Technician is a scammer & manager seems to care less! I had them come out to snake my downspout drain that the waterproofers said was barely trickling out. They quoted me $440 to water jet (camera suggested, but additional cost). Said for $1,300 would do both lines in front yard & camera ( that means camera is around $200 per line) but I could apply for financing. I explained that was more than expected, so I'll wait until Spring. Tech goes & sits in van 10-15 minutes, then is on his phone walking around on my yard & driveway 10-15 minutes. Knocks on the door & said he can snake it for $83. Great, do it. He sets up at the downspouting, turns the hose on & goes to work. After a little bit I checked to see how it was going. Slow but ok while later I see 2nd tech standing on the city sidewalk & the snake unit next to him. Not running it, just standing there. About 15 minutes later 1st tech tells me they're done. Can't do anything else & he feels like is collapsed. That beginning 1/3 is PVC pipe & end 1/3 is PVC pipe, but middle is probably old clay pipe & it's probably collapsed because they can't get through it. *I understand he doesn't have x-ray vision & is basing that totally on his work experiences. From about 8 feet away he showed me this bundle of roots & said that is what is clogging up the pipe. He said he took pictures & will email them. I pay them & they say in the van in my driveway 30-45 minutes. I was getting ready for work & periodically would look & see them still there. 3 weeks later the waterproofers had to come out & reroute the sump pump discharge line. They wanted to get it to the line that was snaked. I explained the plumber said it was collapsed -possibly old clay pipe they started at the city sidewalk & dug up the yard, following the pipe they dug all the way to the corner downspouting where the tech started the snaking--its all PVC! No cracks, breaks or missing pieces. Waterproofer lefts the pipe & snaps it at the 1st joint- about 7 feet. Picks it up & tells me the trouble is that there's leaves in 3-4 feet of the joint end of the pipe. He pulled them out easily. He asked if they snaked that end. They said they did, but I didn't see it. He put the hose in the other end at the house & turned it on-water flowed freely. Obviously, the plumber didn't snake that end since only 3-4 feet was leaves. They replaced all the pipe. I looked at the pictures the tech had sent me. If you snake a drain & you're running water in it & you bring the snake back out of the same opening, any roots, debris, etc you pull out should be wet. In one of the pictures he sent me the root blob (the one he physically showed me when he was there) was DRY In a 2nd picture, which was the snake with roots wrapped around it, they were DRY. That makes me feel those were staged pictures & roots he'd picked up from around the house front where the waterproofers had dug. Also, if he said he snaked the line from the city sidewalk up towards the house ( where the waterproofer found 3-4 feet of a 6-7 foot pipe had leaves) then why didn't it go through 3-4 feet of leaves? The water should have flushed out whatever the snake broke up- even if a little bit. I also don't believe he snaked it because he didn't use the hose to get water to that end. He used MY garden hose & MY hose won't remotely reach anywhere near the end of that pipe! At that point, I called the company to lodge a complaint. The manager called me the next day. I explained that I felt the technician didn't snake both ends of the line, lied about it & staged the photos. I felt he said he couldn't do the drain any further because he wanted me to schedule the much higher prices water jetting & camera. The manager said he's never had an issue/ complaint about the tech & didn't believe he'd stage photos. Look at them- DRY roots! And how would they have gotten IN the pipe & him snaked them out when there was no cracks, splits, missing/broken areas on the pipe? Osmosis?! There was a long pause & the manage said he'd bring it up "at the Monday meeting" to all the technicians. He never apologized. Finally, he said he just didn't know what else to say- probably because I called the tech on the carpet! He got caught trying to scam me & schedule another appointment so they can do a more expensive service we get off the phone (that's when I realized about the hose not reaching) & I went to their website. I was going to leave a review, when low & behold I see the "100% satisfaction guaranteed" section on their webpage. Yes Sir, I'd like my money back because all he did was use my electricity & water & lie to me the manager even said "he was clocked in on your job from 9 am-12:30pm,. Three & a half hours for $83, he didn't make any money. He lost money!" I assured him that half of that time was sitting in the van or walking around my property! Since the manager seemed to care less, I called back & requested to speak to someone above that manager. I want my money back. read more

Our basement was taking on water at a frightening pace last week. We guessed it was due to a clogged pipe and called Drainworks who we had used in the past. The technician (I won't call him a plumber) stated he could not help as we had a plumbing problem and Drainworks no longer does plumbing jobs. BTW there would be a $65 service charge for travel time to our residence. Next we called Eco Plumbers. Their service tech told us with a straight face that although water was gushing into the basement through drains in the floor it was not a problem with the pipes but instead he diagnosed we needed to have the basement waterproofed after having consulted with several of Eco's managers. He then generously offered to give us the number of The Basement Authority waterproofers, all the while standing in two inches of water. We were beyond frustrated when we finally called Rooter Works at 4:30 in the afternoon. Anthony arrived around 6:15 pm and after putting a camera through the pipe found an obstruction that turned out to be tree roots. Josh arrived shortly after and together they managed to clear the roots and the drain opened with a swoosh. Relief! Both Anthony and Josh were professional, friendly and efficient. We will not hesitate to call Rooter Works the next time we need real plumbers. read more

