In June 2026, the Corvair Society of America held its annual convention in Gettysburg. This included a number of events including a concours d' elegance, rally, economy run and autocross. The autocross was held in a parking lot adjacent to the Renn-Kirby Chevrolet dealership and the staff at Renn-Kirby offered a compleete free lunch to the throngs of spectators and drivers from the autocross. There must have been a couple hundred people who were served. What a deal! It's so nice to see a modern Chevrolet dealer recognize our little antique air-cooled Chevys! Visited the dealership with the intention of purchasing a new Chevrolet Silverado 2500. I was told by the salesman Luis they did not have the specific options I wanted in stock but would keep looking. A few days later the salesman texted me with a window sticker with exactly the truck I wanted and said he wanted to make sure I wanted it. I said yes and when could we get it in as I had told him I was only going to be in town 10 more days as I travel full time. Texted and called him for several days asking about the status and was told each time his manager was working on it. Never heard back. Needless to say I purchased my new $80K truck from a competitor. Don't waste your time here. If they blow you off when you want to spend $80K I can only imagine how they treat you for a less expensive car. read more

We drove two hours to see a 2023 Colorado Z71 after discussing pricing with a salesperson who initially implied there was some room to negotiate. We communicated with a salesperson via text to ask questions and discuss pricing. Responses were slow and often required multiple follow-ups on our part. Five minutes before we were about to leave for our appointment, we were told the truck wasn't available because it had been loaned out, forcing us to change our plans and return the next day. When we arrived, the truck had nearly 2,000 more miles than advertised and was being used as a shop/loaner vehicle, putting it outside the factory warranty. Despite all of this, there was no willingness to negotiate, and management didn't even come out to speak with us. The entire experience felt like a waste of time. Fortunately, we found a newer truck with fewer miles elsewhere less than a week later. Would not recommend. read more

The customer service I received when I was purchasing vehicle was good but afterwards, the customer service was awful. I had to return back twice due to lack of communication from Makayla and my "supposedly" brand new car had a dent in scratch on the side door. my "supposedly"brand new car already had 500 miles on there which was very disappointing. I wasn't offered a better option for a newer vehicle with less miles instead because I guess she wanted the sale right away. I was treated poorly after the sale I had to come back to get my vehicle fixed and when I came, it was pouring raining. I had my newborn baby and wasn't even called or anything to let me know the person to fix the car, wasn't there. all I got was a fake apology and was told to come back two days later. i also has some discrepancy in my paperwork for the loan due to the wrong information, I was given from my sales associate, so it almost caused me a huge issue with the bank, which would've had me rerun my credit which is another hard inquiry But thankfully, my bank figure it out. finally, As for the vehicle when I did show up again to get the car fixed I wasn't even greeted or show any sympathy for the issue and for caused me to come twice for no reason by Makayla. also forgot to mention before I left after purchasing the vehicleI I was told the car was gonna be full with gas and Cleaned, which neither was true I had to get gas and get the car cleaned when I came back the second time. I went in with pre-approved financing from USAA. Missy in financing scared me into allowing her to run my credit, telling me that she's had so much trouble working with USAA in the past and there was a good chance I'd not get my vehicle that day. She put six hard inquiries to my credit report only to come back with an interest rate two percentage points above what I already had. I declined and asked to move forward with USAA and she persisted with telling me how terrible USAA is. She finally moved forward with going through USAA, which took about 20 minutes in total. She used a scare tactic to try to put me in a loan that was worse for me, and took my credit score down while doing it. After we finally settled everything out with USAA another sales person Craig AGAIN tried to sell me a higher interest rate loan, telling me how much Missy was concerned about me using USAA. He manipulated the numbers to make his payments on a higher rate look better than my payments on a lower rate. I told him several times I wasn't interested and I wanted to use USAA. It wasn't until I threatened to leave that he stopped trying to sell me something I didn't want. After that he persisted in trying to sell me gap insurance, telling me how terrible Progressive Insurance is and how much I need to consider his $700 gap policy, then telling me he HAS progressive insurance and he knows that it costs more than $700 to have coverage through auto insurance. This lying and manipulation is exactly why people don't want to shop from a car dealership anymore. When will dealers learn that nobody wants their nonsense and to stop wasting peoples time? I was there for 3 hours when I should have been in and out. Terrible experience. read more

