Such a unique and fun experience! My fish was wrapped like a present which I've never had before and was very filling. The schnitzel with the peaches was so flavorful! Highly recommend. We ordered the two different German sangrias...they were a little sweet but still good (could've used ice/not that cold). For appetizers we ordered the pretzel stand, cup of Bavarian cheese soup and cucumber salad but then the waitress informed us that they were out of the cucumber salad. The pretzels and soup were very salty but the dips were good. Then for entree we ordered the hunter schnitzel (this was good but needed the red cabbage with it) and the sampler under the German selections (the sauerbraten was the best then followed by schnitzels day then the roulade was a little tough). We decided to sit outside in the beer garden which was very nice but this seemed to effect service. We were waiting to get drinks refilled and entrees ordered. Overall we will be back but to try some different items on the menu! We heard there was live music on certain nights which we plan to go and see. read more

I was n town for the WWII Von Kessengers Train Event in Parrish I am a Reenactor. This WWII Reenactment happens every year at The Florida Train Museum. I was looking for some good comfort food. It was like Octoberfest which I missed. I had two incredible servers who took such good care of me Christine who is German & Victoria such sweet people. I ordered The Apple Strudel, Hunter Yeiger Schnitzel, and a nice stein of Wursteiner which was ice cold delicious . The restaurant is so cozy & warm. It's like a old school restaurant in Germany. You feel like you're there. There was a older German gentleman who was playing a accordion singing German songs and the chicken song. He had everyone singing and clapping our hands. It was so fun and added to the experience being in this quaint beautiful restaurant The chefs are creating old world, delicious meals. This is the best German cuisine I've ever had. The exterior and decor is unremarkable, but don't let that distract you from the amazing dishes awaiting you inside. Plus, the German bier selection is worth the trip just by itself. I had a house salad to start - mixed greens and carrot, cabbage, cucumber, tomato and onion. It was sizable for $6, and quite filling. I ordered the schnitzel sampler, and the schnitzel and the 4 sauces were succulent. Every bite was juicy and savory, and I had to slow my face so as not to just shove it all in my mouth. It was really that good. Finished off the meal with apple strudel a la mode that made my close my eyes and zone out with each bite. Do not go here without saving room for this - it was decadent. The weitress was nice,dressed in German folk dress. We ordered Mimosas for drinks. And for our lunch my friend had the wienerschnitzel with pan fried potatoes and I had the Gulash with noodles and red cabbage.The wienerschnitzel was perfect also the noodles were really good.The Gulash was nothing like a beef stew,the meat was too hard and not the right kind of meat to make Gulash.The red cabbage was extremely sweet and had an overpowering taste of nutmeg.It was actually not bad but different what I had before.I could not finish the Gulash. I had heard about this establishment from my German neighbors and had to visit it. My neighbors said it was authentic. The food is like a party in your mouth. I had the beef goulash with a side of cucumber salad. The beef goulash comes with gravy, mashed potatoes and cabbage. Every bite is married in this dish, as in the sweet, salty, savory just comes together in one big happy mouthful! A friend had the Tilapia and she found it moist, tender and flavorful. The food is some of, if not the best German food we've had in the area. The service is outstanding & the staff friendly. Today we had the potato pancake (crispy), stuffed mushrooms, & mini shank appetizers all with rich flavors. This was followed by schnitzel Cordon Bleu, the 2 Bratwurst dish, & the Sampler entree. We finished by sharing the Black Forest Cake & Apple Strudel & fighting over both three ways. The restaurant is small & has limited seating but its not an issue for a mid weekday lunch. There is an outdoor Biergarten area we are hoping to try when the weather cools. Our waitress/ hostess tells us they have traditional music several evenings a week as well. We feel prices are not out of line with other restaurants & chains of similar caliber. Portion size is excellent. The chef is a gem! I was so impressed with the ambiance here! We ate dinner on 12/27 in a large party and had a great time. The Alpine Doc was very entertaining and everyone loved their food. Whoever doesn't like the spätzle here is crazy. It's perfect. I was so impressed with the tofu schnitzel option for vegetarians- it's not a frozen thing but literally breaded thin tofu. This was a great find as we wanted authentic German food. The building is unassuming, but once inside the German ambiance is everywhere. Lots of German decorations and the accordion player added to the great experience. I had chicken schnitzel and it melted in my mouth. My daughter is having spatzel and she loves it! We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town! A year later and we went back. The food was every bit as good as our first visit! This is a small place so call ahead for seating. You will want to try this place. We had the sampler platter, lamb chops, pretzel dippers and Apple strudel all were excellent. There were to girls waiting tables and let me tell you they worked their butts off. They didn't miss anything and worked fast. The kitchen was able to produce food quickly and it was hot when arrived at the table. If we ever get back in the area we will go back. We were the first patrons on Sunday when they opened at 11:00a. But within 10 min., all the (available) tables were filled. Only one server (owner's wife), but she was fast, efficient, and friendly. Tables were spaced appropriately, and she wore a mask and gloves. Hubby had the Hunter Schnitzel, which indeed was huge. I had the Goulash. He really enjoyed his meal. Very flavorful, hot, and tender and mushroom gravy was awesome. My goulash was flavorful, but definitely re-heated as it was very dry. Sweet Sour Cabbage is delicious, not too vinegary. I'll try something different next time. Server told us about the Octoberfest they put on, so we'll be anxious to come for that.
