The maintenance staff did a great job cleaning the area... but there still wasn't any damages.

Initially our stay was great. I was greeted warmly and was able to pick which room I wanted. Entering the room was clean and comfortable which is basically all someone can really ask for at a hotel. Breakfast was mostly plain, nothing special but appreciated and got the job done. The ISSUE began when I accidentally broke my foundation (make up) bottle in the bathroom/ vanity area. I called the front desk IMMEDIATELY and asked them for housekeeping AND an emergency clean up. I was told "We will clean your room TOMORROW because we are backed up with house keeping. I explained to them that the spill was an EMERGENCY because I didn't want the stain to set in the tile and there was glass and I had any one year old son. They said "we will call you back". They called backed and told me someone one would arrive 30-40mins! I said ok and used ALL the towels to clean the mess the best I could. Once I left the hotel for hiking I got a phone call telling me they will have to charge me $150 dollars for the spill. They said there was a stain in the living room carpet that would not come out and that it was hair dye. I let them know that I did not have any hair dye and that the spill was in the bathroom area. My husband and son was securely in the living room space so that my baby would not have access to the glass on the tile floor, so it was impossible for whatever they stain to be cause by me. The woman told me she had not looked at it herself so she would take photos than would call me back and would NOT charge my card until they were sure. She called back and said it was hair dye and I would be charged. Because I was out and did not know what she was referring to I told her I understood and would follow up when I returned. Once I returned to the room the make up spill was cleaned and the space was immaculate! Although they had NOT SERVICED IN TERMS OF HOUSEKEEPING (NO TOWELS, TRASH, BED UNMADE ETC...) There also wasn't ANY STAIN IN THE LIVING ROOM AREA! I searched thoroughly and still couldn't understood what damage I was being charged $150 dollars for! I went down stairs and got the run around. First the lady at the counter couldn't help me so she called the housekeeping supervisors. I spoke to them for almost 20mins just for them to NOT be able to explain the charge or reverse it. They said the manager that authorized the cost was the only person who could explain the fee and reverse the fee. I asked them to contact her seeing that she was contacted to charge me in the first place. They recommended me talking to her the next day face to face and not on her "off day". They also said she decided on the fee by looking at photos of the spill, NOT how the space looked after they cleaned jt. I told them I respected their opinion and would speak with her the next day. The next day I finally spoke with Mandy the manager and initially she said she would lower the cost to $100. I told her I still didn't feel that was fair because there wasn't any damage to the space. She said she would wave the fee. Once I checked out my receipt was wrong and still had the $150 on it. I had to return to the hotel to fix it with Mandy. She said she "fixed" it. I was grateful. Until the transaction cleared days later and only $50 was returned to my account. I called Mandy the Manager and she said she would look into it further than would call me back. This was at 10am... by 3:30pm I called again to follow up. She verified my number and promised she would call me that evening to clarify. By 9pm I still had not received a call so I called AGAIN. Mandy was off of work and not available......... I asked for the number to corporate and was given an automated number. I was told I could leave my number for David the General Manager and he would give me a call. David never called. I called back this morning neither Mandy or David was available. I had to search google to contact corporate because to be honest at this point I felt I was being put on the back burner in terms of customer service because of probable racial bias. I spoke with corporate and was able to file a complaint. I called one last time and was able to speak to another manager Mindy who was very helpful explaining that the $100 would be returned to my account and was an "authorization" hold. I still don't comprehend how they took an entire EXTRA $150 immediately but only returned $50 and the remaining is an Authorized hood. But. What could I do about that? Mindy resent the receipt and explained that the tensing funds should apprear in my account soon. She also told me if there was an issue with the bank releasing the funds she would personally speak to them. OVERALL the hotel was pleasant, clean and has an incredible hard working staff. My review is two stars based on the poor customer service I personally received. I don't believe it proper to play with peoples money because they didn't play about taking it in the first place.

