Last year I was given Billy's contact info from a friend of mine here on the westside of Oahu, called Billy up and told him I needed to replace my AC compressor on my VW Van, Billy told me come by the very next day and he would evacuate it for me so I could replace the compressor, once I did that work, I brought the Van back over to his shop, Billy tested the system for leaks and then refilled it with freon. I bought a used Toyota car it needed some maintenance done on the engine, timing belt, brakes etc. so I needed to find a good honest mechanic. I had Billy do all the work and it went great. He changed the serpentine belt which is a good amount of money in labor but it snapped two weeks later. I had to tow it to Repairs Done Right. it was a separate issue that broke the belt but he fixed it all for free-wouldn't even let me pay for parts. Would not recommend. I Had an oil leak on my Mazda b2200. Billy diagnosed the problem in less than 5min and said it was the rear main seal. Charged me over $630.00 it took him a few days. I picked it up and the next day found oil drippings only getting worse from the same spot. When I brought it back he's telling me to change all types of other things not even close to the rear main seal and say after we fix all that we'll clean it up and see what else is wrong. Idk billy seems cool but real sketchy at the same time. Feels like he trying to milk as much money as he can on me. I won't be back at his shop for sure. read more

First of all...the name says it as it is - "Repairs Done Right". One word sums up Billy and his abilities - STUD! Seriously, this guy and his crew are great! I had called several other local "mobile" mechanics to see if they could assist with my issue. Either they were out of business, they never called back, or once I explained the issue....they said they couldn't help out. Frustration was setting in and I ran into Billy at the local grocery store. I asked him if he would be willing to look at my 1972 FJ40 that was having issues. Understand, there are very few FJ40s on Oahu and most people don't know what to do with them. I supplied the documentation and Billy supplied the expertise. He was extremely easy to work with and more than reasonable with time spent on the job. If you really want to get things done right the first time, Billy is your guy. Seriously, he digs into the issue and if it a vehicle he hasn't worked on before (like mine), he'll do the research and find a solution. I would not hesitate for a nano second to recommend Repairs Done Right for any and all of your automotive issues. I asked you straight up about my brakes and based on your "4 months left" opinion I assumed I had time to wisely save up for a break job. If I would have known it was that bad I would have taken my car to Kaneohe the next week because I obviously had the money if I asked you to look at them! You sound stupid! Thank you Billy!! I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma with 180,000+ miles. In 2019, I came in last minute on a Saturday for an overheating radiator. I didn't know why it was overheating and thought it may just need coolant. Billy tested the radiator with water and after he tested it, it was very obvious that there was a huge underlying crack along the bottom of the radiator. Also, when Billy turned on my truck he noticed a clicking noise and asked if I ever got my timing belt replaced, I said no. He was surprised it had never been replaced because of the amount of mileage I have and stated that he will be taking parts out to replace the radiator, so I would save money by getting the timing belt replaced at the same time. I agreed with his recommendation to get the timing belt replaced and my truck no longer makes clicky noises, also my radiator meter is now always in the middle, not too cold or too hot! My truck runs like brand new!.. Fast forward 8 months to Feb 2020, I made my second visit to Billy's because I felt like my brakes were loose/taking a longer time to come to a complete stop. He drove me around the block and tested the breaks. He said that my breaks seem good and gave me a few tips for freeway driving and when I feel the truck stuttering up an incline. I also asked Billy about my clutch that feels very loose when I shift gears, he tested it out and will be ordering a part for my clutch (more of a preventative replacement) and said he will still check my brakes when I come back for the ordered part to be installed. Which makes me feel so reassured about my brakes! One of the best qualities of Billy is that he walks me through everything he checks and shows me what needs to be replaced, why, and what it should look like.. for example when he checked the dipstick for the oil. Could not tell from where my car's power steering fluid was leaking, but Billy knew right away and quickly pinpointed that it was leaking from the cooler. He showed my husband and me the leak and gave us the option of leaving the car overnight or bringing it back the next day. Well to be honest the name is true as it can be. When my car broke down, ova outside Kapolei. Mr. Billy did not just do the bare minimum he went above and beyond in helping me, easing all the stress and getting all the parts I needed. On top of it he even offered a tow for the same exact price I would get with my discounted tow through insurance. Before I went here I checked out otha places and for the same job these guys did they were already estimating me 700-900 dollars. So I took it in to repairs done right and I am very impressed, these guys did it the day of when the parts came in. Repaired my wheel bearing, spindle, and gave me a whole set of brakes, while including labor and parts it came up to 455 Dollars. All I had to do was wait for one part to came in. Service; was beyond amazing, they have flawless costumer service and you can tell they look for the interest in genuanily helping you and not just for your money. With service like that is what gets people to come back and I haven't been more proud to say I'll be back when ever I have a problem.
