i ordered five windows from them paid them by check i had to transfer funds from investment to bank account so gave them check on sat ask to hold it tell thursday i called them wednesday and told them to send check through at which time a good a receipt from them for the amount of the check with a notice i owed them $25 for giving them a bad check contacted my bank and they said check went thru to andersen paid when i contact anderson the head of accounting will not send me verification that they cashed check and since check was good i will not pay them the bad check fee $25 now my job has apparently been put on hold by them question what steps do i take now to have them send me verification of check being cashed by them and to get them to get job done or cancel contract i am a senior and hate to see a company take advantage of old folk read more

We had 6 windows replaced in our top-floor, row-house apartment in the South End, 5 large double-hung windows, and 1 small casement window for the bathroom. The salesman was very friendly, and assured us the contractors who install Renewal widows are professional, experienced and highly trained. We contracted for the windows plus metal exterior cladding for the wood. We thought the contract also included new window stop, the cheap moldings that go right against the window frame on the inside. When it came time to the actual installation the Renewal contractor scheduled it for one day, and said he would be done by 3pm. When I arrived home from work at about 5, only two windows were fully installed, and it took until almost 10pm for the crew to finish. They were literally hanging out the windows in near total darkness applying caulk, and were using no safety harnesses. The contractor showed me one window had a bad sash catch at the top side of the lower sash so it would have to be repaired under warranty. When we examined the job the next morning, we found the interior caulking job was quite sloppy, with dirt smeared into white caulk, and the window stop moldings had been taken off and reused with some pieces being cracked. One sash had spray foam residue on it. Nail holes were left unfilled in moldings. It was nearly two months before Renewal could schedule a repair person to address the problems, and the repairman didn't replace the moldings because that wasn't stipulated in the contract. I expected to have to repaint the window moldings, but I thought the installation would be more neat and professional for a $12,000+ job. The initial installation was rushed, and though the major issues were resolved, I am not fully happy with the results. I hope a good coat of paint on the moldings will hide the remaining cosmetic flaws. read more

Improper window was installed October 12th 2021 with promise of replacement of the properly designed window. Got a quote for replacement of 24 windows at nearly $60,000 or $2,500 per window!!! The windows are mostly 28 x 52 with two smaller ones. I was told that was the lowest available price, automatically set by their computer program and would only go up next month when their "sale" is over. This really shouldn't be legal. Their quote for two simple French door replacements started at $18,000.00. More then three times the quote from other GC offerings. I quoted Anderson windows against two other top manufactures. Apples to apples quotes here. After I gasped, suddenly, the salesman (like a used car dealership), offered discounts to end up at $14,900.00 for two but a whopping $12,000 for one door!. These are simple French doors folks! Nothing ornate (one had internal shades). They offered their credit financing of course, and i only had until that evening to decide and save another $100 dollars! I knew this company was a scam after the initial phone call was more interested in how many windows my house had than what I needed. The salesman was good natured, polite, answered questions, likable, smooth, but the quotes were blurry screen shots that were not itemized. Such as, what model Anderson window is quoted, what was the installation cost, etc. They quote you a "price" with monthly payment options for the doors that included installation free! Tax included! Wow. What a deal! Lol. But you can't cross reference the door model, you can't get any information and make a comparison to other manufactures. Stay far far far away from this scam, unless you really like to Overpay. Support local contractors and accept quotes from honest dealers with itemized details that list exactly what you are paying for. Anderson windows are not magically worth double the price of their competition. This experience made me prejudice against buying anything Anderson windows makes from any building supply store or contractor. Enough is enough with them. read more

They just pass you from one person to another. They schedule an installer then cancel the day of. They send an installer without the supplies or paperwork about what was to be done. We had nothing but a horrible experience with Anderson. First our blinds wouldn't fit back into the windows they installed, then they damaged the floor by dragging one of the windows on it. At first they seemed very helpful and willing to work with us on refunding the cost of the blinds and fixing the floor. We soon realized that was a front as we had to continuously call and talk to them about it. It took nine months for them to issue a refund for the blinds and they never fixed our floor. The only time they contacted us was when they realized the Green Sky company paid us an extra amount and they wanted a refund. Unbelievably disingenuous company to work with, now today I find my ~100 window they installed is now leaking water onto my floor. I would literally recommend any other window company at this point. read more

