Welcome to Quebec! We dinned here on the recommendation of our local driver! The place was empty and service was nice. They don't rush you they allow you to dine and enjoy your company without pestering you to order and speed through your meal. They have a beautiful wine list as well as just as amazing wine cellar. The food is beautifully prepared and tastes as it looks. Nice view of the neighborhood. Dishes are large enough to share amongst friends yet sized perfectly as to not over eat. This was a fortunate discovery after visiting the Beaux Arts Museum. We had really delicious dishes after getting information from our server. I can highly recommend the risotto it doesn't matter which risotto they have on the menu as the mushroom risotto was so perfectly prepared I'm confident that any dish from this kitchen. read more

stopped here for a lunch after xmas, we were sat by the window facing the street. surprisingly, we were not cold, the window seats were well heated and perhaps it's their energy saving windows? nonetheless, we enjoyed people watching on the sidewalk while we dined. the place is cozy, warm, and well lit. you walk in through a couple glass doors to be seated. some thinly sliced bread with butter was brought out. we ordered the onion soup, beef tartare, escargot, a scallop entre, and a lamb pasta dish. post dinner, we had an expresso with a lemon meringue tart. appetizers french onion soup was really good, surprisingly not salty like the ones in the states. ample amount of cheese with croutons. the beef tartare was memorable, one of the best i've had. the escargot was decent, the sauce was smooth and buttery pro tip: beef tartare can be an app or entre size. entrees the scallop entre was ok, scallops were on the much saltier side, some of the vegetables were a little too charred. the pasta dish was hearty with its heavy cream sauce, the noodle could've used two more minutes in the water. it wasn't just al dente, it was a bit undercooked. dessert the lemon meringue tart was on the much sweeter side, but typical of a meringue tart. it paired nicely with the expresso. i definitely will come back here again the next time i'm in the area. parking is street, bring your canadian coins. read more

We received a recommendation from our concierge for late lunch early dinner as we just arrived in town. The menu was nice with good options. Had the onion soup (ok), the fois gras (excellent). Entrees were the pasta w duck and the veal. Each were delicious. Good wine list too. Nice spot to sit and watch the streets... excellent service too! read more

We went there to celebrate my parents 25th wedding anniversary and it was perfect! I took as my mainly meal the "graffiti risotto" and it was the best risotto I've had in a while. Service was incredible, we got ourselves offered three free drinks and three free deserts which were very delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for it's service and food. read more

The food was awful. The gnocchi was deep fried and they consider themselves an "italian restaurant". A disgrace.

So happy we found this place near our hotel. Everything was fantastic as was the service! I had the incredibly delicious ravioli, my husband had the risotto and our daughter loved her Caesar salad. We finished off the meal with a perfect crème brûlée (the best one we had the whole trip and we tried a few!). Only negative was the small pour of red wine my husband received, but that was a minor thing. Highly recommend this spot!!! read more

Appetizers on the fixed price menu are attractive and tasty. The fixed price menu is very valuable. It comes with an appetizer, soup of the day or salad, a main entree, and additional $3 for any dessert on regular menu. I like the fixed price menu but I was not able to find a main course that I like on fixed price menu, so I didn't choose fixed price meal. My family did choose it. Salted caramel crunch (chocolate mousse on crunchy camelized pecan) was very delicious. Cream brulee was just average. read more

We went there last evening and it was wonderful. Our waiter, Freddy, did a great job of checking on my food allergies with the chefs. We got calimari and the tomato caprese. Both were amazing. The filet and the French fries were both great. The salmon was good but not great. Our waiter made the experience wonderful. We went back again tonight (2 nights later) and it was again wonderful. This time, my wife got the rack of lamb instead of the salmon and it was amazing. We had Freddy again. :-) We, of course, got calimari and tomato caprese again. We are still trying to figure out why their tomatoes are so amazingly good. read more