We got a nice corner king room and one nice thing about the stay - very quiet. Solid construction. It's nice to have a room where you don't hear guests stomping around upstairs. Loved that it is a pet friendly property too. Our little pooch is quiet and well behaved and made a lot of friends during our stay. Nice having 13 Coins downstairs as it's always a solid choice. Very handy to just pop out of the elevator and head to a nice restaurant. If you feel like dim sum - just head over the skybridge to Din Tai Fung. Love that option too. Definitely recommended. Only slight disappointment was no spa/hot tub on the workout floor. Good stuff.

I was upgraded into a 1500 sq foot suite and not only was it beyond beautiful, but the special touches with photos of local moments in the area made the room even more inviting. Mountainous sunset views from the room mountain were unmatched. Food was tasty at the in-house restaurant, great event space if looking to host a meeting or special event, and their on site Café has delicious drinks and makes all of their own syrups. While it was only a 20 minute car ride into Seattle, there will soon be public transportation connecting Seattle and Bellevue for even faster access to the larger city. If looking to go to Seattle, but wanting a quieter place to stay in retreat too. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Zero initiative or urgency by the staff to get an elevator repair company out pronto. It's been two days with only one elevator working out of three, and long lines waiting to take one elevator stopping at every single floor in a hot elevator. My king bed had queen sheets that didn't cover the mattress and I had to call down to get them changed to the correct sheets, unreal. Mobile check-in in the Marriott Bonvoy app doesn't work for this property. All of the hydration stations were broken and the glass "vases" you're supposed to use to get water were all dirty. No one ever picks up the phone from an outside line. Extremely lethargic staff that seem to be very lazy and have no care in the world. Air conditioner shuts off after you leave the room so if you're gone for a few hours you come back to the room being hot and it takes over an hour to cool back down. Overpriced Valet and overpriced hotel. Very low end service and experience. Aesthetically a nice looking property but all these mishaps should NOT happen!

With two people on my reservation, I was given two vouchers for a drink or appetizer at the Solarium bar, which were very easily used with great options (separate review). We also got $30 daily food & beverage credit ($15/person) which I also easily redeemed (and tips count! Also separate review, but shout-out to Hieu for being a one man army in there sometimes). My room was very spacious and had a great large working desk. The gym was adequate and well stocked with towels and cold water. It's a little dated in some ways like the benches but there is a Peloton! The night staff are also incredibly helpful, both getting me a leftover box from the closed kitchen and helping me to reset some room keys that got deactivated accidentally. I actually never ate breakfast here, so can't review. Had dinner almost every night and they even did to-go easily (otherwise reviewing the Solarium Bar separately). A small hidden perk is that the giant parking lot is often used for Uber drivers starting the day. Every day, my Uber arrived in less than two minutes from when I called it. Also located very well on the Redmond light rail. Can't wait for it to open all the way to downtown but I rode it up to Bellevue easily. I would say the only hiccup here was that room service has both a $4 fee and 21% mandatory gratuity. It makes a $20 salad into $31+! But that is my fault for calling in and not reading the menu fine print.

RACISM FROM GMA LOWANA!!…read more My family and I stayed at the Hilton Bellevue after returning from a seven-day Alaskan cruise. We had a late flight with a long layover and simply needed a place to rest for a few hours before heading to the airport. We booked a Day Use room and were told our checkout time was 6:00 PM. Instead of treating us with courtesy, a manager named Lowana came to my door, my mother's door, and my sister's door around 5:10 PM, pounding aggressively and demanding that we leave immediately. We were made to feel like we had done something wrong. Even if the hotel's position was that checkout was 5:00 PM, no guest deserves to be treated this way. A simple phone call or a polite knock would have been appropriate. Instead, we were humiliated, intimidated, and treated with complete disrespect. I reported this experience to Hilton's Executive Office because I genuinely believe my family was treated differently because we are Black. I requested a thorough investigation, but despite being told someone would follow up, no one has meaningfully addressed our concerns. Every guest deserves dignity and respect. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at the Hilton Bellevue.
