Cheers to a beautiful spot by the beach. The cocktails were made to perfection, so refreshing. The staff are not friendly at all. We had the cerviche, mussels, butter lettuce salad, ratatouille, burger, swordfish. It was just ok. Bring a pic nic when you go to crescent beach and go to one of the much better restaurants on the island to eat. Like Leon 1909.

Cute location right on the beach. Great atmosphere and beautiful location. Went with friends and had a delicious dinner. Enjoyed various drinks (espresso martini and recommended drinks) as well as various food dishes. Enjoyed calamari, tartare, branzino, and ricatta. Everything was delicious and well prepared. We were staying at the Sunset Beach Hotel, and one of the highlights of our stay was dining at the hotel's restaurant. Not only was it conveniently located, but it also offered stunning views of the bay area. Watching the sunset while enjoying our dinner was truly a memorable experience. However, the food experience had its ups and downs. The steaks we ordered were quite small and came at very high prices. In fact, most of the food and drinks we ordered seemed surprisingly expensive, especially considering we weren't in Southampton. Perhaps the restaurant assumed all seaside destinations are like Southampton in terms of pricing. That said, the quality of the food was good, and the service was attentive and friendly, aside from the prices, everything else was satisfactory. For a future visit, I think I would take a ferry over to Greenport and dine there instead. The views are equally beautiful, and I believe it might offer a better value for the experience.

I come to Shelter Island and the Restaurant at Sunset Beach continues to be an amazing spot for dinner. Their menu changed a bit, and they even added a smash burger!

I went for lunch with a big group of girlfriends and we loved it! I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, fresh food, the prompt service, and the drinks from the bar. I had a drink called the "Tu Casa" that was most refreshing. I will return again next summer as it is one of the most memorable meals from my summer.

My sister and I always love coming here at least once each summer. We usually make reservations for dinner, or sometimes just come for a drink at the bar. We love their frose and the beautiful views of the beach. Last time we visited we had the calamari and ricotta to start, both very delicious and filling. For mains we had the linguine vongole and it was probably the best I've had. It is pricey, but expected for the location and you can tell that the food is great quality.

Oh my gosh what a party!!! Felt like I traveled to the south of France for a couple hours! Had a good three-hour lunch with delicious fresh watermelon cocktail, frozen rose, branzino, hot fudge brownie sundae, mussels, homemade bread, and oysters. Loved it all and worth the trip to Shelter Island. Head to Sunset Beach after and pass out. 5 stars!!!!

The scene is super fun- you're literally eating dinner on a beach, with a DJ, great drink, fun times! Be prepared to pay through the nose for the food. The service was really off when we went. Grumpy and curt. That's if you're lucky enough to get a reservation. The bar scene is jumping and lovely. Can bring dogs. Have your inhaler ready for when you get that bill. It's a doozy.

Once you walk in, what you see isn't what you get. There's an inside area, a rooftop deck, and an outside patio. The group made reservations for 2 p.m., and we had a fairly large party (around 10 people), and they had it ready for us. At first, our waiter service wasn't that great. They kept forgetting stuff for the table, but later on, it got better. We ordered a lot for the table, and each had our own entree. Oysters for the table, artichokes, hot mussels, asparagus, tartares, and a bunch of good pickles. I was able to get a bit of the linguine alle vongole and ate the entire or whole branzino. I ate the fish clean off the plate, and only the bones were left. For drinks, we got this orange alcoholic beverage for the entire table. I don't recall the name of it, but it was very refreshing. We drank two of those pitchers clean. They gave the table frose's on the house. I enjoyed it!. All in all, it was a bit pricey, but since it's right by the beach and the ambiance people pay for that.

We visited this place with such high expectations. We went there on a beautiful August day and were seated with such a great view of the beach from our table. Everything unfortunately went downhill from there. The staff was curt and in some cases incredibly rude - especially the bartender. The food was just okay but so overpriced. I must say this place has so much potential but our experience was such a let down!

Beautiful, pricey, euro, excellent views and also a hotel, this is the place to be on shelter Island. If you do not have a budget I highly recommend Sunset Beach.

So disappointing -- I ordered a crudité and received a large plate of raw, dirty vegetables. Not even cut up. Pretty unacceptable. For the price and the atmosphere, this is incredibly upsetting. Please reevaluate this "dish."

I think I did once... but apparently I completely forgot about it. Well, I finally sat down and ordered the lobster roll, and now I'm wondering what took me so long. I can't believe I slept on this lobster roll! If you know, you know ;summer doesn't officially start for me until I've had a great lobster roll. As of Summer 2026, this one is my favorite. The lobster was fresh, the mayo-to-celery ratio was perfect, and every bite was exactly what I want in a lobster roll. Safe to say I won't be waiting this long again. I'll absolutely be back!

We showed up a few minutes early and were told by the counter person that (a) that our order hadn't been started yet and (b) that we were told it would be an hour when we called and we were early. And there was an edge in her voice. So we went to run an errand and came back 25 minutes later and the order still hadn't been started yet. So it's now more than an hour from the time we ordered and now we are in freefall. So we cancelled the order - with more attitude from a different counter person. It wasn't so much the delay in the order - things happen. But it was the attitude that accompanied it that was most off putting. It felt like a learned behavior.

What began as a tiny oyster shack quickly became a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, introducing countless people to the art of shucking and enjoying fresh local oysters. Over the years, a loyal community formed around their welcoming, family-like atmosphere and genuine "come as you are" attitude. The memories made there--and the children who grew up with this beloved seaside fixture as part of their lives--are truly impossible to quantify. Fortunately for all of us, Little Creek Oysters embarked on a new home that allowed them to continue their vision while expanding it in exciting ways. Their new location at 211 Carpenter Street offers an inventive menu, an exceptional selection of local seafood, and a beautifully curated modern-rustic seafaring aesthetic that feels both fresh and authentically North Fork. Today, guests can enjoy the experience across two floors, plus an inviting outdoor patio complete with fire pits, good company, and the unmistakable charm that made Little Creek special from the very beginning. No visit to Greenport is complete without rubbing elbows with local fishermen, residents, and visitors while enjoying some of the finest local oysters around. Bought our dinner from here for the second time in two days (can you tell we're fans?) Yesterday, we ordered two 2 lb lobsters and 2lbs of Cod. For no extra charge you can get the lobster steamed and partially broken down (made easy for you to crack open and get down to business ty v much) Naturally, we opted for the pre-steamed/broken downfare and passed on the live option. I absolutely love lobster but I don't think I could ever cook (kill) one, myself tbh. This weekend, we were going to go into town for oysters and wine but upon yelping the prices (average price of $3/oyster aka yeah right. No thanks, buddy. When you can get great $1 oysters at many reputable NYC restaurants you find this to be lowkey insulting) we decided we should buy our own bottles and check out Alice's oyster offerings. Jot this down: most liquor stores in Greenport/Southold/Mattituck carry a variety of bottles from various north fork vineyards so wine not stock up. Of course, Alice's did not disappoint! They sell a dozen oysters for $12.50. So basically I could buy three dozen oysters (roughly) for the price of one dozen in town. If you give them an hours notice they'll even shuck them for you free of charge. Hosting an event? Alice's offer a raw bar party option where they'll set up a raw bar table and prepare the oysters/clams etc. in front of you at your event. So to sum up this super long review, Alice's is wonderful, attentive and of the highest quality. Go check them out on your visit to the North Fork
