Thirteen minutes and I am number one in line?
    Mark K.

Do NOT use their early check-in...it is BS. I was using Marriott for all my stays. I am considered a "Titanium Elite" member. Whatever that means. Yes, I request early check-in and I have been waiting for over three hours...even though it was confirmed on their app. Tell me why I should continue using your hotel if you offer a service yet fail to meet that service. You knew I was there at 1230 to check-in and instead of directing your service to prepare the room, you chose to sit on your arse and have me wait in my car for over three hours just to find out the room still is not ready. I do not care how nice the rooms are, if you fail in customer service, then your business fails.

Not only was the stove worn out but it had PAW PRINTS on it!!!!!

I understand some things are scaled back when it comes to hotel stays and COVID. However, I feel compelled to warn anyone considering booking a room here. I have stayed in many Marriott establishments including Residence Inn's and have always felt the rooms were clean and safe. I can no longer say that after my visit to the Residence Inn, White Marsh, MD. The room was filthy. This was a bit concerning given COVID. I had a COVID test prior to coming here to visit our first grandchild and it was negative. I will be having another when I return due to the state of the room. We tried to wipe down some things because it was apparent cleaning was not a strong point of this property. We also found a half drank bottle of water and other items in the dresser drawers. The room was infested with fruit flies in every space. No matter where you looked you could find them. I assume this was likely due to the room not being clean and garbage throughout the hotel hallways and elevator foyers. I did complain about the lack of trash being collected and got a response that it had been picked up. However, I decided to wait to report the other things because given the lack of cleaning, my assumption is all rooms are dirty like how we found ours. Also, I figured they didn't have a refrigerator handle.....read on and see photos. The stove was a wreck and the oven was dirty and had aluminum foil stuck to the racks. And worse of all is the stove had paw prints on it. Another example of not cleaning and what the heck was an animal doing on the stove????? The refrigerator ran with very loud creeks and groans. In addition the handle on the refrigerator was missing. See photos. A cabinet handle was missing on one of the bathroom vanities with just a sharp screw sticking out. Thank goodness we noticed it and didn't learn about it by accidentally hitting it with our legs. See photos. There were stains, dirt or questionable substances on walls and counters. See photos. We had a suite with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. When my husband went downstairs to get clean bath towels he said "May I have 4 towels?" The person appeared to care less and handed him 2. He repeated his request for 4 towels and when she looked at him in a negative way he stated we had 4 people in our room. She asked him "4 people?" And he said "Yes" so she gave in and provided two more towels. The next day he asked for dishwasher soap and was told there was none and it was on back order. I bet if someone went to the grocery store they would find some to get them through until their order arrives. There was lipstick smeared on the inside of the shower curtain. I don't even want to think of how it got there. See photos. When leaving one morning we got off of the elevator and were wearing our masks. The person behind the counter had her mask around her lower chin. A gentleman walked in with his mask in his hand and asked her if he really had to wear it. She stated he didn't and he never put it on. Yes. We could have attempted to find another hotel but given there were 4 of us and we were only there in the morning and evening and the fact we had unpacked and gone to the grocery store as soon as we got there along with doing some of our own cleaning, we decided to rough it out. I don't plan on ever staying there again.

    Missing smoke detector in room.

I typically wouldn't single star a hotel, but Marriott should seriously reconsider if this location fairly represents their brand. My wife and I stayed there using Starwood points since they had the most reasonable rate for points. I'm very glad I didn't use cash for this, or I would have been seriously upset. This hotel appears to be very old and worn. It could really use a good cleaning and pest control. Our room was dirty and had gnats or fruit flies in the kitchen area. There wasn't even a working smoke detector in our room---- just a missing base exposing the wall. There were apparently many of the usual amenities missing and were never replaced. Such as knives, towels and soap. The forks were dirty. I addition, there were dishes loaded already in the dishwasher for us. The fitness cetner was OK, but not great. Breakfast was also so-so. Marriott should seriously consider either renovating or selling this property. Had we known, we would have stayed at the Fairfield.