But since my regular reputable mechanic was away and I really needed this Radiator replaced I went to you, and you let me down just like I was expecting. Pathetic. We are from Hanover Pa and bought a new car from them a year ago. Had to go toe to toe with the sales manager to get a fair price for our trade. Stood my ground and finally got the price I needed after arguing and humiliation. They promised first oil change was free. So the car finally got to 0% on the oil and we made an appointment for oil change and state inspection. When we dropped the car off, I told the service counter person to call (left my cell #) if there was any thing beyond the cost of inspection and gave him a coupon we got in the mail for a free first oil change and tire rotation. When we picked up the car the next day, the bill was $70+ more than expected. I asked what was this extra charge? He said "oil change and tire rotation was $69.95. I said this was the first oil change and it was supposed to be free and we gave a coupon for free oil change and tire rotation. He decided to argue with me and pulled out the coupon and said this has to be done in the first year after delivery and that year ended 6 days ago. I was pissed and continued to argue with him. He said he would check with his manager and came back in a minute and said he would take the oil change off the bill as a one time courtesy. I told him one time is all we need because you will never see us ever again. So if they have a deal you can't pass up, read every word, take pictures, keep notes and be prepared to fight. read more

Renn Kirby are cheats and liars - supposed 30 yr finance manager told us we had to pay our full tag renewal (2yr) to transfer our tags. Lo and behold when we received registration it was for only 1 year AND they refuse to refund us the extra tag fees we were charged. Check and double check your figures - screen shot every piece of you sign (before you go sign the final docs) and compare when you signing the final docs. We questioned and caught them several times with differences in the figures when it was time to sign the final documents. Too bad we weren't educated enough to know about the tag registration guidelines. Who knows what else, we were scammed on? Called and complained to Chevrolet and was basically told they are an independent dealer and can't make them refund the difference. They offered us a $100 off our next service valid for 1 year. If I need service on my new brand new vehicle - there is a problem! read more

They Sold us a defective car! We drove from Northern Virginia and went to purchase a Pre Owned 2022 VW Passat with 15k miles and a Clean Carfax. The car had a malfunctioning Blind Spot Monitoring system and the Alert Light was ON at the time of purchase which both the Sales Person, Chris, and the Sales Manager, Mike, were made aware of. Mike had us contact a VW Dealership to confirm if the car is under the Factory Limited Warranty and it was after our call to the VW Dealership. Mike assured us that it will be fixed and just take it to the dealership as the car is under the factory limited warranty and we UNFORTUNATELY TRUSTED HIM. After purchasing the car and taking it to the local VW Dealership were we have been a longterm customer there, they notified us that this car had been worked on before and the Issue at hand is due to MISSING WIRES HARNESSES inside the door where the wires are CUT! Therefore, this is not a warrantable issue and we are responsible for the repair costs. After I communicated these issues and sent all documents to Mike and Chris, it took them a week to respond to me and yet when I was able to get Mike on a call he sated that they can't do anything since the car is under warranty and they will be not making any efforts to correct this issue. Plain and simple, they sold us a defective car and took NO STEPS in correcting their mistakes and errors. After speaking with the VW Dealership, they told me that when Mike called them, he expected them to fix it and just cover the problem under warranty when this is not even a warranty covered problem. This is a problem they had to correct before selling a car and it is fully their responsibility and fault. The car has been sitting in the VW Service Center ever since and we cannot get any resolution from this Renn Kirby Management. A TOTAL DISASTER AND WHAT A HECTIC AND UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE! Do yourself a favor and unless you are going for a New Car, don't even bother going to this place until Mike, the Sales Manager, is no linger in place. I caught them trying to scam me out of $500 while purchasing a vehicle!! Be very careful, most people probably never would notice how they did this. After I caught them, they called it a "mistake" and had me come in to redo all my paperwork and essentially give me my $500 back. First of all, I don't believe my sales associate, Ken, had anything to do with this, and as mentioned in previous reviews, was great and easy to work with. However, during negotiations on the trade-in value of my car, I had to deal with Ken's sales manager that day. I cannot remember his name, but he is not listed on their website. When he went back to his computer to print out another offer and raise the trade-in value at the bottom of the page, he also changed the middle digit of the purchase price at the top of the page which we had already settled on and no one mentioned this was to change. He did this in a very crafty way by changing $25,464 to $25,964. I didn't notice until I signed all paperwork and got home with the new truck. Luckily, I had snapped a picture on my phone of the of the original paper they showed me proving what they had did! They called it a "mistake". What a coincidence this number could change itself when it would not need to be re-entered in the computer? Also, strange how the hundred's place changed and not the thousands (too obvious and too big), nor the ten's or one's place which would not be worth the scam. Also, interesting that the price went up and not down! I feel bad for anyone who isn't bright enough to make honest money in this country and who apparently feel they need to cheat people to get by. I've bought a 2018 Buick Regal TourX from them on 9/21/2020, I'm from NY so by the time I got to their dealership it was already getting dark and to be frank I wasn't paying too much attention to the car because dealer told me that it's a 0 accident car with all the maintenance done at their place and is still under factory warranty. So I've bought it, drove home and the fun started when at home I've noticed a Bubbling paint on the passenger door - so I've brought the car to the nearest body shop and was shocked at their findings - Front fender and door were hit hard and repaired very very poorly for a quick sale! Also Rear Passenger's central lock doesn't work and Oil was never changed (Oil Life is at 46%). I've tried contacting the dealership but they've stopped answering me. Now I'm stuck with a poorly repaired vehicle that I'm financing... Will pursue this through all possible means. Please pay close attention to what you're buying from them and be aware of their financial rep who tries to sell you bunch of unnecessary warranties and coverages. read more

