished project looks good (minus three outstanding issues), I had to put in much more effort than I should have. There was poor communication among all of the employees: from sales rep to project manager to installer. No design plan or layout was done. I had asked for pictures of the fixtures I had chosen, but nothing was ever sent to me. The medicine cabinet I had chosen was discontinued, but no one told me until a different medicine cabinet showed up. How could they have ordered it and not told me until the product showed up? The bathroom sink faucet I had selected was a single faucet. What showed up and how the granite had been cut, was for separate hot and cold. Again, they made this mistake early on if the granite was cut wrong. I wanted a vanity with drawers or storage. They never consulted me about specific details and ordered one without any drawers. The installer lied to me and said that a replacement vanity (with drawers) had been ordered, and that it would take two weeks to show up. He said he hoped to be the one that installs the replacement one since he will know how to tear out the current one. The existing vanity he just installed would have to come out, so he said he didn't put the finishing touches on it (no kick plate was installed or caulking on the backsplash). I can't tell what else is missing (reinforcement? caulk?). When I explained all this to the project manager, he said that no replacement had been or will be ordered. Besides, the installer had no authority to order a new one anyway. The project manager asked whether I would be happy if they resolved the vanity storage issue and installed the kick plate. I said I would be happy. He told me early last week that he would call later in the week with a solution. Today is Monday of the following week and I still have not heard from him. To me credibility goes rapidly downhill when you overpromise and under deliver. Too much effort on my part with this company. I'm sure another company would have done just as good quality of an install as I have but without all the poor coordination, communication, and lack of attention to detail. Updated! April 14, 2015. After contacting the project manager many times in the past month and a half, all I've gotten is "hey, buddy, we haven't forgotten about you". Seriously?!! No kick plate was ordered for a month after the installer left, the caulking is still not done, AND it's taken them almost two months to figure out a storage solution for the cabinet (which will not be removed)??! I am pissed. No action. Only talk, talk, talk. The only reason for 2 stars and not 1, is that the almost finished bathroom looks/works nice. read more