The following is solely my opinion: Renewal by Anderson pretended they were providing the financing - were actively deceptive - and signed us up for an installment loan with a company we never heard of (Greensky) without our knowledge or permission, and in an amount greater than the cost of the windows, hoping we would use this extra amount to purchase more products. Found out later Anderson was entitled to a fee from the financing company the split second we signed the paperwork (that had solely the Anderson logo) and each time we pay on this installment loan. Greensky landed in trouble with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as a result of their practices - the "merchants" they use, like Renewal by Anderson, should too. read more

Buyer Beware! If it sounds too good to be true, it is. The saleman told us things about "order today" and we will get your order processed in six weeks instead of three months. It was four months before installation was scheduled. We were told a bay window was going to take three days. The outside of our house was boarded up for a month. I wrote a complaint to corporate, and except for an apologetic email, no results there either. The only saving grace was the installer was professional and nice to deal with, but the rest of the process was awful. I wish I had read these reviews before Renewal by Anderson darkened our door ... by the way, the boards are down but approaching six months since the saleman lied to us repeatedly and the job is not complete. read more

Renewal by Anderson deserves NO stars. I had a sales guy over to my house about a year ago. He talked to my wife and I for a while. He then brought in some window samples. Great windows - loved the design, R-factor, etc. We kept going back and forth on design, # of windows, etc. Finally he ran the numbers. Over $35,000 for 25-26 windows. I nearly had a heart attack. After about a minute of shock, I started laughing. I almost thought the guy was joking. He ended up calling his boss, who offered to drop about $3K off. No way. He then tried to lower the price, by splitting it into doing a floor at a time. I said no way to that - we were doing the whole thing before siding the house. He kept coming up with all of these BS alternatives. The kicker of course - they were offering a discount ONLY if you signed a contract with them right then. No f'n way! We finally got rid of him. I ended up finding a contractor who put in nice Harvey windows, siding, gutters, etc. for about $35,000 TOTAL. I couldn't be happier and I would never recommend anyone use Renewal by Anderson. read more