This is the best restaurant I tried in Quebec! Their food is amazing, we love every bite. We ordered scallop as appetizer, mix with coconut milk which tastes lovely. Their classic pasta is very cheesy which I love. And their beef tartare is probably the best beef tartare I've ever tried! What's better than their food is their perfect service!! Managers and waiters were all friendly! They explained dishes on menu very patiently, gave us sample to try, helped us to take photos and provided blanket for our baby! Totally love this restaurant! Stopped here for lunch when in Quebec a couple weeks ago. Ate on their patio out front which made for good people watching. I don't recall exactly what I had, but it was a fish dish and it was quite good, although a bit pricey (after tax and tip, and only one beer each, the total for two of us $75). The servers were also friendly and attentive. Despite being pricey, I'd recommend this place..... in the 2.5 days we were in Quebec this was the only restaurant in Quebec that I'd recommend. That alone has to make it 4 stars when compared to the competition. read more

After a very nice week reserved a table for dinner for two.Got there and was given a poor table in traffic area.Asked for a new table and was told we could have one as long as we were done in 90 minutes. Waiter then rushed us through menu not bothering to list specials : food was good but service was rushed and impersonal. Got bad vibe on way in and thought about leaving :should have. Excellent service and great food! Our waiter was fantastic, and the food was good and came out quickly. I ordered the scallops and pork belly, more pork than scallops. Taste was good, presentation very good. Accommodated my 5 year old son with a kids menu, and was very friendly. Once he got a large table we lost a bit of service and had to wait. Dessert was delectable, portions appropriate and priced very well for a fancy restaurant. read more

Just delightful. Cute vibe of an interior overlooking the action on Ave Cartier. Some great choices. We had for lunch, fish and chips and steak tartar with fretes. Our server was a true delight to chat with throughout the meal. Can't wait to get back for dinner. read more

Restaurant Le Graffiti - Italian Near Me - Quebec City, Quebec

On our first night in Quebec City the host of our hotel suggested this restaurant and booked us reservations. It was wonderful. First the service. The service was highly attentive but not overbearing. I like to study these sorts of things and noticed that the servers kept their distance but also looked our way many times. As soon as a water glass was less than half full or we were finished with a dish - in they gently whisked to fill the glass or remove the plate. We were trying to improve our French and the server kindly listened through our attempts, encouraging us. It was the perfect blend of high class service without snotty formality. Consumme was excellent as a starter. We ordered one dish of the venison flank steak - they delightfully split it into two plates for us, each its own beautiful setting. I've never had venison so tenderly cooked. It was in thin pieces but still a lovely dark pink on the inside. Came with a delicious sauce (more like a gravy) with blueberries - unexpected but delightful. For dessert I had the sorbet - small little balls of three kinds of sorbet (mango, berry, lime?) served in little groupings, some in a phyllo dough shell. There were probably 9 little balls on the plate with bits of fruit and fresh whipped cream. Really a wonderful, perfectly cooked, and interesting dinner. read more

If there's one restaurant you want to visit in Quebec City, then make it Graffiti. The attentive service is balanced deftly in this chic establishment. The French menu with a slight Italian twist, is flavorfully inventive. I had the braised lamb shank, and it was prepared to perfection. There is also an impressive wine list, so be prepared to sample some of their fine selections. I can't wait to go back to Graffiti when I return to Quebec! read more

Great ambiance. Friendly service. Tuna appetizer is amazing. Entrees took a long time to come out and when they did two meals were good but two were not so good. Venison was tough and extremely under cooked. The duck was good but but we ordered medium and it came very rare. The spaetzel was the worst of the meal. Very dry and over cooked. Disappointing as the place is very cool. But too expensive not to hit on 4 out of 4 meals. read more

The food was tasteless and bland, major disappointment in Quebec City, where even regular tourist traps serve delicious meals. Appetizer with beans and duck gizzards was oversalted and rubbery, the duck was rubbery and under salted. Pollack did not even taste like fish... Could not find anything positive about the food served, even the bread was cold. They also seem to be fixated on black pepper, perhaps in hope that it will add taste. Ambiance is nice, except for a strong chemical smell, staff was friendly. Will stick with known places (Chez Bouley Boreal is my favorite by far). read more

