The owner is the one-woman show for this place. She's eccentric, in a good way. She is balancing a whole act here. She let us snag a table right at 18:30 but told us we had to be done by 19:00 since that's when the next reservation was. No prob! We placed our order for a mixed plate 1 + small sides of garlic rice and mashed potatoes. We saw a fam roll in, a group of four, and they had reservations. However, they didn't vibe with the owner and mistook her eccentricity for unwelcoming vibes - she did recommend them a nice table service serving similar foods up the street. Anyway, she called us over to pick up our orders to bring them to our tables. It was so yummy! A bit salty for our liking, but we were happy to try out her food. Her sauces are delicious and good to pour over the garlic rice. If you don't have reservations, there is always take-away as an option. Bon appetit

Plenty of locals in the place, especially since there was a futbol game playing. They are CASH ONLY. The portions are crazy big, even when you ask for only one person portion. Expect to be ignored for a little while, these guys are great for the kitchen, but we noticed they just take their time and come to you when they're ready, they are not being rude.

Their warm invitation to us was above and beyond. We primarily saw local diners who enjoyed the fresh and flavorful menu options. First visit we had the Iberian black pork ribs which came with fries & a salad and the steak. The amount of the tasty food was alot for our lunch. We decided to return for dinner on our last night at Lisbon. Wanted the seafood and delicious Iberian black pork ribs again! We were so delighted with the amazing flavors and the friendliness of the waiters and perhaps the owner. Happy we had wonderful dining experiences here.

They also…read moredo sell out so go early if there is something you have your eye on that is a "must have". Food smelled delicious as the fresh fish is grilled and brought out fresh. Most fishes also come with a side of boiled potatoes lightly salted (see picture of sardines). It's a classic European restaurant on the inside with many small tables inside with a few on the patio. Staff were overall very pleasant with a constant stream of staff members bringing food and checking in. As we were travelers and do not know much Portuguese at all, they still made us feel welcome and had good English language skills.

What I wrote down in my draft when I was here a couple months ago (I'm still catching up) : "now…read more*that* is some good squid" - I'd had exceptionally mediocre squid for lunch the previous day, from a place that was also supposed to be good (it was the opposite). Squid here was delicious, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and a bunch of it. Great potatoes to go with it, too. I'd eat here every day if I could. The "couvert" was fish pate from a tin, not made in-house, but it's Portugal, so the tinned fish was still great, obviously. The olives with it were just ok, but the bread was great. I was also happy that they did, indeed, understand that we were going to share it, but only wanted a couvert plate serving for one (I hadn't been sure.) I was a little sad my wife really wanted red meat that day, so we couldn't get the seafood sampler platter for 2, but her pork chop was also great, I know because it was also huge, so I ended up eating like a third of it. Also perfectly cooked and seasoned, and it did go great with fries. The fries were also great, too, super freshly made and perfectly crispy, though the one downside, everything else but the fries were ready super quickly, then the fries showed up after we were about halfway done eating the rest of it. Definitely freshly cooked, though! Also unlike the place the previous day that served us exceptionally mediocre squid the previous day, they also sell very affordable wines here. They have a good number of extremely reasonably priced half-bottles of all types, but we didn't need a whole half-bottle of wine, so I just got a glass of the house white, which was, at least as of a couple months ago, only 2.5 euros! Seriously, I'd come here all the time if I could.I wish I had gotten to try everything on the menu.

So many meats to choose from...some you have never tried before. I can guarantee that! I suggest getting the pick three menu. The Kobe and Bison are great but you will want to try something adventurous, right? Zebra? Alligator? The menu is for 2, so it's cheaper than you might think! Of course you should grab a house wine while you are eating. The menu comes with a big plate of fries, a big plate of fruit and sauces. You cook your meats on a super heated stone. They cook fast so pay attention! Cool experience if you are nearby and looking for dinner.

First - the wine list is very extensive and if you are a) not Portuguese and b) not familiar with the Portuguese wine, the menu could be very well written in Chinese. However, the staff is helpful and will get you there. Did I mention they have very reasonable prices too? Now, the food. You have a menu that includes every kind of meat and seafood you can think of on this planet earth (including zebra meat). Here is how you do it: either order one of the pairs on the menu (i.e., chicken+veal) or match 3+ meat types, all of which will go on your fondue (aka bbq). Your choice of any meat will come with 6 different types of mayo, french fries and a giant fruit platter. They bring a set of appetizers while you wait for your grill and do pick up the octopus salad. Meat is fresh, delicious and it is so much fun to grill your own meat while enjoying a nice bottle of wine. We will definitely be back here whenever we are in Lisbon.

We had reservations for a party of 2 on a Saturday at 6 PM. When you check in, they give you a slip of paper which has a QR code on it for you to access the menu later, and we were promptly seated upstairs. The menu is conveniently available in several languages (you select your language at the bottom of the main menu page). We were at a long table for 6, with us sitting on the inside and another couple sitting at the end, and the table settings in between us were cleared, so it didn't feel like we were on top of one another. I appreciated that the server gave recommendations that would be good for two people. We went with most of his recommendations (shrimps on garlic sauce (it's labeled as spicy, but it's really not), clams on garlic, tiger prawns grilled on bed of salt) and added some of our own (razor clams and lobster roll). All the seafood tasted fresh, bursting with flavor from the buttery garlic sauce, which we sopped up with garlic bread. The bread is brought to the table when you first get seated. It's not free, which I was aware of, but I knew it would go well with the dishes we ordered. The razor clams were juicy and sweet. The lobster roll was good, but not something I would order again when there's so many other fantastic seafood choices. I usually don't drink beer, but felt that it was appropriate since we were at a cervejaria, so I ordered a bottle of Sagres Bohemia. It went perfectly with the seafood. My SO, who doesn't drink alcohol, got peach iced tea. I wanted to get the prego sandwich for dessert, but my SO was pretty much full at that point, so I ordered a tarte whisky and a cappuccino for myself. The whisky ice cream layer in the tarte was nice and refreshing. I was shocked when we got the bill and it came out to less than 50€. This meal would have cost so much more in the US. You pay via tablet at the end and I left a generous tip in appreciation of the wonderful meal and service. They get you in and out of there quick, but it never felt like we were being rushed out. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for some fresh, delicious seafood in Lisbon.