We ran across a shoddy bank that at first blame the dealership for needing more money for a down payment, then turned around saying it was them that needed the $500.00. It is a long convoluted story to say the least. Through it all, Mark was great, and unbelievably professional. This is even after the phone chewing I gave him for what the bank led me to believe was backroom financial shenanigans. My advice to you is to go somewhere else and not buy anything from this dealership. I am writing a review based on the recent experience of my 83 year old father who is on a very limited income and was talked into buying a car from Renn Kirby Chevrolet Buick. Again, the information I have is third hand knowledge based on what my father said he was told and of course the dealership did not put anything in writing so they are not legally obligated to do anything. My father went into Renn Kirby after receiving a flyer from this dealership last year saying he could be the winner of $25,000 so he went in to see if he got lucky. Of course he didn't win the money and I don't know who, if anybody, ever won this $25,000 dollars but I can't say either way. Instead, they had a high pressure salesperson, whose name is Dave and conveniently doesn't work there anymore, talk him into buying a car that he knew my father couldn't afford. My father explained to the salesperson repeatedly that he could only afford $100 a month in payments so somehow they talked him into a car that they financed for him at $385 a month for ~7 years (yes 7 years when my father will turn 90 years old). Apparently the deal that my father heard from the salesperson was that that they would give him a check to go towards the payments for the first 10 months so he would only be paying $125 a month. The dealership did do that, at least, but this was in writing so they had to. Also, it was my father's understanding from the salesperson that he would get another check at the end of the 10 months to use on the payments for another 10 months. This second payment wasn't in writing so, of course, now the dealer doesn't know anything about it. The dealer asked my father to come in for refinancing. Maybe they could bring down the payments but all they could do was offer him another car at about the same price which would bring the payments down to $325 a month. So now my father is in a situation where the car could get repossessed and he would be without a car. The problem I have with this is: 1. My father repeatedly told the salesperson he could only pay $100 a month but the salesperson continued to push him. I'm just wondering what kind of person takes advantage of an elderly person just to make a buck. 2. On the day this deal happened, my father ended up staying at the dealership for many hours which wore him down. As I said before, my father is 83 years old and sitting in a dealership with a high pressure salesperson for hours would wear anyone down much less an elderly person. 3. They gave him financing for 7 years at which time my father will be 90 years old. Who knows if he will even still be driving by this time. 4. In my opinion, the salesperson knew what they were doing and were just out to make a buck off of an elderly person who doesn't have much money to begin with. So, you can do what you want but if you do any business with this dealership, or any dealership for that matter, get everything in writing. I would recommend you even record the conversation with you cell phone or a digital recorder so there's no dispute later. Again, in my opinion, what Renn Kirby did was immoral and unscrupulous. read more

Horrible experience buying my vehicle there. The vehicle was used. When I picked it up to bring it home it was dirty inside. There was garbage in the area the jack was supposed to go. I didn't even get a jack with it. Originally I was just going to out cash down, they got financing. Then I changed to trading in a vehicle. Could hear the finance manager screaming and swearing at the salesman from their lobby area where I was waiting. A broken part that was supposed to be fixed wasn't. The salesman lied to me about a noise coming from the heater. Just n overall bad experience. read more

