Used to come here for cupbearer as it was convenient location on way to tennis and home from traveling. I love the interior decoration and the beautiful glass displaying some of their delicious treats. I really like the concept of a bistro/cafe offering healthy choices for lunch. I ordered just a small hot mocha this time to compare the flavor to cupbearer and other surrounding chains. One thing I noticed was I didn't hear the expresso machine while my drink was being prepared, not sure if perhaps she had some extra from another patron, so I'm assuming that may be the case. The flavor is good, better than Starbucks or panera. The cost is higher than cupbearer but right in line with Starbucks, so not a big deal. The flavor still isn't quite as perfect as cupbearer but it's a great attempt and would definitely choose this place over any chains nearby. Great edition to the area :) read more

I have to adjust my rating. I hate doing it but something is off here now. I believe it is under new management. The last 2 times the food quality has dropped and the salads come with prepackaged dressing. The salads were all made from scratch before including the dressing. My son has been begging to try Boba tea. I searched online and found this cafe. We ordered the passion fruit and berry boba tea and the mocha frappe for my older son. They both loved their drinks so much! This cafe is so cute and very clean inside. The two ladies working were very helpful and pleasant. New discovery for us. Nestled in to Lakeland Plaza, next to the Radio Shack. I usually stop at Panera Bread, but wanted to try Rendezvous cafe at a friend's suggestion. My wife and I were not disappointed, and I bet you won't be either. Nice menu for both Breakfast and Lunch. The coffee is outstanding -- WARNING: it will ruin Starbucks for you. Starbuck's Cafe Mocha will taste positively "burnt," once you have the Mocha Latte here. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is good and the food is great! As are the owners! read more

I would've given 4 stars, but here's why I went with 2... my husband and I went in for lunch and each ordered a sandwich. When our sandwiches were brought out to us, we each lifted up the top piece of bread to discover that neither one of us received the correct sandwich. We told a worker who then took the sandwiches from our table, walked back to the kitchen for no more than 5 seconds, then carried the same sandwiches out to the correct table. The germaphobe in me freaked out, and I was on high alert until they brought out our correct order. Unacceptable. If they do this, who knows what other health code violations they break. It's a shame too, as I really enjoyed my chicken pesto sandwich. We won't be returning here anytime soon. read more

Rendezvous Cafe is one of those hidden treasures in the community. They are located in a shopping center and it is not visible from the road. However, it is definitely worth finding because they have really good coffee, easily comparable to Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. The staff that works there are always so nice and make you feel very welcome. Their food is great, it is always cooked thoroughly and their drinks are always made right. I highly recommend taking the drive to Rendezvous Cafe if you can. read more

I was disappointed. My sandwich was great, but my chips were a pile of the crumbs and broken chips from the bottom of the bag. The biggest pieces were 1/4" wide. If I were the owner, I'd be embarrassed to serve a customer that. I'll probably give it another try, but the first impression was not great. read more

Nice, cozy place with generous drink and food menu! Barista was very helpful and knowledgeable of potential food allergies. There are several tables, but unfortunately everything was taken when we arrived. There are two tables out front, but the front isn't nice enough to make you want to hang around. Lots of pavement, trash cans, view of a parking lot. Adding some plants, or other structures to camouflage the not-so-nice aspects would help a lot. Overall the drinks were good and I feel better about supporting an independent local business over Starbucks. I would also suggest they use sustainable cups, lids, and stop serving drinks with plastic straws, but this is something I wish for nearly every place I shop. read more

This is a nice little cafe. It has a small, local cafe vibe and is a nice place to do some work or meet up with a friend. I had a peanut butter mocha latte that was rich and flavorful, and the chicken pesto sandwich was very good. My only complaint is that the service was a little slow, which can probably be explained by the fact they only had 3 people working that I could see. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely eat here again. read more
