Stayed at this hotel over the weekend (work-related), and the rooms were a good size and I love the living room area and that both bedrooms have its own bathroom. I have stayed at this hotel many times. Back in the day it was nice. I haven't stayed here for a while so I thought I would give it a go now. Well, I know why I stopped staying here. The property is distressed. I can't believe Marriott allows them to still use their name. Carpets, walls, cabinets, doors. All broken, scraped, damaged. Toilet didn't flush properly. Curtains had holes in them. Pool was under construction. Parking lot was under construction. Lots of noise all day... pool table no longer exists. It's been replaced with a ping pong table. Alot of people smoking weed in their rooms, and it permeates the hallways. The breakfast hours are very short. Options are reduced and it's always packed with people. What I can say is the staff were very friendly. Helpful. Price has significantly been reduced. It was fairly quiet at night. Air conditioning worked well. TV's worked well. Do NOT use their early check-in...it is BS. I was using Marriott for all my stays. I am considered a "Titanium Elite" member. Whatever that means. Yes, I request early check-in and I have been waiting for over three hours...even though it was confirmed on their app. Tell me why I should continue using your hotel if you offer a service yet fail to meet that service. You knew I was there at 1230 to check-in and instead of directing your service to prepare the room, you chose to sit on your arse and have me wait in my car for over three hours just to find out the room still is not ready. I stayed a week while taking care of business. The staff were friendly and prompt with dealing with any issues. The hotel has free breakfast which was a plus. The room was clean and did not have an odor(I always wipe things down with anti-bacterial wipes). The bed was so comfortable , room was quiet I was on the 4th floor . I understand some things are scaled back when it comes to hotel stays and COVID. However, I feel compelled to warn anyone considering booking a room here. I have stayed in many Marriott establishments including Residence Inn's and have always felt the rooms were clean and safe. I can no longer say that after my visit to the Residence Inn, White Marsh, MD. The room was filthy. This was a bit concerning given COVID. I had a COVID test prior to coming here to visit our first grandchild and it was negative. I will be having another when I return due to the state of the room. We tried to wipe down some things because it was apparent cleaning was not a strong point of this property. We also found a half drank bottle of water and other items in the dresser drawers. The room was infested with fruit flies in every space. No matter where you looked you could find them. I assume this was likely due to the room not being clean and garbage throughout the hotel hallways and elevator foyers. I did complain about the lack of trash being collected and got a response that it had been picked up. However, I decided to wait to report the other things because given the lack of cleaning, my assumption is all rooms are dirty like how we found ours. Also, I figured they didn't have a refrigerator handle.....read on and see photos. The stove was a wreck and the oven was dirty and had aluminum foil stuck to the racks. And worse of all is the stove had paw prints on it. Another example of not cleaning and what the heck was an animal doing on the stove????? The refrigerator ran with very loud creeks and groans. In addition the handle on the refrigerator was missing. See photos. A cabinet handle was missing on one of the bathroom vanities with just a sharp screw sticking out. Thank goodness we noticed it and didn't learn about it by accidentally hitting it with our legs. See photos. There were stains, dirt or questionable substances on walls and counters. See photos. We had a suite with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. When my husband went downstairs to get clean bath towels he said "May I have 4 towels?" The person appeared to care less and handed him 2. He repeated his request for 4 towels and when she looked at him in a negative way he stated we had 4 people in our room. She asked him "4 people?" And he said "Yes" so she gave in and provided two more towels. The next day he asked for dishwasher soap and was told there was none and it was on back order. I bet if someone went to the grocery store they would find some to get them through until their order arrives. There was lipstick smeared on the inside of the shower curtain. I don't even want to think of how it got there. See photos. When leaving one morning we got off of the elevator and were wearing our masks. The person behind the counter had her mask around her lower chin. A gentleman walked in with his mask in his hand and asked her if he really had to wear it. She stated he didn't and he never put it on. Yes. We could have attempted to find another hotel but given there were 4 of us and we were only there in the morning and evening and the fact we had unpacked and gone to the grocery store as soon as we got there along with doing some of our own cleaning, we decided to rough it out. I stayed here for a weekend while in Baltimore for a wedding. I did the pay ahead option since it was cheaper and I knew I would not be cancelling my trip. I was shocked to see there were no king beds available so opted for a queen. Closer to the trip I called to see if a king was available and it turns out they don't even have that as an option. I was pretty disappointed because I am pregnant and with my husband and my pregnancy pillow, it would be tight sleeping quarters. So then I asked about upgrading to a two bedroom suite. Because I did pay ahead I was told I had to cancel online and start another reservation. When I went to do so, the site told me that because I was a prepaid room, it was non-refundable. So, there went that idea. I decided to just stick it out. The room came with four pillows and I asked my husband to get me some more because I decided to use those than bring my huge pregnancy pillow. The customer service representative stated they were all out! Which didn't make sense to us since the hotel wasn't at full capacity per their Covid protocol. So the gentleman gave us two queen comforters to roll up and use. The positive about our room that it was pretty quiet. We had a one bedroom suite and could close the bedroom door. It was super dark and you could not hear activity in the hall as you usually do in most hotels. My final gripe was that my friend stayed in a two bedroom suite a floor down from us (the bride for the wedding). While her room was larger, it was in major need of help. It looked like some soda had exploded all over the wall and the entrance door. In addition, somehow there were rips throughout all the curtains in each room, straight across. When I arrived the area looked nice based off of a glance. Greetings was fair to average. However they earned the word fair because it's always one person that has to be a smarty pants. The studio room was stocked but definitely worn down for the prices they expect. Pros. Spacious. Iron. Cook wear. Hygiene dispensers in bathroom for hair and body. Hair dryer. Large microwave. 2 burners for cooking.Feathered pillows and soft clean bed. Everything worked. Very good complimentary breakfast and clean. 24 hour coffee and tea. Mini store with beer and wine. Bank machine. Fitness. Laundry. Play room for kids. Spacious areas for sitting and mingling. Free Cinemax movies. And dog friendly . Alot more too. Now the cons. The place needs a good cleaning overall but it's not dirty. Needs updating. No hand sanitizer at none of the stations. Carpets needed cleaning. Appliances dingy. No shine to kitchen floor. Very dull in general. Thrifty furniture but not run down. The House keepers are all Spanish so was a little language barrier with a few but it wasn't a problem. They were very nice and friendly. They were accommodating and caught on. My main problem was the dog poop everywhere. People don't clean up after there pets. They even have free bags for the dog poo outside. And trash cans at all the doors. So it's no excuse. Other then that. Would I go back. Yes. It was an average to good experience. read more

