No new dishes. it seems that if there is a chef there they would want to see how some new dishes would do. the bread is awful. I love bread but pass it up. the prime rib is tasteless 90% of the time. Let's put things in perspective: In many Chicago restaurants the cost of a 3-course meal plus tax & tip commonly exceeds $32. We visited on a Wednesday, when the "Bottomless All American Dinner" was featured. Nuttin' fancy; prime rib and shellfish are not served on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Apart from that, the food selection is varied and bountiful. I was particularly impressed with the salad bar. In terms of variety and quality, this was one of the better ones I've indulged in at a casino. It includes a selection of breads and charcuterie. Rather than stoke up on large portions, I sampled about a dozen different dishes at the various entrée stations. The tri-tip steak, carved medium-rare in thick slabs, was a worthy substitute for the prime rib. Other standouts included several Asian dishes, BBQ ribs, pulled BBQ chicken, stuffed cabbage rolls, fried catfish, and pizza. Everything tasted freshly prepared, but of course we dined shortly after the buffet had opened for lunch. The only item I thought was lacking in flavor was the pot roast. Inventive and well-prepared desserts include a generous selection of sugar-free items. Even the most finicky eater in our group was as pleased as pie. An attentive server brought our beverages and promptly cleared away used dishes. The dining and buffet areas are spacious and attractive, and each item is clearly labeled. Four wins Casino to me is the best casino I've ever been to and I love it even more because they have the buffet and to me it is one remarkable buffet. From the salads to the appetizers to the variety of food, my favorite of course is the prime rib oh, that is just so delicious. This buffet reminded me of the buffet cousin Eddie takes Clarke to in Vegas Vacation. The worst meal I have ever had and it was over $50 pp! The meat was all an odd grey color, chicken looked artificial, and the rest of the food was dried out and disgusting. I did not know a person could make food this bad. The international section had an array of dried chicken, battered "shrimp," consisting of just batter, and a host of other items that we could not identify. On to the meat station, where all of the meat is varying shades of grey and dry from being pre cut. They have a state of the art system where they take the meat from a warmer in the back and transfer it to another warmer in the front, before dousing it in sauce so you can't see how old it is. The Asian station was my favorite. The "chicken" dishes included hollow chicken made entirely out of breading. There are a variety of fried items with no nutritious content whatsoever. The best part is all of the pesticide and dyed sauces they encourage you to smear over all of the items. Do not spend $50 to eat here. Do not even spend $10 to eat her. Dined at the Seafood and Prime Rib buffet on Thursday two weeks ago and can not honestly say one bad thing! I was hesitant after reading all the negative reviews. I am a vegetarian of 50 years and found many delicious options! My sister enjoyed the huge crab legs, the jumbo shrimp and the crab salad! The desserts were amazing. We especially enjoyed the Coconut Cream pie and the Key lime pie. and the Gelato. We definitely plan on returning very soon! We stayed two nights at the hotel and the room was great. My boyfriend and I went to the Buffet at New Buffalo, in Michigan for his mother's birthday. For a Saturday, It wasn't busy! The waiter was nice and polite but didn't smile. We all wanted ribs, but the only thing in the pan were bones. When I asked the carver if they had any more he was at a loss of words, mumbled, and didn't know what to say then finally said let me go check. 20 minutes later he brought out 1 slab of ribs cut in pieces. It was cold! The eggplant parmesan was overcooked, the desserts were empty and it was 6pm in the afternoon! I asked if they are getting ready to close. The employee said no, we are just busy. I've been here multiple times and the price has increased by almost double since the first time I was here. Up from $27 to $47 over the course of 10 years.. ($2 avg increase per year). Price is getting very high up there. Environment and Service: We were seated after waiting in line for about 5-10 minutes (got here 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon) at a table. When we left, the line was probably 1-1 1/2 hour wait so plan accordingly if you're hungry. Server was very attentive to refill drinks and take plates as we ate throughout the service. Food: Crab Legs, Oysters, Shrimp, Prime Rib and Deserts. If you're a lover of all of these, the food for the price is completely worth it. Prime rib was defaulted to a medium cook it seemed, still plenty juicy and comes with au jus. Both cocktail and cooked shrimp were massive and