Today was my full day of chores. Atmosphere - Good size local paint store. Several departments, see pictures. Plenty of parking. Open 6 days a week from 6:30am or 8am to 4pm or 6pm. Service - Kayla was amazing! Patient and gave many good suggestions. Including additional options for painters (we asked), which hopefully we will not need. When we got here, there were many employees working. Price - $100 for a paint consultation to have them come out to your property. Free if you speak to a paint consultant in-house. Since we were here, we went with the free in-house service. Our painter includes the cost of the paint and our painter is NOT inexpensive. Look forward to seeing the end results. Don't buy paint from Lowe's or Home Depot because none of that stuff never lasts. Reno paint mart has Great service, they are locally owned. So don't waste your time going to the big box and buying all that crap from them. I bought some stain for my deck at Lowe's and I had to re-stain it one year later. I went to Paint Mart and bought their deck stain. I probably won't have to re-stain it for another seven years. I will never buy from Lowe's and Home Depot again because I found out their paint is watered down and they add chemicals that you inhale. It's bad there. read more

Our home was painted with Benjamin Moore paints and Reno Paint Mart is the supplier for that line of paint in the area. We needed to get some paint for a shed we were adding so that it would match the house. They can also color match caulking to any paint color. We had them make some tubes that match our exterior paint for installing and caulking some exterior flood lights. Our only negative is that we had to stand waiting at the counter with several other customers and it took a while before any of us were acknowledged. We decided to DIY and paint our fence. We kept putting it off for one reason or another, so I finally initiated the project and came here to pick the color. At first we were told we needed a sprayer, but when I came back the second time I was told we could roll it on. I think bringing the fence board in helped determine what we needed. So this is where I got really good info and help from George (Jorge), and Greg. Call it karma, but we ended up hiring them to paint our fence ( and the whole house next spring I picked Autumn Sand and came home with 10 gallons of it!...(fingers crossed that I would get approval from hubby).... which he liked the paint! Here we are this Saturday, and the fence is looking absolutely gorgeous!!! Unfortunately, we needed 10 more gallons, (added more fence to paint) so I ran back down to pick it up. Update 5/11/19 Finally time to get the house painted! I'm usually very set when I make a decision, but this time I went through 9 colors to decide. I finally picked the Ppg1024- Patches color for the body of house and the trim 1024-Friar Brown! At first I was a little worried as they painted, (thinking it was too dark), but as it dried, it was stunning! So many compliments on how the house looks! We've been painting our ceilings and decided to stop by the Reno Paint Mart to see if they had any additional tips and tricks that we didn't already know. The staff was beyond helpful and very knowledgeable and did in fact provide some new tricks for us to try! Going forward we'll be shopping here for all our painting projects. They sell high quality paint, have knowledgeable staff, and incredible customer service. We purchased an 18" roller frame, some rollers, a paint tray and liners, and liquid paint extender. A week later the roller frame broke. I stopped by to buy another one and showed them a picture of what happened. They gave me the new frame without question. In fact, I'm thinking the only thing more difficult than picking a paint color is underwater welding! After more than 5 visits to HD, 5 to Reno Paint Mart, and about 20 different samples, I still don't have the color I want! So why 5 stars? Well, Reno Paint Mart cares. Reno Paint Mart tries. Reno Paint Mart treats you like a person and values you as a customer, even if you're a PITA like me! They truly want you to succeed in your mission, and want to help you in any way they can. It all begins with a rash decision made at Home Depot that left us with a blue gray master bedroom. Home Depot wouldn't return the paint, so my wife brought it to the pros at Paint Mart, who magically remixed it into another color... FREE OF CHARGE! That color looked good, but wasn't exactly what we were after, so she consulted with the pros who recommended another color, which we took home to test. That paint ended up looking beige, not gray, and Paint Mart gladly took this back and continued to help us find the right color. Over the next week, we experimented with countless samples in search of THE ONE, a gray paint that actually looked gray. Along the way, the pros offered us tips and tricks on how to apply it, how to look at the swatches, and how to make the most informed decision. We followed all their instructions, and thought we'd found it, but they can't stop you from making your own mistakes. In the end, we decided to use the mixed color, so as not to lose the money we spent on it, in addition to some cans of the true color we were after. In the process of blending these remixed paints together, an error was made, which left us with blue gray walls in three rooms now, instead of two. The saga continues. We're still in search of gray, but at least we have some great people we can trust! read more