My wife and I stayed there using Starwood points since they had the most reasonable rate for points. I'm very glad I didn't use cash for this, or I would have been seriously upset. This hotel appears to be very old and worn. It could really use a good cleaning and pest control. Our room was dirty and had gnats or fruit flies in the kitchen area. There wasn't even a working smoke detector in our room---- just a missing base exposing the wall. There were apparently many of the usual amenities missing and were never replaced. Such as knives, towels and soap. The forks were dirty. I addition, there were dishes loaded already in the dishwasher for us. The fitness cetner was OK, but not great. Breakfast was also so-so. Marriott should seriously consider either renovating or selling this property. Had we known, we would have stayed at the Fairfield. read more

If I could give zero stars and leave a review I would. This was the most bizarre gross disgusting hotel experience I've ever had. It was dirty it lacked simple amenities in our rooms such as toilet paper. Our friends found an empty bottle of vodka in their bathroom cabinet. The staff is very distracted and removed from their jobs. It took three phone calls to reach the front desk on a Sunday evening at 9:30 in order to get a roll of toilet paper. The same pile of dirty sheets has been sitting in the hall since Saturday morning l, we pass it daily. There really are no words to adequately describe the bizarre atmosphere of this hotel - there were three people in the lounge this morning as we left at 7:30 AM that seem to have just woken up after having spent the night on the sofas. There's a car on blocks in the parking lot. This whole environment is the strangest I have ever been in at a hotel. When we checked in we were informed that our two bedroom suite we reserved was no longer available due to plumbing issues we were issued two separate rooms for the same price upon entering the first one we encountered in major smoke smell coming from across the hall and very loud offensive music from the same room. We were transferred to another room but now we were separated from our sons on two separate floors. The particular gentleman at the front desk that evening was the most helpful and semi professional we encountered during this brief stay. I can't believe that Marriott would want their name on this particular franchise location representing their brand. I would never stay at this hotel nor recommend that anyone stay at this hotel run as far as you can to any other hotel! I did call Marriott customer service to let them know and learned that pretty much all residence inns are franchise owned which explains why this is in such a poor state. This extended stay is one of the most poorly managed properties that we have ever stayed at. The housekeeping crew wouldn't know how to clean if they tried. None of them speak a lick of English. The manager hires young kids who don't have a clue about customer service. The rooms are dated. The only bright spot is who I would assume to be the assistant manager she does her best, but the general manager needs to be retrained asap before this property has someone get hurt by the parties and drugs that go unchecked there. read more