delicious. Crab legs were seasoned slightly with salt and we're very easy to break apart. Had about 15 oysters and only one of them was a little gritty, probably was stacked on top of another shell in its lifetime. No complaints there. One of the Coke drinks that were ordered was flat but the other drinks were fine. Tea is just packets that you brew yourself at the table. For desert we had the strawberries dipped in the chocolate fountain, chocolate mouse cake, creme brulee, banana/strawberry ice cream and caramel chocolate tart. All of them were delicious. If you're going for the specialty items mentioned, definitely worth the trip (We drove 2 hours to get here) especially if you're here to gamble as well. The first time was pretty horrible - food was dried out on the edges since they don't really turn food over until it's all gone. Employees were nowhere to be seen at the carving station. Long line wait, until you're seated where it's fairly empty, I guess it's kind of worth the wait in line to not have to wait at the buffet. The prime rib is always good, as well as the unseasoned shrimp, but the lemon pepper cold shrimp are highly overseasoned, and were not good. The fried rice on the Asian section was even cold. I did find two things I liked at the buffet one was the white wine chicken and the other was the banana gelato. Look I know this isn't Las Vegas and this is in the middle of nowhere in Michigan, but you would think that they try to keep the food a little fresher here. It's hard to characterize my experience here because I may have set my expectations too high-- but our meal here was over priced and pretty terrible. We visited on a Saturday night for the promise of seafood and crab legs. I will say the selection of food items was truly impressive-- but the quality of everything was uniformly gross. There were loads of deep fried sea-creatures, all of which suffered from sitting under heat lamps for too long. There was an Asian section, which featured probably the most palatable items, but all of them were still sub par. The sushi was made with standard rice as opposed to sushi rice, so the texture was off, and the wonton soup was inedible. I had hoped to make a meal of the salad bar, but it was not a terribly impressive selection of vegetables, and the breads were dry. The desserts were beautiful but lack luster, I imagine they had all come frozen. Honestly, the least appetizing part of this whole place was the ambience. I realize this might be common knowledge, but I'm new to the area and had no idea smoking would be legal in the casino. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke, which clung to me and my clothes and everything around me, and probably made the crappy food taste even worse. Only one station open, The prime rib section (if you call it that) should have two stations open to move the people faster. Food was really bad, salad bar was generic, breads were picked over, empty butter containers, prime rib was okay there was other food options, mashed potatoes, gravy two types of ravoilis that looked really bad, then some shrimp that was soggy from sitting in the pan for sometime. I looked like someone opened the refridgerator and said "what food do we need to get rid of this evening" I really look forward to their dessert, but like everything else what a disappointment. Tiny slivers of cakes and pies, they did have bread pudding, (which was not bad) but the spoon was so sticky from falling into the pan. Of course, two tips: 1) I only go on Saturdays for their all you can eat snow crab legs and oysters And 2) I also try to go on major holidays. The best experience I've had here so far was their NYE special when they had unlimited lobster. For $50, it was probably the best NYE dinner I've ever had. They didn't have the lobster special last year, so hopefully they'll bring it back this year. I enjoy their Asian selection although the sushi has been just meh lately, and while there is a nice selection of dessert to be had, the place to hit up is their gelato counter. The prime rib was cold. That is the only thing that I could say was negative about my experience. I reported this to a manager and to the person in charge of the carving station, and they both failed to act on my report. Most places will submerge the freshly cut portion of prime rib into very hot aus jous sauce, to keep the portion warm and to ensure that it doesn't dry out. Management at the buffet has neglected this crucial step. This is important especially if you are pay $28 dollars for the buffet with the additional $15 surcharge for the crab legs. read more

The young lady at the front was doing a good job of keeping track of people who were waiting, but it seems odd that nobody was actually taking names. The food's quality varied. The salad bar was pretty standard, but the cold salmon was delicious. Other highlights included the prime rib, the perch, and the macaroni and cheese, which had a garlic crumb topping.