Unless you enjoy the experience of dealing with a sleazy used-car dealership or a time-share sales pitch, avoid Remodel USA. We requested an estimate for a solarium through Home Advisor. The Remodel USA salesman came out and took measurements. I tried to look past his cheesy sale pitches ("On a scale of 1-10, how important is it to get a good value?") so I could hear his estimate. He told me he'd get back to me soon with a quote. A few days later, the office contacted me and told me they needed to "reschedule" a meeting with me because my spouse failed to show up at the initial meeting. They explained that they would not give me the quote unless I met with them again with my spouse present. I explained that this was not necessary and we just needed the quote as promised. They refused, using an assortment of reasons, such as "wives will ask questions later and we will have to explain everything twice." Obviously it is a transparent sales ploy to try to get an opportunity to apply more pressure. At any rate, they flatly refused to give the quote they promised without meeting them again at a residence where we do not live and need to take time off to get to. I found this company through an ad on tv, and decided to call them to have a sunroom installed in our house. The whole installation process took about 2.5 weeks (which is really good). However, the work was not up to par. They sent out two crew to work on the house, one for our deck and another for our sunroom. The sunroom turned out really well, however, the deck had many problems. After addressing the problems with the workers and their boss, the issues were still not fixed. I Can Not Recommend: I was contacted by phone in regards to an inquiry I made through Home Advisor for a bathroom project. I have a disabled brother who lives with me and requires assistance with his bath. In his bathroom I wanted a jetted tub removed, replaced with a standard tub, a new surround, new fixtures and hand rails added. I stated clearly I wanted plain finishes, no tile, no granite and nothing that was hard to clean or required extra care. I wanted a simple utilitarian bathtub appropriate for a handicap person. The young man who came to look at the bathroom was very pleasant, knowledgable about his products, and I enjoyed the time spent with him. He took detail measurements and drawings. He even made suggestions to improve the function of the bathroom. The samples of product for you to choose from were beautiful and of good quality. In the end I agreed to up grade the project to a full remodel which included extending the vinyl flooring into the bedroom so it would tie to two rooms together. Everything was great until he gave me the quote! $43,000 for a 6' x 8' bathroom. I about fell over! Not only was that Waaayyyy over my budget, I felt horrible about wasting the young man's time. He even called his manager to see if they had any discounts to offer, which they did but it only reduced the price slightly. It was still far more than I could afford. I explained that there was no way I could proceed with the project at this time. He was very kind and understanding and left. Up to this point I would have recommended this company to someone because they appeared to be a great company with a great product but that has changed. These people will not leave me alone! They keep calling to either schedule an appointment to send someone over to speak to me about the project or they will say they made a mistake in pricing and want to come back to reprice it but they can't explain where the mistake was made. I've asked them nicely not to call and I've been mean and they still keep calling. I don't know how to make them stop. I had over $38,000 work done from this company for 2 bathrooms remodeled. After replacing one crew with another due to failure to show issues, the work finally got done 4 months past the time projected. When a part on the walk-in-bathtub broke they would not help. I even drove to their headquarters where they promised they would me know when the part came in. Ha! When the shower leaked thru my ceiling in my dining room they would not answer their phones. We had this company replace a roof for us and update our front porch. The work was satisfactory, however the constant calling (harassment) after the work is completed is inexcusable. They call constantly from 301-333-6000 to offer you deals for your next project even after we told them that we have no plans to do anymore work and to remove our names from the list. They try to schedule meetings to meet with you to show you their products, and offer you a supposedly great deal, and try to intimidate you in to signing a contract. This was the oddest experience. The first time they came over, my husband wasn't there. They couldn't wait to leave and acted like I wasted their time. Didn't even take measurements or talk about the job really. They came back two weeks later, stayed 4 hours-kind of a long time I thought. Did great for the the first 3.5 hours in presenting products and developing a solution for our new kitchen. Then the sales pitch..."here's the price, it's only good today, take it or leave it." The price went up $8K if I waited a week. I said I was evaluating other contractors-not really a surprise to anyone that you get multiple quotes-then the hard selling began. As it continued, I became less and less interested in doing business with this company. I felt like I was buying a car--"let me talk to my manager, I have no power to retain the price for a week, it's not how the company works..." the price was a lot higher than expected as well. When it became clear I was waiting for other offers before making a decision, he left-left no written estimate behind. There was also not a detailed estimate of price-which I would have been looking for, it was more of a discussion of financing than the price. I didn't actually get any work done by this company, so I can't speak to quality of work at all. They may do a great job with great products. I did get a quote. Had a nice guy come by and he was on time. However, it was a college student that probably hadn't done any roofing so I didn't get the warm and fuzzy. They tried to get me to watch a video about how great the company was and took about 30 to 45 minutes of my time just selling me. Ultimately, I told the salesman that I wasn't going to watch any video and that he can continue with the quote. End result was a quote that was $35,000 for a new roof. For reference, the first quote I received from a roofing company was $8,000. This isn't just normal variability. I then have had to deal with phone calls every few days until I said that I would never use this company for any work. Signed up for a free estimate from this company at home show. Sent out 3 people at different times to look at our bathroom. They showed up 45-50 minutes late each time and wasted our day!!! Each one did the same thing, looked around, asked questions, and it took forever to get a quote. We were told the 1st person would look around and draw up a design and the 2nd person would give us the quote. Well, it was like there was no communication, each person wasted our time looking at the bathroom and asking the same questions. When we finally cut them short and asked for a quote, it was insanely expensive AND we were buying nicer materials than they offered. They offered old fashioned looking tile and said they didn't have anything close to the contemporary sample we showed them, so we were to provide the tile. They offered us track lighting. Yuck. They said they could do a bath for under $17,000 but the quote was in the mid $20's with us purchasing all the nicer materials we wanted. Crazy!!! read more

