Nice spot in the camp. Love the vibe and really nice service. As for the food, we got an arancini and the fennel sausage pizza. The arancini was okay. I wasn't the biggest fan. The texture on the outside was nice, but the flavor of the inside didn't really have much, and a little bit boring. The sauce is really necessary to make it work. As for the pizza, off the rip it looks really good. I love the crust and the texture again, great under carriage. I do feel the crust and toppings aren't distributed well, where one slice has a huge section of crust and like two sausages, while another one would be the perfect slice with a filled pizza and good proportions. So experience really varies which slice you get. I like the freshness from the sauce and you can tell the ingredients are thoughtful and tasty, just needs to be more consistent.

We had just got done with a South Coast shopping trip and really wanted something to eat. I had heard about Folks a while back and decided this was our time to finally try it. I obviously forgot reading about long wait times but the camp had enough to keep us busy as we waited. Our wait actually flew by and we decided to order the bread and butter, heirloom tomatoes and two pizzas. EVERYTHING was delicious! The bread at the beginning had the perfect texture and that butter was I was so full by the time the pizza came but it came out piping hot and so yummy. This was definitely worth the wait, I'll definitely come back.

Came here with a group of six for an outdoor dinner on the patio. Finding a spot in this plaza is notoriously tough, and booking a reservation in advance is an absolute must for larger parties. The food easily lived up to the hype. The pepperoni pizza had a fantastic, airy crust with great blistered char around the edges, topped with crispy, cupped pepperonis holding just the right amount of oil and finished with fresh basil. The Caesar salad came in a huge portion, tossed in a creamy, well-balanced dressing and smothered in toasted breadcrumbs and grated cheese that added a great crunch to every bite. Top-tier crust and solid portions make this an easy recommendation, just give yourself plenty of time to find parking. Pro Tip: Lock in your reservation online well in advance and plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to deal with the parking lot.

I am extremely disappointed. Why did we have to wait 3 hours to get seated and then another full hour to receive our food? Listen, I understand that it was busy & kitchen staff can only do so much, but that still doesn't take away that the server was very snappy and having to wait so much time. They also gave us inaccurate sitting times, "it'll be an hour wait" it'll be an extra 20 and so on and so on, making it 3 hours !? I asked questions about the menu and she just cut me off and said "nothing is customizable". We also tried to order more food and shes like "everything is family sized, so you don't need more" What they're really trying to do, is get you to eat in 5 minutes and get you out! Girl, we waited 3-4 HOURS to eat and you wanna rush us out??? Like absolutely WHAT. The wings were my favorite part of everything. They were so tasty and you do get a good amount. The pizza was good as well, I loved the crust, just a bit too burned. We also sat next to the window where you can watch the cooks and they looked so mad and annoyed, like you do know people can watch you work. I will certainly never wait 3-4 HOURS again. But I would order it for takeout. Maybe that'll be a bit quicker? The vibe, it's really small. Really small inside and they even have a table next to the restroom, not pleasant. And lastly, no same day reservations...? I hope things change around here cause it's for sure not cheap! But I can see the quality. Again not for the amount of time we waited.

No wait but we ended up getting sat outside despite there being tables inside of the restaurant. I'm assuming that is for reservations. The fish sauce chicken wings are okay but it is a pretty large portion for what you are paying for. The pizza is good but nothing out of the ordinary.

The food was delicious as always, and the staff has always been nice, friendly, and welcoming. However, during our visit yesterday, we were disappointed with our experience. Our waitress got our order wrong, and she never wrote anything down. We ordered both dine-in and takeout, and unfortunately, the takeout order was incorrect. When we told her that this was not what we had ordered, both my husband and I were surprised and frustrated because we clearly remembered what we had requested. I understand that mistakes can happen, but not writing down the order made this situation especially frustrating. We drive about 45 minutes to come here because we really enjoy the food and have always had a good experience. Unfortunately, this visit made me question whether it's worth making the drive back. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration because we would really like to continue being customers.

