Just had a new roof put onto our Glendale house. The process took from quote to final inspection, 3 weeks. They coordinated with the solar technician to remove and replace the solar panels on my roof and worked with them to ensure all of the rail flashing placements were sealed tight and ready for reinstallation of the panels. I was particularly impressed with the project manager, John Gonzales. He was onsite, communicative about the process and provided updates along the way. More importantly, he was punctual and kept his timeline promises. For the first inspection, he arrived 30 minutes before the window of when the inspector was scheduled to arrive and waited in his car until the inspector came. The crew was very thorough and careful to ensure everything looked clean and sealed tight at every critical spot. They even resurfaced the rooftop AC return to ensure it was not only sealed properly, but to make it look nicer than it did previously. There were no surprise charges or questionable change orders. They spent a good amount of time on the clean up as well, going as far as to thoroughly clean the rain gutters and running magnets over the grounds to catch any loose nails. I had 3 separate bids for this project and Rescue Roofer came in as the most competitive with premium materials (they will give you options to suit your preferences and needs). If you want high pressure sales tactics and false advertising, Rescue Roofer is for you! I booked a paid roof inspection, advertised as being a full 32 point inspection including things such as attic, ventilation, drainage, etc with high resolution photos and detailed descriptions. I asked for them to include an estimate of remaining roof life along with it. Inspector showed up with a trainee, they walked the attic spaces and the roof, all appeared to go fine. The resulting "inspection report" I received was two tiny photos of shingles and a couple sentences of text. Almost nothing advertised was included, such as anything about the attic even though the inspector walked that space. The rest of the "report" was them recommending work, mostly about some expensive shingle rejuvenating oil spray that they refused to give me any details about what it actually contained. After speaking to them initially, I told them I was going to get some competing bids. They responded to this by getting extremely aggressive with me and acting like I was being completely unreasonable looking for multiple bids. Really poured on the high pressure angry sales tactics. I also followed up with them asking for an actual inspection report several times, which they never provided. I had an awful experience with Rescue Roofers. I paid over $19K to get a 1,100-square-foot roof on my mobile home. I have three skylights; during the recent rains, one of my skylights leaked. After several phone calls and emails, broken appointments, apologies, etc., they finally sent someone out to repair the leaking skylight. I pointed out the skylight to the work crew. Forty-five minutes later, they told me the work was done and left. When I checked, they had wrapped black plastic around and over the wrong skylight. I called and emailed Rescue Roofers; they set an appointment, but never showed up. You may have had a good experience with them, but not me. I would never recommend this company to anyone. What you can expect from Rescue Roofer: months of being strung along, unreturned phone calls, ignored emails, mismanaged calendars. Their level of incompetence is scary. We inherited a warranty on their work from the previous home owners, and when our roof started leaking again exactly where Rescue Roofer had "fixed it" in 2022, we decided to take them up on it. At first they were great. Returned my call that very evening and sent someone out within a day! We were impressed. They charged us $350 for the emergency visit, but they really did respond super fast and a portion was going to be applied to the work (which was under warranty) so it seemed like everything was working out! Then it all fell apart. We were completely ghosted for maybe three weeks, meanwhile our roof continued to leak and we were forced to tarp it ourselves (even though they said they would). We tried emailing, calling, texting - and the only time they replied was with a Zoom invite that was meant for another client lol (and yes I almost joined just to get some face time with them). Then they FINALLY got back to us with a proposal... and we'd be paying several thousand out of pocket. So apparently we were on the hook for their previous shoddy patch job and oversight. But at this point it seems like we're at the finish line and we're so tired of the leak and the stained, cracked ceiling above our bed (surely getting moldier by the day) that we agree to it. But then we go right back to being ignored. We spend weeks trying to coordinate this required call that they keep having to cancel and reschedule, and at some point I'm like "What is this call even about?!", and then they're like "Oh, you're right, we don't need a call. You just need to pay and we can start work". We pay and they give us a date a couple weeks out, it's forecast to rain, we try rescheduling everyday leading up to it - and to no surprise the day comes and they're a no call no show. A million calls/text/emails later and it's rescheduled. This time to everyone's surprise they actually show up and do the work. And of course I can't comment on it because it hasn't rained since. BUT they nailed straight through our ceiling and made a decent hole in our wall. Took another few days for them to come back and patch it, and when I realized they didn't intend on matching the wall color, I just let them go because I just couldn't deal with them anymore. Anyway, in summary I'll always regret the day I called Rescue Roofer, and hopefully I can save you from the same fate. read more

