I've been a customer for over five years, in two different homes. Company was good prior to change in ownership. I get monthly exterior spraying around the perimeter of my home for scorpions. I'm considering leaving for the following reasons: -Monthly rate increased this month from $61 to $67 without notice, no change to service. When I called to ask why I was told that some customers received notice that rates would increase but a large majority hadn't. Customer service didn't know why but acknowledged they were getting lots of calls about this. Rate also increased last year. -Unauthorized withdrawal of monthly service charge on debit card used for prior month's payment when I had not authorized auto payment. Again when I called about this I was told that they had changed systems which caused all unpaid balances to be automatically debited against cards on file, even for customers who hadn't authorized auto payment. They refunded the payment and I then went and manually made the payment as I do every month. I immediately deleted my credit card from their payment system. I was told the issue hadn't been communicated to customers. I was only made aware of the issue because I noticed the charges and called them! -Fraudulent scheduling - my home is serviced every 30 days. Has been for years. Over the last year I've noticed they try to service closer to every 20-25 days. Unless you call to reschedule you will end up paying for extra services per year. For the past two months I've caught the issue, rescheduled and continued to get texts trying to schedule me for less than 30 days from last service! For example, I was serviced 4/15, my next service should be close to 5/15. Received text late Friday afternoon 5/2 informing me of pending service on Monday 5/5. I called first thing Monday 5/5 and the customer service rep agreed that I should've been closer to 5/15 and changed my service date to 5/15. Today, 5/7 I received a text reminding me of my 5/9 service! When I called them for the second time this week to correct their error, no answer. Left a message and I'm waiting for a callback. Never expected to have to babysit a company performing such a basic service. read more

Used to be a good company. Then they were bought out by a corporation that doesn't care about customer service or quality. They are deceitful and will increase pricing without warning. They verbally lied about service and we signed a vague contract. Turns out they did nothing they "verbally" agreed to. Termite control was expense and didn't work at all!! We have more termite problems now than we did when they installed their in-ground perimeter termite control at our house. Thousands of dollars spent for nothing and they don't care one bit that it didn't work. Even their own employees say the company is "no good"! I've been using Responsible Pest Control for monthly exterior treatments and have had little to no issues with pests. If it ever seems like the service is coming up a bit earlier than the 30-day schedule I agreed to, I just call and they're happy to reschedule. They always notify me ahead of time, so there's plenty of opportunity to make changes if needed. In my opinion, it's not shady--just a practical way to keep their teams efficiently scheduled. I also recently scheduled a home inspection, and Sean arrived promptly. He was professional, courteous, and very helpful. Honestly, I expected to be told I had some serious (or made-up) issue like termites or bed bugs--but that didn't happen. Instead, he noticed some dust by the ceiling fan and asked when I last cleaned there. I admitted I never had! He suggested it might just be dust, but if it returns after cleaning, it could be a sign of termites. His advice was simple, honest, and not alarmist at all. Overall, I've had a great experience--no bugs, no pressure, just solid, reliable service. read more

Our initial service was fine. Issue we were tryiing to resolve were ants looked like they might of been beneath our kitchen window. Of course we understood that we would see more activity because of the spray. Two weeks later the ants were still active. Everything was off the counters. We called them back. The guy says he would spray out by the window again. Another week later they have moved to the other side of the counter top. I call again. I was advised there was not a technician in the area and they would need to call me back. No one called back. I letf messages, sent email no response. However, I noticed they have a pending charge on my card for monthly service again. I advised them via email that I wanted to cancel. No response. I can't see how they would not be in breach of their/our contract if they do not respond or resolve the original pest issue. The one guy said to not spray them, I should kill them with my hand so they can make it back to their nest with the poison.,, We will see.They do not seem to be very responsive after they set you up for autoPay..Very disappointed,, read more

Used this company based upon reviews online. This company has always been very responsive and helpful. The first initial spray we got the 2 gentlemen walked through everything with me and were so patient. They answered all of my questions and focused on the areas where we were seeing the most scorpions. When we first moved in we would see about 10-15 scorpions a night. Now after 3 treatments we are lucky to see one a night. Now our backyard is a scorpions paradise with the rocks. Daniel is our normal sprayer and he goes above and beyond to give us the best treatment and customer service. Overall, very responsive company. Responsible Pest was great when we used them. They did a relatively thorough job and their service people are really great - courteous and professional. Our problem occurred after we canceled service with them. We called to cancel and received confirmation of cancellation, but then they showed up the next month anyway. And the following month - at which point I turned the service person away and asked him to make it clear to the office that we'd canceled. Then we received a collections letter for the service fees for those visits. So, poorly run back office who will refer you to collections rather than give you a call to straighten things out when they make a mistake. For that reason, suggest avoiding. read more

I live in an older house with a big yard and animals outside. We have always had a problem with scorpios roaches and other bugs I even found a rat once. We had a big pest control company and it really never got better. Responsible started doing our pest control and Ray Brown is the best big man we have not seen any live bugs in the house since he has been doing our service . Thank you ray brown. read more

We moved to AZ in July and Responsible Pest Control was recommended to us by our family members. I have been extremely impressed with them from the customer service agents to the technicians who come out to our home, they have all been very courteous, professional and on time.