Great Product - Abysmal Service We were also told that the install crew consisted to Renewal by Andersen EMPLOYEES and not independent contractors like all the other window install companies do. When the install crew arrives, they would all be wearing Renewal by Andersen clothing to identify them as trained Renewal by Andersen window installers and there would be a master installer supervising the process step-by-step. We order 24 windows and a back door which made the total cost more than $40k. Given the promises and reviews, the investment seemed reasonable. We also had a previous consultation with a competitor firm whose cost came out a bit above Renewal by Andersen's quote. When the install crew pulled up around 10-10:30, they came in a generic white delivery truck without any decals that the truck belonged to Renewal by Andersen. The master installer had a crew shirt with a small Renewal by Andersen logo. None of the crew members had clothing on that indicated they represented Renewal by Andersen. During the first day, the master installer was rarely seen outside checking on the work of his crew. Most of the time, he sat in the truck on the phone, facetiming at loud volume. At the end of the day, around 6pm, the crew left and left ladders standing up against the wall and equipment in our garage. I also noticed that they unplugged the extension cord to our water descaler to plug in their own electric drills for charging. Not that it is a big deal, but the extension cord had 2 additional outlets that they could have used instead of unplugging it completely. The next day, the crew showed up around 10:30. They stopped working around 6pm and told us that they would be back early Friday morning to finish up and head to the next job. Early meant between 10-10:30 again. My wife usually has Zoom or conference calls from 8am to 4pm and later. On Friday, there were about 3 installers in her office finishing up a window while my wife was on a work call. At one point, one of the guy's phone started ringing at a volume that was probably a 7 or 8 on a scale of 10. He let the phone ring several times before he proceeded to answer the phone and start the conversation in my wife's office while she was on her call. Not professional or courteous. On the surface the installation was done well and the windows worked as intended except 2 windows that were difficult to open and close. Upon closer inspection, though, there were several windows that were over-caulking, insulation foam was smeared on the bathroom window frame and a couple of window frames were installed sloppily. We called for a check up on a leaking window. The two guys ("the Clean-Up Guys") who came by to check on the issue pulled up in a truck that was wrapped in Renewal by Andersen logos, they both wore the same Renewal by Andersen shirts and had similar color pants/shorts. We told the Clean-Up Guys about the install crew and they were not surprised by the installation faux-pas but surprised by the lack of professionalism the crew demonstrated. They were aware of the master installer being mainly on Facetime in the truck and not supervising much. They also explained to us that the installation crew is not employed by Renewal by Andersen but rather they are contractors who sign a contract to exclusively work for Renewal by Andersen. While that constellation seems to work in other markets where the install crew represents the company more professionally, it doesn't seem to work well in the Nashville region, as we were told that our install job was one of the better ones the two gentlemen have seen from that particular crew. A few weeks ago, we received a call that our backdoor (which was ordered in June), would be ready for install on November 10. That morning the same two Clean-Up Guys showed up in matching uniforms with a screen and frame replacement. We asked whether they would also install the door and the surprised looks on their faces said it all. There was no door and when they checked with the regional manager, he confirmed that the door was still on backorder by the manufacturer. Update , 11/30/2015, after further consideration and review from higher HQ's on our situation we are going through, Renewal by Andersen concluded satisfactorily our case. Our home update is being held off at the moment, but will consider again for future home improvements. As a conclusion, fellow workers should have the authority to make or revise contracts. It took an arm and a leg to get our situation settled, despite not getting help from some employees. So I have had a few years to experience what these windows are like. While the initial experience was great. The quality of the product is just trash. First off I found out they have been using this window since the late 90s early 2000 so the design is about 20 years old. The first year of having them was fine. No problems. We got through the summer and all the gaskets had shrunk and most of my windows were leaking air big time. I was getting condensation around the inside of every window. After a year? Come on. So they come out and retrofit them with foam. Foam you can buy yourself at Home Depot for air conditioners. They opened up the window frames to install it. So they even did this on the bottom of the window where it meets the sill. Now my brand new windows don't shut and lock right after this retrofit. So we go through another summer/season. The locks on the windows started popping out. After a home CFM test they notice about 4 of the windows are leaking as well as the slider. So they come back out and fix those issues. But at this point My confidence in the product is shaken. Every year since install they have needed major repairs. By the end of the same summer we started fall cleaning. The entire window has cracked. The two latches that hold the window in place have collapsed into the window itself. Fibrex is the stuff they say is stronger than vinyl windows. But based on these windows and their constant need of maintenance and retrofits! I honestly have had it and they say they will support the product for 30 years. And every year I have had them out and will probably have them out every year for the next 27 years. Do yourself a huge favor. Do not buy these windows. It's overpriced snake oil. Send those people knocking on doors packing. If you do have them out. Don't be fooled by the corner sample of a window they bring. They are over priced rip offs and I regret the day I ever let the sales rep in the home. 31,000. Had I done my research I could have gotten windows with child safety's, double locks, less maintenance and probably could have gone triple pane. I want a full refund but I doubt I'll get it. I had the exact opposite of the other reviews on here, I scheduled an appointment with Renewal By Andersen for 12 windows in my home, they gave me an exact time and told me the sales consultant would be on time, they did ask for my wife to be there as well and I didn't have a problem with that. The consultant came 5 minutes early dressed with an Andersen shirt (I was worried they were a franchisee) the appointment went great it lasted 2 hrs not the 60-90 they said, but we had a lot of questions. We were thoroughly impressed with his presentation, he went over the company story, they are an Andersen corporate company not a franchise. My wife and I decided to order that night, they had everything we wanted and what we feel was a good value. We used a 1 yr no payment plan that was offered, that made it a little more convenient for us. The installation crew came in and in 2 day were done, they were the most professional contractors I ever had work for us. They vacuumed our house when they were done. I can't say more excellent quality, great installation. The windows are in for 16 months now and they are amazing, it's like looking through high definition glass, its MUCH quieter thanks to the windows . We love our new windows. read more

DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY if you are keeping the windows for more than 10 years. The windows are nice enough and have lasted. However, when I called for service, their customer service is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I called twice and was told someone would call me back--no return call. A salesman gave me a phone number to call directly. Called that and was told "this is new sales only", and gave me a number for Andersen windows (not RENEWAL by Anderson) and sent me back to the first number. Called again, and was given a fourth number, which was local. Finally got a person to schedule a service call SIX WEEKS OUT. The $180 service call is only if the person has the parts with them, if they have to order a part, then it will be another $180 service call. Get this--I was required to pay in full and in advance for the service call BEFORE they would even schedule the appointment for six weeks out. The payment was processed immediately, so they are keeping my money for six weeks. At this point, it is anyone's guess if anyone shows up. I was on the phone for 90 minutes to finally get an appointment. It will be anyone's guess if the window actually ever gets fixed. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. read more

This review is limited to the RbA sales process and pricing in the Greater Boston Area. Our biggest takeaway is that RbA feeds off of homeowners who see the Andersen name and most importantly do not get multiple quotes. In our process to replace 24 double hung windows in our 90 year old Dutch Colonial we decided to look at and get pricing on a minimum of 3 windows/installers. We excluded vinyl window products for a number of reasons. What we learned before inviting Renewal by Andersen (RbA) is that they required all homeowners to be present and that their tactics would be aggressive (buy today for this one time discount), negative to the competition and outrageously priced. RbA was the second vendor in and we already had a quote in hand. We in turn laid out a few ground rules with the scheduler: They had 1 hour only in our home We would not be signing any contract that night because we are looking at multiple options. The sales consultant showed up on time. He was well aware of our guidelines, was polite and reasonably professional. RbA bashes the competition or the perceived competition. We politely let him go on his rants and let him do his window show. He told a story of a wife who wanted lots of extras and the price calculated to $72,000. At which point the shocked couple reeled back on their "needs". After 20 minutes of measuring he went to his laptop for pricing based on our measurements and needs. Bingo: $72,000. With a bit of guilty irony he rushed into his discounts. Almost double the Home Depot quote. With his magical discounts he lowered the price to $52,000, still $20,000 more than Home Depot. Knowing we would not buy on the spot he offered us an opportunity for another 5% if we did decide to move forward. The contract terms offered required the final payment at the START of installation. In their follow up process another RbA person collected my feedback and offered to send out a "more senior" person who can measure properly with the power to offer better discounts. We viewed this as just another attempt to play more games and get back into the deal. We did not select RbA or the Andersen 400 window from Home Depot but instead another brand and a local contractor. read more

The contractor that they used was terrible, unprofessional, couldn't follow directions, showed up with the wrong products. They came back 6 weeks later to fix problems and the same thing happened. Very unhappy customer who paid a lot of money. Update 1-29-16: the Renewal team sent another contractor to finish up the unfinished/ sloppy work. He did an excellent job and the office was apologetic about the previous contractor. The project is now completed the way it was sold. Their products are top quality. Note to homeowners; with your contract in hand ask the contractor to walk you through the job before they start and once the job is completed to ensure they complete everything you paid for. read more

