My husband and I used Men's Warehouse for our wedding, and we've also used it for other weddings in…read morethe past. This last time left an unpleasant impression on me, so I'm looking for other places in the future. My husband had a rented suit from a friend's wedding, where he was the best man. We went in, and he tried it on. To me, the colors seemed off. He was wearing a dark gray suit and a vest. My husband's vest was light gray. I didn't think anything of it because the groom, when my husband asked, said it seemed correct. Fast forward to the wedding day, and my husband's vest was the wrong color. Thankfully, another groomsman had a spare vest, and he gave it to him. When returning the suit, I walked in and told them what happened and how the vest color was wrong. The guy I initially dealt with was apologetic, and I made sure to reassure him that accidents happen. A second man walked over, and that's when things turned. This second man working said, "Let me see the ticket," and went to look at the ticket. He said, "I've worked here for 20 years, and I've never seen this color." I was like, "Okay... yeah, I don't know what happened. All I know is you can see the vest and suit don't match." After that, he looked at me and went, "I don't even think we carry this color." That's when I stopped being nice because it seemed he was insinuating something. Past that point, I stopped talking to that man because what was I going to say? He's the one who's worked there "for 20 years." I didn't know what to tell him or why the vest wasn't a match. That was a Men's Warehouse mess-up. Not ours. They all sit on their phones in the main area and barely look up at you when you walk in. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Long story short when we finally got the dress on I couldn't figure out how to lace the back and reached out to the associate for guidance. She flat out refused to help stating "No I don't want to go in there". My daughter was brought to tears and of course the 3 girls refused to buy the dresses they all wanted out of principal. She was by me every step of the way, listening to what I did and didn't want, and making changes along the way in the dresses she was picking out for me. I had a bridal appointment scheduled at Madeleine's Daughter for 2pm on January 10, 2026. Earlier that day, I found my dress at another appointment. Out of courtesy, I called Madeleine's approximately two hours before my appointment to ask if it could be modified to look at Mother of the Bride or bridesmaids' dresses. They said no due to scheduling constraints. I then confirmed I would still attend my 2pm appointment--I wanted to look at reception dresses and continue shopping with my bridesmaids and mother. Instead of accepting this, the staff told me they were cancelling my appointment because I had said "yes" to a dress elsewhere. I was immediately charged the $165 cancellation fee. I did not cancel this appointment. I explicitly stated I would attend. They made the decision to cancel on me, then charged me as if I had cancelled on them. I emailed that same day requesting a refund, explaining that their cancellation policy should not apply when the boutique cancels on a willing customer. Their response was patronizing--they assumed continuing to shop would cause me "financial confusion" and offered store credit toward a veil instead of a refund. This "solution" requires me to spend additional money while they keep my $165. I have continued to request a refund with no response. Bottom line: They cancelled my appointment, not me, yet they kept my money. This is unfair business practice. My mother bought her wedding dress here, and I bought my prom dress here years ago. I'm deeply disappointed that this is how they treat loyal customers.

I had discussed our shopping needs with Annette the day before and she was ready with dresses to view. And more! It's an incredibly tiny place, each square inch displaying items for every festive occasion. And my grand daughter found her Dream Prom Dress right away.