We had several good meals during our stay in Quebec city, but this was the standout, The atmosphere was a mixture of quaint and modern. the food was excellent and the service was off the charts. We started with the shrimp and scallop appetizer, which was light and tasty. The Duo of fondu of parmesan and goat cheese was a good next course, with both cheeses being very smooth and tasty. For entrees, the veal sweetbreads on pasta was fantastic. Our server recommended that I do the preparation of the sweetbreads based on the appetizer, with balsamic and mushrooms. I took her up on the suggestion and the sweetbreads were so tender and satisfying. The pasta was incredibly fresh and light. My wife had the duck risotto and it was also great with a good amount of duck and mushrooms. We had a nice bottle of rose that our server recommended. Overall, between the food, atmosphere and the incredible server, this was a great experience. read more

What a find! We stumbled across this place for lunch while shopping in the neighborhood. The prix fixe menu is a fair deal (although their a la carte offerings seemed high for lunch) and we duck confit and roast chicken. Excellent sides and desserts. Even received a trou Normande before dessert! Wines offered for lunch by the glass were excellent choices but not bargains. The place was crowded at lunch but our servers were excellent and efficient. Tables are close together but with a pleasant bistro feel upstairs. The cellar dining room looked perfect for a private event or cozy dinner. Definitely would return -- go there! read more

There was four of us for early dinner on Saturday. The food was OK, sauce (gravy) on the pork dish was very blah made from base and cornstarch, it was also used on the sweetbread appetizer as well. The guest that had the veal said it was very good. The service or lack of was the worst part of the meal. Had to inquire about specials several times, clear table, and anything we needed. Overall very disappointed in the experience. I would give 2 star, but there was part of appetizers and entree that was properly prepared and seasoned. read more

I received two independent suggestions for Le Graffiti, and was surprised to not see more reviews for this. I consider myself a foodie in training, and this is my first review... I agree with Deborah on the fantastic service - our water and wine glasses were refilled only when needed. We had some challenges in deciding what to order, and the staff came and checked in on us once to offer help, and then waited until the menus were closed before promptly coming to take our order. One thing to note - We needed english menus, and the table d'hote meals are only listed in french. These can differ from the regular menu items, so it is helpful to ask your server how they differ. I suspect having one french edition of the menu is helpful in these situations - something we picked up later in our trip here. I ordered the "trilogie canard" based on guidance from a friend. This is three kinds of duck, plus salad. Incredible. The duck pate served on a cruton was very delicate. It was the right place to start. The duck prosciutto was superb, and went very well with the lightly oiled salad. I have since been looking for duck prosciutto in the delis. Finally, the duck confit was amazing - the flavour was excellent and the meat was tender. I shared this with my wife, as it is a substantial appetizer. For mains I had cote de veau cart (veal) which was very well prepared, but combined with the appetizer was too much food for me, as I had no room for dessert. My wife raved about the strawberry pie. The atmosphere was lovely - we were seated inside, but near an open door. Outside there was serenading from two musicians who were very good. If you don't like those kinds of things you might sit indoors. read more

We came to graffiti after receiving a recommendation from our hotel. The upstairs presents a casual atmosphere. We were immediately greeted by a bilingual staff and promptly seated. The menu had sow many good things on it. We had the fois gras appetizer..outstanding, the wild game consumee, delicious and a Caesar salad . Very good. For entrees we had the venison flank steak, which I ordered medium rare. It was a thin piece of meat, but oh so delicate and cooked to perfection. It was in a wild blueberry sauce and was delicious. We also ordered the duck which was amazing !!! Did I say Amazing. Yum. For dessert they brought us out a pear tart which was outstanding. The crust was so buttery and flaky, I literally licked the plate. This restaurant has an extensive wine list, be be aware. One of our party drinks vodka and the standard pour is 1.5 ounces. He asked for a full glass and was charged for 7 vodkas ( it was a rocks glass ). This place is a little expensive, but so good. We ate here a few days ago on Canada Day since it was off the beaten track and we thought we might not have to wait for a table too long. Pleasantly surprised! I had fillet mignon with a mushroom sauce and my husband had a dish with duck. Our friends had similar dishes but all of our food was excellently prepared, fresh and creative. For dessert the waiter brought us beautiful chocolate plates. Service was perfect and we would definitely recommend a pleasant small excursion to Graffitti's. read more