BEWARE!! ABSOLITE AWFUL experience with this company! I am giving this company 1 star because I have to. However they deserve ZERO. They sent two employees to replace a slider and 6 windows. They admitted they never installed one. Not a good way to put a customer at ease. It showed.....when they were done the slider didnt close properly and had a rip in the screen, the windows had gaps between the woodwork and window that brought in a draft, and the caulking on the exterior looked like my 7 year old grandson did it. When I contacted them about the poor work it took 3 months for them to send another team out to fix the mess. The new team took out all 6 windows and slider and had to reinstall. They were disgusted with the install they had to fix. When they were done John contacted me about compensation on the oor install and inconveniences. He offered a "good will gesture"of $500 and said they corrected the problem! The first install took 1 day. The reason our representative spent so long in our home trying to sell us windows, is because they get paid $20-$30 an hour to do it. I would try to drag it out too. Actually I wouldn't, because I'm not dishonest like that. They wouldn't go down on price on the quote they gave us, even if many other companies have much more competitive prices at the same quality. This review is long-winded, but let me start by saying that the product is great and everyone we met with face to face (sales rep and installers) were all very professional, courteous, competent. The main issue, and it was a big one, was the coordination/organization. The RBA sales pitch assures a potential buyer that he/she is not just buying a superior product, but the name/brand, reputation ,service, etc. that comes with RBA. That sounded reassuring, it ended up being a disaster. I will say despite all of the issues presented below we were compensated for our troubles at the end, so that is why there are 3 stars here despite all of the problems. So, if you care to read why the 3 stars, here we go... We signed our contract back in Nov. 2014 and just last Saturday (Aug. 29th , 2015) was the project finished. Granted it takes time for the windows to be manufactured and we had a hell of a winter here in Boston which affected the install; but aside from those understandable setbacks there was a lot of miscommunication on RBA's end. We had only 6 windows replaced and it took 6 appointments to complete the project. First, we had an early March install date. Because of the snow we had in Feb. and the piles that remained on the street/sidewalks I asked RBA about a week before before the project if we were still on - I run a small business and if I don't need to take the day off I don't/can't. So I contacted them to make sure we could still do the work. I was assured we were set to go. Well a couple of days before the install they cancelled, this is well after I had already cleared my schedule of clients, so that was a bad start and a wasted day. To be safe -we had a ton of snow remember- I did not want to reschedule until May. This install went fine on day 1 and on day 2... until the top/3rd floor installs. RBA never pulled street parking permits for the taller ladders so they could not install on the top floor. Also one of the window's sashes was not installed/manufactured correctly and the seam was showing. So we rescheduled another date to replace the sash and install the top window. On that appointment, in July, the 4th time we have scheduled with RBA, they once again did not pull street permits, but luckily I was able to park in front of my house so they had the space for the ladders. Well, I guess the work order did not tell them to bring a taller ladder, so the top window again could not get installed. No big deal as they were still replacing the sash, right? Well the sash they brought out was a tinted window and not a clear window. So that too was a wasted day. On the 5th day, now the beginning of August, street permits were finally pulled and the correct ladders were brought out so the top window was installed. But the replacement sash was not ordered/ordered correctly so that was not replaced today. Last weekend, the 6th appointment the sash was replaced and all appears to be well. If that seems like a complete cluster, it was. Aside from all of those above issues there were no shortage of confusing phone calls and having to talk to the same people about the same issues. It was frustrating as hell. To RBA's credit, as I mentioned, they did compensate us for this colossal shitstorm and that saves this review from a 1 or 2 star rating, but they need to drastically change their coordination/logistics department or they are going to be losing a lot of customers. Bottom line: Great product and good people, but RBA's logistics are horrible. read more