This place is disgusting. I recently stayed at the Residence Inn in Fulton and had a completely different experience. My job changed where I was working, placing me closer to this location but I regret not driving the extra 30 minutes. We are all dealing with the COVID crisis and this hotel decided to discontinue all housekeeping services. I don't mind doing my own housekeeping, but the hotel needs to give us the supplies to keep our rooms hygienic. I put out my trash the other day for them to pick up and did not receive my trashcan back. I was not supplied with trash bag liners either. My floor is sticky, hangers holding up curtains, stains on furniture and walls, towels are threadbare and the kitchen supplies provided were filthy. Unfortunately I am booked for another six nights but for my remaining 2 months traveling to Baltimore, I will be staying at a different Marriott. read more

The team here have never let me down. Patrice is always so sweet and constantly smiling and Nikki was very kind as well. I get that parking space in any metro area, even the suburbs, is at a premium. As such, I'm always prepared to pay for parking. I love that as a Marriott Bonvoy member, the parking fee is waived. And the breakfast was individually wrapped items. We're still facing National Health Emergencies and just coming out of a pandemic that shook the nation. The fact they are cautious and considerate of both sides won me over also. Being a hotel that caters to long term guests, many with kiddos, the rooms were well-kept. The usual expected spots were few. Overall, I would hands down recommended this hotel. read more

This hotel badly needs updating. Refrigerator had multiple dents in it, kitchen floor sticky, carpeting in the room looks like it was installed 40 years ago, face plate on wall plug was cracked and piece missing. Room is old and run down which makes it seem dirty. The kitchen floor was dirty and sticky, shoes were sticking to it. The HVAC system is loud when it kicks on & off kept me from having a good nights sleep. Everything other than that was fine, check in was fast, parking lot was jammed with cars but I found the last available spot. Breakfast was okay, not terrible, it was fine. The chair cushions in the breakfast eating area were worn badly. Again the chairs and tables in the eating area look like garbage. Looks like they should be curbside trash, really bad. In general, well below what I consider Marriott's standards. read more

First, I must start off with, we had an EXTREMELY LONG 20 hrs drive to Maryland. I called to reserve a room at this hotel and the MOST agitated reservation lady, took my call. She ended up hanging up the phone. I called the Fairfield Inn, this gentleman, was so polite. Although, they were not accepting guests he suggested the Residence Inn. I explained my call with a reservation person. He was very apologetic and he booked the room for me at the Residence inn AND gave me a discount on the room. Fast forward, we arrived for check in around 2:35AM. Recieved the room key for Room #234. I started my COVID-19 disinfectant phase. I get to the bathroom...I find a toilet with dried urine. I IMMEDIATELY go back downstairs...I showed the Front desk lady the pic. She offered NO apology. I asked to change my room. She did it so nonchalantly, like this was a norm. Ok, so I move my things to room #2, Rm #338, I start my COVID-19, disinfection again. I get to the toilet...and THIS seat is disgusting. Im appalled, that certain disinfecting and basic cleaning is not done here. I should not have to come to a HOTEL and clean THEIR toilets, to the point of which I have to clean mine. At the most, I expect like usual, I spray my lysol on the seats and cover with toilet paper. At this point, it was well after 3AM. Super tired, so I cleaned the seat and dealt with it. The staff is nice BUT the policies surrounding COVID and the disrepair are not worth it. There is very little communication about the fact that you cannot get housekeeping service. If you want it you have to be there for 7 days. Also anything you need you need to go get yourself at the front desk because they won't deliver anything to your room. The sheets had holes and we requested new ones twice but never got them. The breakfast says it closes at 9 but everyday we were there they started putting everything away at 845. Then we booked another Marriott on way home and decided to keep driving and cancelled but they won't give us our points back. I mean really? Points? They cost the Marriott NOTHING! From reading other posts, this has been a problem for a long time. I am in the middle of a week long stay. Prior to my stay I was asked if I wanted room service. With 4 kids and my wife I chose to have room service. On day 5 I still have not had any room service. We are here for a baseball tournament with 20 plus kids and 28 parents. After day 3 they closed the play room and pool, leaving the kids with nothing at all to do between games. The service and the cleanliness I've come to expect from the Marriott family of hotels is grossly lacking here. When we come back next year this hotel will definitely not be a consideration. read more

