Beginning with their smart and organized website which is a dramatic improvement over most internet sites. In person, I dealt with James Paese who proved to be extremely knowledgeable regarding fixture metrics such that we could make our decisions with confidence. The first time you dive into lighting it's critical to understand color intensity and hue for your specific application. And that's exactly where an expert such as James makes all the difference. We purchased both lighting fixtures and a ceiling fan from C&L and this organization will be my default for future projects and I'm confident that you'll find a similar experience.

One did not match the other and it cost us $125 to return it. We bought a replacement for the return for less than the fee to return the original. Nobody should be charging fees to return things like that. Then the cabinets, though we love how they look were quite a pain. We went into order them and the original lady that we talk to was on vacation so the other lady was gonna come measure. She talked to the original lady and wouldn't come because the original lady wanted to do it. I guess because she wanted the commission to herself I don't know which delayed us by a week we were told we could rush the order and probably get it in 3 to 4 cause it usually takes five weeks when the order is finally submitted, they quoted seven weeks they pulled that in to five weeks, but measured wrong, which took a couple weeks to rebuild the cabinet. So the original five weeks has really been closer to 10 weeks when all is said and done. We never got status updates. I kept having to contact them. They really could work on their customer service. I also have since found that I could've had the cabinets custom made for about half the price.

I come and and the guy rings the bell for will call. Wait 5 minutes and no one comes. Ring again. Someone comes. He spent 10 minutes trying to find my order and couldn't. Then I had to wait 15 minutes in line and then someone wrote up my order and I went to pay for it. They told me I had to drive somewhere a few blocks away to pick up my items. Fine. I did that. And I get there and they say they are out of stock of 3 of my four items. Why did they just sell me out of stock items and not tell me. Now I have to call on the phone and convince them I didn't actually get the three items I paid for and they need to credit my card. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! And all of this took an hour, which should have taken less than 5 minutes and completely messed up my whole day of scheduled events.

Honestly if you need something standard just go to Ace Hardware and save money. But if you need something different THIS is your go to store! They are also able to answer questions about propane quick connects and other hose related questions. They pretty much do everything hose related including some auto and diesel and hydraulic and I'm sure more. On a different note I needed to use the restroom. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! Always a pleasant surprise! I will definitely be back when I need other items.

I've been to two of their locations now and someone in management is giving great guidance. Customer service is a 12 out of 10! No joke... I've not shopped at an ace hardware one time where I didn't feel like I just made a friend. My go to South meadows location did not have the tool I was looking for but even knowing that these are independently owned locations, they went above and beyond to locate what I needed at another location. It was worth the drive to lemon valley to purchase exactly what I needed simply because of their outstanding customer support. All of the employees I've had dealings with give off "I own stock in this company" vibes. Oh let's not get started on the fabulous freezer full of exotic pies from a chic pie shop in Northern California!!! Yup, I went in to purchase an air compressor for my bike and walked out with a Blueberry AND Boysenberry Pie. Ace Hardware is full of surprises, ALL good. Manufactured homes are notorious for having the cream of the crap and oddball products for manufacturing the homes. Chris was the whiz that worked there, he was able to get the correct faucet stems and accompanying parts to make my plumbing job much easier. Unlike the large big box hardware stores that offer no customer service, Chris was able to grind/cut off the older faucet parts to find out what replacements I needed. This alone was value that a big box hardware store could not offer. These guys are great at this store.

Not sure if she had an appointment, but the gal that came in after us, was quickly being helped. So we just wandered looking at the different options. We did have a gal ask us if we had any questions. Now I'm deciding on getting new bathroom counter tops to my kitchen, so more decisions to be made. I've been wanting new countertops for a while, but had to prioritize with the backyard and the interior of the house. Very impressed with the pricing and choices available.. Of course the ones I liked had a sold sign! Now off to find a fabricator.
