After years of renting in cities all over, my wife and I basically treated property management services like corrupt dictators that we mostly just don't want to notice us. Carmela and Rose-Anne defied our expectations every single time by being the kindest, most genuine people we've ever rented from. They were incredibly understanding when little things stopped working or when things needed scheduled service. The companies they hired to do services like plumbing and bug spraying were all top of the line and also blew us away with their friendly, neighborly service. Our elderly dog even spent his last months at that house and his end-of-life care was very difficult and caused some wear on the house. Again we were terrified to report it, but when we did, the first thing Rose-Anne and Carmela did was comfort us on the loss of our dog. Worst rental company I've ever dealt with, they lie constantly, they're cheap, and they let our water heater stay not working for over a week and did NOT pro rate our rent. Run for the hills if they are renting a property you are considering living in.... horrible, lying, miserable, despicable "human beings" at this company. Sewage has been coming up in the tub drain for months and they keep claiming to fix it but once again it's not fixed after roto rooter left. Our ceiling is leaking, the swamp cooler smells like fish which they claimed to fix a month ago. Not to mention their attitude every time you call. We've been renting a house from RMSI for three and a half years now. We've had no problems at all, in fact, these folks are great to work with! Any time we've had an issue with the house, all we had to do was call them up and they would have somebody out to repair or replace whatever the problem was in short order. They were even kind enough to give us a three and a half year lease when we asked them for it. They are always friendly and ready to chat. When we first rented from them, the house had just been vacated and a sign put in the yard that day. We were just wandering around looking for a place to rent. We had to talk them into letting us see the house because it hadn't been spruced up yet and they wanted to show it at its best. Once we talked them into it, it only took one look to hook us. The house was on a great lot with a great view in a nice neighborhood renting for a reasonable price. We are glad to have found RMSI and would rent from them again in a heartbeat. read more

RMSI is the epitome of an underhanded, deceitful, sleazy and corrupt company. They are shameless in their crooked dealings. I made the mistake of contracting with them to rent my home while I was working in a different state. Initially they came to inspect the home and to my surprise they were so meticulous that they pointed out things I hadn't noticed in the 5 years I owned the house. I only mention this as the scenario was completely different when the tenants moved out. I had paid over $200 for my house to be professionally cleaned before I left and the house set empty for about 30 days before it was rented. Prior to the tenants moving in the house of course it needed to be dusted, a minor surface cleaning in which they charged my over $350 for. This was ridiculous. At the same time they sent their handyman (we are using this term very loosely) to change a rubber washer in a shower head and allegedly to tighten the nut on the gas cock behind the range in the kitchen. Funny though I installed the range myself and know to a certainty that the nut was properly tightened with the use of nylon tape made for gas fittings. They charged me $175 to do those two things, literally less than 15 minutes of work and that is allowing for the bogus nut tightening. I know cardiac surgeons that don't make that much money. There were plenty of other bogus charges for stuff that didn't need fixing. In total they nearly embezzled my entire first month's rent which was $1195. Anytime I spoke with either Carmella or Roseanne they were annoyingly rude and condescending, as if I didn't have a right to question how they were sending my money. Neither of them have a clue as to the fact that they held a fiduciary responsibility to me not the renter. Once the tenant moved out they again started in with the bogus and overpriced repairs that just so happens to benefit them. They charged so much bullshit, to the outgoing tenant, that "their people" took care of that there was not enough money to repair all of the actual damage in the house that the tenant did. They were not nearly a meticulous inspecting the house for damage when the tenants moved out they missed torn carpet, chips on counter tops, curling iron burns on counter tops and severely damaged floor molding just to mention a few. Their flunky did however replace a garage door remote that the tenant had lost with a used beat-up remote and charged the tenant $75. You can buy a brand new replacement remote for my garage door for less than $30 and it takes about 5 minutes to program. They lined their pockets with as much of my money and the tenant's money as they could and left me with a torn up house and no money to repair it. They are shitty little underhanded criminals that only intend on taking advantage of you and stealing your money. Stay as far away from them as you can, they are scathey!!!! read more

We rented from this company for (unfortunately) 3 years. The entire experience was a nightmare!! Even though we were never late with a payment they still treated me like as if I was always late or never paid. Every time something was broken and I called about it, the first response was "What did you do to it?" I would have to get my husband to call... so ladies beware they respond a lot better to men. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone... This company was a horrible company to rent from, from beginning to end! Every time we called about an issue they seemed like you were bothering them. They sent out horrible people to do the maintenance with no experience, on top of that we're rude and disrespectful.when we seen the house it was filthy, but worked for our family so took the place despite that( not that they cared that the place was dirty). Carmella and Roseanne were both rude at all and anytime we spoke to them. When it came time to move out we cleaned the place were always on top of yard cleaning etc (because although their job if we called them for anything they wouldn't do it properly because they don't pay for quality work Roseanne said so herself) at move out they looked for any reason to charge us...I quote "fingerprints on light switches". So in the end to deal with all of they're attitudes and unprofessional behaviors despite leaving house in tip top shape they charged $800 for "cleaning"( even though wasn't clean when we got it. I rented a home for 2 years with this company. Very nice to began with and never had a problem. When we gave notice that we had bought a home we were told we were model tenants and wish there were more like us. that is until we disagreed with our final walk through with Roseanne. I was told the baseboards were dirty and there was some hair in one of the cabinets in the bathroom. I understand that these things needed to be addressed, but I was charged $438 dollars for the job. Sometimes things get overlooked when cleaning a 2100 sqft. house from top to bottom. When Roseanne said I would be charged for the cleaning I asked her if it would be expensive to clean and she said no. That's when my wife told her the house had some cleaning issues with it when we moved in and her standards for cleanliness was not as high when we moved in. That's when the disagreement began. For the price I was charged I could have hired a maid service to clean every nook and cranny from top to bottom. We were treated like trash because my wife verbally disagreed with the state of the house. After the disagreement Roseanne decided to treat us poorly and as a result our deposit was charged $438. Word to the wise. don't let people treat you like crap just because they can. I don't feel like the house was in the condition we were charge. 4 adults spent 2 days cleaning the house with the hopes of getting most of our deposit back. Next time just move your things and have the carpets shampooed. it's cheaper! Because the ball was in there court and we disagreed with her they decided to stick us with an cleaning fee that was completely over blown. Model tenants but dishonest landlords!!! read more

I would NEVER recommend this company!! We rented from this company for over three years. When we needed something repaired it wasn't always fixed properly or wasn't fixed at all. When we would resign the lease each year the manager would write down repairs that needed to be done and then they were never done. Our stove would over heat and shut down, they sent some to repair it; however, it never was actually fixed. This repair never got followed up on. When we moved out we cleaned the house to where it was cleaner than when we moved in. (When we moved in we had to reclean cabinets, counter tops and floors just to name a few). We got a quarter of our deposit back for this company. We were charged for estimates on charges, not what the actual charge was. When questioned about what they do when they end up not paying as much as the estimate, they keep the difference, it does not go back to the renter. We have actually reached out to the actual home owners so they are aware of the practices and that the house is not up to par for new renters. read more
