Things were fine until we had a series of cold weeks Dec-Jan of 2026. The boiler was leaking significant amounts of hot water to the point that our boiler room turned into a sauna and piping became corroded. Despite various calls and visits from Tanous, the issue was not fixed so we had to bring in a separate plumber to redo all the piping and replace key components of the boiler. We shared photos and videos with Tanous during the period of issues. During a particularly cold weekend without heat, they indicated that they could not send someone out to fix the issues. Our plumber indicated that various parts used in the installation looked to be used/repurposed and key items were misinstalled and they had to overhaul the entire system. The owner from Tanous ("Mike") promised to take care of everything and cover the costs of our plumber once he was back from traveling abroad, but went radio silent after we shared the invoice despite various follow ups from Jan-March of 2026. They also refused to provide their insurance to cover the cost of the repairs. I will never be using Tanous again and would caution anyone considering them for such work in the future.

I called him on a Wednesday and he was able to come the next day, and came right on time. There is a $70 ($) service charge but if you decide to fix whatever needs fixing, it's applied towards the balance. He told us it looked like a certain part was broken and he had the part with him, so he was able to fix it the same day, and at a reasonable price. And then MY MOM, who was impressed by my plexiglass installs, needed 3 window units installed in HER apartment said "give me the guy you used" and guess who came through with a fantabulous price yesterday, SAME DAY, mere HOURS after she called him for the appointment, IN THE MIDDLE OF A NYC JULY HEAT WAVE? And he even arrived early for the appointment! You will not find better pricing, service, friendliness, and expertise than these guys, so if you're reading my review and still putting together your list of options, you've already found it; I've done the research for you. My mom absolutely loved the fact that he cleaned up everything after; no piles of grungey built-up debris, papers or anything left after and surfaces wiped down thoroughly. And the magical wizardry of the plexiglass option; you can barely tell it's there. It's so much nicer looking than the accordions that come with the AC or dull metal paneling, and makes the area look spacious and of course, a better view.