Dropped by while we were in the neighborhood. 45 minute wait for a party of 2 at around 6:30 on a Wednesday evening. The crust/dough here is solid. Lots of flavor and crisp textures. I only wish they would place a rack between the pizza and platter so it doesn't sog out. Sausage and Market pizzas were our choices tonight. Loved the house made fennel sausage with aged mozz and basil. The Market is seasonal with fresh corn, Jimmy Nardellos and their bianco base. Lots of fresh/sweet pops of corn in each bite. Shout out to the fries that are also on the menu. Fried perfect and seasoned just right. Hints of garlic and herbs with a fun mustard aioli and ketchup on the side. Picked up their basque cheesecake to go. I declined the dulce de leche drizzle. I wish it was more burnt, but I happy to say that it did ooze slightly at room temperature.

I would recommend making a reservation in advanced as this place does get super packed, even on a weekday. Their oven does hold about 8 pizzas, so there will be an estimated wait time given to you by the waiter/waitress. Our wait time was about 30-40 minutes. Over the appetizers were decent, the lemon juice is strong on Caesar salad so it is more on the acidic side. I liked it tho. The pizzas were really good - it has a crunchy crust and thin dough. It was a good one time experience!

food: it was okay. i saw the high rating and expected a bit more, but the pizza was mainly crust and the crust tasted burnt. the chicken wings were so interesting, i can't describe. i will say their portions are ginormous service: interesting... we got sat and a server introduced themselves, saying they'd be right back and never came back? and then another server came and introduced herself, took our order, and while we were eating another server took over? it's like they rotate servers, but everyone was extremely friendly! took a while to take our order and food to come out, but other than that everything was good! ambiance: i would recommend making a reservation as it does get pretty busy. they have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a high top outside. very casual

Been wanting to come here for quite a while and it did not disappoint. Only wish we came sooner. Decided to sit in for the Caesar salad and take home the pizza for later. Chewy was our pleasant waiter, very friendly and attentive. Fresh cold water when we sat down and a nice short easy menu to peruse and decide from. No frills, no uneasy decisions. Simple greatness is all that's needed. I'm guessing every table gets the Caesar salad, which was a botttomless pile of fresh lettuce, tons of delicately grated smoothe Parmesan cheese, delicate crumbles of breadcrumbs, with an absolutely decadent Caesar dressing - pleasantly spread throughout the whole entire plate of goodness. Next time I will try the fresh loaf of bread sliced thick with a bowl of cherry tomatoes. Whoa that looked great. Every plate that walked by us whispered 'try me' next time!! Saved the salami Calabrese pizza for home directions on the box which provided the most perfect texture for a reheated pizza we've ever had. Delightful! The pizza. The crust. I can't even believe a whole table while we were eating there skipped the crust of the whole pie. You can't! That's a sin! Greatest sourdough pizza, dare I say delicate but hearty? Perfectly crisp yet soft where it's necessary. I can't wait to try more flavors. Such an adorable place at 'the Camp' -quaint yet plenty of seating outside too for a larger party. It's all you need for a perfect slice of heaven! Thank you Folks! We will definitely be back!

    Free Range Chicken Wings
    Daniel B.

Huge fan of this place. We tried the fennel sausage pizza, mushroom pizza, and the free range chicken wings. They use sourdough for the pizza and that immediate caught my attention for the uniqueness. That, and the fact there's a line outside almost every day. The pizzas are also large at 14 inches and are cut at six pieces each. The wings had an immediate strong smell from the Italian fish sauce but they were amazing. We ended up devouring everything. The place itself is rather small but there's plenty of seating, especially outside. The server was also very kind and attentive and helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend getting a reservation in advance or else you'll be waiting for a while. When we arrived in time for our reservation, we got sat almost immediately. Also, parking is extremely tricky in this area so either arrive early go to valet to make it easy. After eating, it's fun to walk around the area to see the stores and breweries.

Good BUT so salty !! Idk if it was just the day we went. The chicken wings is coated in a yummy fish sauce but it was pretty salty. The pizza has a really good crust. Not sure if it was the pepperoni or the cheese but it was also very salty . Very busy on a Saturday afternoon so we opted to do take out! Took about 30 mins.

Pepperoni (feeds 2-3) I added mushrooms to mine, unfortunately you cannot do half if you wanted only half pepperoni but it's all worth it !

Food is always a 10/10 Keeping it short and simple because it's just what it is. Pricey, but you get quality !

Is this considered to be Neapolitan pizza, or it's slightly different in some way? I noticed that the Folks website does not mention Neapolitan, so I think it must not be fully Neapolitan, but it does look like it.

This is the closest you'll get to neapolitan pizza without flying to Napoli.

Any update on vegan options? I see the question asked a lot and no solid answers.