The Worst Residence Inn We always stay in residence Inn and this is the worst I have ever seen. It started with a "no Party policy" WHAT? Wonder if the huge parties happening at the pool signed this? It went downhill from there. The room was just worn out. Carpets were filthy, the furniture all sagged and was really dirty, the kitchen had a stove that was grimy and there were no oven safe cooking pans, the garbage under the sink was full and even had a baby diaper in it. THIS IS NOT RI's standards at all! Garbage sat by the grill area outside overflowing the two days we were there. Do not waste your money on this property. Pros: Extended stay room accommodations, free continental breakfast, close proximity to major shopping areas, located in the suburbs of Maryland Cons: Busy hotel, small recreational area, small pool I quite enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn in late July of 2015. The rooms are by no means large but I feel they are quite amiable for any period of stay. I was pleased to find some of the amenities of home inside of my room including a full kitchen equipped with miscellaneous cooking items such as a toaster, a full fridge, and baking ware. The hotel is located twenty minutes outside of the city of baltimore in one of the more prominent suburbs nearest to the city. I quite enjoyed the scenery, the close proximity to nearby shopping malls and restaurants, and the cleanliness of the hotel. They also curate a social on select evenings with complimentary beer and wine. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend staying here if you're in the area. read more

By fate, Hurricane Bill decided it would be a great idea to make us stop here for the night and regroup before the morning. It's an ideal business hotel: they give you high speed internet connections, all the amenities needed for an extended road trip, and TVs in each of the rooms (we had a double suite, which worked out perfectly as the two separate rooms were separated by a den/kitchen area). At what was to be a celebratory local event we received a call at 8p from hotel but they left no message. Using recent call function, we returned call and it was hotel asking us if we were still checking in. We explained yes but that we were at event and not sure exactly when we would arrive. They asked if we were sure we would come and we confirmed and reiterated that we had credit card reservation. Upon arrival the front desk greeted by name and then we learned that there was no room for us. They gave our room away due to overbooking and informed us that they gave us comparable room at sister Hampton Inn. We complained since we spoke to the same front desk person and confirmed with them that we were in fact coming. They obviously knew they screwed us since they greeted us by name. Moreover, I front desk person TWICE - once before and after to confirm room at other hotel was non smoking due to allergies. She called over and made a face (grimace) but assured us room was non-smoking!! When we arrived at other hotel - they told us only available room was a former smoking room etc (see related review) AND that they told person at Residence Inn just 15 minutes ago (alternate hotel nearby). Lysing, horrible evening front desk staff on Sat, July 19! They ruined what started to be a great weekend and have no regard for fact that we are frequent hotel guest at other hotels in same chain throughout entire year. Yay! I've been staying at the Fairfield (owned by the same people) while in MD for business but one weekend, I planned for my family + dog to come visit me. The Fairfield is not pet-friendly but the Residence is, so I arranged to stay in the studio suite for a few nights. The good: - There's a kitchen in the room. It's not elaborate, but it gets the job done. They have pots, pans, plates, and utensils for your use. There's a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and an electric stove top (with just two burners). - The sink is separate from the bathroom (where the tub and toilet are) so it's a bit easier and more efficient getting ready in the morning. People can brush their teeth while someone's showering. - There's a couch and desk area in the room, kitchen island for eating, and a bed, and the television swivels to all angles so you can watch from pretty much every spot. The bad: - It was really clammy in our room, for some reason, and I believe we were assigned a room in the "pet hallway." We heard a bunch of dogs barking from the hallway (but not from our room - pretty good sound proofing) and both my sister and I had an allergic reaction when we first got in our room. We hypothesize that a cat might have been staying in the room before us and that the cleaning crew might not have cleaned the room enough. - This is a snooty complaint but a few days in a row, the cleaning crew loaded the dishwasher weirdly so that a lot of our dishes remained dirty. Even when I pre-loaded it myself and left a few dishes out (on purpose) the crew would add those dishes in weird spots and block the dirty parts of other dishes and ruin the load! Overall though, I had a good experience here. My family agreed that it was an enjoyable stay and the puppy had no complaints. He had a bit of trouble sleeping because he heard people and dogs in the hallway, but his barking didn't seem to bother any of the other guests. I think the soundproofing from room to room was pretty decent (but not from room to hallway). read more