Bedding and someone's sock under the bed

This place is disgusting. I recently stayed at the Residence Inn in Fulton and had a completely different experience. My job changed where I was working, placing me closer to this location but I regret not driving the extra 30 minutes. We are all dealing with the COVID crisis and this hotel decided to discontinue all housekeeping services. I don't mind doing my own housekeeping, but the hotel needs to give us the supplies to keep our rooms hygienic. I put out my trash the other day for them to pick up and did not receive my trashcan back. I was not supplied with trash bag liners either. My floor is sticky, hangers holding up curtains, stains on furniture and walls, towels are threadbare and the kitchen supplies provided were filthy. Unfortunately I am booked for another six nights but for my remaining 2 months traveling to Baltimore, I will be staying at a different Marriott.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. The prices was great (even on New Years), location, rooms come with full kitchen! Staff was so nice, clean rooms, pool, basketball court, game Room, laundry, gym and much more! Also free full breakfast! It's a mall with plenty of restaurants and movie theater only a 3 minute drive away! I will return!

    A dirty toilet.

First, I must start off with, we had an EXTREMELY LONG 20 hrs drive to Maryland. I called to reserve a room at this hotel and the MOST agitated reservation lady, took my call. She ended up hanging up the phone. I called the Fairfield Inn, this gentleman, was so polite. Although, they were not accepting guests he suggested the Residence Inn. I explained my call with a reservation person. He was very apologetic and he booked the room for me at the Residence inn AND gave me a discount on the room. Fast forward, we arrived for check in around 2:35AM. Recieved the room key for Room #234. I started my COVID-19 disinfectant phase. I get to the bathroom...I find a toilet with dried urine. I IMMEDIATELY go back downstairs...I showed the Front desk lady the pic. She offered NO apology. I asked to change my room. She did it so nonchalantly, like this was a norm. Ok, so I move my things to room #2, Rm #338, I start my COVID-19, disinfection again. I get to the toilet...and THIS seat is disgusting. Im appalled, that certain disinfecting and basic cleaning is not done here. I should not have to come to a HOTEL and clean THEIR toilets, to the point of which I have to clean mine. At the most, I expect like usual, I spray my lysol on the seats and cover with toilet paper. At this point, it was well after 3AM. Super tired, so I cleaned the seat and dealt with it. I'm just in shock. Please be aware of EVERYTHING!

The sheets are so worn they have holes from people's bodies

The staff is nice BUT the policies surrounding COVID and the disrepair are not worth it. There is very little communication about the fact that you cannot get housekeeping service. If you want it you have to be there for 7 days. Also anything you need you need to go get yourself at the front desk because they won't deliver anything to your room. The sheets had holes and we requested new ones twice but never got them. The breakfast says it closes at 9 but everyday we were there they started putting everything away at 845. Then we booked another Marriott on way home and decided to keep driving and cancelled but they won't give us our points back. I mean really? Points? They cost the Marriott NOTHING! I guess the brand as a whole has turned to garbage!!!

I gave it two stars. One for the great staff and the other for the location. Other than that this place is dirty and in disrepair. Marriott should put this management down n notice. From reading other posts, this has been a problem for a long time. From the cracked tiles in bath and elevator floor, to dirt and stains on the walls and doors, not to mention the over zealous air freshener in the halls that are there to hide smells from the old and tired carpet. I am a Platinum Member and stay at Marriott properties exclusively. This place is a mess. DO SOMETHING MARRIOTT!!! Your reputation is on the line.

He was engaging, charismatic, and clearly knew the property and its history inside and out. That kind of welcome makes a difference. We were in Suite 18, which sits in a separate tower connected to the spa. The room itself was well appointed. You can tell nothing in there was inexpensive, and everything was fresh and well maintained, no wear, no chipped paint, nothing neglected. If I'm being honest, some of styling is starting to feel a touch dated in places, but that's a matter of taste more than quality. One note, and to be totally fair it was an unbelievably hot day: when we returned from dinner the room was in the mid to high 70s, and it took about an hour and a half to cool down. The staff explained we needed to lower the thermostat in 2-degree increments rather than setting it straight to our target, and they were right, it worked. Still, that's a bit of a workaround at this price point. A lovely property with genuinely gracious service. We'd stay again.

