Post-baby number 2... the hair started falling out again, and had not stopped. I literally thought I was going to go bald. It was falling out in clumps. Then I desperately went to the first colorist and she made my hair look worst. There was so much baby hair, she just made me super self conscious about my hair. Cut to desperately looking for someone to make my hair look semi-normal. This is where Chayenne comes in. I booked her online, super easy, got confirmations via email and text, and voila I was scheduled to see her. She works in a very cool compartmentalized building for salon professionals. It's covid friendly and super clean. Clients wait outside till their hair professional comes to get them. Unfortunately, I had to make two appointments because the online system wouldn't let me make a color and extension appointment at the same time. It actually worked out because the color she originally did I wasn't thrilled about but she fixed it immediately in the second appointment and didn't even bat an eye about it. She's super friendly! Has a fridge full of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Her place is super clean and inviting. Second appointment she worked fast to get my extensions in. I am beyond thrilled with my results. Hair plays such a big role in a woman's confidence.

The woman who answered was so kind and welcoming. I didn't get her name, but she referred me to Maria and even let me know Maria would be leaving soon--but she was willing to wait for me. Maria went above and beyond. She waited for me, fixed my hair beautifully, and had me in and out in less than an hour. She was professional, talented, and made the entire experience stress-free. Great customer service is hard to find these days, and Hartz & West Salon truly delivered. I think I've found my new salon! I explained exactly what I wanted, and showed her my picture of the previous highlight I had done 2 years ago. it should have been a straightforward appointment. Unfortunately, the results were extremely disappointing. The entire top section of my hair turned orange, and there were no visible highlights at all. I left the salon shocked and upset because the outcome was completely different from what I had requested. Instead of subtle highlights, the whole top of my hair was one orange color. What made the experience even more frustrating was the way my concerns were handled afterward. When I contacted the manager to discuss the outcome, I was met with a condescending attitude. Rather than listening to my concerns and trying to find a solution, the conversation quickly turned argumentative. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience left me questioning the level of training and professionalism at this salon. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this establishment to others. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in both customer service and basic hair-coloring skills.