I am in the MD Air National Guard and whenever I have to do home site training that requires multiple days, I always look to stay at the Residence Inn in White Marsh first. It is in a great location with food and entertainment right there. They even provide a shuttle until midnight. The staff is fantastic. They always go out of their way to learn my name and very few requests have gone unfulfilled. I love the pool in the summer as well as the grill on the patio. It really helps me to feel at home. Even the kitchen has everything I need to give me a few home cooked meals during my stays there. Another great features is the time that they take to have mingling sessions. They usually end up with good times and lots of good conversation and laughs. They also provide a couple of meals a week. Not bad at all. I would and have recommended this hotel to my fellow guardsmen. You will not be disappointed. read more

We stay at Residence Inn, by Marriott as often as possible. Almost without FAIL, they are updated, the bedding, the furnishings and, most recently, they really keep up with numerous additional electrical outlets, probably based on research done by SOME entity that keeps hotel groups well aligned with the # of "devices" the average American carries. Unfortunately, we just stayed in 2 rooms for 2 days in a Rezzie Inn where NONE of these had been updated. The furnishings were actually broken down(I KNOW!!!!!), and almost nothing was charged for the next leg of our trip! We were disappointed, but the world didn't end.We're certain it's all "on the schedule"! But if these things matter to you, please phone ahead!! This place was great. We had such a nice fellow check us in. The one problem during check in was one of the employees (female) read a shirt that my friend had on which said "I do sex toy parties" and she stared us down and when I asked her why was she looking at us that way she replied "Are you guys having a party upstairs?" Which we werent we was just checking in. The other employees were super nice and very accomadating. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. I wish I would have taken pictures. Everytime the desk clerk that checked us in saw us he greated us with a great smile and conversation. I had to call down to the front desk once and the woman that answered was super polite and cheery. I called cause the TV was staticy I wanted to get that fixed. A maid came and I explained the prob she left and said she would get maintenance but never came back. Slight prob tho, it wasnt so bad that we couldnt watch the TV. I like this place, i recommend it and would def visit again. The lobby, had pool table, fire place free breakfast including fresh waffles (you make yourself). Theres a basket ball court too. They have a pool but since it is fall the pool was closed. Loved it here. Close to a lot of things too. read more

The front desk staff was great during my check in, and the lobby was very picturesque. The 1 bed Queen suite was wonderful and very cozy. The hotel has a pool, basketball court, and a fitness room. Just finished a 2 night stay here. The service was excellent and the breakfast buffet did the job. Nothing fancy but plenty of basic breakfast goodies. My room was spacious and immaculate. The bed was comfortable. I was able to sleep well. Couple of minor issues. First, when I arrived in my room I found one of the curtain poles standing against the wall by the curtains. Not major, it was still easy to close them. And when I returned to the hotel the next afternoon, it had been fixed and a note was left for me. Second, in the Fitness Center, the treadmills are way too close together. There are only 2 of them and jogging on it with someone using the other felt like 2 people sleeping on an army cot. But again, in the scheme of things, those were minor. I would stay here again. read more

