The letter did not identify any specific statement it contends is false. I asked its counsel to identify the exact language at issue and the factual basis for claiming it is false. The attorney has emailed me several times but will not tell me what behavior I need to cease and desist even though she sent me a cease and desist. Whether you are a tenant or not, this conduct is highly concerning. I am happy to correct what is shown to be wrong. I am prepared to defend what I wrote and have the facts evaluated through the judicial process. Original review: My experience with Millennium Santa Monica's lease-renewal process has been so disturbing that I am now considering complaints to government authorities and legal action. Here is exactly what happened. During my renewal negotiations, I repeatedly asked for a 12-month renewal with two months free. Management repeatedly told me that was not available. Among the explanations I received were that: * Two months free required me to sign an 18-month renewal * Concessions and promotions were being eliminated * Increased occupancy supported reducing or eliminating concessions * Fair Housing and consistent-treatment requirements prevented management from applying the two-month promotional structure to a shorter renewal term I did not want an 18-month lease. Based on those representations, however, I ultimately agreed to the longer term in order to receive the two-month concession. Then, within less than 15 days of signing, Millennium Santa Monica's own website was advertising up to eight weeks free on available one-bedroom apartments with 12-month lease terms. What makes this even more troubling is that management had previously offered to let me remain at my existing gross rental rate through August 17 while I continued evaluating my options. The new promotion ran through that same period. Had I simply taken the extension instead of relying on what management told me and signing the 18-month renewal, I would have been able to see the exact type of 12-month promotional structure I had repeatedly requested. I escalated this to TDC and laid out the issue in detail. I specifically asked them to explain when the eight-week promotion was conceived and approved, why I had been told two months free required an 18-month commitment, why Fair Housing and consistent treatment had been cited as reasons the same concession could not be offered on 12 months, and what supported management's statements that concessions were ending. TDC said it completed a review and denied my request to correct the lease. What I found remarkable was what its final response did not answer. It did not tell me when the later promotion was approved. It did not tell me whether the representations made to me were accurate when they were made. It did not explain the Fair Housing rationale. It did not explain what occupancy information supported the statements I received. It did not explain the apparent contradiction between telling me that two months free required an 18-month renewal and then publicly advertising eight weeks free on 12-month leases shortly afterward. Instead, TDC emphasized that I had knowingly selected and signed the 18-month lease. I have never disputed that. My complaint is about the information I was given that caused me to select that option in the first place. After this experience, I feel profoundly deceived by the renewal process. I genuinely came away feeling as though I had been defrauded into taking a longer contractual commitment than I wanted. Prospective residents can review these facts and reach their own conclusions. My recommendation is simple: if you are considering signing or renewing here, get every representation concerning pricing, concessions, promotions, and lease terms in writing, preserve everything, and independently verify what you are being told before signing. I wish I had.

Started with Andrea Lopez the Leasing Agent who was very patient with me and my wife. Showed us few appointment and was available at anytime and any questions we had, even few days after. When we finally decided to sign the leas, also all the process was online and easy. ( she was prepared perfectly to protect us from the Covid 19 and especially since my wife is in advanced pregnancy) Than when we finally sign the lease the "madness"started the building management, and especially the manger John was so kind, got us the apartment ready in less than a week. My family was so worried and I was having nightmares until my Doctor asked to vacate and he sent a letter to them so I left. The place look clean on the outside but once you moved in you find out how dirty they keep the place. You see the cleaning crew socializing and talking loud without any respect for tenants. This place is for retired people and some of them are disabled and need a place where they feel safe so this place is definitely not the right place to live. The kitchen and bathrooms have modern features in them. The apt came furnished and the neighbors have been quiet and respectful. This has been a safe and secure place for our freshman daughter. The complex has been on top of any maintenance issue or question they have had. Initially, I was a little worried about moving her into an apt her freshman year, but it's been a wonderful experience. The Palomar is a few blocks east of the Hammer and Westwood Village right on Wilshire Blvd nestled amongst the blvd's many chichi high-rise condominium complexes. I believe the hotel was originally a Doubletree and was redone in 2017 as the Kimpton Palomar. There are 3 other Kimpton Palomar's nationwide. The hotel is a simple rectangular structure with rooms facing north or south. There are a few levels of parking (valet and self) between the ground floor lobby and the guestrooms. The lobby has a hip vibe with its large contemporary "living room". There is an all-day restaurant, Double Take, which has an adjacent Game Room with retro games like a pool table, darts, shuffleboard, etc. There's also a "bodega" next to the front desk that offers snacks and drinks, including alcoholic. Ice water is always available, and there is sometimes a Welcome Spritz (spirit-free) by the front desk. Plus there are bikes available. The petite pool and sun deck are behind the hotel. Note your room rate includes an Amenity Fee, which includes a $15 to use at Double Take or the Bodega. Most everything at the Bodega is $5 and up. I also noticed in the morning, Double Take is a fast casual concept where you order, are given a number, seat yourself and the food is brought to you. There was quite a line in the morning, since there really is nowhere else super-close to eat without walking about 10 minutes. The Amenity Fee also includes rideshare drop off within 2 miles, arranged by the front desk, once per day. There's an afternoon Wine Hour and coffee/tea in the morning. I was able to check in early (thank you Stuart) and got a higher floor room facing north (Wilshire Blvd and the mountains beyond) at the end of the hall--a quieter area but I think these rooms are also smaller. The room had an expectedly contemporary vibe but showed some wear and tear. I did not really care that the desk was a high-top with a bar stool-height chair. Also no outlets or USB ports by the desk. I did like the fridge, and the bathroom was pleasant. Overall a pleasant short stay. And LULU at the Hammer was excellent.
