This was my first visit to Reno Massage & Wellness. The business is located in an old home in old southwest Reno. The inside is very well kept. The first thing I noticed when I opened the front door was that it smells like a spa - very inviting. I had an appointment with Adrian. The first thing I noticed is how kind and friendly he was. He took me to his studio and spent some time talking with me and learning about any issues I was having with my body. He had also read the information in my online questionnaire. He made notes of our conversation and explained the process to me. He stepped outside while I got undressed and got on the massage table. While I was getting ready for my massage, I looked around. His studio was immaculate and very welcoming. He went to work on the areas of my body that we discussed. His skills are awesome and he makes you feel very relaxed while he is working. I recently stopped in at Reno Massage & Wellness for a prenatal massage with Marisa and I had a wonderful experience! I've had a few prenatal massages elsewhere before and I can honestly say this was one of the most relaxing experiences. I felt calm, relaxed and comfortable (which is hard at this point in pregnancy) during the entire massage and my body was very relaxed after as well. Marisa did a great job checking in with me at points throughout the massage to make sure I was comfortable as it can be difficult to lay in different positions when pregnant. Linda is my massage therapist and I have followed her throughout the years to many different stages of her career. This is where she's at now and I'm extremely satisfied with this location. Wellness describes the feel of this place for sure. It's clean, quiet, and offers the space and luxury for Linda to provide her therapy sessions with such a stress-free mindset. I prefer my massages on the firmer/rougher side where if you had to beat my muscles with a rolling pin, I'm fine. I usually get a 90 min massage with cupping, and though it feels like I'm getting pinched, Linda will always put me to sleep due to relaxation and not because she's "rubbing" lotion on me. She ventured off into new opportunities, and now my massage therapist is Carleen. Carleen is also very professional, caring and great at her job. The ambience of this massage studio is very calming, clean, and relaxing. The staff is always so attentive and care about what your body needs and your health. I have seen Adrian for a few years now and since he is an excellent massage therapist, I followed him to this new location. Adrian does a very good job overall, but especially works wonders with the stress/tension in my upper back and shoulders. Getting massages every few months has helped minimize my shoulder pain and my headaches and I feel so relaxed afterwards! As well, Adrian is very friendly, easy to talk to (if you want to talk), and makes sure that the massage is tailored to each person with pressure/focus areas. I highly recommend him! May 2021 update: My sister and I traveled from Placerville to Reno for a quick getaway. We can't visit Reno and not book a massage. We both got 90 minute massages and it was perfect. I had Patrick and my sister Mandy. We drove away from our appointment saying the same things; this was the best massage I've ever had; I didn't know I needed a scalp massage ; it was so relaxing; and we have to come back soon. A shout out to Patrick. We talked in the beginning about my Colostomy and very large breasts. He was the first ever to make me feel comfortable when laying face down. Thank you Patrick. I saw Heidi a few months after I had slept wrong and had a tight neck for over a week. I also sit at a computer all day with bad posture. Though I workout and am fairly active, I don't stretch enough. My muscles were so tight I was getting headaches. Heidi was amazing, she did an excellent job loosening my muscles and increasing blood flow with some cupping. I was heading to Hawaii a week later, so she made sure the cupping marks wouldn't be too deep. They were gone in about 2-3 days. I highly recommend Heidi. read more

Heidi took the time to ask questions about certain areas of my body to better assess where the work was most needed and told me about areas of my body that were super tense and needed attention paid to. She was even able to identify me as a south-paw right off the bat based on my overall muscle / tenseness composition! I thought that was pretty impressive!