I would give them a lesser score but 0 is not a option. We ordered windows and a patio door last June. They came in August to install the windows and patio door. The patio door never worked correctly from the start. They cut our vinyl siding while installing one of the windows, this took months to have repaired and we had to settle for a color that was close because they couldn't match it. The last person that was sent out called me out to look at the patio door after he fixed it and said " there its working". The screen didn't close properly because of the angel he had to set it on. I looked at him and said would you accept that at your home. His response was I will order you a new patio door. This company took our money in August of last year and here we sit and wait for the project to be completed. After numerous complaints they did send us 500.00 rebate I believe to try and shut us up. The company contacted us yesterday to inform us that the new will be delivered in August but said they didn't think that was acceptable so have permission to expedite the door being shipped by June. I guess they feel that 9 months is a acceptable wait but another 3 isn't. By the time this is done they will have had our money for over a year and we still won't have a completed job. Worst experience ever! Not only do the sales people go door to door knocking around the neighborhood but they will not listen to what you say in person or on the phone. They basically told me I had to set aside 60-90 minutes with my wife and I told them not to show up unless they can get the quote done in 20 minutes or less since I want an apples to apples window and I don't care about colors, sizes, styles, etc.. I told this to the people who knocked on my door, the person who set the appointment, and the person who called to confirm the appointment but nobody bothered to tell that to the sales person who was blindsided by it. So the sales guy shows up, I meet him outside and say I want an apples to apples window, white on white, the clock starts now and you got 20 minutes to give me a price or I'm throwing your ass on the street. Needless to say, they couldn't give me a quote, they wanted me to listen to their sales pitch for 60-90 minutes and I told them to get the "F" off my property. They have bad attitudes, they won't listen, their product is over priced, and I don't want to listen to a sales pitch for an hour and a half. Find some other sucker! One other thing I will add is that these sales reps may or may not even work for Anderson. While they do walk around with an Anderson T-shirt on, their ID badges are so cheesy and fake looking that a toddler could do a better job making an ID with a crayon and some saran wrap. I was also told a Foreman would come to my house to measure the windows, check for rot, etc. but the guy who showed up was wearing Sweat Pants, was about 450 pounds and looked like he had never picked up a hammer in his entire life. I did not allow him to step foot in my house and it was obvious he was an entry level sales person doing his first or second quote. I had 2 previous installations done.. Crew was the best... sadly he retired! We had our3rd installation done.. not so good. Our job has been going on for over 4 months and 3 different crews (the last 2 guys were great)! 2 window panes had to be replaced because one came damaged and the first 2 installers damaged the 2nd along with my wall. The 2nd crew they sent out to finish what the 1st started tried to take the easy way out and "nailed" the wrapping to the front of the windows. Crew 3 fixed that issue and had to re-wrap what the previous crews mis-measured and actually cut incorrectly. We had 3 screens come damaged and only 2 have been replaced the 3rd is in limbo. The person who showed up to replace the 2 damaged panes could only do one because "someone" ordered the wrong side. I have left messages and no one is calling me back. I thought very highly of this company and told folks they were the best... now i'm telling folks stay clear we planned on getting a new front door and 2 back doors... not now! They were quick to take our money - the last installment should not have been taken by them until the job was completed. 12/13/21 read more

We ordered a front door and storm door in December a sales rep for Renewal by Andersen. The door was supposed to be installed 8-10 weeks later, in February. When the installers arrived in February, they were two hours late, which was the first sign that we were in for trouble. Twelve hours later, they had left. And the project was incomplete -- we didn't have a doorknob for our storm door, there was spray foam insulation smeared all over our walls (and even on another door that wasn't even part of the project), and our yard was littered with garbage, old food wrappers, and leftover materials that they never cleaned up. The spray foam insulation could not be removed by a subsequent crew, so they had to order an entirely new door, frame, and storm door and completely replace the previous one. This process took another two months to complete, and even then the company didn't send out the crew with all the materials that they needed to finish the job -- we spent more time without a threshold and a fully functioning door. The replacement crew commented several times that the previous crew had done an abominable job and that we had been treated poorly. It wasn't until this week (9 months later) that they finally sent someone out to scrape off the sprayfoam insulation that had hardened around our living room and repaint our trim. In addition to all of these problems, the management at Renewal by Andersen has done nothing but add insult to injury. If you find yourself forced to work with John, the installation manager, you should immediately ask to be reassigned to his supervisor. John is seemingly incapable of returning emails or phone calls and has done absolutely nothing to make this experience right. The only way we were able to get the original door fixed in the first place was by going over John's head to speak with his supervisor. Numerous employees and contractors of Renewal by Andersen have remarked to me throughout this that we are not the first people to have been treated this way by John and that he is known for being flakey with customers. During this process, John's supervisor told me that Renewal by Andersen would work with me on a refund to make this right once all of the work was finished. When I asked John about this once the painting was finally finished, the most he would offer was a $500 discount (off of a $7,500 project). Apparently, John (and by proxy, Renewal by Anderson) believe that it's not unreasonable that we pay $7,000 to be treated like garbage for 9 months and have our home destroyed in the process. Working with Renewal by Anderson honestly has felt like a con job. At any given moment, I have expected to reach out to the company only to find that they have turned off their phone lines and absconded with our money. Do NOT do business with Renewal by Andersen. You can get higher quality work done elsewhere for far less money and far less aggravation. read more