3 years ago we had Rescue Rooters repair a small leak on our deck roof. Which according to their employee should have lasted 10 years. Needless to say the roof is now leaking. We called Nahum and explained about the roof. He sent a man out, charging us $350 to look at their failed repair. To repair the leak it will now costs us almost the same as before because, according to Nahum, that was only Phase 1 of the repair. Phase 2 will seal/finish the job by adding a coating. We were never informed of this elusive Phase 2. According to Nahum Phase 1 doesn't come with a warranty. so buyer beware, know your Phases before you choose to have work done by this company. read more

I live in Mission Viejo, CA and got the roof repair done by Rescue Roofers in August 2024. This was not a minor repair job but a partial roof repair job approximately 1500 SF. The job consisted of removing ceramic tiles from the portion of the roof, removing 30 years old original black paper where needed, replacing with two (2) layers of 40# rubberized membrane secured to the entire deck with plastic cap nails. The roof was first covered with 1" X 8 ft plywood, if needed, depending on 30 year damage of the roof. The original or new tiles were replaced. This job was done over about a 2 week time period by 3 workers who worked in the intense Southern California heat (100+F) at the time in southern California this job was underway. These workers were supervised partially during the day. All of the crew was polite, respectful and hard working, They seldom asked for anything and except for their lunch break kept on pushing to complete the task. Every day after completion of the day's work, they cleaned up, sweeped any trash and stacked their tools on one one side, When all the repairs etc. were complete, the complete roof was pressure washed and cleaned, with no remains of trash, mildew etc. left over the years of rain and debri. I contacted rescue roofer a few weeks ago regarding a roof repair that had been botched by them three years ago when they patched our roof for the prior owner back in September 20 20. After only three years and a rain storm, our roof is already leaking again. I set an appointment with them and they attempted to postpone an appointment twice. I would not recommend using Terry or Rescue Roofer. It's mostly due to their inability to respond to communication. We contacted them 3x to simply review a quote. On 3 occasions, they failed to respond. Only with persistence over the phone did they even acknowledge that we contacted them and after many attempts to get answers and a review, we finally realized they were not going to communicate or perform the work as agreed either through lack of desire, knowledge, or simply poor communication. We've done two separate roof repairs with Rescue Roofer. The first was a nearly whole roof paper replacement on a 30-year-old roof. The gentleman who did the inspection spent his whole career in roofing....he knew his trade. He walked my wife and I through every detail and took dozens of pictures. Once the job was quoted, Rescue Roofer then set up a video conference with their estimator and the inspector. They presented 4 or 5 alternatives....all viable. Then the foreman on the job did a pre-construction meeting at our home to arrange scheduling and other details. This was surprisingly helpful....something we would not have asked for on our own. The roofing crew arrived on time every day. They cleaned the yard each day. Most importantly, the foreman was in constant communication with us so that we were always up-to-date on the timing and other issues. Replacing a roof is not a fun or inexpensive experience, but Rescue Roofer was terrific. Professional, communicative, fair pricing (we checked), integrity, follow-through....high compliments for this company. By the way, 6 months later we needed the same work completed for one of two roof sections underneath our solar panels. That second project was equally smooth. I was not upset, because a reputable company would have taken responsibility for the cleanup. Especially after spending nearly $8000.00. Called Rescue Roofer back in august of 2019 for a leak from the winter. Eric Enriquez was very quick to come out and sell this companies work. That's where it all went downhill. It took till January of 2020 for them to finally properly fix my roof leaks. Six visits to my home and two project managers and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. They tried to shortcut the repair from the beginning of the job. I went on my roof to look at the work and was shocked at the way it was performed. Eric claimed my estimate was not written for the amount of flashing needed to correct the leak. Not my problem he wrote it wrong and short cut the repair. After the second visit I called to make payment even Eliza in the office could not find my info. She asked for it again. Again not my problem your company is unorganized. Consumer BEWARE!!