We were assigned a room on the same floor as the lobby, just past the fitness center. From the outside it was as if we were on the second floor. Our single bed was quite wide, the ceiling above the bed was very high, but the bathroom was small, had no spare toilet paper, and only two hooks to hang anything, which made it tough to hang clean clothing and towels to dry for two guests who do not share towels. Speaking of which, towels provided were limited, so when I found a stain on my bath towel and requested a fresh one, they brought me a whole set. After our time here I saw a video by theholdernessfamily mentioning hotel bathrooms with barn doors that don't close tightly. I didn't realize that was a thing. But it proved true here! Also clear glass shower doors which make it impossible to share the bathroom with a gal pal while someone is showering. Our across the hall neighbor was loud. Not here - everything was polished and elegant. Our hotel room was spacious, with comfortable beds and perhaps some of the best views we've had in years. On the 12th floor, our view happened to include what seemed like all of Baltimore proper, including its waterfront. Better yet, there was a couch placed near the window, so you could have a scenic view as you curl up with a book! The water pressure in the shower was some sort of "rainfall" setup but functionally terrible. Still, that's not a reason to deduct a star :) The event spaces were beautiful as well, with wonderful harbor views. I didn't get the breakfast buffet, but my husband did while I got nails done. I should have known to lower my expectations and suspect something was awry when I noticed the wilted flowers in the foyer. Apparently, the flowers are refreshed on Thursdays, so I just arrived on the wrong day. But there should never be a wrong day to arrive at the Four Seasons! The air in the hotel lobby was hot and stagnant; I was expecting a cool and aromatic experience upon entry, similar to the Intercontinental or the Sonesta. I tried to ignore the decaying flowers because I was greeted warmly by the doormen and the front desk. I was surprised that I had to ask for slippers as I presumed those, mouthwash, and other toiletries would already be in the room. None of those items were in my room. Shockingly, the robe in my room was dirty! Housekeeping apologized and replaced it within 15 minutes. I was also surprised by how rough the towels were as I am used to Frette and linens of that ilk. This is also supposed to be a resort & spa hotel but it did not feel that way at all. I was also surprised by the brand of soaps and hair products they use here: they smelled like clay. The lotion left a gritty feel on the skin. The products were French (called Codage): Je n'aime pas ça. I went to the gym and was surprised they did not have bar pads for the barbells. If the Portland Harbor Hotel can offer pads for the gym equipment, the Four Seasons can too! In fact, I'm surprised they did not have weightlifting gloves. I was happy to see the orange-infused water and the scented & pre-moistened cold compress clothes. That was nice. The pool was closed for the season, so I could not do that. There was a complimentary sound bath session that I could not partake in since I did not order my room directly with the hotel. I'm not that thirsty for a sound bath but I was hoping to take a regular bath; the hotel does not offer bubble bath. The Portland Harbor Hotel does! I decided to take a shower instead but the faucets are not property calibrated: the hot water is cold & the cold water is hot. Then I tried to rest but I kept hearing doors slam at night and more slamming in the morning. I just assumed it was other guests (since there was a convention this week), but when I went to check-out, I noticed the hotel staff slam a door to a room that only hotel staff have access to near the elevators, you can hear the slams at each end of the hotel corridor. This hotel needs to invest in sound mitigation. I was really hoping for a far better stay as I was contemplating a work retreat here. This was my first experience at a Four Seasons property and it was shockingly disappointing. Baltimore deserves better. This felt more like 2 & half Seasons.

I accidentally booked two separate reservations and was a little confused about how checking in again would work, but they were incredibly helpful and made sure I knew exactly what to do. I had to call after waiting for a few minutes for the elevator to "get to my floor" at least Hotel is RIGHT on the corner, so you may miss the entrance if you're not familiar where it's located Its next to Dunkin Donuts, across from 711 and Royal Farms

I spent 5 nights at this hotel on a business trip. I enjoyed my experience and the staff were…read morefriendly and polite. I did have an issue with my toilet not flushing properly. My room was cleaned twice in that 5 day window which was just enough. The common areas were clean. The breakfast offered was good. I stuck to the oatmeal, bagel and coffee. I did have a meal from the bar/hotel restaurant and it was very very good! My room was clean and spacious! I had the issue with the toilet but then also the refrigerator had an ice machine that kept making ice nonstop and made noise on and off throughout the day. My room Was on the 12th floor but the noise outside from the passing traffic and loiters across the street woke me up and kept me up 3 out of those 5 nights. The bed was comfortable and the room was good. The hotel was nice but it's just the noise outside that was the biggest issue.