We got this place booked by Priceline express deals. When we arrived this place really charmed us. Its proximity to a near by mall, food stores and gas stations is very convenient for the people who decide to stay here. The room was clean with nice interior. The pillows and bed sheets and covers were all clean. The staff members were friendly. The breakfast was awesome. There were utensils in the kitchen to use, had chopping board too :-). I spoke with a black young lady who could barely keep her eyes open by tje name of Cheyenne I believe. I asked her at the desk if she could give me a 9:00am wakeup call and she said sure. When I called down from my room and asked her if she set my wakeup call she said that she did. Then she asked me what time was it for? I then said to her I thought you said that you already set it. She then said that I never gave her the time of the wake up. Beds are comfortable butalarm clock not plugged in and house phone does not work. read more

Hello, On August 10, 2018 I stayed at the Marriot Residence Inn, White Marsh, MD in room 105. Upon checking out on August 11, 2018 I realized that I had left two items in the bathroom - a 2kt and .25kt earring. I immediately contacted the hotel. I was told that I would need to speak with the housekeeping manager and to leave a voicemail message. I left a message for the housekeeping manager and then called the front desk again to try and get answers. The front desk indicated there was nothing they could do and for me to wait on a return phone call. Today is Tuesday, August 21 and I have yet to get any response. This morning I tried to contact the hotel directly again. I spoke with the hotel manager. She indicated that the housekeeping manager was on vacation and that she would give her a call and call me back. I waited on a return phone call and eventually contacted the hotel manager again. She then tells me that she contacted the housekeeping manager and the person that cleaned the room and neither of them can account for the items. I ask her what else can be done....she basically tells me to fill out a police report. So not only did they take forever to communicate with me but someone has made off with my jewelry...smh! read more

This stay at White Marsh Marriott Residence Inn was the WORST ever ever ever!! There was NOTHING good about our stay. What a waste of money!! Stay somewhere else until they clean up their hotel. We have stayed at many Marriott Residence Inns with our last stay being 4 weeks straight this summer before we stayed at this White Marsh location. We were so pleased with the accommodations. It was top notch like all of our other Marriott Residence Inn stays. But NOT this White Marsh Marriott Residence Inn. Filthy filthy filthy! Just DIRTY and not clean! Our room was so filthy and there was a huge ant problem in there and probably some roaches hanging out there too. We saw and killed a roach in our hotel room. There were ants crawling on the table and floor. When we got into bed, there was a dead ant in the linen. All night, it felt there was something crawling on us. The carpet was so dirty and sticky that the bottoms of our feet became dirty after walking barefoot in our room. It smelled like cigarette smoke in our room even though the hotel is supposed to be a smoke free hotel. I coughed and sneezed from the moment that we entered our room. The kitchen oven top was dirty like it had not been wiped off. The bathroom shower curtain had a black mildew stain on it. The breakfast was terrible! It was cold and tasted old. Not fresh at all. The evening mixer on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings was a big joke. The staff couldn't decide when it was actually being held. Although it was advertised on the hotel chalkboard as being from 630pm - 9pm (yes, this was written on the hotel chalkboard and plainly seen as you walk in) the desk staff couldn't decide on when the evening mixers were. We pointed them to the sign and they said, "Oh, that's a mistake." Then the next night, we were told a different time. It was like the staff were making up time to fit their convenience. Who knows when? After staying one night in this filthy mess, we checked out the next evening. We were supposed to stay for 7 days. There's was no way that we were going to spend another night in that filth. When we checked out, the evening desk staff said that they would let the manager know of our issues and that they would be in contact with us. No one has reached out to us. Again, steer clear of this hotel. You will regret it as we have. We gave them 1 star which was being very generous. read more

We are a family of four staying in a two bedroom suite. The suite is really nice with a full kitchen, 2 full baths, living room and 2 bedrooms. The only prob so far is that this room could be cleaner and wiped down a bit more. I feel dirty touching everything. read more

