I was wrong it was a bed bug. My friend and I who stayed in the bottom bunk have quarter sized welts all over our extremities. I have had to take off from work, was put on antibiotics and steroids and now am going to have to call an exterminator to check that I didn't bring them back that may home in Long Island. They have denied any responsibility even though I have never had bed bugs and this is the only place I've stayed other than my home in 6 months. Also my husband and my friends husband who were at home have not had any bites, thus the only place we could have gotten them was in this bed that we shared here. They refuse to refund me my money. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT BED

We have been going to the Finger Lakes region for the last few years, but never stay close to the…read morelake. This time we decided to find a rental closer to Seneca Lake, and this cabin was. The location, was great. Close to many wineries and not too far from Geneva's local town to go out to eat and to Wegmans. Our main concerns are actually with the home specifically. The grounds are beautiful. It looks a little colt like, with the way the houses are set up but well maintained and a very welcoming space for our two small dogs to run. What was problematic for us was the inside or structure. The water smelled horrific. It actually smelt like rotten eggs and it was apparent the water had not been treated in a very long time. We actually went and bought gallons of water to cook with, wash our hands, drink and brush our teeth. Only two of us stayed in the home, thankfully, otherwise the smell would have been even worse with more guests. Next, the grill was filthy and had not been cleaned in quite some time. The directions clearly state the renter is responsible to clean the grill and/or the cleaning crew and neither have happened in a while. It was filled with grease and made us apprehensive to even use it with foil. Another major concern was the front step was loose and rocky. When entering, I almost fell a few times. This needs to be fixed for everyone's safety. The cabin was well equipped with all necessary household essentials, but there are several cob webs that need to be cleaned and the bug zapper is filled with bugs (inside the house) which really grossed us out. We appreciate the zapper there to catch bugs inside the house, but the ceilings and zapper need to regularly be cleaned. Finally, the dishwasher is extremely loud/broken and needs to be repaired so we were unable to use that. What is really upsetting is we emailed the owners and expressed all of our concerns and how the above really impacted our stay and we felt the price was not fair in conjunction with what we paid for (over $1200 for 3 nights) Their response confirmed they would be fixing everything we notated and also made mention they planned to sell their property so they were not really worried about what review I would write. While I understand they are going to be moving on, I took that as quite a smack in the face. Basically saying well, we are retiring and selling so we do not care what you have to say. So conclusively, I felt it was necessary to share a true and candid review. ***changed from 2 to 1 stars because now I'm getting nasty emails from the owner. Unreal I'm being harassed because I told the truth. I tried to work with him via email but they weren't even sorry nor cared and claimed I was "bitching". Oh I'm sorry all we wanted was clean non contaminated water, that must be asking way too much from a $400 per night rental. I edited to add that he's now sending harassing emails with lies because he's upset that we told the truth! He's claiming his house was messy and another claiming we left dog poop - all lies! Unreal he would treat people this way. See the photos for his nasty comments. Also, after all of the harassing emails and nasty comments I decided to look up the owners and found out he was sentenced in a pedophile ring!! Omg- how horrific and now I'm worried for my safety. Makes more sense now especially since he was so rude, nasty and demeaning to us. BEWARE do not stay here!! Just look up the owner, Robert Lawty and you'll read some really disturbing news!! Wow, I'm so bothered by this.

Then I found Connect-A-Service; these guys were able to do just about anything from cleanups to plumbing, electrical, yard care and property management. I hardly ever had to make a trip over there anymore. They made it all possible, I could never have done it without them. Always, they quickly responded to any of my requests, and took care of any issues very fast. Connect-A-Service even took over the sale of the house once I decided to sell. My last tenant moved, they fixed the house, including a basement renovation and got it on the market super fast. It sold quickly. Once again, everything was taken care of and I never even had to make a trip to Penn Yan. Outstanding! Thank you a thousand times!

I was never a guest, however if I were to ever stay at an Airbnb, I would go through Get Red-y vacations. I got to have a "behind the scenes" experience, and I know that they are an honest, caring, and well-established business. When it came to cleaning, everyone was a team player and extremely thorough-I have never seen homes more clean in my life! Wiping down walls, door handles, crevices that you'd never even think to clean! They even took the time to teach me how to fold bottom fitted sheets- and I don't know if anyone else can relate, but I've always struggled folding these! They went above and beyond to make sure their guests were comfortable during their stay, providing essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, wash cloths, dish soap & a dish sponge. They even provided a complimentary bottle of wine! If you are looking for a relaxing, inviting, comfortable "get away", Get Red-y Vacations is the place to go!

