They are very knowledgeable about more than just the scooters they work on and are very open to discussing vintage rides of all types. They also live what they do for a living. They are avid riders so understand the needs of their customers which is a huge bonus. The recently moved into this new location which is a little better than the last one around the corner. Nicer shop area and separate work station area make it perfect to see what's being done while checking out the finished product at the same time. If there's one thing to remember though that perfection takes time. You can either have it fast (and wrong) or right (and safe). So stop by the new shop and say hello. It's well worth the trip.

TLDR; Family run business that actually cares about their customers…read more When I first stepped into the Vespa Los Angeles showroom, I felt so intimidated. I've never ridden a motorcycle or a Vespa in my life, but always wanted a Vespa. To be completely transparent, I was half expecting the staff to be a bit pretentious and/or stand offish because I may not typically fit into the motorized biking appearance. Boy was I wrong. I was greeted with such open arms the minute I stepped through those front doors. The man who showed me around and answered all the questions I had was so nice and knowledgeable--I came to find out he was Kenny (the store owner)! He was so friendly and warm, which, given my tentativeness, was very much appreciated. He was honest with me when I initially inquired about a model that may have been a bit too much for me. This was not based on my smaller stature or an assumption that I wouldn't be able to handle it, rather, it was only after he heard my reasons as to why I wanted the bigger bike (he asked some fairly direct questions). It made a lot of sense to me that this was not the appropriate bike for me as he walked me through the pros and cons of a more powerful bike (which also cost a lot more), based on my needs, and made me realize that a 150cc was perfect for me. After this eye-opening discussion with Kenny, I was better equipped to make a decision when I was ready to get a bike. During my interactions with Kenny, not once did I feel pressured into buying anything. Kenny truly made me feel comfortable and it became quite apparent that he was passionate about these bikes, regardless of whether I was going to buy one or not; all he wanted to do was make sure I understood what they were all about and that I had all of my questions answered. I was about to leave the store fully stocked with knowledge and freshly invigorated for a future potential purchase, but then something happened...as fate would have it, the cutest Robin's egg blue 150cc Primavera bike happened to roll in, at that exact moment, preparing for its showroom debut. I knew right then and there - that was my Vespa! I immediately put a down payment on that bike because I couldn't stand the idea that it may not be there if I came back another time! I am so glad I did, because it has been so much fun and I'm still in love with it after 3 years! Kenny and his family (Meghan and Lexie) run this shop and they are all so down to Earth, it's very refreshing. They really care about their customers and share the same passion for these bikes as Kenny does. They go above and beyond to build a positive, fun Vespa community. Kenny also established the LA Vespa Club where Vespa enthusiasts meet up and ride as a group through some really fun canyon roads to fun picnic destinations. I've met so many nice people through this club which also helped me gain more seat time and made me a more confident rider. Thanks to Kenny and his family, I truly feel like I'm part of the Vespa community and I'm so grateful I walked into their shop on that fateful day where I wanted to "just look" at Vespas.

We had a confirmation in January with Enterprise, but a week before the start of our trip, we found out that they did NOT have our reservation, and the original company could not come through for us. They recommended Wil at Ride Free Tours and within a few days, Wil had us the convertible that we wanted!! He worked some magic that no other company was able to do. I don't know how he did it, but he is definitely an expert at making things happen! And without breaking the bank. His communication was top-notch, giving us confidence that he was staying on top of our reservation and it came off without a hitch. I would definitely use Ride Free Tours again and hope to some day.

I rode Route 66 in May 2022 and later the Pacific Coast Highway with Ride Free, and both trips…read moreremain among the best adventures I have been on. From a practical standpoint, Ride Free are exceptional. Wil seems to know the roads of the United States the way most people know their local commute. Not just the famous highways, but the right roads, the ones that offer unforgettable views and lead you to small local places you'd never find on your own. His knowledge is encyclopaedic, and it will show when he designs your route. Erin runs operations, accommodation, logistics, pacing are all handled from long experience. Everything is tailored. I wanted small, backwater towns and characterful places to stay rather than major cities, and that's exactly what I got. If you want big cities and landmarks instead, they can do that too. Ride Free can cater just as easily for groups or individuals. I chose to ride alone, deliberately, because it made it easier to talk to locals at each stop and really absorb the places I passed through. Equally, if you want to take on an adventure with your mates -- riding together, sharing the experience, they cater for that just as well. When it comes to the bikes, Wil is first and foremost an experienced rider himself and leads some of the tours. He understands what works over long days in the saddle and will recommend an ideal bike for your trip or source exactly what you want if you have something specific in mind. What I didn't expect was that one of these trips would end up meaning far more to me than "just" a ride. Because of the timing and planning around Route 66, I happened to be in New York immediately beforehand where I met the woman who is now my wife. That part wasn't planned, of course, but Ride Free quite literally set the conditions for it to happen. I suspect they don't often get credited with marriages, but this one belongs on the list. I'll be back for more trips in the future. Ride Free understands bikes, America, and adventures. Finally, if you do end up on Route 66 traveling through Arizona on the way to Nevada, you may find yourself on the Sitgreaves Pass. Near Oatman If you do then stop at the highest point of this winding mountain pass. It's not visible from the road but try to find the cowboy graveyard that I stumbled upon.
