Fast forward 10 months and about 200 miles later, my RV was parked at a gliderport in Midlothian, when a thunderstorm with 25 knot wind gusts blew 2/3rd of the roof completely off. On contacting MHSRV, their Service Manager told me that they only warranty their work for 90 days! Needless to say, I did not take the motorhome back to them so that they could charge me another $19,100 to do another sub-par job. The shop I did end up taking it to, Quality RV Solutions, also in Alvarado, upon disassembly of the damaged roof, discovered that MHSRV had simply put the roof they installed over the top of the old roof, without any bonding between the two roofs, nor between the 'Luan' (thin plywood sublayer) and the fiberglass cap. Winnebago specifies the use of 'Red Glue' (Dorus S 563 Adhesive) to bond the fiberglass to the Luan. What MHSRV apparently did instead was pour ordinary rubber contact cement on top the Luan and put the fiberglass down on top of it; instead of applying it onto both sides, allowing it to dry, then pressing them together - as contact cement directions call for. All that was holding the 'new' roof on was screws and a bead of RTV around the periphery; this is why it blew off in a mere 25 knot breeze. I'm glad this didn't happen out on the highway at 75 mph with cars following me. Motor Home Specialists talked a good game, took their sweet time and charged handsomely for their work; sadly it was incompetently done and when it failed they would not stand behind it. I recommend staying well clear of Motor Home Specialists; I will be taking them to court.

We had a horrific time towing our Montana 5th wheel and went through three different "certified…read moretechnicians" to fix an issue with our SuperGlide hitch--none of whom were any help. Sadly, those previous techs just cost us hundreds of dollars for nothing. After two days of serious towing struggles, we finally turned to the service department at Holiday World, and they were a breath of fresh air. Sam, the Service Department Manager, was sincerely caring about our concerns, but he went way beyond that. He made sure our hitch was fixed properly and permanently so we could feel safe on the road again. He even came over after hours (no kidding!) with his son to make sure everything was completely squared away. This is hands-down the best service we have ever received. Even though there is a Montana service center (Ron Hoover) much closer to us in Georgetown, we will happily make the trip up to Alvarado from now on. It is well worth the drive to know the job is being done right by skilled, genuinely caring professionals.

Had a very positive experience at this Holiday World in Alvarado. Was in the market to upgrade a…read moretravel trailer. Swung by here on a whim to see what they had and glad we did. The day we stopped by this location was short handed because of a RV show in Dallas. Went out of their way to find someone to help us and made sure we had an employee with us to show what we had come in for. It was a great team effort for those that were there. First to help was Amanda the Service Mgr which was nice because could answer more technical and maintenance type questions. When she had to take care of something in maint., Franny who is in sales showed up to show us rest of what we came to look at. At one point a service tech was called out to answer a question. Settled on a used 5th wheel which was in good shape but had a few things we wanted fixed and they even noticed a few items. Made a detailed list of items and had a call after we left for any clarifications, anything we thought of later or may have left off the list. Had grandkids with us on one visit back to look at camper again and start the deal in progress. Sheila did an awesome job of helping keep the gkids occupied by coloring with them so wife and I could devote time to taking care of business. Spoke with a tech and several others in service and parts about a hitch. Went through several and with their information was able to make the best decision for us. Ramon in finance was very nice and enjoyed talking with him while finishing paperwork. Franny was with us through the delivery process and went through everything on the list to make sure was done to our liking. Got a good walk through with a tech who was able to explain things about the camper and answer questions. Tech who installed the hitch came out went through the process of hooking up the camper and explained well how to unhook. All during this time Franny had cleaner and a towel and was touching up a few things and made the camper sparkle like a new one. To me, this Holiday World location has a great team that works together and keeps the customer in mind. This is our fourth camper and wished we had come here for the 3 previous ones because Holiday World was that much better of an experience. When time to get another one hope that Franny is still there as well as the rest of the team. Don't typically give 5 stars unless absolutely deserve it and for my experience with Holiday World they earned and deserve it.

To say we are beyond disgusted with this place is an understatement. We expected issues with a used camper. but within the first 24 mins? ridiculous. this has been issued after issue. We came from 14 hours. they told us they would take care of the hitch being put in, then when we got here they acted like they had no idea what we were talking about, but did end up covering all but $200. I would NEVER EVER recommend buying from here.

When we dropped it off we told them Dometic was sending us the part that was causing the communication error, there should have been no question it was there for warranty work. We had agreed to pay a diagnostic fee if necessary. We were never called with a diagnosis. The call we received was your rv is working (not properly) but working and you owe $8?? almost $900. We had an ac that was not recognizing our 3rd zone after replacing the zone 1 ac unit. Dometic, the maker of our units, sent us there for warranty repair service. Explore USA did not approach our issue as a warranty repair. After speaking to Dometic I was told Explore USA decided it wouldn't be covered under warranty so they didn't even try. My husband is a technician for another company and could have fixed the issue himself but didn't want to void the warranty so did as the manufacturer instructed. We were told the issue was the unit was wired wrong and we had a bad thermostat. Pictures were taken of the old unit wiring before it was removed to make sure it was wired back correctly. We feel that was a complete lie due to the fact before we took it to Explore USA the ac was working from the current thermostat. The issue was a communication error to the 3 zone. Do not use this service center unless you are good with spending your money without permission! And them holding your property hostage till you pay their fees!

She told us we would have to deal with Don and she proceeded to take us inside to meet Don. Don stayed behind an office window and did not even come out to talk with us. When we were waiting to talk to him about the actual price and also about putting our unit on consignment. We needed to know the actual price because the sales lady told us 2 different prices. He instead stayed in his little office and stared out at us and whispered things to the other man in the office. We waited for about 10 AWKWARD minutes as he stared at us and the sales lady kept repeating "there is someone coming to look at that unit Monday". YES, WE KNOW SALES LADY. We understand someone is coming but we couldn't do anything about it when DON wouldn't even come out to talk with us... and instead only told the sales lady it's a good price even though we had not been told a final price. We decided to go across the street to Explore USA (the place the sales lady bathed mouthed and told us DON use to be the manager of previously) and we purchased a unit. I can say that Explore USA made a great move getting DON out of their business. Do not shop at this place and give your hard earned money to people who care and want to treat their customers with respect.
