What wasn't understandable was waiting over 2 1/2 hours without a single standby patient being called. Throughout that time, they took scheduled appointments (as they should), but they also took patients who arrived early for later appointments while every standby patient continued to wait. The posted sign says "Walk-ins Welcome" with a wait expected, but it appears this location doesn't meaningfully accommodate walk-ins at all. We asked the staff multiple times whether they would be taking standby patients, and each time we were told, "Yes." Yet after more than 2 1/2 hours, not a single standby patient had been seen. To make matters worse, I was fasting for my blood work and ultimately had to leave without getting my labs done. I wasted an entire morning for nothing and now have to find another location to complete the testing. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and I will not be returning to this Quest location. If you're planning to come as a walk-in, I would strongly recommend making an appointment elsewhere instead

This was my first visit to Quest Diagnostics in a long time. I had been going to a different lab company for the last several years since they had some long term employees that could get my veins. I was honestly a bit nervous to go to Quest and encounter someone who hadn't worked with me before. Check-ins are done at the kiosk. It's easy to do and was literally just one to two minutes at most. I had an appointment for 1:00 pm and was called back less than five minutes later. Unfortunately for me, only one of my Dr's lab orders went through their system, so I had to get bumped out of my appointment. I called the MD office for them to re-send the orders and ended up being a "walk-in" but since they weren't super busy, I was called back again after ten minutes. The phlebotomist who worked with me was, Gervon? I hope I got that right. I meant to write his name down but got side tracked. Anyway, he was great. He was progressional, and easily without hesitation, able to find a vein on me. The poke was painless. It was so fast. Gervon, filled several vials and was done before I even realized he was switching them out. I will definitely be asking for him during future visits. I was very happy from start to finish. I was told I had to repeat the entire blood draw because my original sample and results could not be located. This is more than an inconvenience--it is alarming. What happened to my blood sample? Was it lost, mislabeled, or discarded? Patients trust Quest with sensitive medical information and specimens that can directly impact their health and treatment. Losing a blood sample is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about quality control and patient safety. No patient should have to wonder where their specimen went or be forced to repeat testing because of an internal error. I hope Quest investigates what happened, improves its tracking process, and provides accountability so this does not happen to anyone else. And the staff doesn't take this matter lightly!
