The service at the West Palm Beach and Boynton Beach stores is atrocious. Nobody can answer a question or direct you to someone who can. They don't answer the phone. The last time I was there, I spent 20 minutes in the fresh seafood section, and nobody showed up to help. I have a limited time to shop, so I can't waste that time here. I purchased frozen shrimp 4 days ago. I opened the bag last night and the frozen shrimp smelled strongly of bad fish. Today I went to return this item and was told by manager Rafael that it was not possible. He refused to return or exchange it. He said the return policy was 72 hours. There is NO sign at the front entrance at customer service, NO sign where shrimp is sold at freezer section and NO sign at check out counter. An employee conveniently pulled out a sign from under the counter. The shrimp also had a sticker showing expiry date instead of manufacturer ink stamp on the bag. THIS is 100% unacceptable and unprofessional conduct. THIS is likely a reason why people get food poisoning in restaurants. read more

Edit: Business Manager said for me to contact him. I did, and of course, I never heard back. They dont care... But at least my opinion of Restaurant Depot is out there for everyone to see..... I usually buy my produce from Rohrbeck's but couldn't get out there so I had to go to restaurant depot. I bought a 25 lb bag of fresh beets. The following night, sunday, I open the bag and pulled a bunch out and put them in my pressure cooker. I noticed that they were moldy. I figured once I cooked them, I could peel the skin off and they would be fine. So I cooked them, let them cool and started to peel them. Every single one of them was rotten on the inside as well. I tried to call the store several times, they do not answer the phone. So the following saturday, I went back to the store to return them with receipt. The lady at the counter was nice, she went back in the produce department and grabbed some guy with a beard and he came up and looked in the bag. He started to say something but because it's so loud in there I couldn't hear him so he asked me why it wasn't full and explained that I tried to cook some of them thinking that once I peeled them they would be fine. So he went and grabbed some other guy. I'm assuming he was the manager. He explained to me very rudely, that it's produce and you can't return it after 3 days. I explained to him that I work and I couldn't return them until my day off which is today. He said very rudely, we have phones. I said well that's funny because you don't answer them. He said that they do answer them and I told him that I could prove to him that they don't answer them because I tried to call them 10 minutes ago and the phone just rang and rang and rang. He didn't want to hear any of that when I started to take out my phone. He knew he was busted. And he told me too bad, you can't return them, it's over the three days and basically screw you. Well I went off. And then he started making fun of me. What manager makes fun of a customer? I will never, ever, ever shop at Restaurant Depot again. I love to shop here when I'm in the area. You have to have a business tax ID to get in to shop. It's not for the general public. The check out line isn't as bad as others complain about . It's the same anywhere you shop. Seafood department has good prices on seafood. A lot of selection of bulk items. I have never found someone who worked there to be rude to me . I can find help if I need it . I like shopping here better than shopping at Gordan's .They have more of a selection and if I'm looking for a hard to find item I usually find it in Restaurant Depot. read more

Cashiers are extremely abusive toward customers, the manager with the ginger hair doesn't care about his customers who spend thousand of dollars a week there. Check your prices when paying, they like to charge you different prices than shown on their shelves. read more

Lucky for this place the prices are good cuz no one would ever come here for the customer service! Not enough people worling here so you can't find someone to help you. I've been buying meat from Restaurant Depot for quite some time now, especially since they have a decent selection of halal meats. I just cooked up some chicken breast and it had an odd, tough, chewy texture. I was turned off and couldn't eat it. Turns out the chicken had what's called "woody-breast syndrome". The manufacturer is Koch Foods. I tried to make an inquiry about it but I was met with a lot resistance and no answers. I would stay away from the chicken prepared by Koch Foods. read more

I love love this place the seafood is always fresh and cheap. I find things here that I couldn't find else where. The staff is very nice and friendly they tend to help me out when j forget my membership card at home. They have the rudest staffs in this place, especially the manager at the cashier! I called half hour ahead to order a case of seafood, the guy told me the price over the phone. It took me an hour to drive here from home. When I pay at the cashier they overcharged me for it without noticing me. I found out about it and went to the manager, he refused to give me a refund with a racist accent and horrible attitude and keep saying they never tell customers prices over the phone and other excuses!
