The smell of vintage and well-loved books is a magical thing. Most of the books I picked up were reasonably price and in great condition. The owner (maybe?) was welcoming, helpful, and ready to answer questions about the shop (and cats). Such a quaint and beautiful environment to wander about and find a book (or more) that supports the community. Also, support local, independent bookshops. So much of a recommend!

What it lacks for in size, it makes up for in curation. These booksellers know the Bay View audience and have thoughtfully handpicked their stock to suit. I noticed that they have a few bookclubs--I can't remember all of them but there is one that focuses on books about wine. So, if you're looking to learn more about wine, you may have found your spot. They have a nice selection of social justice books and have a solid supply of graphic novels as well. For myself, I was able to pick up a collection of short stores while I was in. What a gem of a spot! Get to it!

When I walked in, though, the in-store experience felt a bit different and on the emptier side. The two employees at the front didn't seem very welcoming and gave off a slightly annoyed vibe. When I asked about the Pokémon cards, they seemed confused about what I was referring to until I mentioned I had called earlier and spoken to someone. They checked with their coworker, who clarified which ones he had told me about. I asked to see the packs they had behind the counter, and the interaction still felt a little tense. That said, I was able to grab the two packs, which ended up being the perfect gift for my cousin, so mission accomplished. Overall, they had what I needed, and I appreciate that the phone service was helpful. I'd probably come back if I really needed something specific, and I'm curious to explore more of what they carry. I found these Marketside Pumpkin Blondies at Walmart. Each square is comprised of cream cheese filling sandwiched between two pumpkin-spiced blondies. Cream cheese icing and chocolate chips top off each blondie as well. First off, these blondies are super thick and fantastically chewy. The flavor was primarily pumpkin, very mild spice, with a touch of sweet cream cheese. I expected more flavor from the cream cheese as it is both on top and used as a filling, but the pumpkin flavor stole the show. Almost on-existent in terms of flavor were the chocolate chips. I didn't think the chocolate chips did much and if I might make a suggestion white chocolate chips would go better with pumpkin. I kind of felt like I was eating the puree part of a pumpkin pie (the best part), only much denser and with cream cheese. A pack of four will put you back $5 and 460 calories per square (so watch it or you might end up as round as a pumpkin). This is one of my favorite new pumpkin dessert finds this year. The whole area around it is a shopping smorgasbord so it makes sense to have one here. I was confused when I parked because it didn't look like a modern super Walmart because it had one entry/exit door in the middle. It didn't look like a Walmart market either because it was too big for that but too small for a super. I watched Walmart close the small stores in favor of the super/market so what is this. As I walked in it looked like a smaller super Walmart with groceries, toys, clothes, automotive, electronics, dvds, video games, pets, home etc etc. I was able to find everything that I wanted and then some so I'm good with that. None of the restaurants, eye stores etc like the bigger ones and I didn't see a deli or hot table for take home cooked food. When it was time to check out it reminded me of Target with a small line of registers and 75% closed so pick the long line that might get you out faster while aholes cut in front of you with no shame at all because they didn't have a cart. I personally didn't like this Walmart since it seemed like the kind of store that they were trying get away from and it's not that old looking. I don't think that I would use this Walmart again when there is some better locations, yah I'm no fan of this store.

I disagree wholeheartedly with the person who had a negative comment about packing and shipping. I have seen what they do so read the information / listing on ebay as most of it is used and/or listed "for repairs" - totally honest and forthwith information!! Well for starters, how about not listing an item as VG+ when there's a plethora of creases along…read morethe top edge and a literal hole in the back of it. Or, how about not referring to those creases and hole(s) as "minor cosmetic issues". Or, how about not listing it for over $30 above the average sale price on Discogs when the average piece sold at that price is practically in mint condition, if not still sealed, while your copy is opened, used extensively, clearly mistreated by either it's original owner or by your staff, and has unwanted tape applied by your staff on it to "fix the problem". Or, how about not making the buyer pay for shipping to ship a defective product back to your store. And if none of your staff is able to utilize any of my recommendations, how about at the very least, you and your staff not refer to collectors or hobbyists as "not-normal people with crippling OCD issues". That would be a good place to start. However, after talking with your staff on the phone recently, it's crystal clear that neither your staff nor your company cares at all about the consumer. I'm sure of it, that your staff and owner have the mindset of "there's always another sucker out there". Now, as a collector, I always read every detail about a listing just to be clear on what my expectations should be, however, after reading this description, not only am I shocked at how much the condition of the piece is downplayed, I'm utterly appalled at the hate speech used in the listing description. First, as a "limited" music store, I expect all of your staff to be more "OCD" than I, since you know it's so limited (your inventory that is) according to your namesake. Second, I expect the descriptions of your items to be thoroughly detailed without a hint of any of your staff being subjective when preparing an item to be listed. Third, I expect your staff to not participate in hate speech (the last line of your listing description, if you were still unaware of what I was referring to). Fourth, I expect that when a customer like myself needs to return an item because it's clearly not in the condition described in your listing, that you and your staff do the right thing instead of making the customer spend more money just to not have the item they bought from your store, and that a replacement or full refund (including the cost for shipping the item back to your store) be issued in a professional and courteous manner. And finally, if you and your staff are completely unwilling to make any of the changes I've suggested, then you just remove the listing altogether instead of trying to scam the next hardworking customer out of every dollar they have just so you can make a quick buck. If I could give a rating less than 1-star then I would. From this point going forward, I will NEVER place a single purchase on any item from this store for as long as I shall live. Oh and word is traveling fast around the "OCD" collecting community that your store over prices your product substantially, doesn't accurately describe the condition of your product and even downplays the severity of the damage caused, and refuses to try and make amends when an issue arises. I hope every single person who wants to purchase any item from your store, reads my review and chooses wisely and shops elsewhere. I hope the community in Wisconsin isn't similar to you and your staff, because if they are, then I'll be avoiding Wisconsin in its entirety. I've attached a screenshot I took from the current listing of ONE of the damaged items being listed on Discogs. For the tentative consumer reading my review, please choose to shop elsewhere. There are many other businesses that I would much rather purchase from and so should you. Also, for the store employee reading this review, please do not respond asking for forgiveness and to be given a second chance at rectifying the situation. Your staff has made it abundantly clear that an amenable solution will not be sought out by you, your staff, or your store in general. Thank you.