DO NOT BOOK with this company!! I would give them zero stars if possible! Horrible customer service…read moreand their business model is GREED! I booked our family vacation at one of the homes that Red-y Vacations host/manage through AirBnB. I booked online, paid with my credit card and received the confirmation. Within an hour -- I received an email that AirBnB cancelled my vacation!! When I called I was first told it was cancelled because the house wasn't "ready" for bookings...?! This seemed odd as the house was booked for the week prior to and the week after my dates. With some further investigation, I checked the actual website of "Get Red-y Vacations" (who manage the home that I booked) and they had the house listed-- (for the exact dates I had booked!) -- but for almost THREE (3) times what I had booked it for, so the initial "excuse" given to me for the reason they cancelled -- "the house not being ready" was a blatant LIE! I was then told by AirBnB it was because I booked it for too low of a price and there was a "glitch in the system" that I shouldn't have been able to book it for the price that I did. They said there was nothing they could do because the owner of the house cancelled. AirBnB also advertises "AirCover" on their site -- which they state you are covered against owner cancellations is equivalent to nothing for the customer other than refunding your credit card. I then decided to reach out directly to "Get Red-y Vacations" to inquire further about the cancellation and to appeal to their sense of ethical and principled business practices -- to honor the price as listed, and to do the right thing by the customer. I explained the entire situation to the owner, Chris. After telling her my name, she greeted me with "Oh, YOU'RE the one who's vacation we cancelled". She then specifically told me that she can get more than double the price that I paid for the dates that I had booked-- however it was advertised for a specific price and I had already booked, paid and received confirmation of my vacation. Isn't this false advertising = FRAUD!!!?! Wouldn't they be expected to honor the price listed and as sold? For example, If you order and pay for an item on Amazon, they don't and can't just cancel the order and email you an hour later telling you the price for your item was listed wrong, and the item is now almost triple what you just bought it for!!! This would be fraud!! Furthermore, also offered to Chris to pay MORE than the price I had originally booked it for, as a good faith gesture that they might be willing to meet me in the middle and, again, do the right thing for the consumer! Well, a week later and I still hadn't received a call back from Chris. I then called and left a voice mail and also filled out the online form on their website to "be contacted asap". Nothing. And again, a couple days later, called, filled out form to be contacted. She obviously was ghosting me and avoiding coming up with a resolution. Finally, I received a call from a woman, "Sarah" who said that Chris asked her to call me. Not even sure if she worked for the company, could've been Chris's friend whom she coerced into calling me to cowardly get out of calling me back herself. Sarah proceeded to apologize about 20 times but said "her hands are tied" and there was "nothing she could do." I told her she didn't have to keep apologizing, and there were, in fact, things they could do, but they were simply choosing NOT to. They would simply have made less profit on the 4 days that I had the house booked. Simple solution. The profit margins in this business are already so exorbitant, they still would have made money. I explained that as a small business owner myself, that my customers are my number one priority and maintaining reputable business practices in today's climate is of upmost importance -- whereas customer reviews can make or break a small business's reputation. Sarah didn't seem concerned with making things right in my particular situation nor about their unethical business practices or about their reputation. Sadly, "Get Red-y" is ONLY concerned about making a larger profit, no matter what the cost.

When questioned about this, we were asked if we don't always bring these items when staying in a friends home??.. To answer the question, "NO". Also, when paying a premium price for a luxury apartment, I expect that it will be fully stocked with basic necessities. I suggest skipping this company, and find a nice hotel. This is what we had to do. We lost a day of vacation dealing with this situation, and quite a bit of money.

We booked with Heaven on Earth due to the fact that the apartment that they were renting in Paris was in a fabulous location, and that it was described as an upscale, luxury apartment. When we arrived at our filthy apartment, we were shocked to find out that we would not be receiving adequate linens or any kind of cleaning supplies, personal or otherwise. There were no paper towels, no cleaning supplies, and not even hand soap. After we arrived, a family of four, we were told to stagger our showers, because there would not be adequate water supply for for the family. Needless to say, we checked in to the Westin Hotel around the corner.
