Stopped in for a most delicious dinner here last night. This is the same location as Brie & Bordeaux, Eva, and the Himalayan Sherpa House, and it lives up to their excellent legacy. The decor is not much changed, an intimate, romantic dining area with real tablecloths and candles, an equally lovely little bar. Quiet, pretty location, but parking can sometimes be challenging. My husband had the hanger steak, and I had the half hen. Mine was reminiscent of Thanksgiving dinner, with tender boned bird sitting on a bed of mushroom stuffing and a lucious pool of gravy. His steak was sliced, and served with roast carrot and potato cubes. Incredible gravy (I sneaked a taste). We also had the crispy brussel sprouts roasted with honey and topped with pistachios and ricotta as a side. A perfect pinot noir completed the meal. Service was attentive and friendly. This is a neighborhood gem that really deserves support to get off the ground and thrive! read more

Excellent surprise to find a new restaurant in the neighborhood serving delicious upscale fare at a reasonable price. Both dinners were exceptional presentation and flavor without being heavily salted like many fine dining restaurants. We had the sea bass cheeks and pork loin. Both were excellent. We have been at Christine about 5 times now, and every time we had a great meal and super enjoyable time. It is a cozy restaurant, where no one seems to be in a rush, and service is warm and friendly. We always go with our kids and they treat them great. It has interesting and not very common dishes, like liver or frog, as well as more traditional stuff, like risotto or hamburger... So far everything we have tried has been cooked to perfection. If you try this restaurant leave your honest feedback and food review. We ate here on date night and were completely turned off by the chef abusing his employees. When you have an open kitchen you can hear everything. It reminded us of Hell's Kitchen with mediocre food. The kicker was the pasta that we barely touched sent us to the bathroom for the remainder of our night. Our bar friends highly recommended this restaurant and told us that the owner is a good friend of theirs. Asked us to help support them by leaving a five star review. My new favorite restaurant! I had lunch with a friend at this amazing neighborhood bistro. Everything on the menu looked great so it was difficult to choose! I selected the Boar BLT which was amazing. Thin slices of bacon and heirloom tomatoes with fresh aioli on homemade honey wheat bread. Wow. The owner chef, Adam, is personable and accommodating. Chef Adam does an amazing job with the menu. We took my girlfriends parents and friends from out of town and had the most amazing time. Chef Adam was able to greet us at the table and was very personable. I had the half a hen and a warm beet salad which was fantastic, one of the best dishes I have ever had. My girlfriend had the wild mushroom risotto and she could not stop with the compliments. The parents loved the futti de mare and 4 cheese ravioli. Needless to say the food was impeccable and our server Kate made the night unforgettable. I highly recommend visiting. read more

We rented an airBnB in the Green Lake area and wanted to go to dinner nearby. We found Restaurant Christine. It is a really lovely little restaurant and the food is excellent. We had chicken Marsala, a mushroom risotto (with locally foraged mushrooms), and liver. All were delicious and beautifully executed. The same was true of dessert. Just great food served by a thoughtful and attentive staff. While they have beer, wine, and ciders, this is not a pub with "bistro" level cooking. Instead it's delicious, inspired cooking that is a notch above! Fine dinning in a friendly and cozy place. Newly opened restaurant in the Tangletown/Greenlake neighborhood. This location has a unique feel of casual elegance. The food was fantastic. I had the chicken parm sandwich and my mother had a burger. The chicken was perfectly cooked, nice and crunchy, great flavors and served with some top notch fries. My mom's burger was a thing of beauty! She claimed it was the best burger she can remember having. They are open for lunch and dinner. Can't wait to go back! read more

Great new spot in Tangletown - food and service were top notch. For starters, I had the beet salad, which was a step up from most beet salads. It is served warm, with a lovely arugula salad, chèvre, and candied nuts. I loved their seafood pasta (panna de mare), which had very fresh pasta, a cream sauce with peas, clams, halibut, crab, shrimp. I would get both of these again. My husband really enjoyed the breaded chicken (Milanese) and the clam chowder. Foe dessert we had a pistachio cannoli that was so good I almost took a second one home for later. The wine list is decent, and the restaurant very comfortable. We will go back for sure. read more

