Avoid this restaurant at all cost!!! The "chicken" tacos were full Knuckles=cartilage. The drinks are completely watered down. And the prices on the menu are not what you will get on the bill. After we paid and left we were chased down and surrounded three waiters. We were basically robed for more money!! Total ended up at 110 us for one plate of tacos and two margaritas. This was the first stop after a day of bar hopping around Ensenada. We had about 5 margaritas and and 6 or 7 beers split amongst 9 of us. The total came out to about 70 bucks. The margaritas were tasty and massive, definitely only needed one, and the food looked good but we didn't quite have an appetite yet. The service was great and you had a good view of the shops and activities on the Main Street. Definitely not a place you'd want to go for a quiet chat with friends, there was music and they were ready for a party. Fun times, would visit again. read more

This place is absolutely horrible! It's an absolute tourist trap! There was a guy across the street who walked with us and advertised that there was happy hour, and when we got here there was no happy hour. Then they tried to charge us for three margaritas when we only had two. In addition, they only take cash. And then they claimed that the tax was 16%. That's more than Ca!!!! And then the bathrooms have no toilet paper, no soap and the water doesn't work. This is an absolute tourist trap and travesty of a restaurant/bar. Stay away if you have some sanity left after couple of drinks. We made the mistake of going in, and I should've listened to my gut instinct when the waiter didn't have menus. I insisted on seeing it, and when it looked like I was going to leave because there's no menu (he lied that he was new), another guy brought it out. This is where you have to be careful. One side of menu is in dollars, and the other one in pesos. Dollar side is TWICE as much as pesos. We had pesos so I memorized the menu in case they got shady with prices. We ordered two orders of fish and one order shrimp tacos. I didn't know they came in threes. I also ordered beef tacos. The food took forever! I had a feeling they didn't cook them there. I also ordered two bottles of water. When it was time to pay, they charged (as I suspected) in dollars. When we tried to pay in pesos, he tried to rip us off by converting dollars to pesos. That was literally twice the pesos. I argued with him that I'm paying pesos price, and that's that. He had me talk to the manager who was just some overmakeuped lady behind the bar. They probably didn't want me to argue with them in front of the storefront. When I threatened to call the police, they gave in and tried to give me change but conveniently didn't have any. I let them keep as tip, but they honestly didn't deserve a single peso as they were highly dishonest. It looks like I'm not the only schumck who got sucked into this place. We should've went with our original plan of going to off the strip Tacos Fenix. This taco joint is a stand and charge you honestly without trying to keep your change. Little did we know for about 8 of us it was over $300 US dollars they charge you like a 5 star restaurant considering we were tourist they spiked up the prices . This restaurant uses people to flag customers in and once you're inside there is NO menu, so they can charge as high as they want such as the cocktail with shrimp and octopus which was $40 (US Dollars). Never have I paid so much for a 15 to 20 dollar dish. Be careful if you do come in. And please ask for the person at the top in charge to bring you a menu and double check your check and charges. Sorry for the name and abuse this place does to customers. Garibaldi is usually a good sign for a good restaurant but this is the exception. Stay away from the people outside asking you to come in. WARNING FOR TOURIST! This place is a total scam when trying to leave... I presented my credit card and asked for the bill. I was informed they only take cash. I explained that I had no cash. I was ushered to a pharmacy and told my bill was $20 for a margarita and a diet coke. I laughed and said that was ridiculous. I asked him to show me the posted prices to back the total. This place could ruin your vacation if you let it. But for sure I will never get off the cruise ship in Ensenada because of our experience with these people. They charged our three kids $20 usd each for their virgin daiquiris and $20 for 3 beef tacos after they told us $10 for 3. I think the Tecates were $10 each.
