    Butternut Squash Ravioli, Risotto
    Makenzie D.

My girlfriends and I visited Restaurant Christine on a chilly Monday night. Tucked in a cute storefront in North Wallingford, street parking was readily available. We were seated fairly quickly with a reservation, which I would recommend making, but it was packed inside. We started with the focaccia and yuca appetizers, which were both delicious. Our table ordered a combo of the butternut squash ravioli, mushroom risotto, and artichoke pasta. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, though everything seemed a bit salty. Our server was nice, but the restaurant seemed very laid-back for a more expensive, white tablecloth atmosphere. The service was extremely slow at times. I would plan on spending at least two hours here for dinner.

The food was pretty good, though I'd say the appetizers were better than our mains. The halloumi and focaccia were great. The wine and beer options were also lovely. The service was really good though I think the chef was our first server and then our second server might have gotten confused and forgotten us. Either way we enjoyed our meal and it was a cute spot for a nice dinner. Romantic and intimate vibes. Would come back!

Given the great reviews, I was caught by surprise to find a menu with almost no seafood options. Maybe the catch was light that day? Our choices for seafood were only three: the shrimp po'boy, a crab cake sandwich, and a sockeye salmon special. I went with turned out to be a sadly bland chicken parm, recommended over the fried zucchini by the sole waitress. My mother's crab cake sandwich was far better: crispy and luckily not blended to oblivion. I guess call ahead to ask what the menu looks like, assuming your heart is set on seafood. Street parking was easy to find on a Thursday at lunchtime.

Restaurant Christine is a small, intimate bistro that serves wonderful food. It is on N. 56th, near Green Lake and the Zoo. The interior is spare but elegant with a casual elegance. Outdoor tables are available. The staff are friendly and helpful. My party was there for a late lunch. Everything we had was well crafted, presented and delicious! The prices were very reasonable. The wine list is heavy on domestic wines, but very nice. I look forward to seeing what they offer on the dinner menu!

A great local restaurant with good food and service! Prices are a little on the pricey side, but the quality and taste definitely make every penny worth it. They also have free street parking nearby, which is a win for Seattle! We came in on a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy and although there is one server for the entire restaurant, she was friendly and efficient. The owner/chef and a sous chef were the only ones in the kitchen, so food does take a while but neither of us minded. We tried a summer special - chilled berry soup, which was interesting. It didn't quite fit my flavor profile but I appreciated how sweet and fresh the berries were and the deep flavor of tarragon. The main star of the night was definitely the lobster ravioli, which came in a tomato sauce, topped with grilled zucchini and lump crabmeat. For dessert, we got a limoncello cake and panna cotta with marionberries. All in all, I highly recommend, especially because it is a local small business and also because their food is delicious!

A very cute little restaurant in the Greenlake/Wallingford neighborhood. It is walking distance from Greenlake. This is very cute restaurant for a casual lunch or a nice date night dinner. We got one of the sandwiches and it was very good. We would come back and get a burger any day. We especially loved the fries. We were sad that we didn't decide to get the truffle fries. That is next on our list. I was disappointed by my dish with the chicken and asparagus. I personally did not like the flavor profile of this dish. It tasted and felt oversaturated with the gravy/sauce that it was in. It felt like it lacked another ingredient. The waitress was very kind and gave us plenty of time to make our order. We will be back for the truffle fries!

Let me add another five-star review. After a morning at the zoo, we stopped in at this white tablecloth, classy place after 2 pm, so fortunately, they weren't too busy to accommodate a 2 year old. Our server recommended a breaded chicken cutlet, beautifully prepared for the youngster. I was enamored with the lunch special, a nicoise salad, with tasty tuna and crispy green beans. Our son loved the wild boar bacon sandwich that he said was the best he has had, and my husband had a delicious shrimp po' boy. Every meal had quality ingredients, and we can't wait to return to try out their dinner menu. The ambiance is classy casual.

Excellent meal here! I ordered the salmon and it was very good. Portion a bit smallish, but cooked with care and was delicious. My dinner companion had the seafood risotto and it was also excellent. The dessert was the cannoli was reasonably priced. All and all, I had a very nice experience.

