I highly recommend reservations on the Resy app about 1-2 weeks in advance, as the restaurant is busy in winter. FOOD: You can choose between a la carte or the Prix Fixe menu. The Prix Fixe is a small-portioned three-course (bite, appetizer, and entrée) menu featuring some of our signature dishes. The Prix Fixe experience begins at $58 per person (there are additional add-ons) for dine-in only. 1. Waterzooi Soup (3/5; Red Farms chicken | caramelized leeks | carrots | local cream | focaccia toast | parsley emulsion | carrot purée): This is a Belgian soup. The serving size of the soup in the prix fixe was relatively small. The presentation was nice, and the chicken soup was a nice winter dish. The chicken broth was savory but at room temperature. 2. Autumn Salad (2/5; mixed artisanal greens | brûléed bucheron cheese | radicchio | toasted French walnuts | red grapes | fig balsamic vinaigrette): I felt like something was lacking from this seasonal autumn salad. It's OK for me, as I mostly ate the bucheron cheese with the grapes and walnuts. 3. Filet Mignon (4/5; seared | maître d'hôtel butter | red wine jus | truffle potato purée | asparagus (additions: sauce Choron, seared foie gras, Maine lobster tail, local exotic Petrichor mushrooms): It was cooked perfectly. This is a staple in the menu. I did not add any of the additionals. The service was great. Our water and drinks did not touch the bottom. Last week, we decided to circle back on one of our favorites, Chateau 13 in downtown Bradenton. In the past, it has always been great and this visit was no different. We made reservations for 5:45 and showed up promptly. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was great throughout our visit. We started out with some wine and appetizers. We chose the snails, steak tartare, and poached pear & fennel salad. For our mains we rolled with a few foie gras burgers, filet, and chicken and mushrooms dish. I was enjoying a glass of picpoul when our apps came out. The wine selection was quite good and they had something for everyone. The food looked great as usual. The snails, salad, and tartare were very much enjoyed. The real reason I came was for the burger . This burger comes with truffle mushrooms, foie gras, shallots ham, and gruyere. It's quite fancy for a burger, but the flavor combination is perfection. While I am not a filet guy, every filet we have had there stood out. They do an exceptional job with filets. The chicken and mushrooms were very much enjoyed as well. Overall, we had a great return visit to Chateau 13. The location is great, food is exceptional, wine selection is vast, and the service is always great. Highly recommended spot. read more

Great food impeccable service..I enjoyed my Burger which had truffle mushrooms, foie gras, gruyere cheese along with fresh cut frites, cooked perfectly med rare. Salad and brussel sprouts My other half had the "Prix fix" dinner entree was a 3-4 course meal included Mussels & Frites cooked with white wine in a hint of tomato and calabrian chili peppers, frites had shaved truffles on top with fresh parmesan. Lovely dinner, staff is incredibly friendly they are knowledgeable even when trying new wines. Opted for the Prix Fixe menu; 3 choices plus many add on's. My Bite; Steak Tartare, Appetizer; Seared Foie Grad and Entree; the PEI Muscles & Frites. My hands down favorite was the Steak Tartare on a homemade potato chip. Came here for birthday, which they do not do anything complimentary for. Bummer on them considering they can afford to do this based on what they are making in profit from the steep prices. Food was ok, nothing to write home about..again especially for how pricey it was. I don't mind paying top dollar for great food but not for stuff that kinda lacked in creativity, flavor, and portion size. Service was attentive, but a little too fast...people don't go to expensive places to be rushed, we like to dine. Waiter seemed new as he struggled a bit to talk about dishes we had a few questions on, we caught him peering at our menu for reference. 3 stars due to waiter not warning us of last call for kitchen food, he would have had a higher check average and tip to match. Again guests come to dine at places like this. Glad we have it a try but Unfortunately we probably won't be back as we can get the food items we ordered at plenty of other places for a fraction of the cost. read more

I had to opportunity to eat at Chateau 13 for my dates bday! This is one of her favorite spots in Bradenton. It has such a unique vibe to it. It is super small, so I highly recommend calling up and making reservations. We had the privilege of having Doug be our server, and he was great. What a wonderful experience dining at Chateau 13. My wife and I had opted to order ala carte. Started with a charcuterie and cheese board which was unique and delicious. My filet with local mushrooms and my wife's muscles and frittes were exceptional. Mousse au chocolate was the perfect end to the meal. Nice and reasonably priced wine list. The food was excellent!! My husband and I both had the salmon. We also shared the octopus and frites for appetizers and shared the lemon olive oil cake and crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious! Definitely on the pricier side for the amount of food/drink we had. For 3 drinks total (2 Prosecco's and 1 Guinness), 2 apps, 2 meals (salmon), 2 desserts...bill came to around $191 including tax but before tip. But, excellent service and delicious food! This was our first visit! Celebrating my birthday. Possibly the best meal I've had in Florida! The prix fix menu is the way to go, great choices, perfect portions and perfectly prepared. Our server,Doug, was well informed, attentive and fun. Make a reservation well in advance if you want a table in the small but charming dining room. They do allow you to bring a bottle of wine with a 25 $ corkage fee. Keep in mind they only serve beer and wine here, the wine list is fairly comprehensive and reasonably priced. If I could give six stars I would. First off, the owner Jen is absolutely wonderful. She is very hospitable and knows her stuff. She got it right from the food to the Ambiance. Chris was a fantastic server. The food is so delicious and fresh. A must try is the sweet potato soup. Also they offer the Caesar Salad with Anchovies which never happens. The wine list is extensive. We had attempted to eat here once before but couldn't get in so we had a reservation and were seated promptly, highly recommend having one. Waiter explained a little about the food and took our drink orders, they have plenty of wine, cocktails and beer to choose from. Husband ordered the pork medallions and I had the tomato crab soup and the appetizer portion of the mussels Diablo. All was delicious, nothing to complain about. Ordered the bread pudding for dessert to share. Stepping in the door...a warm greeting from the owner and although we were a little early for our rez, worth it. We had "thee" perfect table at the window! (We opted for the corkage free as we had several of our own bottles to try). The menu is innovative and delicious. We chose the Chef's Prix Fixe option...delightful array of options to choose from ...Bites selection ( the decisions were difficult...everything sounded sophistocated like "art"). I chose the sea scallop crudo for my appetizer. The tastes and texures of the dish were fabulous. Two of us dining gave us so many treat for our palettes to sample. Enjoyed a dinner with a party of three here on a Monday evening. Service was attentive and friendly. Table bread and butter were enjoyed. I ordered the chef's pre Fixe dinner. The tomato bisque was divine! My main course was the chicken and it was a bit under seasoned for my taste. If i lived here, I'd probably come back, but because I'm visiting, I'd probably choose another restaurant because Sarasota has so many great restaurants i need to try! First off the customer service is off the charts. The manager makes the effort to speak to all her customers no matter how busy, she'll make that time. My husband and I truly appreciated that. We drove up from Sarasota to celebrate my husbands birthday / Valentine's Day at Chateau 13 and boy it was worth the commute.