Bought a used 2015 F350 two weeks ago from Renn Kriby and the upper oil pan gasket started leaking. After dropping the truck off for a week and dealing with the inconvenience of not having a rental for that period, they told me that their 3 month 3600 miles warranty only covers drive-train which I find hilarious because you need (oil) and gasoline for your "drive-train" to function properly. Also, they said I can purchase their extended warranty to fix the issue which at this point would probably be considered insurance fraud being that there is a "pre-existing" issue with the truck. PLEASE watch this dealership and really do your homework before buying ANY USED VEHICLE from these people so you do not run into the same issues that I did. read more

Prior to Aug 10th, 2017, I had been monitoring the Renn Kirby website for a new conversion van. On August 10th, we received a price watch update from Renn Kirby with the original sale price going from $38,008 to $37,008 on a van we had showed interest in. Around August 13th, we decided to purchase this van and sent an inquiry via the website. I received an email from a Mason Garbar, sales representative on Monday August 14th for initial conversation. I gave him the stock number and told him I intended to fly into Harrisburg around August 28th to pu this van. Via a phone conversation, I asked Mason what other charges were there to add to the price of $37,008. He stated the cost for a drive out tag, and registration fees of $139.00. I asked him to send out an itemized cost for out the door. Later Monday August 14th, he sends me a total price of $39,471.89 and asked if we were financing or a check. I replied back and told him check but I needed an itemized cost. To my shock, we are finalizing the deal and I am now informed the van is not $37,008 but $38,883.74. $1,875.74 more than the advertised price on the website. As well, the registration fees have changed from $139 to $545. 2016 vans had been advertised in the $38,000 range at Dave Aborgast in Troy, Ohio at the beginning of 2017, another dealer that sells similar vans. . So this price did not look out of line to us. While it was a great price, it is a price we have found elsewhere earlier this year. We were just not ready to pull the trigger at that time, since we were still entertaining a Class B+. When a company sends me a "price reduction alert" via email (which I still have) dropping the price from $38,008 to $37,008 , then that is what I expect the price to be. Raising the price to $38,883, without any acknowledgement of an error, is an integrity issue. When a company tells me the other only fee is $139 and then raises that fee to $545, that is an integrity issue. Sending an email simply stating the "out the door cost is $39,471.89...will that be finance or cash" was trying to hide the error, and slip an increase of the other fee past us. The error in price and increase in the fee was only revealed when we pressed for an itemized break down. They had multiple opportunities to reveal this error instead of just trying to slip it past us. Integrity is not part of this establishment in our dealings. As of October 2nd, not one person from Renn Kirby has called to apologize or honor their original price. There is nothing they can do at this point to resolve this false advertising. read more

We are ready to buy a new vehicle and as we received a flyer in the mail, it seemed like a good time to stop in. We never figured there would be a prize waiting but as we have done several purchases from Sutliff in Harrisburg we wondered if maybe taking our business to a closer location would also be more convenient and as pleasant as the experiences in Harrisburg. Upon entering, we were met by a salesman who was quite rude from the moment he decided we were only there for a prize!! Right, a pair of earbuds, not worth the drive or gas. We sincerely are buying a new Chevy and after encountering this person, quickly decided we certainly would not be purchasing from him!! We did not ask for the flyer to be mailed to us, already were very sure there would be no big winnings but viewed stopping in as a great way to learn about Renn Kirby. We could not believe the manner in which we were treated and will be doing our business elsewhere!! Very negative first and last impression!! Purchased new Trax in June, based on OTD quote (out-the-door) by sales manager. As I was being overwhelmed with all the forms I kept asking for a price breakdown to make sure I was getting all the rebates offered since the final price seemed high - was told everything was in there. Got home, did the math, and found out I was overcharged at least $583 (depending on tax and tag reductions). Called the sales manager and asked for a breakdown to see where the difference was - she could not/would not provide a breakdown but did admit I was overcharged. They then sent a check for only $481 without an explanation why they didn't send the full amount. Again, I called and asked about the remaining $100 , their reply only referenced top level prices and didn't even attempt to explain the $100 difference between my numbers and theirs. There is no transparency in their pricing structure, and they will not detail how they get to the 'quote' price. Not bad if they actually honor the quoted price, but very dishonest if they charge you a higher price and refuse to explain the difference. I assume they hope most people won't bother checking the final price paid compared to the quoted price. Will be taking my complaint directly to GM since Renn Kirby doesn't seem interested in making it right. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. read more
