I've been here several times and the food is delicious! Pizzas are good authentic Italian style, cheeses like mozzarella di bufala are delicious and cocktails are great. That's why I'm giving 3 stars. However, I wouldn't recommend taking pizza to go...it doesn't travel well and is fairly expensive for the portion you get. Less stars for poor service and consistently hectic dining atmosphere. The place is always so jammed with tables and people that you can hardly maneuver through to even get to the host podium. Maybe less tables sat at one time? A longer wait time surely beats a constantly overly crowded restaurant. We stopped in on Father's Day with our two children under two and were sat at a four top near the front windows. We asked the hostess upon seating us for a high chair for our toddler. She never returned so I got up to ask another busser who pointed me to where the high chairs are kept in the hallway. I didn't see any so on my way back, I ran into a manager and asked him. He said he'd bring us one. As I got back to our table, the four top next to us got sat with a family with their toddler who also asked for a high chair. We audibly heard their server tell them there were no high chairs available and best he could do was a booster. They then received the last booster available in the restaurant he told them as he dropped it off. No one ever came back to say a word to us or bring us anything for our toddler to sit in. We just ended up leaving. Seating people without high chairs or boosters for their young children is like putting customers as table with no chairs and expecting that to be ok. Also, it should be the hosts' job to ensure each table is sat to completion (high chairs, menus, silverware etc) before proceeding to the next table. That's just basic restaurant management. Hopefully they get a better handle on the restaurant's flow on busy days (better host service, more high chairs/boosters for kids, less crowded seating.) read more

I liked: Quattro Stagioni Black Truffle The Quattro Stagioni is a pizza folded into four sections with prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato sauce, and ricotta. It's an interesting shape that makes it stand out right away. Flavor-wise it's tasty and the ingredients feel fresh, though the ricotta is pretty strong and I wish there was a bit more red sauce overall. The arugula on top oddly makes the whole thing feel almost healthy. Solid pizza but not one I'm rushing back for. The Black Truffle pizza is decent but very oily. The truffle flavor also isn't very pronounced, which is a bit disappointing considering it's the main selling point. It's fine as a pizza, just not particularly memorable. The interior feels like a very typical pizzeria setup and the service is pretty average. They mostly left us alone throughout the meal, which isn't bad but also didn't feel especially attentive. The overall experience really leans into the "authentic Italian pizzeria" vibe, and the pricing definitely reflects that. Finally tried this place. Love wood fired pizzas. Service was very attentive. The restaurant is pretty large to accommodate. We only had to wait 20 min on a Friday evening at 8pm. The pizzas are very unique. There were too many options to choose from which made it hard! We opted for the Calzone and the Vespi. The calzone was the most unique version I've ever seen. Normally it's folded in half like a giant hand pie. This one was in the shape of a pizza and a light sauce on top. The toppings were in center. My vespi came with no sauce and I substituted goat cheese for ricotta. It was garlicky and delicious. I would say I couldn't taste the hot honey it said it had. But it was so different not having sauce as the base layer. It brought out all the flavors of the toppings more. Can we talk about the spumoni bomba!! MUST!!! It's so so good!! I don't believe they take reservations for small parties. For phone orders, super convenient for to-go! Pizzas were made within 30min, you stop by at the estimated pickup time, pay, and BAM they have it ready to go. Our favorite pizzas are Vespa (for goat cheese lovers) & Margherita. Ingredients are SO fresh and the tomato sauce is one of the best I've ever had (excluding Italy lol). Also, just get the Nutellamisu. It's worth your cheat day. This is one of my favorite places for cannoli in Orange Country. I'd love to try some other places that have cannoli. Third time here and it's been great every single time. Weekdays are usually quiet, but weekends get packed, so expect a wait if you come for dinner. They don't take reservations. The restaurant is large, lively, and has a warm casual Italian feel with plenty of tables and a few TVs. I've tried several of their pizzas, but my favorites are the Funghi e Salsiccia and Vesuvio. The Vesuvio has a bold smoky flavor, while the Funghi e Salsiccia is nicely balanced and full of flavor. Their salads are also a hit and very generous--one salad easily fed five of us along with our pizzas. I also tried the bruschetta for the first time, but nothing to really rave about except the bread itself was pretty good. Service is always friendly and attentive, and even though food can take a little time, it's understandable since the pizzas are freshly made. There's a small parking lot in the back that fills up quickly, but there's usually street parking nearby. My wife is gluten free, dairy free and she says their crust is the best around! We can't find another place that has gluten feee crust like Fuoco. I first went here before I was on yelp in 2019 and have been telling/sending everyone here. With multiple parking lots around, there should be plenty of parking. The service is always top notch! The ambiance is elevated pizza spot. They also have a nice bar in the back. It's awesome that everyone can see the Stefano Ferrara, while they are cooking! Fuoco's is Certified Napoletana! They have to follow the rules from Naples! 00 Flour for double, the olive oil, the tomatoes, the cheese! The dough ends up being thin with fluffy crust. All with a salty, Smokey, woody, chewy bite! The cheese is beautiful, all of them. Fresh when needed and aged when needed. Quattro Formaggi is my Favorite, love that strong, tangy, semi stinky, rich, Gorgonzola, on it. I love to have San Pellegrino sodas with pizza, delicious. After I had a tiramisu with a cappuccino. The tiramisu was fluffy, sweet, rich, creamy, roasted coffee, chocolatey deliciousness. Heaven! The cappuccino was delicious, would've liked a little more richness, plus, they need to have some organic raw sugar, as an option. I was looking for the closest place to my inlaws that would have this kind of pizza assuming I would have to go to Angelina's in Irvine and found Fuoco much closer by. There are only 15 TOTAL Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana certified pizza places in all of California and only 3 in Socal. They certify the ingredients, equipment, and finished result is up to standards and qualified as a "true neopolitan" style pizza. I picked up my orders from the back and saw stacks of caputo flour bags and I'm sure they had equivalent sized portions of San Marzano tomatoes hidden in the kitchen. Margherita: Went with a classic. Puffy and chewy crust with the distinct char marks from a high-temp brick oven. Funghi E Saliccia: Tomato sauce, mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, Italian sausage, basil. My kids favorite, totally devoured and destroyed. Quattro Salumi: Tomato sauce, mozzarella, salame, sausage, prosciutto cotto, prosciutto crudo, basil, extra virgin olive oil. In-laws loved this one. Rucolina Salad: Baby arugula, artichoke, shaved parmigiano, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice. Very large portion and able to easily split it with 4 adults and 2 children and still have leftoevers. I would say that the crust is much thicker than other Neopolitan style pizza we've had at "certified" places in the US, Japan, and Italy. I FINALLLYYYY got to try this place last night and it definitely lived up to my expectations and more. I really wanted to make it a point to come on a Monday to take advantage of their $5 margherita special (purchase any pizza at regular price and get a margherita for $5). The crust was just lightly kissed with char, a balanced and flavorful tomato sauce, the richness from the meats, all creating the perfect bite every time. The only minor thing I'd say is that the quattro salumi was a bit too salty for me at times. Yes, I understand that cured meats are meant to be salty, but it was just a bit too salt forward at times.