This restaurant has recently opened and is the chef-owner's dream of both opening his own restaurant and honoring his grandmother, Christine. As we arrived very early, We were warmly greeted by the chef himself. The halibut cheeks were sooo yum. My husband had the hanger steak which he made disappear. The restaurant is new, but we've been there twice already for lunch, with plans to make it a regular part of our week. Husband had the burger with fries each time (he sees no reason to alter); I had the halibut cheek sandwich the first time and next time the vongole (both excellent). I plan to eat my way through the menu before deciding what my regular dish will be, assuming I even can decide. Food is great, hurrah, no worries there. But even better is the atmosphere: cozy, quiet, warm, yet still casual. You can hear each other speak. Friendly owner/chef Adam makes it an even more pleasant experience. We received a warm greeting upon arrival and seating. The interior done up nicely with tablecloths on each table. The dinner menu is wide-ranging with something for everyone plus appetizer and main course specials. All dishes emphasize local fresh ingredients. Our two mains were a seafood pasta and a nightly special of rack of lamb. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavours were wonderful. We also order the special Brussels sprouts to go with our mains. Very yummy! The wine list an excellent selection of wines at very reasonable prices. Service was attentive and friendly. There was a sincere effort to make our meal and experience special. Adam, the owner and chef, came around to get feedback and chat. We discovered Restaurant Christine about 4 months ago and have since had many lunches and two dinners there. Adam, the chef/owner acts as chef and server at lunch time and provides excellent sandwiches with as other reviewers have said the best fries. For those wanting something lighter the menu offers alternatives. We also had two dinners there and the last one with friends was excellent. We all ordered something different and we were all happy. I had the scallops with saffron sauce and probably the best scallops I've ever had. The service is very good and I love the ambiance which is warm and welcoming. I also like that Adam changes the menu occasionally adding seasonal ingredients. Please give Restaurant Christine a try. read more

The owners took a chance and opened their restaurant during the COVID pandemic. I'm glad they took the risk, because this is an elegant, roomy place in Tangletown to dine on Pacific NW cuisine (unlike the nearby MKT which is so packed you feel like you're in steerage on the Titanic). I had the scallops, which were cooked to just the right texture and seemed to melt in my mouth. The dish came with saffron rice and broccolini, both excellent accompaniments. The wife had chicken marsala, which she also rated five stars. For desert there was limoncello cake, exceedingly delicious without being overly sweet. It was a great finish to a great dinner. Kudos to the waitstaff, which was attentive without being too cloying. We'll be back. read more

Restaurant Christine is a new Tangletown treasure! The service is warm and friendly, as is the space itself. Chef Adam has created a varied dinner menu, as well as an interesting wine and beer menu. My friend and I started with a cup of the wild mushroom soup, which was so good! I had the chicken piccata, and my friend had the hanger steak. Our server, Kate, offered to veganize the soup if we preferred, and she also offered that Chef Adam make a different sauce for my friend's steak, since she is lactose intolerent. We dined here last Thursday night for our 5-6'th time. It never seems to disappoint. But this time was extra good. Unfortunately, the place was almost empty. But that just meant that we had the Adam and Cody Show all to ourselves. And what a show we had ! After Cody explained all the specials, we ordered all the appetizers on the menu ( we were 5 ). All were delicious but the squash blossoms were especially outstanding. Extra large and filled with cheese. Yum ! I went with the special lamb shank. Holy S**T !!! I could not finish this hunk of super moist, fall off the bone, tasty lamb meat. So good ! The others had the tagliatelle with artichokes and the steak frites. All equally good. We did finish with all the desserts, most were home made at the restaurant. A special shout out to Chef Adam, he was very accommodating with any special requests to his dishes. He made it easy for us to tweak the plates. No truffle oil for my wife, and no curry on the lamb for me. The wine list here pushes all the usual buttons but we ended up bringing our own bottle of wine and the corkage was very modest. All in all a wonderful culinary experience.