I am a long time Andersen customer. Every window in my house is Andersen. After every installation I was told if I had any problems or needed a replacement part to call their Service Department. June 29: I called the Service Dept. and left a voicemail to request a replacement for a torn screen. July 01: Scott from the Service Dept. called me and left a voicemail saying it would be $115 for the screen and $125 for the "trip charge". I called back and left a voicemail asking why I would need to pay a trip charge, but he didn't return my call. July 08: I called and spoke to Jim from the Service Dept. He said the trip charge would only be necessary if I wanted Andersen to install the screen. Otherwise they would mail the screen to their nearest warehouse and I would have to pick it up there. Before ordering the screen Jim said he would confirm the screen type and call me back. He never called. July 14: I called and spoke to Scott again. He confirmed the screen type, and charged my credit card $115. He said he'd call me back when the screen was at the warehouse. He never called. July 29: I called and left a voicemail with the Service Dept. No call back. July 30: I called the main number and spoke to a concierge, Ryan. He told me Scott had left the company, that the screen should be at the warehouse by August 04, and they'd let me know. August 06: I called the Service Dept. and left a voicemail. No call back. August 07: I called the main number and spoke to Ryan again. He said he'd have someone call the warehouse and let me know. No call back. August 11: I called the main number and spoke with Christina. I asked if she would put me on hold, check with the warehouse and let me know. She said no she couldn't do that, but she assured me she'd check and call me back. No call back. August 12: I called the main number and spoke with Johnson. After I explained the situation he said he was meeting with the Service Dept. in 15 minutes and would call me back. Later that day I got a call from Brandon who said the screen was at the warehouse. We agreed on a time for me to pick it up, and he said he would be sending me a survey to fill out. I drove 41 miles to pick up the screen. As of August 15 I have not received the survey. Something's fundamentally wrong with a company that won't mail you a replacement part, and expects you to drive to warehouse in the middle of a pandemic to pick it up, and refuses to return your calls to the Service Dept. even after they charged your credit card. read more

Buyer aware. worst customer service worst sale ever. Me and my wife just got a new house, the windows are original (1991) so we decide yo change those. 23 36-58 inch windows, one huge window 112' wide and front door and sun room. 05/20/17 we went to the showroom, trying to get some ideas. the salsman told us he can't do anything unless we make an appointment. I was asking the Ufactor, price range for difderent serises, install and difference between difderent serises. he answered Anderson does not have any price for years, you have to have somebody come to your house, he was not able give any information in the showroom! also he said if I have my constructor, they are not able to do my bussiness, because anderson can only be install by their own guys or anderson will not sale any windows(tell me if this was true). The attitude is rude, Apparently this is the worst experience we had in our remodeling process for nearly one month. No information have been told in the showroom. Honestly, my family have constructor and broker, and I am sure Anderson lost a lot potential customer. read more

Please do not use Anderson Renewal. The salesman is slick and gives you an almost obnoxious pitch. I never saw or heard from him again. Anyway, we spent $11,000.00 on windows that are not what we ordered, do not fit, and are drafty. Anderson has tried to make it better by thicker insulation. They never did the right thing which would be replacing them with windows that fit. I had these installed in the summer. (Even the installers we apologetic) and I'm still trying to deal with Anderson. I have ugly windows that don't fit. Please don't make the same mistake! read more

Yelp needs to consider a negative rating option. DO NOT get their patio doors and DEFINITELY NOT their front doors. Quality may be good but their installation, customer service, and responsiveness are the worst I've encountered. Promised a 2 - 3 day install, a month later not only is it not complete and I have bare exterior sheathing exposed to the elements but they've charged my account the full amount. They've always been on overpriced option but at least they were competent, ethical, and responsive. I've had Andersen Renewal windows previously installed in a home and the experience was excellent. They've obviously decided to change how they deal with customers They used 1/2" wallboard to replace a section they removed .. trouble is ours is 3/4" and they tried to blend in the joint leaving a valley as Orr the top of the newly installed patio door, left a 1/4" gap above the patio door between the wall and trim. They send their install teams out without the materials and tools they need, and now take the cheapest route possible. Their sales do not have samples to show colors so you have to rely on their knowledge of the product and website picture (see photos) but sales does not know and pictures are way off. Oh yeah, they kindly offered to replace the wrong color door with the right color if I coughed up $3500 extra, how nice Icould continue and write a book on issues that completely turned this into a nightmare.