I wish I could give this company a NEGATIVE rating. I have never been so disappointed in my life. My mother found this company so that we could have our kitchen remodeled and flooring completed. We were told that the project would take a week to complete, but here we are over 2 months later with half completed and sloppy work. They have left all kinds of junk in our home, appliances that were not hooked up, and wiring that is exposed from the walls. Our contractor Mario Iglesias come to find out is a crook who has not finished working on multiple homes that he started and also took our money. We have contacted the company multiple times with no resolution. The company has told us multiple times that someone will be out to finish the work which has also never happened. It has been 2 weeks since anyone has worked on our home. Despite all of this, they started taking money out of my account for monthly payments. I refuse to pay for something that was not completed. I had quite a different experience with Remodel USA. I was looking to replace my roof and signed up at my county fair for an estimate. There were some issues with scheduling the initial appointment but when the salesman came out he was professional and answered all my questions. As with all contractors there was some high pressure sales tactics but the price was reasonable and I was very impressed with the roofing system and the explanation of it. The salesman and office staff were very accommodating and helpful while completing the financing paperwork. The foreman of the job kept me informed of the install date and the crew that came out to do the work were very thorough completing the job in a timely matter. I was very impressed that the crew cleaned up the site, I have not found one nail. The original roof was installed by CRM Construction from Calvert County and I was cleaning up the yard for years after they left. Once the roof was installed it also helped the performance of my heat pump adding to the isolative value of the house. Other than a few bumps I was overall satisfied and even have recommended them to my friends. read more

A company like this that starts the relationship like this can not be trusted to remodel anything in your home! Do not even call. If you made the mistake and did call them and they run your credit (which they will), write a letter and make a formal complaint to Remodel USA's John Cherubin and contact the credit agencies and dispute the fraudulent inquiry for the purpose of removal. Well, this morning I woke up to find my newly remodeled basement (less than one year) flooded. I have TWO sump pumps, just in case, for a back-up. My new wall-to-wall carpet (installed March 2013) is ruined, as well as anything else that was on the floor. Remodel USA installed an Owens-Corning basement finishing system in January 2013 and rewired the entire basement as well. I called a master electrician this morning and found that USA Remodel put BOTH sump pumps on the SAME circuit breaker! What sense does that make? What professional would do that? So in essence, once my circuit broke (I am assuming because both sump pumps came on because of the constant rain in the last 2-3 days) I no longer had ANY sump pump in service. The doors to the sump pump closets as well as the door to the furnace room are warped. peeling and water-damaged. i wonder how that much damage could have occurred in less than 8 hours? When Remodel USA was doing the wiring, I had to call the electricians back twice, once for defective receptacles and once for installing an outdoors light fixture in my inside stairwell so I am not surprised to learn about the wiring of both sump pumps to the same circuit breaker. I intend to pursue this matter civilly through small claims court to recoup any losses I incur on my ruined carpet and the ruined doors. As much time and effort as Remodel USA spent coercing me to sign a contract to have the basement finished, I would expect at minimum that they would perform their work in a professional manner - I obviously was mistaken. I will NEVER, EVER use their services again so Remodel USA agents can be on notice to stop calling me asking about when my "next project" will be (mind you, I am not even a year into paying for this project) from 301 633-3000 because any future projects will not be through this company. read more

Remodel USA has called our home numerous times from the 301-333-6000 phone number. I advised them every time that our son is a contractor and to please take us off their calling list and they still call. They are very rude when they call. They really need to take a look at their customer service reps. I have worked in Human Resources and customer service all my life and would never settled for a staff like Remodel USA has! read more

I visited this company's booth at the county fair. When I look at the display, the sales approach me and ask for signed up information regarding retaining wall. Within a few days this company started calling my phone either not leaving messages or just disconnect the phone. Two years pasted, the nightmare still not over. This company keeping calling me periodically disregard that I already expressed many times that I won't have business with them. Whoever the company owner is, I just want to tell you that your business has NO integrity and there is no way that you will get my business. read more

Don't use them. They don't adhere to timelines, try to change product stating other product is backordered. Sales team claims they were BBB accredited and after signing on the dotted line I learned they had an F rating. Customer service is the worse. Can't talk to anyone in authority and right now I am out several thousand dollars and the project still is not started. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Hi, I had the worst experience with these people, they first sold a project that was done by contractors not knowing what I PURCHASE. a job that I was told would take 7-10 days went on for 3 months, which is still not done correctly, they made promises they did not keep, contactor brought his family with him daily to work, extremely unprofessional, over priced, told by the contractor they sent out I was over charged by $5000, he could have done job for 1ess, Keep away from this company, my worst mistake ever, if they come to your house do not open the door read more