Had a home warranty claim for water leaking into basement from some pipes, not the best thing to walk home to after working 8+ hours. Rooter Works was the best reviewed plumber in the area on Google so we gave them a call. Super friendly and prompt with any return calls and kept us in the loop the whole time even if it was just to let us know they're still working on getting someone out. They came that same day and gave us a diagnosis. Unfortunately it was a little more involved to fix that night but the service technician (Brian aka B.T.) was right back first thing in the morning. He was straight with us and told us exactly what he was going to have to do and what he may have to do. We were fully aware of what needed done and what might need done and this re-assured is that he would do a good job. Not only did he complete the repair as described to us, he showed me everything he fixed/replaced and let me get hands on as well with the repair (as much as he was allowed to.) Fast and thorough repair, not to mention super clean. I recently bought a house to find the main line outside is crushed! I called Rooter Works and Jerrod Davis not only directed me in what was wrong, but also pointed out that the water tank was 20 years old then he checked the kitchen sink to find the garbage disposal was wired poorly that could easily cause a fire! And he checked out the bathroom sink and showed me that was a mess also! He was able to patiently wait with the credit company to get credit to fix all the problems! He had to be exhausted and hungry because the time they was here was around 3 hours. I haven't been to the grocery store and I had nothing to offer them but he said he's fine and this plumbing was more important. They went way out of their way to be kind enough to show me all that needs to be done properly including the main water shut off. It was a nightmare hearing all the issues but I feel very confident they will fix all issues with the upmost quality. I noticed the water heater in my father's basement was leaking from the top seal and needed repair. I scheduled an appointment with this company. The technician, Brian, called to come early morning and when I asked him to push back his arrival he was very kind to do so. Brian arrived at a time that was convenient for us. He evaluated our issues and used his professional skills to recognize we had leaks above the area where I saw the water. He was careful to show us the pipe issues and rusted out heater. He gave us an estimate and was able to replace our 17 year old water heater, replace the corroded shut off valves, and repair the leaking pipes. He thoroughly checked all the other joints in our basement to ensure the repair was complete. Brian worked efficiently and kept to his word. Not enough Stars. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone. They were tasked with repairing the diverter value "guts" of a five piece Kohler Jacuzzi Bath faucet ensemble from 1993. The set was Manufacturer discontinued a decade + ago and they no longer make the five piece sets, only four. With a four piece we would have ended up with an extra 2 inch hole in the top of the tub. Non of the local plumbing supply houses had replacement parts for this ensemble. Our Tech "Shoe" spent two weeks looking for parts, working with Kohler, and finally tracked a whole brand new part assembly to a Hialeah, Fl. supplier, had it shipped here and once with parts in hand, had it back together in about an hour. We had a great experience hiring The Rooter Works for our most recent plumbing issue. The fact that it didn't take them a week to get here was huge. Before they arrived I was convinced that there would be damage to our basement drywall as the result of trying to find the source of a newly sprung leak. The water was dripping through the ceiling of our finished basement, not only that but it was dripping around a light fixture. I called the company and set an appointment and the appointment was rescheduled for two days by them due to the technician being stuck on a different job. I was very disappointed and ready to give up on the company due to lack of communication from the scheduling office about the delays. Josh, our tech, was kind and understanding about my frustration. I was very pleased with the service I received. The technician was courteous and knowledgeable of his profession! When I didn't understand the terminology he was quick to explain. He gave me an estimate and was right on when I received my bill. It was a Sunday morning and the emergency fee was only $50. Which was reasonable for the "mess". He gave me suggestions as to how to correct my problem. Which I will do bc this problem happened in the past. No plumbers have ever shared that info with me before! I had a seriously leaking toilet that needed immediate attention. I called at least 4 plumbers & all were scheduled out at least a week. I have never used Rooter before but I will certainly use them for any future plumbing issues. They sent two great guys within 2 hours who replaced the toilet which was almost 20 yrs old- which I intended to do at some point anyway. Had a need for plumbing assistance in putting new shutoff valves underneath the kitchen sink, replace hoses and disposal and replace a cracked sink (caused from a defunct disposal vibrating crazily!). Brian came to give us an estimate this morning, and in that we had the disposal and sink already, Brian said he was ready to start the work. He provided the cost for that valve and proceeded to install the new water heater, the new valve and remove the old unit.
