Nothing was a good experience here. Customer service: barely any welcome or hello when we walked in. And as a Persian myself I thought there would be a more friendly welcome. I had to ask the lady taking our order "is this place Iranian, she looked at me like I was an alien. Not friendly at all. Had to ask for water, which they gave us cheap plastic Costco bottled water. The lattes were not even hot, they were just warm. The French toast presentation is pretty but legit taste like nothing. The chocolate scone was dry and hard. Visited Cafe Lavande over the winter holidays with a some girlfriends! It was pretty packed when we went so we had to sit outside but they have a covered patio with heaters. It was chilly and the heaters weren't really near us but we could have asked for more to be turned on or moved around. The cafe itself is super cute and very aesthetically decorated. I got the Lotus latte that comes with a biscoff butter and crushed cookie rim. We also got a coffee bibi (cake) that was really yummy too. The drinks took a bit to come out and we had to check in for our dessert but it was crowded so it makes sense. A great spot overall! read more

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, though for larger groups, it's more likely you'll find seating outside. There are fans for keeping away the summer heat and fly fans to keep the food from unwanted pests. You order food at the front, and you take a number to wherever you choose to sit. They'll bring your order to you. Out of the food items my friends and I got, I enjoyed the creamy mushroom omelette and saffron French toast the most, but everything here is good. This is a wonderful cafe for nearly any occasion. The ambiance and decor were perfect, the food was delicious, and the service was great. Although I didn't receive one of the cakes I ordered originally, when I asked they fixed the problem immediately and otherwise was very quick with the food. The Lotus Latte was a fun drink to order, and whatever coats the rim is delectable. The coffee cake went very good with the coffee, and had something crunchy I couldn't place that went perfect with the rest of the cake. The Iced Carmel Latte was also very good. The ambiance was sophisticated and casual at the same time. I felt like a queen eating here, but there were children enjoying themselves too, making the perfect ambiance for everybody! He had the Lahembajin Pideh Style with a hot chocolate, and I had the Shakshouka with a lavender latte. His meal was delicious! This was the first time we have tried Lahembajin Pideh Style and we will have to come back for more. It was the perfect recommendation from the kind lady at the counter. The Middle Eastern coffee scene in Atlanta has been rapidly booming, and it's not hard to see why: who can resist a perfectly spiced latte, fresh pistachio-filled pastries, or a sizzling skillet of beef pideh? We wandered in on a Saturday, sweaty and starving from a badminton match in a stuffy gym, and were instantly enamored. From the cozy decor to the display case filled with beautifully shaped breads, Cafe Lavande feels like a little oasis--equal parts comfort and discovery. To our left, a small nook showcased exotic postcards, art, and household goods. To the right, the café opened into a warm, welcoming space. Chi ordered the Bandari--a Persian spicy beef hot dog, tomato stew--and a scone. I went for the Shakshouka. For drinks, she gave their mocha a shot, and I, in need of a caffeine lifeline, opted for an iced Americano. We grabbed a half-booth table beneath a canopy of hanging roses. The space was cleverly divided by elegant wooden screens, creating structure and a touch of privacy. Persian paintings, woven carpets, and thoughtfully curated decor filled the space. Every detail whispered love, care, and culture. Our drinks arrived quickly, served on elegant trays, followed by the food. The espresso--dark roast, woody, and fragrant--was bold and beautifully balanced. The food didn't disappoint either. In the name of product testing (definitely not because we were curious), we swapped bites. I was blown away by the bold, almost heavy smokiness of the Persian hot dogs; Chi praised the Shakshouka's spice blend. Our only critique? The eggs in both dishes were overcooked, likely forgotten for just a minute too long. We stayed for hours--journaling, sketching, chatting, and sipping our drinks. This place has been on my list for so long, and I finally got around to visit! Even though it opened at 10am, my friend and I grabbed the last open table at 10:30 to meet up for brunch! We both got their signature lotus latte which had lotus biscuit crumbs on the rim of the coffee cup and got oat milk instead of regular milk. The latte was delicious and not sweet but mixing in the lotus biscuit crumbs gave it the perfect sweetness level. We also ordered the saffron French toast and the spinach egg basket to split for breakfast. The spinach egg basket was pretty good but needed a bit more salt for my preference but loved how flaky the pastry was underneath. It was sort of like a deconstructed pastry with a sunny side egg on top. The saffron French toast however definitely stole the show! It was sort flaky and soft on the inside but overall not super sweet. I also loved the fresh berries on top for some additional flavor. Overall, this place is definitely worth the hype with friendly staff and quite an upscale atmosphere! Amazing and unique experience! My friend and I stopped here for brunch on a Saturday and were absolutely blown away by the beautiful interior. The best part is that the food and service matched the excellence of the decor. All ordering is through the front counter and the pastries and baked goods are clearly labeled in the display case. If you plan to eat there, there are booth seating, chairs, and an outdoor space and staff will give you a number to place on the table. We both ordered shakshuka and a baklava cheesecake. The shakshuka came with four pieces of sourdough bread and beautifully presented. We absolutely devoured this! The eggs were perfectly cooked (not too runny but not hard) and the tomato sauce was hearty, flavorful, and had a slight kick to it. It was truly delicious. It's great to have a line, but some of it could be avoided if they had it together. First of all is the empty frame as soon as you come in: people have to navigate around it to try to get to the end of the line and it's hard to see where you have to go. Next is they have mostly big tables in such a tiny place. They do have seating in the back with umbrellas and a fan, but they have a giant table there as well. Third is we only saw one menu floating around and it only has the brunch/cooked items. There is no list of what the pastries and breads are and they are blocked by people, so you have to wait until it's your turn to see what they have and ask questions which takes time. I would've loved to know what some of the items were, but didn't want to keep people waiting longer. Even some of the pastries had labels that didn't tell you what it is. There was only one person taking orders which also was time consuming. As far as food: The San Sebastian cheesecake was very nice and creamy The walnut coffee cake was good (it wasn't what I was expecting) The pineapple coconut cake is light and not too sweet, but fell flat for me The chocolate mousse cake was light and tasty The cream puff was by far the best thing we tried! The saffron French toast and cappuccino are still in question because it's been over 30 minutes and still haven't gotten them. We waited in line for over 30 minutes in line, over 30 minutes for food, not impressed enough with pastries...I'm disgusted! They spend more time making things pretty than having a functional cafe. Update: the cappuccino (looked like it's been sitting around...we didn't touch it before picture) and French toast came after waiting 45 minutes. They were ok, but wouldn't get again. read more

This place is a delight. Went this morning and the service was on point as usual. We ordered the creamy mushroom omelette & the gateau basque .. WOW!! My teenager exclaimed that the egg dish has been added to her "favorite dish" list which means that it was fantastic. She likes good food. If you love mushrooms, you'll love this. Not a typical omelette but more a cheesy and mushroom-y egg bake that is great. Will be back & will be ordering this again.