If I could pick wallpaper and colors faster I could get more excited. The paint side of the store is always efficient at getting your colors mixed. And the supplies are very easy to find. The interior design side is so so. If there are a couple of other customers there it's hard to get noticed. Maybe I should make an appointment but it seems like everyone else that walks in gets helped faster. They do allow you to check out paper books and give you plenty of time with them. Ordering is easy and you need half down and arrives in 7-10 days. They did call and let me know it was ready for pick up. I can't believe I have never set foot in Reno Paint Mart until now. My painter recommended I go to Reno Paint to have some lacquer custom tinted for our project. I was greeted by Jorge and was taken such good care of. Jorge was very friendly and helped me pick out the exact products and tools needed for the job. This place is amazing !! I needed a gas powered airless sprayer and they had one. I needed a large tip for spraying elastomeric paint and they included the extra tip at no charge. I called, reserved the machine a week ahead, and they did it for me with no deposit!! When I arrived to pick up the sprayer, it was cleaned, full of fuel and ready to go. So I never thought I'd need professional help selecting paint color for my home - but the time has come! After purchasing a new home with a variety of architectural features, I decided to consult the pro's at the Reno Paint Mart. After wasting a considerable amount of time and money on selecting and purchasing paint samples that I hated, I decided to meet with Gretchen Kinne in the design center. Gretchen did an exceptional job steering my husband and I in the right direction. She gave us lots of homework - magazines to thumb through, wall paper books to look through to determine the color palette we liked best. After that assignment, Gretchen came to our home (for a $75 fee) and walked through the home with us and advised us on how best to use color to accentuate the architectural features of the home. It was money well spent as we chose great colors to work with that suit our style. We are actually excited to get the paint on the walls! If it has to do with painting they have it. After trying the big box stores I came here looking for a special roller to do corners for our 23' stairwell. They had it along with some other tools, drop cloths, etc. that I needed. Have always used them for paint since they carry PPG and Benjamin Moore and it really covers well and has an excellent selection of colors. The staff knows what they are talking about and are always will to guide you in any DIY or professional project. The color sample quart is a steal at $5.99 (Any color you want to take home and test before committing to buying a ton of paint that may not work.) They will also match any color that you are looking for whether it be a paint color or any color you have a sample of. (I was in there one time where a lady brought a football jersey in and asked them to match it.) read more

Agreeing and laughing with Jill and Erica. With about 30 color chips spread across my work table and an equal number of paint samples, I finally turned to Stephanie in the design center for advice. She knew what I could not articulate: I like clear colors. I want my roses rose, not coral, not fuschia, not bubblegum. I want my greens dark, almost black. And I want my creams creamy, something you'd want to lick, not just off-white. Everyone--Geoff, the paint guys (both the experts in front and the alchemists in back) and the interior designers have treated me with courtesy, immediate attention, wonderful suggestions, and patience. And it's certainly not based on my appearance; with straggly hair, broken glasses, two chipped teeth, thrift store clothes and a walker, I don't look like Ms. Moneybags. The B-M color selections can be overwhelming in a wonderful way (Erica's candy store!!). And now they've got the Color Studies collection! For those who complain about Aura's price and performance, two things: (1) you get what you pay for. One gallon of an almost black green covered my 17 x 25 white bedroom, excluding doors and trim, in ONE COAT, with paint to spare and no see-through. Had to match a 15 year old paint color for touch ups, not an easy task. After a discussion with minimal mansplaining Eric, the Reno Paint Mart paint color matching specialist, and I settled on a comparable paint and acceptable sheen. Eric then proceeded to work magic, literally. His match was so dead on that not only was it possible to do the touch up and not paint the whole room we did not even have to go corner to corner. We had expected to need two gallons of the color match but only required a quarter gallon. Called afterwards and asked for Eric, wanted to express my thanks and appreciation, was put on hold for a long time, told Eric not available, left my call back number and never got a call back. This lack of call back and the mansplaining are the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Would definitely return for any paint needs and especially color matching. read more

Royal Enfield Motorcycles are kind of uncommon in Northern Nevada. I managed to acquire one of these amazing machines in Gunmetal Gray and went shopping for touch up paint. I had no luck. I went to Reno Paint Mart to see if they could help. Their Automotive paint guy hand mixed a perfect match, wrote the formula on the bottle and put it into their system. These folks are professionals, were extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. They made great recommendations and sold me a great product that has been holding up great on my deck. They advised me how to correctly prep the surface so I would get the best results. I really appreciate everything they did for me and would highly recommend using them.
