This is a great local business for tool rental. They offer well maintained equipment, a fair price and outstanding service.

Rent Equip in Marble falls has by FAR been the best place for us to rent equipment in both Price and Service. They are very easy to work with and their equipment is in really good shape. We just borrowed a skid-steer for a week and on the second day one of our guys threw a track. We called them at 0600 in the morning and left a message and by 0730 (they open at 0730 BTW) they had a mechanic at our site fixing the track. Also their pickup and drop-off procedures is so much better than those around them. At other places we have had to wait almost 30 minutes for them to find a trailer - then a skid steer - then someone to load it -- etc etc ... At RENT EQUIP by the time we had gone in and done the paperwork (which took less than 5 minutes - the trailer was hooked up and we were on our way. I called about a electric jack hammer, Felix says l, "your in luck, one just came back in". Great, I replied, what time do you close, I'll come get it. He said give us a little bit before you come by, we have to check it out before it goes out again. He did not ask for a hold or credit card. Wife went over since she works close by and they rented it out before she could get there. He tells wife, " he did not ask to hold it." Felix! What an A hole. I'll never set foot in that place again. I rented a pressure washer, drove all the way home, lifted the heavy washer out of my car, hooked it all up. And it didn't work. Went back, where jackasses first said that it was working fine. Guy behind the counter said they were supposed to test them before they go out. "Did you hook a hose to it and try it?" I asked. No, they hadn't. Hooked a hose, then admitted it wasn't working right. Nobody was wearing a mask, nor did they give a crap about wearing them, even though it's the law here in Texas. Had to take another one home, and it worked, fortunately. I'll never do business there again or recommend it to anyone. Terrible business, run by no-give-a-crap people. read more

These guys are whiners. Don't do this. I've rented one particular tool multiple times, use it in the same spot for the same purpose. A recent project required me to dig a pretty big hole (which is quite contrary to my normal situation, in which I'm digging myself out of a pretty big hole). These guys were quick, courteous, and competitively priced. They even had a trencher available on a Saturday afternoon, when all of the big box guys were out of stock. Did I mention they hooked up and disconnected the trailer for me, and spent 30 minutes showing me how to operate the trencher (and avoid dismembering myself)? Rented a 9" chipper from Rent Equip - 5th or 6th time I've rented from them. Every time the equipment is ready when promised, their crew does a great job reviewing the operation, the equipment runs well and the check-in is easy. Stupid me, went back another time because this place was closest. That was a mistake, the owner started being confrontational and acting like his usual, uneducated, ignorant, penile, did I say ignorant? Rude self. We left. Once again, have no intention of ever returning. Feel sorry for his employees. Will drive 12 miles round trip to home depot in south Austin. Yep, they cost more, they are farther away, but they are respectful and appreciate their customers. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else. read more

These guys have been really good to me. I have rented quite a bit of "equip" from them. They consistently go above and beyond. I recently had my backhoe break down in the middle of a job. We rented one from them to get the job done. We had to park our hoe in their lot while we finished up our job. These guys actually worked on my machine. Changed a fuse, and had it running when we got back. Pretty cool. read more

Reserved my equipment well ahead of time. Cody called me a few days before and said it was in and ready to go for me on Saturday. The chipper worked great. Very satisfied with the rental. I''ve continued to give them a chance because I don't feel like driving into Austin to rent a chipper, but 3 times is a charm. Like another review said, their equipment is not well maintained, and when something goes wrong, the owner (Craig) blames you and will never own up to the problems with the equipment. He eventually gives you a refund or a credit for the lost time, but you have to fight for it. Terrible customer service, don't know how they are still in business. If another rental place opens up out in this area he will go out of business. read more

My mother rented an auger from you so her neighbor could build her a pergola. It didn't work correctly, it kept over heating after barely any work being done. She took it back to try and tell you all what was going on and not only would you not listen to her you treated her like crap. You see my mom has a cognitive speech disorder and tries her hardest to still go out and do busy as usual. Sometimes she feels like she can best communicate her situation by writing a letter so that whomever she is doing business with can understand what she is trying to communicate. This is what she did in this situation, and you were not only ugly to her, but you refused to read her letter so you could understand what she was trying to communicate with regard to the auger not working properly. My mother is a retired nurse, she's not dumb, and only in the past couple of years has she had to try and learn to live with this disorder. Events such as this hurt her confidence and you, whoever you are should be ashamed of how you treated her. What I can only assume is that you treat all women that patron your store this way, and if her male neighbor that was with her had spoken a just a little more English you would have treated them much better. PS I tried to find you on Angieslist because I'm a member on there, but I guess I wouldn't put my business on there either if customer service wasn't my thing, and borderline discrimination was. read more

I rented a chipper from these folks a number of times. I dealt mostly with location manager Coby. He was always courteous and worked with me to resolve questions and issues with me in a professional and customer oriented manner. I am a homeowner, not contractor, and this equipment can be a bit daunting at times. read more

Every time I go in here, I tell myself I won't go back - and I won't now! It's always because of how the owner Craig treats everyone. He's a grade-A "A-hole". I'm not exaggerating when I say he is the rudest and most disgraceful person. I can't understand how an owner can treat his patrons like they are scum. He's done it to me for no reason several times and I've seen him do it to other men and women that come in. He shouldn't be interfacing with anyone, let the other guy run the counter ( I think his name is Marshall and he's a decent dude). Craig should stay in the back and turn wrenches or chat with his buddies or whatever else, but don't talk to anyone jerk-off. He's degrading, confrontational, pompous, and treats people like crap. Read other reviews here to see a common theme. The only good reviews are when people come into rent and don't see this PUKE. There's other places to rent in Lakeway or Spicewood, find them and stay away from here. read more