Food was average. Service was great. Cute spot, but risotto was bland, shrimp was undercooked, and chicken wasn't crispy. Just ok

THE SHORT OF IT: - Absolutely exceptional ambiance, food,…read moreand service. I can't wait to go back! Service was quick, attentive, and everything arrived in a very timely manner given how busy they were on a Saturday evening. The menu truly has something for everyone and the wine list is exceptional. We also had a birthday at the table and still felt special and well-attended despite every table being full. THE INSIDE: - The stained glass windows and hanging lights give such a warm, cozy, yet upscale vibe. - There are many tables and booths. - Handicapped accommodations can be made, but I'd ask in advance, as some areas are tougher to navigate than others. THE FOOD WE TRIED: - Pasta dish: Garlic Fennel Sausage, Oyster Mushrooms, and Snap Peas with Creczenza, White Truffle Oil, and Tagliarini balsamic, red and green basil, parsley, grana padano. Absolutely stunning. I could not finish it, so I'd suggest splitting it with someone else if you can't take it to go. It was so ridiculously flavorful and fresh. I want to eat this 11 more times. - Scallops dish: Sea Scallops Seared in Cast Iron with Oyster Mushrooms and Yellow Corn Risotto asparagus pistou, red basil, white truffle oil, crescenza, fine herbes. Presentation was gorgeous and scallops were melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The corn risotto underneath would honestly be just as good on its own. - Steak dish: Snake River Farms Wagyu Baseball Cut Sirloin 9 oz. The savory compound butter on top was the perfect amount, and the two sauces on the side (chimichurri and a brown one I wish I could name, it's in the pictures) were so good I could have eaten them by a spoon. Steak was cooked to an ideal medium rare with a perfect sear. This was the star of the table, even with everything else being SO GOOD. -Seafood: Big Easy Jambalaya, deep creole flavors, unapologetically spicy wild gulf prawns, chicken, house made andouille, tasso. The person who ordered this said it reminded them of straight New Orleans fare, so I trust their experience! Properly savory and chock full of flavor. SIDE NOTES: - Someone at our table had a seafood allergy and had no issues despite the vast amount of seafood on the menu and around us. - Reservation system is quick and easy. It feels a tiny bit cramped to move around outside of your seated area, but once you're seated, you absolutely won't care given how delicious everything is! - We ate here before attending an opera and had a cozy corner booth reserved months in advance, so that may have improved the experience a bit. :)

We came about 30 mins early for reservation and the host was able to accommodate our early arrival. The restaurant is nice inside and has a unique vibe. When our waitress arrived, I informed her it was my birthday and overall her energy was just dry throughout our service. Not that I was expecting her to give me a cake but a smile would have went a long way. I ordered one of their margaritas and it was meh, overall I just didn't have a good cocktail anywhere we dined in Seattle. I ordered one of their king salmon dishes that was "creole style" but severely lacked seasoning. My boo ordered the steak, which also lacked salt and was served with boxed mash potatoes, which they should be ashamed for at this price point. I also had 4 oysters as an appetizer and they were so small! I was expecting more from the seafood as it seems to be what Seattle is known for. They oysters were fresh, but $22 for four tiny oysters is offensive. This experience may have gotten another star if the service was better but this is place I'd just skip.

Mac and cheese was really goos and we reordered it, and the burrata was great, though I don't remember much about it. For the brunch, the main meals were good. I had their breakfast sandwich and it was tasty and of the right size. Their bread pudding was tasty though it was more of a French toast in a sweet gravy vs a gooey pudding. Interesting twist and it worked. Overall a great place. The service was exceptional and 2 people that took care of us were outstanding. I've been adopting a lower tip approach in Seattle owing the increase in minimum wage, and would like us to get to a European low tip or tip optional situation. This restaurant owing their amazing service made it hard to tip low, but I still had to to stick with my principle. Highly recommend this place for a nice sit down meal.

The guru finds himself in Seattle looking for local fare. This is another place you yelpers said…read morewas good but I have some reservations. I came in super curious about this scallop dish they had. Now I've had scallops every which way possible. Scallops are so yummy they are next to impossible to ruin. But this dish called "oven fired bay scallops" changed my mind. It's basically scallops baked in cheese sauce. I took one bite of this thing and spit it out. I never thought I would hate a scallop dish but this is it. This is an absolute hot mess of a dish that should be taken off the menu and never be made again. The baking basically overcooked the scallops to the point that they are like rubber balls. On top of that all that cheese overpowered the subtle taste of the scallops to such a degree that I couldn't even taste the scallops. Then I tried their prawn appetizer. the chef made this one spicy. There was so much spice on it I could barely taste the prawn. I had to scoop it off the prawn before I could eat it. Those prawn were actually tasty and fresh and perfectly cooked. It really needed nothing more than some lemon juice. Then I had their rigatoni which was ok but the sausage that was in it was also a little spicy. What is this chef's obsession with spice? another thing I noticed was I was trying to find something light but they don't really have anything light. all of their pasta has a traditional tomato sauce or a cream sauce. All their salads are bit and full of cheese. Their pizzas are sizeable and full of toppings. This menu seriously needs to be redone. add a few light dishes and ditch some of the heavy ones. Overall food is decent enough for 4 stars but I am deducting a star for those two terrible appetizers. This is clearly the result of a young chef trying too hard. This chef needs to learn that sometimes less is more.