I was very nervous in the beginning because I had an emergency wedding to go to( originally they planned to get married in Nov 2017. But decided to do it in less then a month instead ), I was concerned about finding a place where my ferrets, myself,my fiance and future mother in law could comfortably stay during such a happy but stressful occasion . After a quick chat with the very nice, but very busy Cory the general manager, I was able to confirm that my ferrets could come a long and all my stress was removed about where to stay. He was so kind on the phone, and had apologized for not calling me back sooner since he was busy. Honestly I was amazed to get in touch with him so fast! I had no clue that the same relaxation would follow me to the hotel. Everything was just perfect. This place was absolutely amazing. I loved the room, I loved the bed room being separate from the fold out couch. There was a great kitchen set with stove, microwave, refrigerator and all kinds of cooking supplies. Breakfast was amazing and free. The people who also were staying get there were polite and kind. I loved the waffle maker and the orange juice! The staff was professional and so kind. They even gave out small smoothies, I have no clue what the one I had was but it was amazing. The only small hiccup I had was I had never stayed in a hotel so when I first got there I was confused for how the key card worked, you place it in then wait for the green light then turn the handle. I saw a nice cleaning lady down the hall, she stopped everything to help out and was so kind!! She also made me feel so welcomed even though I had disrupted her work. She was so pleasant. I can't find anything I could ever complain about, except that we never got to try everything out in the hotel cause there was so much there. A laundry room, dry cleaning (a slip was in our rokm, this service would have cost) grocery list you could give them to get for you with brands of specific items you wanted. (cost as well, but completely convienant ) Exercise room, pool table, computer in the lobby with a scanner, swimming pool and hot tub. Not to mention a small little convienant shop next to the check in desk! There was popcorn, coffee pack for free in the room. There was a dish washer, a dish disposer, the shower worked very nice. Absolutely loved the hotel. I will definitely stay again. My ferrets also loved the hotel, and usually one of them is very disrupted by big changes, but they were relaxed and comfortable the whole time. The area around the hotel was also very nice, you are near so many restaurants and stores. There was a McDonald's, taco bell, and exon in very close proximity you could easily walk to it. Everything was truly perfect, and I was so sad when it was time to leave because I truly felt at home in that hotel. When they say they get every detail, they truly do. Even checking out was painless and so quick!! The next time I am traveling with my ferrets, I will definitely be staying there again!! Very clean for a dog-friendly hotel. Large layout and suite. Breakfast was great and had plenty of room to sit. Downside was the other guests... lots of loud people outside after 11pm, kids running amuck in the lobby, messing up breakfast area and hogging waffle maker. I am in the midst of an extended stay here and, in general, really like Residence Inns. We have stayed at a number because we are Marriott Rewards members who have a dog, and as far as I know they are always pet friendly. They are also usually pretty spacious. There are some good things about this property. The location is pretty good--just outside of Baltimore, close to freeway entrances, close to the mall and chain restaurants, etc. Also the staff has been quite friendly and helpful both in advance of our stay and during. The bad is that this property is not clean. At least our room, beginning out in the hallway and extending throughout the room, has clearly not been cleaned well daily, nor has it been scrubbed or deep cleaned anytime recently. I am absolutely not a neat freak or anything approaching a germaphobe and yet I have found myself wiping down surfaces with cleaning products because it's obvious no one else has. There is dust collected in the corners and edges of the carpet, weird splatters and stains on the wallpaper throughout (including smashed bugs), large stains set in the carpeting, dust hanging out of the HVAC grates, mold all over the bathroom ceiling, spider webs in 3 out of 4 bathroom corners, and when we arrived there were two old towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door, which shows you how well housekeeping cleans the place. Pretty hard to clean the bathroom floor or tub with the door open. In addition, this is one of the smaller Residence Inn rooms we have stayed in. Granted we have two adults, a dog and an infant, so a single adult wouldn't have a problem with the room size, but we have found that it has the same amount of furniture of other properties we have stayed in although it has significantly less square footage. (And that furniture--specifically the couch, is not particularly comfortable, but that's a problem for another day.) I still will seek out Residence Inns when we travel, I just will not be returning to this one, nor would I recommend it to anyone I like. read more

Old, worn, and do not find someone else's hair in bathroom. Guests are noisy and talk all night in hallways while doors slam. Better off staying at the Fairfield Inn. read more
